Siobhan allowed him to move her around and wrap his arms around her in his protective manner. She sobbed and there was that word again the thing he called her allowing him to find her. She moved closer as she slide into his lap buried her face into his chest, her arms wrapped around him as she sobbed. He was the only one she would allow to hold her like this after what happened. Something about him being built like a wall made her feel safe, as his strong arms held her protectively, She had no clue how long she had cried against his chest before she fell asleep in his arms, a week of not sleeping, not eating, only on a mission to be numb had lead to her being exhausted. she was unsure how long he just held her before moving her to his bed. When she awoke the next morning her hands balled into the blanket as she fluttered her eyes open and looked around as the sun came in, Her head was pounding as she had finally began to detoxify from the alcohol she had been drinking all week. She groaned as she threw the covers off her body as she sat her feet on the floor and stood up holding her spinning head.
She moved to the bathroom splashing water on her face before moving to the living room, seeing him asleep on the couch with another empty bottle. She walked over and moved his messy hair out of his face and smiled softly as he snored and chuckled softly "Again its your bed not mine, I wish you would just sleep in it." she sighed before chuckling agian. "Sleep well wolfy." She muttered as she leaned down kissing his forehead softly pressing hers forehead to his for a brief moment before standing up pulling on her pants and turn on the coffee maker for them. She made her way to the porch and stood there holding her hand over her eyes taking in the cold breeze of the autumn air. She reached down tying the end of his shirt to make it fit the best she could before she sat in his chair on the porch. Her eyes gazed over the land before they landed on the spot where Jack had taken her form, she felt as if she could see him standing there, but after blinking a few times he was gone, she swallowing hard she let out a shaky breath "Keep it together." she muttered under her breath before walking back inside to get a cup of coffee.
Noticing that Dominic was no longer on the couch, she shook her head knowing she probably woke him up. She poured herself a cup of coffee before making her way back to his work shop. She moved to the bike engine she had put back together tapping it softly before sighing.Thinking to herself how much easier it was to put the engine back together then herself. She sat on the work bench as she looked over the the trashcan she had been filling with bottles making a mental note that she need to go to town and get him more. After all she had drank over half his stash. A great way to thank him for being there for her, drink all of his liquor, She shook her head and then looked up from her coffee cup to the door as it opened and she stood up quickly as she saw Jack walk in "Get the hell away from me." She picked up a wrench as she backed away. "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed and tossed the wrench and the vision of Jack was gone, She panted out as she placed a hand over her scarred stomach and sat back on the bench. He was hunting her, The fucker wasn't done with his sick games of playing with her.
Her side burned as she pulled up the shirt the scar from where he stabbed felt as if it was on fire, Had he linked himself to her? Did he know he may not survive taking her? She thought to herself as she looked to the wound, her fingers ran over it, it was as if she was in a trance. She could hear Jack's voice in her head "Come on Siobhan, you know you want to raise me." "Shut up." She said back. "Siobhan I am just going to drive you crazy, so raise me so I can come be with you, I love you." "Get the hell out of my head." She said as she held her hands to her head "Get out of my head." "Siobhan! Siobhan! Siobhan!" He screamed over and over in her head. She was back inside of his home within another moment opening another bottle of his rum and turned it up as she began to drink it as quickly as she could to dull her senses in hopes to block him out again, She need to be numb to stop him from over take her mind. She didn't stop swallowing the hot liquor until the bottle was empty and she lowered herself to the floor slowl. The lightheadedness over took her senses and she closed her eyes as she leaned her head against the cabinet, numbness over took her and she sat there for a long time, Only looking up when she heard the heavy food steps of Dominic. She gave him a stupid grin, "Heeey." She hiccuped.
Dominic remained on the couch with Siobhan for what seemed like hours. The flames had long died and he stared at the embers as they fired off while slowly going out. She had fallen asleep ages ago, but he didn't move. He wanted to make sure she was deeply asleep before taking her to bed. There were moments when he thought she was waking, but it was just her getting comfortable against his body. He gently touched her face, moving her hair back and then sighed. Placing his arms under her legs, Dominic lifted the Nephilim into his arms and then stood up to bring her to his room. He pushed open the door with his back and gently placed her down. She was pretty much a rag doll as he maneuvered her under the covers and he knew it was from her lack of sleep over the past several days. When he was certain she was asleep, Dominic dragged himself over to the couch and immediately knocked out.
He woke the next morning, tangled in the blankets on the couch. As he turned on his side, the smell of coffee immediately hit him and he smiled. For a moment Dom had forgotten there was another person in his house and bolted upright, seeing as he normally didn't wake up to coffee being brewed. He came to his senses and put his hands through his hair to shake it out trying to wake himself up. The blankets fell around his feet as he shuffled to the bedroom. When he opened the door, Siobhan wasn't there and he took the opportunity to get in the bathroom while he could, as nature was calling from all the alcohol he consumed last night. There was still a leftover buzz in his head.
