Rolling over to her side to block the bright rays of sun creeping through her bedroom window, the Nephilim blinked a few times. Another morning waking up alone, meant another day closer to getting her strength back. Svet was never one to get attached, and Dom had been the only exception until a certain Valkyr creeped into her life. She was sure that in no time though, she'd be fine .. she was sleeping alone when she had met him, so it didn't change nothing to go back to that routine. She supposed instead of constantly walking around crying, that she could look at the good that'd came from knowing him. For a short time in her life, she had known something normal; something safe. That was nothing to complain about with how Svetlana lived. A prisoner to her own self.

Sighing, she shoved the covers away from her athletic frame and crawled out of bed. She hadn't been sleeping well, so the girl staring back at her as she stood in front of her tall stand up mirror, was one she didn't recognize. After slipping into some sweats and a tank top, Svetlana walked lazily into the kitchen; grimacing as she opened an empty refrigerator. She wasn't much of a shopper, that would have meant going into a public place where no one would have stepped up to her her had she been attacked, but she also couldn't starve, so today's plans were just that; to go and buy a few things needed for her place.

After slipping into her converse, the Nephilim walked out, happily greeting the sun as it shone down on her. Most days, Svet walked every where she went, not being one to waste gas if she didn't have to, but with the distance of the grocery store, she figured taking the car was necessary. After climbing in and adjusting her mirror; Svet started the car and backed out before turning in the road and heading out into the city. She hadn't been shopping in ages, maybe once since she'd been here, so it was still partially new to someone that lived their life in hiding. The ride over was short, and while collecting her thoughts, she decided to plug her phone into the usb port of her stereo system, it was one of the things she'd spent a fortune on, she loved the way the bass hit when it was just at the right volume.

Svet didn't spend long grabbing things she liked to eat, along with a few hyigene products and cleaning supplies. After paying at the checkout, the Nephilim made her way back out to her car, loading everything into her back seat neatly before getting in and driving back out into the city. With nothing else to do, after dropping her groceries off at home, she decided she'd go out for a drink, and hopefully find someone to mingle with, which was completely new and out of character for her, but fuck it right? You only live once, and if you were a Russian Nephilim with the last name Vasilyev, your life expectency wasn't a long one;; it could have been any day now that the rogues found and ended her. She had to make due with the days she had left.

Pulling off at Sinister of Sounds; Svetlana grinned from ear to ear. This place was her baby. It was just too bad Dom wasn't here to join her. She missed the Therian greatly, and in due time, she needed to see him and get back to work at the club with him. Both of them had taken a break though, they sorta had to while being on the rogues radar's. The Nephilim was ready to step inside until hearing the rucous behind the club. She could have sworn she'd even heard someone desperately trying to get away from a group of people.

Deciding to go take a peek, her ears hadn't betrayed her. Cornered by more than a few people, stood someone who seemed a little more helpless than them. If only she had known what she was getting herself into, that they weren't people at all, no they were a bunch of starved Valkyr's targeting a human who'd simply just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Deciding she shouldn't just run into certain danger; Svetlana decided to use her abilities from the corner of the building where they couldn't see her, maybe they could sense her but if this guy really was in trouble, then she could buy him some time before she came up with a better plan than just running right into what may have been the end for both of them against a group of Valkyr' . Her eyes raged a bright purple as she focused on one of them, her focus led her into a dark place; she manipulated his mind to make him think he was suffocating, with just her mind, sucking his oxygen right out of his lungs.

When she watched him grab and squeeze at his throat, the Nephilim smirked. She waited, making sure the other reacted to what was happening to him before she'd run over to help the human. She glared at him, hoping he'd see her, there was no way to call out to him, all she could hope for was him having his wits about him.

Bash found his job greatly satisfying.  He found that he had a knack for it. Attention to detail came naturally to the young man. Everywhere he went Bash followed his instincts, remembering all his previous experiences.  He walked the street of Evermore with all his senses on high alert.  Long pass were the days when he thought only humans roamed the Earth.

Today he was given an assignment; to visit a local bar where reports of ‘strange happenings had occurred within the past three days.  The Organization took care of supernatural happenings in Evermore.  Normally Bash wouldn’t be doing this type of work.  He was in charge of recruitment for The Organization, but once in a while Bash was sent out to investigate the complaint. He was only there to watch and observe, not to get involved.

