It has been a while since he moved to Evermore. Over a year already if he kept count. Which also meant he hasn’t been home for over a year now. Last Christmas was a plan he had in his head but unfortunately, the last minute planning crashed his hopes and he ended up spending the eve with his boss. A weird story, he wasn’t sure anyone else would believe him even if he told them the truth. He got used to living here and his work was tiring but now with a new deal he struck with the COO of Everectronics, it was bound to be fruitful. He wouldn’t make a bad decision. With his eyes trained on his bow that was placed neatly in the vintage casing from inside the glass cabinet, he pursed his lips lightly before getting up from his seat and went over to the glass.

Retracing his finger as he loomed over it, the angel child unlocked the cabinet with a single flick. There, the beautifully intricate bow stood majestically alongside a quiver of about a dozen arrows arranged neatly. Sparing a few brief glances over to his mahogany desk that was filled with different colored files and documents scattering around, making a mess out of it, he hummed to himself while trying to tell that an hour out wouldn't hurt. It was a stent in his workaholic self, but even he needed a break sometimes. He's immortal sure, but he's not expandable, for sure. There was only so much a person could take, anyways. That includes the mental just as well as their physical was involved. Deciding against his own will on insisting to stay back and finish his work, Julian wrapped his fingers around the bow and placed it back as he closed the door to the cabinet before making his way out.

He didn't forget to grab his car keys and jacket, maybe a trip out to the cafe to get some coffee to jumpstart his day will make things better. Coffee always fixed things for him. It felt forever since he held the bow honestly and he probably should get back to his usual habits when he had the time to spare. It probably missed him as much as he did. A lot of things changed though. When he first came here, he had met Cornelia, his best friend from school and was reunited with Cora, who was also a good friend to him 5 years ago. Both females left him and he just so happened to find them both in the same city. It took awhile for Cora to gain his forgiveness but the Aspect of Darkness eventually won when Julian decided to give in. It wasn’t as if she had any choice to do a lot of things back then. She had a responsibility to uphold, after all. And there’s Cornelia, the person the Nephilim hasn’t seen for a very long while. He had wondered where she would be at but everytime he tried to contact her, it would go to the voicemail, if he was lucky.

He tried to trace her down but it didn’t work either. Honestly, he was worried about his friend who hasn’t been updating him with anything as of late. In the end, Julian went with the idea that perhaps Cor had skipped town once again. It would hardly be the first time, so he had to cover the disappointment. The sight of the city greeted him as he parked his car a few blocks away from the cafe. He was a regular there, always stopping by for a quick break when he could so the owner practically memorized his order. While he was leaning against the counter, waiting for his order to be done, he caught a familiar silhouette when he watched people crossing the street from the window. “Cor?” It really does look like her though. He knew he had to check, so he told the cashier to hold his coffee, telling her he’d be back soon, before taking off to chase down the figure that reminded him of his friend. Thankfully it wasn’t a busy street so he was able to cross with ease. Once he finally closed their distance, Julian tapped her shoulder, “Cor?”

Moving to Evermore wasn't as easy as Cornelia had thought it would be. Initially her idea was that being around the city where she lived before she '"died" would help uncover the memories buried deep inside her mind, but instead the constant stimuli had made it almost impossible for the angel-child to explore the city. But stubborn as she was, Cornelia had decided she would endure the pain if it meant getting all her memories back. People seemed to depend on her and she would hate to let them down.

Sebastian had told her to take things easy but if there was one thing she endured from her previous life, it was stubbornness. Luckily, he understood her need to find answers and although she'd often turn up at his doorstep with more questions than when she left, he would always welcome her back, albeit with a tinge of sarcasm and banter that she had grown used to.

As she walked along a thankfully unfamiliar street, her gaze scanning the many faces that passed by her, for once the female felt herself at ease, as if she could disappear into the crowd and no one would know. But then the picture of Jem and Clarissa floated in her mind and she realised she couldn't leave them behind; not again. She hugged her arms around herself as the wind picked up speed, her long beige overcoat barely keeping her warm when purple-tinted hues fell on a coffee shop calling out to her like a siren call.

That was when she felt a tap on her shoulder and instinctively the brunette whipped around to see who it was. A gasp left her lips as soon as her gaze fell on the male, a soft smile turning up the corners of her lips, "Julian!" She exclaimed, a flash of memories crossing her mind, though she didn't need them to take over, somehow the angel-child already remembered her best friend from school. But just because she didn't need the memories didn't mean they didn't flood her all at once and Cornelia found the dull ache in her head rising as she rubbed at her temples slightly, "Sorry I-" She tried to wave away the pain and focus on her friend, the smile never faltering from her lips before she pulled him into an embrace, though it was a clever ploy to quickly compose herself and not let him see her wincing.

"How are you?" Cornelia asked as she pulled back, though she was expecting more questions from him....perhaps ones surrounding how she was alive in the first place - that was the question most people asked her but one she didn't exactly have a direct answer for.

Going about his day like he normally does whenever he met his past acquaintances had been a routine Julian consistently kept himself at. The same thing happened with Cora sometime ago and he had turned a blind eye and deaf ear as if he didn't know who that person was. Eventually, she persisted and he was left with no other choice but to acknowledge her presence. This time is a bit different though, Cornelia was someone he thought to have disappeared. Quite literally. Now here she was again, standing so near him, as if nothing had changed. Except things have changed, he couldn't pinpoint the exact reason but something about the angel child before him felt… different. And he wasn't mistaken, the woman he had 'mistaken as his childhood best friend was actually his childhood best friend. She's here. In the flesh.

Before he could utter another word, he saw the look of pain flashed across her hues as she staggered behind a bit, making the dark haired male worried for a moment there. "Are you okay? You don't look too well…" she didn't look pale in terms of physical appearance but Julian couldn't avoid the questions bombarding his mind and the vibe she radiated. The hug felt nostalgic, the warmth she transferred to him was welcoming, as if the female had embraced him after inviting him into her own doors. "How am I? You know that's the question I should be asking you most of all" he chuckled silently and pushed his hands into his pockets, where had she been this entire time? "But to answer your question, I'm doing fine. I actually got myself a girlfriend recently."

Given how long he had been single ever since the death of his fiancee, that's actually big news for the nephilim."How long has it been since we last saw each other… where were you? Where did you go? No, before you answer any of that, what were you even doing?" He paused briefly and placed a reassuring hold on her shoulder, sparing her a gentle smile, "I'm glad you're back… I missed you, Cor. Should… should we go someplace else? Somewhere more comfortable to sit down and talk?"
