It seemed like it had only been yesterday when Svetlana last saw Dom. But honestly, the last time she seen him, was a time she'd never be able to get out of her mind. Svet had done so much wrong, that she had simply found it easier to just run away this time. The one thing she felt she'd done that was worse than anything else,  was that she had psychically hurt the one man who'd sacrificed so much to keep her safe. Even if Svet hadn't been in control of herself that night, she could never just forgive herself and forget it. The Russian Angel bounced around from one motel to another, never giving her real name each time she'd check in,and always paid with cash to avoid leaving a paper trail.

Living out of a motel became easy the night Thaddeus took her in, even if his motel was a haunted one. And, for the short time she had stayed with the Valkyr, Svetlana got a sense of what feeling weightless felt like. Even though she hadn't gotten to know him as well as she wished she could have, there was something about the man that just made Svet breathe easier. It was too bad he'd up and gone. But,who hadn't? Everyone Svet cared for or loved had always gotten hurt in one way or another.

Today was her first time back in this part of the city. The Russian Angel had actually taken a train so far from here, that she may aswell have been gone from Evermore completely. She'd caused so much grief for those who had stepped in to help her, including Eirik, that she just needed to be far enough away. But.. she couldn't lie.. even with all it's dangers, Svet had missed being here. Her eyes lit up a bright purple, and for a brief second, she eyed the bouncer. It was just how the Nephilim identified herself to other supernatural's, or fellow Nephilim's. The bouncer at Sinister Sounds happened to be a new Therian.. since they'd lost almost an entire staff of them the last night Svet had seen Dom. It made her frown slightly, because in her heart, she couldn't let anyone replace those they had lost. But, she was happy to see that the club was still just as busy as it had been when she left. In fact, something seemed way different.. a little less... controlled. For lack of better words.

Getting past the new bouncer had been a cake walk, and Svet walked inside, passing crowds of younger people enjoying themselves, with a confidence she'd never really carried before. Maybe it was knowing that she co-owned a place as amazing as this. But, that confidence would soon be slapped away by the new manager. Svetlana followed her usual routine upon arriving to the club. First, she walked upstairs, tothe very spot she and Dom stood the night they had their grand opening.. the night she had Incubus do a special shout out from herself, to the best man in the world. She frowned however, quickly dismissing that pleasant moment when Dom was no where to be seen. Quickly enough, Svet regathered her composure and figured he'd be in soon enough. After ordering herself a drink, Svet noticed a male she'd never seen before, dressed pretty casual as if he ran this place. Being herself, Svetlana whistled at the male, quickly drawing his attention and questioning him. After asking who he was, the male responded rather rudely.

"Oh this will be fun"  she muttered in a low tone of voice. "So.. you're the manager huh? Nice place to work isn't it?" she asked, with a devilish grin on her face. For a moment, he just stood there, arms folded, and dumb founded. Maybe speechless. Who knew? Either way,she could see his ears literally turning red. "I won't ask again for an ID miss. Even if you are who you say you are, It's still my job to make sure no one comes in that shouldn't" okay..maybe that was a good thing, perhaps that was Dom's doing after the attack in this very club,  which made her appreciate how things were running even in her absence. But still. This man wasn't getting no ID. "I don't have my ID onme. I figured with ya know..the small little fact that I co-own this place, I didn't think i'd need an ID HERE of all places."

Did people really make these things up? The manager was infuriated enough to storm away and into what she assumed was his very own office, not having recognized the room he'd went into;. But either way, Svetlana sat down and sipped her drink while she waited for this arrogant manager to try to throw her out of here, not even thinking that he'd went and called the very person she longed to see right now the most. She smiled as she waited, even though they had kept in touch over the phone, Svet hadn't seen Dom in a while now, and she couldn't help but wonder how he had been and what he had been up to. She hoped he'd open up to her finally. She knew Dom had went through a lot of shit outside of the things he'd been through with her, and she just hoped he knew she was here for him. Always.

While she waited for the manager, and sipped her drink, Svetlana slid mixed CD to the DJ. She'd had plenty of time on her hands while she was gone, to do absolutely nothing, which meant she'd found plenty of new songs to bring back to Sinister Sounds.