As he was splashing water onto his face, he could've sworn he'd heard a scream. He quickly turned the faucet off and concentrated his abilities outward. Nothing was coming back to his ears, but... was Siobhan talking to someone? After quickly changing out of his clothes from yesterday, he stepped out of the bedroom and saw his missing roomie who was now on the floor of the kitchen. He jogged over to her and put her arms around his neck. With a quick and easy motion, Dominic wrapped an arm around her waist and lifted her to her feet. His eyebrow quirked as he saw her face and then the empty bottle she must've downed. "Hey," he replied simply. He put his hands around the top of her arms and lifted her up onto the counter to sit, stepping in between her legs. Siobhan immediately fell forward to rest her head on his shoulder, but he put his hands on either side of her face and pushed back a few inches to get a good look at her. "What are you doing, Love?" Her eyes were glassy and it was clear if he let go, she would just fall into him. "Were you talking to someone?"
As Dominic picked her up the floor she leaned into him for strength as she felt the room spinning because she drank that bottle too fast, that was for sure and understatement. Her head slumping forward into his chest as she felt like she a rag doll in his strong arms as he left her sitting her on the counter she felt him pull her head back gently and she flashed a stupid grin as he nose brushed his, "Mmm." She said as she felt him pull her back further she opened her blue eyes "I had to make him stop talking to me." She said as she pulled her face from his hand and then immediately feel back against his chest, He repeated the cycle of pulling her face back form his body and then leaned her head slightly to the side while his hands held it up. "Jack, when I am sober its like he is connected to me." She said as she focused on the words coming out of her mouth. "Its like the moment I can feel again he comes in like a ghost screaming for me to raise him, What ever that means."
She let her head slump forward once again pressing it into his chest "It started the night we got back to your house, I ignored it and figured drinking would help and it did, that is the real reason I stayed drunk this passed week. I was tired of seeing him, every time I turned around." She took hold of the shirt she was wearing and pulled it off of her body, sitting in front of him in just her bra and jeans as she took his hand and placed it on the scar that ran over her side where he stabbed her "It is as if he connected himself to me when he stabbed me." Her gaze was still funny as she leaned her forehead against his cheek "I don't want to see him again Dom, Please help me wolfy, I will owe you one." She moved her face back and then leaned closer to kiss his cheek but her aim was off her her lips locked with his. She kept her lips pressed to his for a long moment before pulling back slightly "Don't take what I am about to do in any offence." She pushed him back which wasn't hard he just seem to move away, as she rushed from the kitchen to his room into the bathroom.
Once there she tossed up the contents of her stomach which only consisted of coffee and Alcohol, Groaning as she held her head in her hands pressing her head to the cold ground and grumbled to herself. She slowly sat up and looked to him as he stood there "Maybe chugging a whole bottle as fast as I could was not the best idea." She said holding her head. She took hold of his hand and stood up "Lets eat something so I can sober up and we can figure out how in the hell to stop Jack from being inside my head because right now, having you in there is enough." She muttered and moved with him through the house once again sitting at the table as she pressed her head to it. Then it accrued to her that she had kissed him, dear lord she had become the drunk girl who was shirtless kissing her new temporary roommate, a wave of embarrassment washed over her. She picked her head up blushing hard as she leaned down picking up the shirt sliding it back over her body before she muttered "I was aiming for your cheek." She tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. She tried to make her thoughts focus this wasn't her, she was the shy girl who didn't do more then give a hug, now...All of this was new and in a gray area for her.
Dominic's eyebrows furrowed when she was trying to explain who she was talking to, but he wasn't understanding any of it. He thought it must be the alcohol talking and tried to focus on her slurring words. Jack connected to her? A ghost screaming? He let her head stay against his chest as she continued talking. She seemed to have a sense of coherency as she began to talk about how she'd been seeing Jack since his death. Dominic was trying to wrap his mind around how that could be possible when she suddenly pulled back and removed her shirt. He let out a breath as Siobhan took his hand in hers and placed it on her side. His fingers slid over her skin to the scar that Jack had caused with his knife and he felt a wave of anger pass over as his touch lingered on her waist and she leaned her head against his face.
When he lifted his gaze to her as she pulled back, she was pleading for him to stop the visions. That was something he didn't know how to do. This was sounding like something for someone with a magical background and his mind began to think of who they could talk to about it. "I wi..." but he didn't have the chance to finish the sentence. Siobhan had suddenly fallen into him again, but this time it was into a kiss. Dominic knew he should've pulled away, but he didn't. In that moment it was just an excuse to finally touch the surface of the mixed feelings he'd been swirling around with for a long time now. His hand tightened on her waist as he moved in closer to her. Stop, Dominic. Stop. It was what he was telling himself, but he wasn't very good at listening to his conscious sometimes. Before it could turn into something else, she broke away. She was stronger than him. Or at least that's what he thought until she went charging for the bathroom. He sighed and shook his head with a grin.