Bash had been around bars long enough to know there were "regulars" that had their favorite watering hole.  Bash knew that from the moment he went through those doors, he needed to have all his senses on high alert.  He was taking the lay of the land when a female voice greeted him.  Turning to give her his attention Bash saw the well-practiced smile of an experienced bartender with a hint of early ‘happy time syndrome.’  She looked like she was in an eternal sauced state. Working at a bar, Bash was not too surprised.  Maybe if he chat her up she could tell him a thing or two about what had been happening here.  As he weighed in his possibilities the bartender asked “See anything you like?”

When he saw her smile turn into something more genuine he offered one of his own award winning crooked half smiles.  That look had opened many doors for him, something that served him well in his line of work. "Anything you have on tap is fine with me."  He said in answer to her question.  Turning around he inspected his surroundings and began doing his regular analysis of the place.

It was four pm. There were only five people in here this early in the afternoon. Outside, there were 2 vehicles.  The female at the table near the entrance was having a rough time, the bags under her eyes meant lack of sleep, and her worn out shoes could be indicative of financial troubles. The customer at the bar alongside him was a regular.  His skin had a sickly yellowed tone; a sign that he was in the advanced stages of cirrhosis of the liver an alcoholic’s slow and painful death.   The other customer that sat behind Bash was not easy to observe since the guy’s back was turned and hunched over.  Bash remembered seeing a small tablet or phone on top of the table where the stranger sat, but he wasn’t sure.  Looking at the mirror in front of him, Bash saw that the man behind him had given a discrete look at the new comer, but had gone back to whatever it was he was doing.

His brow furrowed when Bash remembered that he had seen two cars in the parking lot, but there were three customers plus himself inside the bar.  One car probably belonged to the bartender, the second car was his.  Had the other three customers just walked in?  Running his fingers through his chin remembering what the complaint hadn’t mentioned  anything about the lack of cars in the parking lot.

The waitress came back with a cold one. Bash leaned over  and asked her in a whisper "so what’s up with the dude on the table over there."  He had said it very softly while keeping an eye on the mirror, where the unknown man had just lifted his head and locked eyes with Bash *Bingo* Bash mused.  In a blink of an eye the male had traveled the twenty feet distance from his table to the bar, picked Sebastian by the collar and lifted him a couple of feet above the floor.

"In a menacing tone of voice while his eyes turned scarlet red, the stranger uttered "for a cop you aren’t that bright. What you asking her when you can come and ask me." Bash sighed used his blinding device which emitted a bright light that rendered any blood sucker temporary effect.  This made the blood sucker loose his grip on Bash, dropping him.

Sebastian knew this would happen so he didn’t stumble instead he backed away.  "You better think before you speak." Bash warned.  Too late he noticed from his peripheral vision two more blood suckers about to flank him.  He ducked as both collided onto each other.

Not wanting to cause any damage inside the bar, Bash sprinted through the kitchen onto the back door and into an ally.  There, the three vamps corralled the human.  With a charming smile, Bash put his hands up "Aww come on guys you don’t want to do this, trust me."

Then everything went to shits, two held him while the third prepared to do something not nice, but suddenly the guy began to gasp.  Which was funny because he didn’t know that vamps could breathe.  Sebastian wasn’t going to let this prime opportunity go to waste.  As soon as he was let go, he ran.  He ran by a gorgeous woman with purple eyes.  He gave her a wink and kept running.  He had his bike on the other side of the street.  He got on it and sped away.  Yeah, that bar had a vermin infestation alright.

Svetlana threw her hands up in an are-you-kidding-me type of gesture when the so called victim to those Valkyr's, sped past her on his bike, flashing her a wink. "Fucking asshole!" she yelled after him, and scanned her own surroundings before letting her white feathery wings unfold from their scars. Svetlana sprinted up into the sky, and decided to fly just above his head, but high enough that he couldn't have saw her unless he looked, and that would have caused him to wreck. But, she knew this city was full of reckless people, who didn't care.