Dom emptied the umpteenth cup of whatever he'd been drinking at a bar downtown and it went down terribly. That was usually the signal that he should stop, but it didn't mean that he was going to. It was a normality at this point. At least a couple times a week the routine was always the same; he'd end up here getting fairly trashed in an effort to relieve himself of the stress and guilt that tended to eat away at his insides when he was sober with too much time on his hands to think. If he wasn't buried in Guard work that hopefully got him into a fight or his head buried deep inside of a gutted car, Dom was keeping himself occupied in things he shouldn't.

The feeling of his cell vibrating in his pocket made him try and focus as he read the text over a few times before finally letting it properly compute in his muddled brain. Tyrell, one of the newest managers he'd hired, was letting him know that someone claiming to be Svetlana was at Sinister. "Bullshit," he muttered, pocketing his phone and standing. He slid his arms into his leather jacket and whistled at the bartender who always held his keys for him while he drank so he wouldn't be stupid enough to leave while intoxicated. Tonight was that kinda stupid. Dom put his hand out to indicate that he wanted the keys, but Regina put a hand on her hip and gave him a look. It was all that was required to know he wasn't going to win this battle, so with a curse he turned and called for a cab as he waited outside.

When he arrived at Sinister, the club was fully packed despite the rain that was slowly falling. People were dancing and drinking, completely lost in their revelry while he was feeling miserable. The ride over had him stewing. Lana and him hadn't kept it touch much and that was not because he didn't want to. Dom had requested she at least check in with him every few days so he knew she was safe and okay after everything that had happened the last time they'd seen each other. He of all people understood the need to get away, so when she decided she needed to leave for a while, Dom wasn't going to stop her, but he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of her being alone and unprotected. The days stretched on more and more and he wasn't hearing from her like they'd agreed upon. The fact that somebody was at the club claiming to be Lana only made him think this was some kind of ploy to get Dominic to talk or find a way to get to her and he wasn't about to do either. It was going to be a good fight.

Tyrell was standing at the balcony and gave a signal to Dom as he looked up. He weaved his way through the crowds of people and finally made it to where the manager was standing, only to have his gaze immediately fall on Svetlana. The alcohol swimming inside him made Dom second guess what he was seeing at first, but there was no mistaking that it was her. He reached for her immediately and lifted her into a tight bear hug being completely surprised that it was in fact her. "Lala, what the hell?" Dominic put the small nephilim down and looked her over. She seemed to be okay. At least physically. His gaze turned to Tyrell giving him a short nod to indicate that it was in fact her and he would take it from here. "Come on."

Dom led the way towards their office which he hadn't been in for months. His hands slid over the pockets of his wet jacket and pants until he recalled that he in fact did not have his keys. "Right..." he said lowly before sighing and kicking in the door because patience while he was fairly drunk was not a thing. The place was just as they had left it which of course didn't surprise him. Something about being in the room again under different circumstances made him sigh as he put a hand through his damp hair and sit on his desk. His hues followed Lana as she walked inside, trying to gauge how she was really doing. "So, how are you? Where've you been?" Dom's hand reached for a bottle of rum that they'd used the night of the opening to celebrate in a toast which he now only wanted to keep the buzz going as he imagined this wasn't going to be the easiest of nights even though he was happy to see her.

Svetlana knew things would be okay once Dom got here. It was the waiting part that scared her. The 'keeping her temper in check until he got here' that scared her. But, the Russian Nephilim managed to bite her tongue just this once. Dom wouldn't have hired this man, if he hadn't been good enough for the job. If looks could have killed in the torturing moments Svet waited on Dom to show up, she definitely would have been dead. It was without a doubt, she and this manager would have to talk after this. It's just.. after not wanting to leave, and doing so anyways.. made it that much harder to come back to a place she co-owned, with someone she cared deeply for, just to have the new guy tell her she wasn't who she said she was.Being away may have been the safe idea, but it wasn't a happy experience. Svetlana had missed the only person who'd put his life on the line for her time and time again.. and often found herself ready to run back home just to be near him again. But, after what she'd done, after hurting him psychically, even if it wasn't her fault, and feeling like she costed so many lives to end, she couldn't bare to face him.

Svet wondered how she'd feel now. Would she still feel guilty around him?  As much as she was just ready to hug him, she couldn't help but think that not much had changed in her heart. She costed him a lot. And she knew that would still play in the back of her mind. As much as that was her reality with Dom, so was the fact that they had also had so many great moments together too, and those were the ones she was trying so desperately to hold onto right now.