Dom stepped into the doorway. He grabbed a washcloth and wet it with cool water as he put a hand out to help her to her feet before passing it over to her. "Eating something sounds good," he replied, though he had no appetite at the moment. "I do owe a certain waitress a fair deal of money." As Siobhan sat at the table, he kept his back turned to make himself some coffee and give her the dignity she felt she'd lost in the last few minutes. He poured the hot contents into a cup and stared at it without taking a sip. When she had mentioned she was aiming for his cheek, Dominic scoffed and smirked as he looked out of the window above the sink. "Yea, I don't blame you..." He wasn't exactly the best person to catch feelings for and cursed himself silently for acting out against her best interests. "Whenever you're ready, just let me know. I'd prefer if you didn't throw up in the truck," he joked, trying to lighten the mood, despite his, and taking another sip.
Siobhan whipped her mouth and took a bottle of water taking a few big gulps from it as she sat at the table, working on gathering her thoughts,, as she was sobering up and quickly. Siobhan could hear the slight hurt in his tone when she said she was aiming for the cheek. She could feel he was having mixed feelings about her for a while now, Hell she had mixed feelings about him also. "Not that it wasn't good, even for being drunk it was still the best kiss I have ever had." She said as her fingers ran along the table and she sighed in frustration trying to get her words out to explain how she was feeling towards him was becoming a struggle as she had never been in a place like this, where they both just danced around the fact that they may have feelings for each other. As she thought about the kiss, as soft blush came to her cheek when she remembered he didn't pull away from her kiss, in fact he moved closer, so she stood up from the seat and walked over to him taking the coffee from his hands and took a sip from the mug before setting it aside. She placed her hands on his chests. She let her blue eyes stare at his hazel ones for a long time, her body press close to his before she leaned back up slowly, watching to see if he would pull back.
Her nose ran against his nose, when he didn't pull back she pressed a quick kiss to his lips testing the waters, before wrapping her arms around his neck and pressed a long kiss to his lips now that she was sobering up, her lips moved with his as they pulled closer to each other. her fingers moved twisting into the wolfs long hair, moaning against his lips. It was a blissful moment, a very sobering moment but with the sobering moment came along the voice she had been trying to block out. "Turning into a regular old slut aren't you Siobhan, just took a demon popping your cherry." Jack's voice filled her head, She pulled back from the kiss growling softly as she looked to Dominic wondering if he heard the voice also. "He is back." she muttered as she slid down his body and got to her feet pulling her shirt back into place, her gaze moved to where she saw Jack leaning against the wall, He smugly waved at her. "You can keep blocking me out, its only going to get worse for you." She flinched slightly as the scar felt like it was on fire again.
She sighed knowing that she need to deal with this, She didn't want to have him in her head every time she wasn't drunk, with his commentary about her life, let alone her love life. She sighed softly as she had stared at Jack far to long before looking back to the wolf. "Let's go eat, I am good now. Besides you need to make things up to Patty, running out on her was not very nice." She laughed once and then blushed looking away from him, as she could feel her heart beat pick up looking at him because all she wanted to do was pull him back in to kiss his lips again. "Awe look the whore still blushes." Jake laughed out and she took a sharp breath "Shut up." she muttered under her breath moving out of the kitchen, patting around her bag until she found her cell phone that was dead, plugging it up before following him out of the house "I will call Isaac when we get back and see if he knows anyone that could help." then she remembered he wanted to take her to the guards before to help with the shadow monsters. "Or do you think the other guards could help?" She turned and looked to him before climbing into his truck, watching him drive as he did.
Dominic gave a quick sarcastic chuckle at her mention of being the best kiss she'd ever had, seeing as she probably hadn't done much of it before. He turned around to face her, taking a sip and smirking while letting the feelings he was having wash down with the hot drink. If there was one thing he was good at, it was repressing feelings. He was even better at it with a bottle in his hand. When Siobhan stood up and walked over to him, he kept his gaze on hers as she stepped into his personal space. As her hands crept up his chest, his mouth slightly parted in an attempt to stop her. To tell her they shouldn't. The words melted away as she raised up on her toes and brushed her nose against his. Her lips met his for a moment before she pulled back to look in his eyes and see if it was okay, but he wasn't going to step away. If she wanted to...
When her arms came up around his neck, Dominic's went around her back, pulling her off the ground as they kissed. It was hungrier than last time and the voice that was telling him not to was getting quieter. He tunneled a hand through her hair, grabbing the back of her neck until she suddenly pulled away. Jack was back. As Siobhan backed away, he noticed she was staring at something across the room, but Dominic saw nothing. Not only was she hearing him, but apparently seeing him too. He let out a sigh and put a hand through his hair before crossing his arms over his chest. When she suggested they head back to the diner, he stayed quiet, but nodded in agreement. Getting some air was something he needed right now. And rum. A lot of rum.