When the human parked his bike, Svetlana flew down, landing just in front of him before he could even so much as get off the bike. "Is that how you thank people who help you?" she asked, glaring daggers at him. "I risked a lot back there. Me and Valkyr's haven't had the best of luck with each other" she stated, and chuckled at how big of an understatement that truly was. "What's your name?" she then asked bluntly, and walked closer to him, giving his chest a rough shove. "You left me there to die!" she shouted at him before withdrawing her hands, and letting them fall to her sides. "What would you have done if those Valkyr's had decided to gang up with one another and killed me?" she asked, shaking her head, unamused by how that had went.

"Why were they trying to hurt you anyways?" she then asked, seemingly full of questions. Svet was a naturally paranoid type of chick. So, the questions weren't anything out of the unusual for her. In her case, there was no such thing as 'a perfect stranger' in fact, Svetlana was sure that everyone was out to get her in some way or another. That was just her paranoia causing her life to be hellacious though. She knew deep down, not everyone was out to get her.

"Don't plan to get away from me so easily this time" she then said, flashing him a smirk, and decided she'd stay right here until he answered her questions, at the very least. Svetlana wasn't blind either, the male before her was nice to look at. So this wouldn't be such a bad day afterall.

That had been a close one.  Bash was only suppose to observe and report, not to get involved.  It had gotten a bit dicey back there but thanks to his quick wit he had been able to get away.  He needed to get out of there and report back to the Organization that there were some blood suckers out for no good.  He would leave out the little incident in the alley, no point getting yelled at again for getting himself in harms way.  It wasn’t his fault if thugs just loved to beat him up? Right?  He was very pleased with himself coming out of this altercation with nothing more that a little ruff up.

His bike was his best weapon.  Her baby could glide through the roads, hug curves like a lover and start up on the first try.  Bash kept his Honda Black hawk in tip top shape so when an angel landed right in front of him he was surprised.  He had seen one of them before, so he knew they had purple eyes.  As she held onto the steering wheel of his bike, Bash wasn’t really listening to her.  He wanted to try his new prototype.  He has modified the orbs that neutralize power for a while to attach themselves to the special energy frequency supers have.  He had done some adjustment but was not sure how they would work or if they worked at all.

Very discreetly, as she continued to say some angry words, Bash took the orbs out gathering her hands together like they were handcuffs.  His eyes opened wide as he began to laugh “They work!  Hehe”  Once she was neutralized, Bash didn’t know how long they would hold, maybe a few seconds? Minutes?  There was no telling, they were just a prototype, he hadn’t even gotten permission to use them, but how else would he know if they worked?  Nephilim aren’t mean, right?  This one however looked pissed big time.

”Okay, calm down woman, what do you mean I left you there to die?  Who asked for your help?  I was just having a conversation with those nice men.  It was all a misunderstanding.”  He flashed her a smile, but she wasn’t happy, in fact she was getting more irritated by the second.

”Where you even in any real danger?  I mean you could’ve just opened your wings and fly?  You know, if you wanted my phone number I could’ve just given it to you if you asked nicely?”  He backed up his bike.  Not wanting to stay any longer.  “Those will disintegrate in a little while.  You take care now, wouldn’t want to see that pretty face all angry again.  Keep making that frown and your face will stay that way.  That’s what my ma’ used to say.  Then the orbs snapped and broke...yikes.

Svetlana could have sworn her blood was boiling as he smiled at her. She wasn't sure if this was the reaction all people gave, or if this guy was just being a huge asshat. She knew though, when he tried some insanely creepy device on her, that he was just trying to get under her skin. "What are you doing?!" she yelled at him. If she could have wrapped her hands around his neck just then, she was sure she would have strangled him.. just a little bit. He had used the device to neutralize her, which really pissed her off, especially after he whipped away from the scene she thought she'd saved him from.

"Don't tell me to calm down, jerk. You looked like you were about to have your ass eaten by a bunch of Valkyr's if you ask me .. a misunderstanding? I think not" she said, amused by the way he seemed to find humor in her anger. "And as if speeding away, leaving a girl who's being hunted by those maniac's there alone with them wasn't bad enough, you wanna use your little human device on me, just to see if it works?!" she asked, well, more so shouted at him. "And, you didnt ask for my help, you're right.. perhaps it was personal for me.. I just rather not see anymore rogues hurt anymore innocents out here." she expressed, using her hands to wave around, making small gestures as her Russian voice carried off into a small rant.