It had only been moments later when Svet heard commotion just beyond where she stood currently. The same commotion that went on every time Dom entered the building. The women always went crazy, like teenage girls at a Justin Bieber concert. It was amusing, but she understood. Dom wasn't your average looking man. The biggest smile stretched the Nephilim's lips, revealing her pearly whites as he neared her, while her heart raced against her chest. The hug felt natural, as she softly leaned into it. And while she figured she would have had a hard time seeing him again after so long, she was thrilled. "It's really you!" she screeched happily. Svet usually didn't act like this, but she'd never acted any other way around Dom. So she guessed he was used to it. When he put her down and said come on, Svetlana happily followed. She was so ready to catch up and just see how he'd been since everything that'd went down between them and the Therian's he had lost to save her life.

Svetlana could see that something had changed with Dom. He wasn't himself. After jumping, startled slightly, with how he'd kicked in the door, the Nephilim knew he had been drinking. She frowned as she walked in behind him, but quickly erased that frown, not wanting to seem 'not okay'. Because clearly, he wasn't that okay himself. It was ironic that they were both watching each other in that moment, to see how the other was doing. But, it's what she had always loved about the friendship they had built up. They knew each other, even if neither of them said a word. After Dom sat on the desk, and now that they were under a light besides the colorful rave lights, Svet noticed he was soaking wet, and although he looked like the same man she'd last seen, something in his eyes said he was going through a whirlwind of shit. It made her stutter at first, when he asked how she'd been, where she had been etc. Because in the same instance, she wanted to know how he had been too.

"Ive been okay Alpha. You know me, running.." she grinned faintly, her humor still as dark as it'd been the day she left. "I don't know. I just thought it was the best for everyone.. and it really didn't work out that way, at least not for me. Being away hurt more than it did heal. But I also just didn't.. " she stopped, and gazed anywhere but at him. "I really didn't know how to even look at you after everything I caused you" and apparently, she still struggled with that, because she had to look away to even get through that sentence. "I'm glad i'm back though.. and as to the where .. I went somewhere that could have definitely ended badly for me." she wasn't sure if telling him that she went back to her old hometown, to visit the compound she'd been kept prisoner in for years was a good idea right now. "I just needed some closure .." but what she got was her heart growing darker. To have visited a place she'd been tortured in for years, watched her father die in,and killed a ton of rogue species by her own two hands..she definitely should have known better.

"Ill get more into that when Ive had a few drinks" she chuckled dryly. Svetlana's gaze narrowed, and became a little more serious. After moving over to sit next to him, having her legs hang off the desk, the Nephilim sighed softly. "How have you been? And don't lie.. I can tell somethings off" she frowned, hoping like hell it wasn't just her presence.

The clear lemon flavored rum went down not so smoothly as his body was still telling him to stop, but he defiantly kept protesting. He made a quick sour face and shook his head in dismissal with the motion of letting his brain know that this was only going to keep happening. It was going to learn to have to deal with it one way or the other and Dominic didn't really care at this point which way that would lead him. He told himself the only reason to not get completely trashed was to at least be coherent enough to be somewhat sound of mind now that Svet was back and he was truly interested in how she was doing.

Dom offered the bottle to his partner. She looked tired. He listened to her words, but was trying to hear what wasn't being obviously said. Closure. They had met at a time when he was living full single life and they had an instant connection that was purely physical. Frankly, it was all he wanted anyway at that time. He never really thought he'd be in a monogamous relationship again. Somehow during the hookups they did have, Dominic found she was a good friend to also confide in and soon they'd become closer than he expected, even when they decided that the hookups had suddenly become inconvenient for whatever various reasons at the time. When Lana finally opened up to him more with a confidence that he could be trusted, it was then he learned about her very troubling past.

'Closure' to him meant she had been visiting the worst parts of her life. The times in which she'd been through hell with her father wasn't something anyone should ever have to experience and sadly, he knew what it was like to see a parent die violently in front of you. Dominic didn't want to push for more answers though, especially when she said she would open up about it after a few hits of the bottle. He could wait for Lana to talk about it on her own. They were much the same in that way.