As they headed down the dirt road in the truck, she inquired about seeing the Guards as he had suggested in hopes they could help. Before he could answer, his phone suddenly rang with a number he hadn't seen in a while. "Hello?"
"Boy, if you don't get your butt down here to my place in the next hour, I will come up to those godforsaken woods and fry your ass, you hear me?!" It was an old psychic friend of his who happened to also be an Instar Diviner. She had helped him with a case a few years ago by locating a rogue Lycan who was killing for sport.
Dominic was more than a little surprised to hear her calling now, but then it occurred to him that she may be someone who could help. "Okay, Billie Mae, but we are headed over to the din..."
"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?" There was an audible frustrated sigh on the other end as Dominic pulled the cell away from his ear as she yelled. "Just hurry up and make sure that Nephilim doesn't go running off again." His jaw slightly fell open as she referenced what had happened the last time they'd been out to eat. "Close your damn mouth. Just get here!" The line went dead and he stared at the phone for a moment before dropping it on the dash. He turned to Siobhan who was looking more than a little confused.
"No," he finally answered her after given the chance in reference to seeing the other Ailward Guards. "But um, I think I know someone who can..." They continued onto the main road and soon came upon the diner.
Siobhan sat in the car as he had yet to speak to her since they had been in the kitchen, since she had kissed him, really kissed him, hell he kissed her back. She could feel the hunger he had behind that kiss and how she wished she could satisfy that hunger but with Jack there in the room making comments about how she had become a slut, made the moment uncomfortable, no matter how much she wanted to see where it was going to go, that would have to wait until Jack was out of her head. She was watching behind them as the dirt was kicked up from his driving, something about swirling dirt almost looked like dancing, When his phone rang, she looked to him. She watched his face go from surprise to questioning to confused in a short amount of time. "So someone name Billie Mae, Lets see how this goes." She chuckled once and let her eyes linger on him for a moment before she moved closer and laid her head on his shoulder as he drove. She hoped this person could help her, more then anything in that moment. If not she was going to have to drink rum for the rest of her life just to be numb.
Once they came upon the diner she looked to him as he parked the truck her hand rested on his forearm for a moment, as if to say she was there and wasn't going anywhere not this time. When their gaze met she smiled softly at him her blue hues holding his hazel ones, it was as if a small amount of that light that was put out was coming back slowly. After a long moment of staring at him just letting him know she was done running ready to face this head on, as long as he was by her side. she pulled her hand away and moved away from him to her side of the trunk to get out of the cab before her shoes hit the dirt under her feet kicking up the dust. "Is this Billie Mae going to meet us here?" She asked as she walked around the truck to get beside Dominic. She could see Patty giving him the death glare to him through the windows of the diner. "You are so going to have to go on a date with her to make it up to her." She muttered as she walked in front of him towards the diner looking back to him "Come on I haven't eaten in what feels like forever." When she walked in, all the booths seem to be full. So she made her way to the counter where there were three seats open, Unknown to her She sat right next to Billie Mae. "Biggest burger you got with fries and a milkshake." She said as she then leaned back and tapped her fingers against the counter lightly.
When she looked to the seat beside her her gaze narrowed on to Jack as he sat there eating a burger she almost hissed out as she stared at the empty seat. "You know this place has the best burgers must remind you of the time I use to feed you." Jack said as he smirked looking to her "Seeing how you love me and all." "shut up." she mumbled under her breath only supernatural beings would have heard her. As the vision smirked at her he shrugged slightly "Raise me and I will gladly stop haunting you." "Never." she replied softly again. It was as if she was locked in a trance when he talked to her it, took Dom shaking her before she pulled her gaze away, She frowned and and leaned up sipping the milkshake that was sat in front of her.
Dominic's eyes fell to her as she laid her head on his shoulder. They lingered there for a moment before bringing his attention back to the road. His mind had wandered so much that he almost missed the turn into the lot of the diner. He felt himself wanting to fall into his bad habits when he didn't want to deal with emotions. Alcohol, a bar, or a fling. When it was a really bad day, it was all three.
As he turned the engine off, he felt Siobhan's touch on his arm. His eyes looked over to her and she looked back to him in their silence. She was speaking to him, nonetheless, and the reassuring smile she gave him was trying to indicate she was okay as okay could be right then and feeling more confident that everything would turn out alright. Dominic could only look at her though as she finally turned away and got out of the truck. Words were failing him lately, but he answered her inquiry as they headed inside. "I think she wanted us to meet back at her place, but knowing her, she may pop up here. She's like that."
When they entered the diner, Patty was already standing at the door with her hands on her hips and a glare that could possibly murder Dom where he stood. As Siobhan walked over to the empty chairs at the wrap around countertop, he walked over to Patty and kissed her on the cheek, pulling out his wallet. He passed a hundred dollars over to the older woman and forced a small smile. "I'm sorry, Patty. Things got a little out of control and..."