"Pretty sure I was. Wings or no wings, flying away from danger isn't always an option. I'm the last Vasilyev.. the last Russian Nephilim who ended people like them years ago.. if they want me dead.. my wings aren't gonna do fuck all" she hissed, but the moment he decided to play the number card on her, Svetlana smirked. Wow this guy was amusing. Before she could say much more though, he was already backing away. Laughing, Svetlana shook her head "Wait.." she tried calling out, but he was out of sight, and when the orbs broke, she could use her wings again, which she did so, to hover just above him, only this time, she wasn't trying to beat him to a pulp. He apparently had things up his sleeve she didn't wanna test again, and well, she seemingly found herself to be a sucker for how he had carried himself with her.

A guy like him .. sure that was the type of guy Svetlana would see as attractive and swoon over. God what was wrong with her mind? He had just literally left her in a scene full of Valkyr's after she tried saving him, and then used a device to render her supernatural side useless before backing away, and fleeing from her site again. Yet here she was.. right over top of him again. "You're a hard person to keep up with" she shouted down at him, before swooping low enough to push him off his bike. Svet had made sure she wasn't rough enough to mess his bike up, and that she didn't hurt him while doing all of this. But, as they both hit the ground, the Nephilim smirked down at him, "consider this me playing nice" she stated, before rolling off of him, and walking over to pick his

bike up, before sitting on it."This is a real beauty.. come show me how fast she goes" the Nephilim looked over to him, straddled on his bike with a challenging smirk on her face. Svetlana had never really lived before, and she supposed this guy was making her smile even if he was cocky, arrogant and even used a device of his on her .. but the simple fact that she found herself amused around him, made it impossible for her to not wanna keep playing at this with him. If it turned out to be a game of cat and mouse, so be it. She had nothing better to do than fear for her life. "Are you always so um.. charming towards the opposite sex?" she then asked jokingly, but she kinda wanted to know all the same.

And, it would be a bonus to persuade him to go have lunch with her, or whatever else he had in mind. Perhaps he could show off some more of those damned devices of his. She just knew he had more.

As soon as the angel fell on top of him, Bash grinned blowing her a kiss before she abruptly left him cold in the ground.  She was a fun angel.  Sebastian thought of the Nephilim as stuck up and full of themselves.  This one has waited no time telling him how superior she was, just like all the other Nephilim’s that he had encountered, BUT, she had also been a good sport and played along.  She had also followed him and not zapped him with her super powers.  He had been hit by one of those wings once and it had hurt for days, so Bash was grateful she was having fun and not taking her frustrations out on a puny human.

Had she been flirting?  Or was she just paying a cat and mouse game?  Either way, Bash was having fun.  He never passed an opportunity for fun.  He was a young human male that didn't mind enjoying life.  He loved his life, his job and everything around it.  Standing up, he dusted himself off, flexing his muscles as he straightens out his shirt and glasses.  Sebastian wasn't the most handsome guy in Evermore, but what he lacked in looks he made up with charm.  His momma had taught him all he needed to know about the fairer sex.  Before she passed away, she had bestowed this pearl of female wisdom "Remember Bash, a woman is always right, even when she is wrong, she is still right.  If you live by this rule, you will do just fine."  So far, the young male had not had the opportunity to try out his mother's pearl of wisdom, but he had a feeling that this sexy minx would test him in every way possible.  Such a conundrum fascinated his intellectual mind and tickled his funny bone all at the same time.

With a boyish grin Sebastian jumped behind her, snuggled close to her, and placed his chin on her left shoulder whispering some instruction as he took her hand gently placing them on opposite sides of the steering.  “You see this button?”  He said as he guided her slender right hand to the right place. “Now don’t press….” Bash was unable to finish his sentence.  The angel had pressed the button and the bike had taken off in haste.  He saw her smiling as the wind brushed the hair out of her face.  She was intently looking at the road, expertly maneuvering traffic and hugging each corner like a long lost lover. This angel knew how to handle a bike.  The little stick was playing with him…well two could play this game.