Dominic cleared his throat and sighed. Robotically, he would've said fine to her question as he did with everyone else, but she wasn't everyone else. "Shitty." Honesty and all. He was quiet for a moment before continuing as he tried to figure out where to even start. "The Ailwards are at a loss for the shit that's been happening in Evermore. You've been gone, so you probably don't even know, do you?" His hues looked across the room at no significant spot on the wall as he recalled all the strange events going on in the city to her. "The worst of it are people are going missing and some ending up dead and we can't find who's behind it. Every new clue is just another dead end and we're all just spinning."

His gaze then moved back to hers for the part that made him drink for more of a reason than anything else. "I broke up with Siobhan." Dom knew that would be more the shocker than anything else. "She was going through some really hard times and even though I tried and wanted to be there for her, I was constantly getting pulled away by the Ailwards. I couldn't be there for her when she needed me most and even when I was there, I couldn't figure out how to help. I was going on a lot of missions that pissed off a lot of the wrong people and I was afraid of bringing that back home. I didn't want her to get hurt. Again..." Dom reached for the bottle and took another chug of the rum, feeling the leap from tipsy to drunk incoming fast. "She's missing. No one can find her and.." The lump that formed in his throat was made up of all the guilt that had built up over the passing months that yielded no answers. His mind always assumed the worst and the fact that he hadn't gotten some kind of note if it had been retaliation was a sad glimmer of hope that she may be alive, but then what else? Siobhan always had the habit of finding trouble and maybe this time she wasn't able to get out of it. "I don't know. Drinking to forget and pass out hasn't been my speed for years, but being sober and awake means more time to think."

Music,

It obviously took Svetlana away from where ever she was sometimes. It was almost surreal to be back in Sinister Sounds. And, she wouldn't have entered properly without causing chaos. So she couldn't help but glance over to the male she'd threatened earlier, and flash him a sinister smirk, followed by the wink of her dark orb before turning her head, and gazing back to Dominic. The way the lights flashed in various colors, almost brought a smile to the Nephilim's face. She always reminisced about their huge opening night, and how Incubus had been their opening artist. But, the smile Dom had worn on his face that night, was clearly not there now. Back when Svetlana had first met the beastly man before her, it's one of the things she had felt drawn to.. the way he smiled, on the rare occasion when he did smile. That, and so many other things.

But,she figured now wasn't the time to reflect on the personal moments they'd shared with one another. She was just thankful, that after everything, they kept a bond that no one could break. And boy did many try. Especially the supernaturals who'd hunted her for so long. Svetlana would always feel guilty for what she felt she had caused Dom to lose, but she knew it meant more to him to keep her alive, as opposed to the Therian's they'd lost.

After a longing look exchanged from her to him, the Nephilim took a few more quick, but hefty swigs from the bottle. Svetlana sat the bottle within his reach, just beside of him as he started with the word 'shitty'. The Nephilim immediately frowned. She seen it all over hsi face, so she kind of knew before he'd even said it, but it still hurt to hear it. Svet cared about this man, and always would. If something was wrong with him, then something was wrong with her too. She listened intently, to what sounded like a true nightmare for himself, and the Ailwards. "I-.." she stuttered out. "I shouldn't have ran. I'm so sorry Alpha" she frowned, and dropped her gaze towards the floor. "But, It seems like I came back in enough time to have experienced things not being right in this city. I'm just glad you're okay, it scares meto think you're one of the ones who'll have to get out here and find answers, and likely even help put a stop to whatever/whoever is behind all the shady shit going on here" and it truly did shake her up. "I know you can take care of yourself. But please don't become one of the ones who end up missing" she sighed, because it was part of Dom's job she guessed.. the risk of it all.

"I hope you figure it out,and stop spinning soon" her frown had now pulled her smile completely away from her face. It just sucked to see someone she cared so much for, in a world of hell and danger. She definitely understood it, but hated seeing it for people she loved.

What the Therian said next, completely floored the Nephilim, and had even caused a lump to form in her own throat as she tried desperately to fight the tears. "Alpha.." she said in a cracked tone of voice, placing a hand on his shoulder, only squeezing enough to let him know she was there "I can't imagine what you're feeling.. going through" she started, "I'm so sorry.. Im such a shitty person for leaving. Not that staying would have done you any good, or fix any of what you went through, but I would have at least been here and you wouldn't have had to face it alone" the tears she had tried so hard to fight were already rushing down her cheeks after blinking her eyes closed for a moment, and taking a deep breath.