"Don't worry about it, honey. I'm just glad it all worked out okay." Patty nodded over to where Siobhan had sat down and Dominic saw a familiar figure sitting next to her. "Good luck dealing with her though." The waitress smirked and continued over to her tables.
Dominic sighed and put the wallet back in his pants. "Thanks," he muttered, remembering all the times he and Billie Mae had come to this diner on one of his assignments some years ago. It was then Patty had learned about the supernatural world whether she wanted to or not thanks to the Diviner and her not so subtle ways. He walked over to the other empty seat next to Siobhan who seemed to be watching the chair as if someone was in it. He wondered if she was seeing Jack. Straddling the seat, he nodded to the cook who he knew well and knew exactly what Dominic wanted before anyone came over to take his order. He crossed his arms on the countertop and leaned forward, looking passed Siobhan and at the psychic who was slurping up her strawberry milkshake. "Hello, Billie."
"Bout time!" Billie Mae pushed the milkshake aside. "Henry, hurry up with those orders! We have a lot of business to take care of!"
Dominic began rubbing his temples, knowing this was going to be an interesting day. "Billie Mae, this is Siobhan. Siobhan meet Billie M..."
"Boy, I can introduce myself!" She smiled brightly and turned to Siobhan, giving her a once over. "Hello, you adorable little thing. My name is Billie Mae." Her Cajun accent was just the same as Dominic remembered it. She had only come to Evermore about five years ago, but had lived in Louisiana all her life. "I hope this savage over here has been treating you with nothing but respect." She emphasized the last word while shooting daggers at Dominic, knowing full well she could see whether or not her version of being respectful was being met. He gave Billie a sarcastic smirk before drinking the soda the waitress put down in front of him and looking away. "HENRY!" Half the diner was now staring over at them and Dominic shook his head as the cook came out with their food in doggie bags.
"Wait, we're not eating here?" Dominic asked as the waitress began filling up his soda again. "We haven't eaten in hours."
Billie Mae rose from her seat and walked over to Dominic, grabbing him by the ear and dragging him from his seat. "Sweetheart, would you be a dear and grab the food for us?" she asked over her shoulder to Siobhan as she headed out of the diner with him in toe. When they made it outside and she finally let go of his ear, they walked over to a more secluded part of the dirt parking lot where they wouldn't be seen. "Okay. Time to head home."
Dominic rubbed his ear in annoyance and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Home?"
"Yes, back to my house of course. We can't stay here while I read you," Billie Mae replied, matter-of-factly as she rolled up her sleeves. Dominic groaned and Billie Mae raised her hand as if to smack him to which he immediately flinched backwards. Her gaze went to Siobhan and she smiled broadly once more. "Ok, honey, take a hold of my hand." Dominic took a few steps back as they grabbed hands, folding his arms over his chest and waiting. Billie closed her eyes and within a few moments the two vanished before him, leaving a cloud of white smoke. He sighed and put his hands on his hips, waiting, and a minute later she was back again with her usual glare. "Well, come on." He placed his hand in hers and suddenly he was feeling like the world was spinning. He was glad he hadn't eaten anything yet because he thought it would be coming right back up again. A second later and Dominic felt his feet on the ground again, standing next to Siobhan in a completely different place. A place he knew well.
They were in Diviner territory off the main road where Billie Mae lived and also worked. His ears perked as he heard the river running passed her house where he stood many nights staring off into his thoughts as he was trying to work his case and then looked over at the familiar neon blue 'Psychic Readings' sign in the window. Billie Mae walked ahead of them towards the house, but Dominic took Siobhan's wrist and slowed their way to the door. "She can be a little... intense and straight forward. If you couldn't tell already." His gaze watched as she went into the home. "Try not to take anything to heart. She means well. She's just a little crazy." They had made it to the front door and as he grabbed for the handle, Billie Mae opened it and hit him with a rolled up newspaper. "Boy, I can hear you! I can always hear you! Don't listen to him! He's the crazy one that drinks and fornicates with every woman he can because he can't deal with his feelings like a man!"
Dominic put his hand through his hair as he held the door open for Siobhan. "Really, Billie Mae?!"
The woman stuck her tongue out before pulling a chair back at a round table in the middle of the room where she brought her clients in for their readings. She motioned for Siobhan to sit down and Dominic pulled out the chair next to her. The Diviner sat across from them and began rearranging the items that lay there. First she moved the tarot cards away and then pulled forward several different colored stones, candles, and a dagger. They both remained in silence as they watched the woman work until she finally placed her hands down, palms up for them to take hold of. They both placed their hands in Billie's and she sighed, closing her eyes for a few moments. "Well, I can see why all the confusing emotions." Her gaze went from Dominic to Siobhan and back and forth as she spoke to them. "It's your daddy." She was speaking to Siobhan then. "The archangel Michael wanted to make sure you were protected from the day you came to this Earth. Dumbdumb over here," she turned to Dominic as she said that to which he rolled his eyes, "for whatever reason, is the person he chose to protect you. He marked him in fact. You wouldn't see it though, but it's in the Ailward tattoo you all put on your bodies." His gaze went down to the right side of his chest to where his tattoo was, though he couldn't see it with his shirt on. "It's a burn mark in the same shape as the swirls of the tattoo. He's linked you to her and her to you. It's why you feel so drawn to one another. Also why that ichor the demon passed between you both has altered your abilities."