“Are you always this forward?”  He countered.  “Are you kidnapping me?”  He said half laughing trying to sound panicked but failing.  “Listen missy, I am a poor guy.  Have no money, no rich relatives, not even a house in the Hampton’s so unless you plan on using my body for your pleasure I am afraid I am not a good catch.”  By the way she was driving this little angel had a destination in mind.  He wondered if it was her place.  But when he saw they remained in the human sector, Bash knew she had some other nefarious intentions in mind.

He held her close to him, his arms wrapped around her waist, inhaling her sweet scent while her hair played with his face.  "Hmmm I think someone's belly is hungry."  Captain obvious said as her tummy and his rumbled at the same time. "We should eat."  Is all he said on her ear, nibbling her earlobe before he inhaled one last time.  He probably was going to get slapped when her hands got freed but for now, Bash was enjoying this little freedom he had while it lasted.

Svetlana gave him an eye roll, but simply couldn't shake off that boyish grin of his. It fit his features well. And, she had a feeling that he probably felt less gorgeous than some of the model-looking men in this city. But, to Svetlana, he was as attractive as any other she'd seen. Svet didn't care about someones appearance anyways, that's not what spun her. Svet enjoyed meaningful conversations, personality, someone who knew how to joke and play around, and most of all, someone who never took anything for granted. She'd been through enough to know that life was short. And while Svetlana was immortal, a being who couldn't die as easily, she still lied to remember how short life had been for her father, a being just like her.

Svet had to push those thoughts aside in order to avoid showing this guy how damaged she really felt right now. Broken at best. Even though she looked happy, that was the last emotions she was familiar with. Besides, she had plenty to be distracted with right here in the present, especially with him jumping behind her, giving the Nephilim goosebumps when he put his chin on her shoulder, whispering to close to her ear for her to restrain showing how much she enjoyed it. She couldn't restrain the laughter that escaped her lips when the two of them had taken off. She did love to be the perfect rebel. When someone said no, that was music to her ears, and in other words, it meant yes for her. Svetlana hadn't gotten to live much, so she treasured this moment.

"So many questions" she smirked, "and yes, I am always this forward.. stick around, youll warm up to it" she said, as she looked over her shoulder to him. Svetlana frowned, but swiftly turned around now that they were parked, and referred back to the statement he'd said just before she turned off at a fast food joint. "Why would you say all of those things? You think you need a mansion to be a catch? or money.. or rich relatives?" she asked, laughing, amused by it all. "I don't give a rats ass for people with money. Frankly they're too uptight and could use some harsh lessons in life. You're a catch with or without all that crap, but if that was an offer.. my place isn't far from here" the Nephilim winked, referring back to what he had said about using his body for pleasure.

Svetlana's eyes had suddenly slammed shut to the feeling of his teeth barely grazing her earlobe, in a way that might suggest that he was indeed hinting to wanting to do soemthing else. Climbing off the bike, Svet stood in front of him, pressing herself against the humman before whispering right back to him "Desert is on me" and backing up just enough to lock eyes with him. She probably meant that she'd be desert in general with the way he made her feel when he nibbled her ear lobe like that. And, she definitely didn't mind seeing if she could test the waters with him. "I can read straight through most people. You probably assumed i'd slap you off that bike for that cute little gesture huh?" she asked, shaking her head with a genuine grin adorning her features. "Its got me in a state of mind now however, let's hope you can handle me" she finished off, and averted her gaze back to the building "Yeah, I rarely have an apatite, but when I do spark one up, I can eat everything in sight" she chuckled, saying in other words she was ready to eat.

"I'm happy you joined me. I thought for a minute there, that I was gonna have to keep chasing you"

And there you have it...Sebastian's number one rule in life "nothing ventured, nothing gained." Often that motto had landed the young male in hot water.  He tended to attract trouble.  Here he was with a hot girl that didn't mind "playing."  He had never met one of those.  Bash usually got slapped or worse.  The police would get involved, still he didn't learn.  Bash couldn't help himself.  He was a young male full of life, he liked girls... the reasoning justified the means according to his logic.

He looked at her not backing up as she approached him, still waiting for that slap across his face.  Which turned him on more than anything, attention was attention as far as he was concerned.  "So what you're saying is that you could eat?"  Bash told her as he moved his hands to her hips "what a coincidence...I eat too.  We have that in common.  I wonder what else we have in common."