"Wait? Demon? What demon?" Dominic looked between both women. "Jack was a demon?" This was the first time he'd heard this.
"Yes, genius, he was. Is..." she replied. "He's still holding a power over her, it seems. The only way to break it and the connection you both have would be to resurrect him by the next full moon." Her glare went over to Dominic. "Then you can stop having all these mixed emotions over a much younger and innocent woman!"
He snatched his hand away and stood up, turning his back and walking towards the other side of the room. "Oh, give it a rest Billie!"
"Well, at least you stopped smoking every damn day. It wouldn't kill you to lay off the marijuana more though!" she shouted. Her eyes softened but became serious as she looked at Siobhan. "I'm going to let your daddy speak through me. He'll be able to give you the message better than I ever could. Okay?" Dominic turned his head at this and slowly walked back over as Billie Mae took both of Siobhan's hands in hers. "Ready?"
A few moments later the candles in the room began to flicker, the stones started to heat up, and the table shook slightly. There was a magical energy that thickened in the room and Dominic felt rooted to the floor. Billie Mae's eyelids began to flicker very fast and then they shot open. Her normal dark brown eyes were now all white and it seemed the archangel had arrived. "Hello, daughter."
Siobhan gaze pulled from the empty chair and up to Dominic as his gaze went passed her and she turned her head seeing the older southern woman and smiled softly, The grief she gave Dominic made her chuckle and she could tell they had a passed, a friendship even if neither of them would admit to it. She looked between them and looked to Billie “Honestly he has been nothing but a gentleman Ms.Billie Mae.” She looked back to him “No matter how much of a reason I give him not to.” she chuckled as she looked back to the woman. Taking the bags of food in her hands “More like days Dominic,” She corrected him as she watched him get dragged out by his ear by the much shorter woman “Making a note to try that move later.” She chuckled as she carried the food in one arm and the drinks in the other as she meet them outside of the diner.
“Home?” she question at the same time with Dominic and then reached out her hand and took hold of the older womans, feeling the world spin around for a moment until she was outside of her home, then seeing she was standing alone for a brief moment until she was back with Dominic. She chuckled as she handed him the drinks as they started to make their way inside of her home. She looked to Dominic as his hand took hold of her wrist slowing her down as he spoke she chuckled looking up to him “What are you afraid she is going to reveal your big dark secret?” She then looked to the woman once again as she rushed out pulling her inside of her home “Oh and what are his feelings Ms. Billie Mae? Enlighten me.” She joked sitting the food down and moved to the table where she and Dom sat next to each other.
Siobhan kept her gaze on Billie Mae as she spoke about the confusing feelings they were having each other and why Dominic was apart of her life. Of course her father was involved with it. She couldn’t even have a relationship without someone being involved with it. Siobhan rolled her eyes at Dominic “Well Jack wasn’t normal that is for sure,” She chuckled as Billie Mae said she had to sever the link to Jack before the next full moon. But the last part made her heart since as she told Dominic to stop having Mixed emotions about her. She frowned slightly, She wasn’t sure if she wanted that, if he had mixed emotions at least he was feeling something right. “I am no longer innocent.” she muttered as she kept her gaze on her hands in the older woman's as Dominic got up from the table.
The next work out of Billie’s mouth made her gasp softly “My father I can talk to him. I mean Michael?” She said as she took hold of the womans hand and then there was a male voice leaving Billie Mae’s throat. All she could do was blink staring at the white eyes. “Michael?” she asked and then swallowed hard.
“If that is what you wish to call me, you are far more beautiful than I could have imagined” Billie Mae hands rubbed hers “and much more stronger than you know.” The white gaze turned to Dominic “You know you were suppose to find her a long time ago, kind of late to the party there Dominic Tristan Howlett.” He said and then looked back to Siobhan.
“Tristan?” she looked to Dominic biting back a laughter before looking back to her father. “Michael why am I here on earth?” she asked softly.
“You are a rare child, Born of an Archangel and an angel. Your power was feared among those up here. They were worried that if you were given the teachings as the other Angels you would either be a great warrior or a great disappointment like Lucifer.” He said as he sighed heavily. “So we came up with a plan to place you with a family that would teach you core values that you would need. Yet the moment they got there hands on you they went on the run, moving place to place so we couldn’t find you. Damn Leslie’s.” he rolled his eyes. “I know they meant well but keeping from you humankind was not the point, you were to learn why they were god's greatest gift. With Dominic as your guard, friend, whatever you need he was to be there for you, as long as you were safe. But you are together now so it is better late than never I suppose. You could do much worse trust me.”
“Why Dominic?” She asked as she focused in on her father.
“Dominic besides his faults, is nothing but loyal, and good-hearted even if he tries to drowned himself in his vices. He will give his life to keep you safe. Don’t let his tough guy demeanor make you think he doesn’t have a big hurt in there. Just as he is good for you, You are better for him Xapham. You will bring Light to his life no matter how much he tries to fight it away.” Michael looked to him, “Stop fighting it boy.” He said and then looked back to Siobhan once again. “Don’t let this crazy woman tell you to stay away from Dominic, he needs to keep you safe it is an instinct to him. He will train you to be stronger, Faster and capable of more things than you ever image. But with your time on earth you will face many hardships as you work alongside Dominic to save humans, and other supernatural beings alike.” He reached one hand for Dominic’s placing it over Siobhans tiny one “Don’t fight it, let what happens happen as long as you two are together, everything will end in light.” He said looking to Dominic for a long moment before letting his hand go taking back hold of Siobhan, “I have to go before Billie Mae gets lost.”
“What about Jack?” she asked quickly.
Billie Mae smirked softly. “Billie will know what to do my dear daughter. I love you.”
“What about My father, my brother? Dominic’s family?” she asked as she held on to her hands tighter.
“They are all enjoying their after life, I kept my end of the deal there.” He said before leaning across the table and kissing her forehead “Go do great things Siobhan Xapham Leslie. Be the Hero you were born to be.” He said before looking to Dominic “Take good care of her. Please.” He smiled faintly before leaving Billie’s Body for good. Siobhan was shaking as she let go of Billie hands and bit her lower lips looking to Dominic.
When the archangel came through, he could immediately feel the difference in the room and it suddenly dawned on him how powerful Billie Mae really was to be able to house him inside of her that way. He'd always known she was an incredibly gifted Diviner, but this... When the archangel spoke, his voice seemed to vibrate down to Dominic's bones. This was certainly a powerful entity before them. He'd never felt anything like it.
When Billie, well Michael's, gaze turned towards his, he instinctively stood a little taller as he remained over Siobhan's shoulder. His brow furrowed in confusion when he mentioned he was meant to have met his daughter long ago. Sounded like he didn't have much control over his own fate. That was something Dominic wasn't exactly comfortable with whether he chose to do something with his life or not. When Siobhan made a comment about his middle name, he cut his eye at her before drawing his attention back to the being.
Listening to him explain the reason for Siobhan being placed on earth was making his head spin. This was some seriously heavy shit that he didn't think in a million years he would ever be a part of. As Siobhan asked why he was chosen above all the other people in the world, he lowered his gaze and gave a small exhale, before bringing his eyes back to Michael's. Hearing him speak about his traits was more than a little uncomfortable as he shifted his weight. He was never good at taking compliments and he swallowed the lump in his throat when the archangel told him to stop fighting against himself. Dominic was in fact, his own worst enemy. He knew that.
As Michael continued on, he couldn't believe they were meant to try and save other supernaturals as well. He could barely save himself most days, but who says no to an archangel, and if you did what happened? When Billie's hand reached for him, Dominic placed his hand out and she put it over top of Siobhan's. “Don’t fight it, let what happens happen as long as you two are together, everything will end in light.” When Michael said this, it hit a nerve in Dominic that reverberated in his mostly empty heart and he couldn't help but notice the archangel keeping his gaze on him as the candlelight flickered over their faces. 'Everything will end in light...'
When he mentioned he could no longer stay in Billie Mae, Dominic became worried. What were the consequences of housing an archangel inside one's body? As Siobhan inquired about their family members who had passed on, his heartbeat quickened. The one thing that made him drink himself into oblivion above all others. His family. To hear that they were okay in the afterlife made Dominic become slightly weak in his knees and he grabbed the back of Siobhan's chair for support. His parents were okay. His parents were okay. Michael's eyes moved over to him and he held his gaze as he asked to take care of his daughter. Dominic nodded in response and just like that, he was gone.
They looked at each other for a moment in shock until he heard Billie Mae softly groan as she lay slumped over in the chair. Dominic hurried to the other side of the table and took one of her hands in his and touched her shoulder as he knelt next to the psychic. "Billie Mae? Are you okay? Can you hear me?" A sudden smack from the hand he was holding hit him in the face and he grabbed his nose. "Ow! Dammit, woman!"
"Of course, I can hear you, you're right next to me!" She let out a huge sigh and the candles in the room suddenly grew stronger again as the weight of the magic lifted. "Now help me up. I need to get to my bedroom and rest for a while. Teleporting you both and having an archangel inside of me has wiped me clean of all my energy." Dominic placed his hands on her elbows and lifted her to her feet to help her along. Billie Mae looked over at Siobhan and smiled. "Your daddy was right. You will do great things, child. Just believe in yourself." Her gaze went up to Dominic. "Nothing you can do about this one, I suppose."