His eyes changed from pensive to an alarming look.  "Hang on.  Pay day is in two days, I may not have enough money to pay for your banquet my princess."  He got out his wallet.  Bash was so excited.  He had been waiting to use this trick on someone and now was it.  As he opened his wallet moths flew out.  It was all an illusion, they were just paper cut outs made to spring out.

Grinning at her he said in an alarming tone of voice "It is as I feared my princess I am as poor as a church mouse.  Maybe if we go to the back and beg for scraps we can get something to eat?"  He winked at her and waited for her reaction.  He had done this once with a girl.  She had gotten so offended that she left him standing there without a word.  He had money, always prepared was the boy-scout way but he was inquisitive of people's reactions to uncomfortable situations.  So far this angel was acing all of them.  Major turn on for him.  *The young was night* he thought to himself then realizing it was the other way around ..the night was young Bash ginned some more.

The place they had ended up in was an all you can eat buffet style, which made Sebastian more intrigued.  Usually girls ordered rabbit food and took most of it home.  Fake.  He had yet to meet a girl that could out eat him.  His mum used to say that Bash had a hollow leg since he ate a lot but gained no weight.  Good genes, his father had said.  What ever it was, he loved food.  "be warned Imma a big time foodie."

His hands had finally let go of her, giving her the chance to run.  Would she be brave enough for a night of fun and pranks?  Time would tell.

Svetlana looked down to  his hands, which now rested on her hips, before she found herself looking back into his eyes. While her heart thumped against her chest, and her body seemingly drew closer to his, she did all that she could to fight it. She was young at heart, and still full of life, considering she had never really lived yet. So, the fact that this male before her, enjoyed a little danger, with a little passion, made him one of the most intriguing people she'd ran across yet. It was as though he wanted her to slap him. "Seems like you're asking for something a little rougher" she smirked, and tilted her head, eyeing his neck, then his torso. Shit. She was truly in trouble here. She wanted him, even though she knew she shouldn't. "You wanna find out?. I'm sure there's plenty more we have in common" she asked, a dangerous hint to her tone, as her eyes lit up with a certain playful hunger.

She wasn't sure what he was up to when he fished his wallet out of his pants pocket, but after moths flew out of, she jumped back, and nearly fell on her ass. That was it. If he wanted a slap, he earned one. Svet's hand made contact with his chest, giving him arough enough shove for it to have felt like a slap. "God! YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE! ughh!" she yelled out in frustration, "How did you do that?" she asked, finally letting a soft chuckle escape her lips, realizing he was still holding her when he let go, which made her blink before looking back into his eyes. "Are you always like this?" she asked,  and tried her damndest to search deep within, for a reason as to why she hadn't actually ran when he let go of her. "Is that right? Because if you think you're a big time foodie, you're about to be put to shame." she nodded, Svet loved food also. She'd often been stared at out in public when she'd order a four course meal for one, and even after she cleared all her plates, she went back for seconds, and a heaping pile of desert.

"What other tricks you got up your sleeve youngblood?" she asked teasingly, assuming he was pretty young, but in comparison, he had to be. Nephilim's were always a lot older than they looked. "Whatever you got, you can show me at the table, let's go inside. People are staring, and i'm a paranoid freak in public" she admitted. Realizing she may of been putting his life in danger, just for the simple fact he was with her right now. The rogues still wanted her head on a silver platter, and that would never change, but knowing it would never change was the very reason Svet had started living a little. Now was no different. She was having fun for once, without looking over her shoulder every five seconds.

Finally as she headed inside, tugging his arm, to make sure he came in as well, Svetlana scanned their surroundings for a good seat. She enjoyed privacy, and well, she needed it with her plan of getting to know him. "How about there?" she asked, pointing to the back booth that sat off in an isolated corner, that only had dimly lit lights above it, and a fish tank in the wall.  Sadly, her head was still spinning from the psychical contact they'd already had. She wasn't sure what to even make of it right now, she just knew he had really gotten under her skin. Honestly she was waiting on him to pull another prank on her. She had a feeling this was about to be a long night. "After we eat, I have another idea" she smirked, wanting to explore her wild side just a little.