"Yea, yea, yea.." he replied and walked her to her bedroom. As he came back out into the living room, he saw Siobhan was still sitting in the chair as if she hadn't moved from the spot. Not that he could blame her. What had just happened was a lot to take in and he still hadn't even processed it all either. Dominic walked over to her and grabbed her hand, guiding her to the couches by the window. He took the bags of food from the diner and placed it on the coffee table, deciding they didn't need to say anything to each other just yet. Silence seemed to be the best option for now. While Billie Mae rested, they had time to think and eat and just be. Everything else could wait.
Siobhan watched Dominic drop her gaze and turn to Billie Mae as she groaned out. She just watched him and frown to herself, her eyes flicked to the older woman when she told her she will do great things. She looked away then not looking to Dominic as Billie gave her two cents on the matter of them. she felt defeated even though she shouldn't, She should have felt powerful, she had purpose in life and yet she wanted to crawl into a hole. She moved with Dominic as he pulled her to her feet and towards the couch. She stayed quiet as they ate the cold food and drank the warm drinks, just thankful to finally have something in her stomach, and something to keep her mouth busy while she thought, this time she had blocked him from her mind with out knowing she was doing it. All she knew was she didn't want him in her head as she felt the guilt wash over her.
After finishing the food she moved standing up rubbing her hands together, realizing she wasn't seeing or hearing Jack wondering if Billie had some how protected her home from those dark kind of energies. she sighed softly as her mind went back to the guilt she felt and looking to the ground keeping her back to him "I'm sorry for all of this." She could feel his confusing look on her back and she sighed turning to face him letting her gaze look with his once again. "I'm sorry you have no choice in this matter, you got chosen to baby sit the nephilim who should be able to do the simply things like fly with out a problem, and yet can't." She sighs softly "Some great angel child I am." She scoffed out "What great things can I really do? Get kidnapped? get in trouble? Those are the things I seem to be great at." She sighed softly as she walked closer to him.
She placed her hand over his guard tattoo through his shirt and felt the electric charge that ran through him to her. "It was sweet when you would come after me when I thought it was your choice, now it seems that Michael has taken your free will from you, and I won't stand for that." She muttered as her eyes stayed on her hand on his chest feeling the power surge between them both. "If it is the last thing I do Dominic I swear to you I will give your free will once again." Her eyes met his there was a serious look on her face "I want you to want to be around me because its your choice, not because you have to be because of this." She pressed her fingers harder into his chest frowning softly and closed her eyes. "I'm so damn sorry." she said again as her hand went from his chest to his neck, her thumb lightly rubbing along his jaw as she leaned her head down and pressed her forehead against his.
She laughed a pitiful laugh as she kept her eyes closed tight, "It sucks because right now all I want to do is kiss you while Jack isn't in my head, and I am not sure if that is because we have feelings for one another or its the bond that was forced on us." She felt the tears want to flood her eyes, she finally thought she had found someone she connected with and now knowing that connection may not be real was a blow to her, it was as if someone punched her in the gut, not able to catch her breath. "Wheres the rum when you need it?" She asked with a sniffle at the end of the question keeping her hands on his neck, her thumbs softly rubbing his jaw line as he sat on the couch making him and her pretty much the same height for once, her forehead pressed to his feeling defeated.
Dominic remained quiet as she vented while pacing in front of him. When she mentioned his free will being taken from him, his eyes went to the floor. Maybe it was true that his ability to stay away from helping her was being manipulated with, but he knew deep down, despite whatever bond was put upon them, he wouldn't have done anything differently. She needed help and he was prepared to do that however he could, knowing who she was as a person. That wouldn't change ever.
Listening to the defeat in her voice was really getting to him. Even after hearing from her real father with all the positive things he had said, she still was doubting herself. Not that he could blame her. He still couldn't believe a single word of him being the right choice to protect Siobhan. Of all the other people in the world, it was him. The secluded drunk in the woods.
As her hands rested on his face, he decided it was time for a break from all this. Dominic pulled back from her and took out his phone and keys from his pocket before leaning forward and putting Siobhan over his shoulder, much to her surprise. He pulled open the door to the house and started around back towards the river. Much to his delight, the tubes Billie Mae and her family used were still there, tied up to the small dock on her property. Dominic placed her down into one of the two person rafts and dragged it out into the river as she squealed. He quickly grabbed another one along with the line they used to keep the rafts together while they went out on the water. As she began floating downstream, he jumped into the tube and started peddling towards her, tossing the line so they could keep next to each other.
Dominic laid on his back and looked over at her from an upside down point of view. "I think we need to get away for a bit," he said with a smirk. The river was fairly calm today and it was about an hour till they would get to the shore where they could jump out. He would bring Billie Mae's grandson out on the river when he would come over to work. They would take the tubes out and ride down before swimming for a bit and walking back up to the house while drying off in the summer sun. Though it was now autumn, they could at least enjoy the ride on the water and escape for a little while.