"When and where was the last time she was seen?" she asked curiously, ready to start her own search party, even if she did it alone. Siobhan was Dom's other half, quite literally, which meant that Svetlana cared about finding her even if she didn't know her as well as she would have liked to. "Look.. I don't know her on a personal level Alpha, but I do know she's tough. I believe she's okay out there, where she is" she added, and hesitated, but wrapped her arms around the well built Therian, barely able to fit both her arms around him, which almost made her chuckle. "And drinking yourself into a drunken frenzy, isn't the answer.. If I have to, Ill dump every bit of it out" she grinned jokingly, because she'd never do that to Dom. Even when he wasn't dealing with shit, he liked his booze. "What do you think happened?" she then asked, because she knew Dom and Sio were each others everything at one point. Running like she did, had left her out of the loop, and she felt washed away with guilt now. But, this made it an even better time to go ahead and drop an explanation..

Svetlana released Dom from the hug, and grabbed the ring hanging on her necklace.. "I have a lot to tell you" she gripped the ring like it meant more to her than life itself. "So first, I went back home" she swallowed harshly, and continued a little further. "I went to the place I was held captive in and tortured in for years until they finally lured my father there" her grip on the ring growing harder by the second. Had it not been a real ring, she would have crushed it. The force of her Nephilim grip however, would certainly cause it to bend if she didn't release it. She figured she'd allow him to catch up and process before speaking anymore on her own events. Plus, she was genuinely hurt for Dom, with Sio's disappearance, and even the breakup. She definitely wanted to hear more if he felt like talking anymore about it. From the looks of it though, it was the very thing that'd caused him to go into a drunken stupor.

Dom took one last, long, and healthy drink from the bottle before putting it down on the desk beside him. There. He was finally at a point where everything would soon be numb as his head buzzed with the copious amounts of liquor flowing through his blood. He stared at the floor as he recalled the phone call from Clarissa on the day she'd decided Siobhan had been gone for far too long. "I don't know," he answered Lana about her questions of Siobhan's last known whereabouts. "It's not like we were keeping in touch since the point was to put distance between us. No one can figure out where she went or with who." Dominic scoffed and then sighed. "Told myself to get as far away from her as I could to keep her safe only to have her go missing not long after.

He hung his head a bit as she tried to encourage him. Hope was something everyone else was so quick to give him, but happy endings didn't follow him in life. If news turned up that Siobhan was dead, he knew he wouldn't come back from that no matter what kind of hope anyone tried to give him for the future. Dominic wrapped an arm around her as she came in for a hug, squinting at her face from the swirl of alcohol to see the silent tears streaming down. "Hey, hey. Don't start that shit. I don't do well with women when they start crying as you well know." He squeezed her against him and cleared his throat in an effort to push passed the subject and the dark, sweeping thoughts that were rolling in.

The therian zeroed in on the ring around her neck that she was now clinging to instead. It was as he suspected; she'd gone to the worst parts of her past and now he was the one feeling guilty for not being there for her. He understood why Svetlana left the city after what happened those many months ago, but he never did want her out in the world alone. The promises made to them the night when they were almost killed were not ones he fully expected her enemy to keep. "Damn, Lala." It was all he could think to say for such a terrible experience it must've been to live through those nightmares again and alone on top of it. Perhaps it was something she did need to do by herself. That he could understand too even if he wanted to be there for her.

"What the hell happened here?!" Tyrell was now standing at the broken doorway looking aghast as the door was halfway off the hinges.

"Uh, don't worry about it. I'll fix it in the morning," Dominic said matter-of-factly as if doors tended to just come off the walls they were built into often. "Can you hold one of the cabs in the front for us?" He stood from the desk which immediately caused him to stumble forward and groan. "Yeah, I'm a really bad friend." His eyes closed and the world spun which he decided quickly was not something he preferred. Dominic put his arm out for Svetlana and pulled her against him. If he went home tonight, he had a feeling it would spiral him into a head space even worse. "I'm crashing on your couch tonight and in the morning you can tell me all about what happened when I'm in my right mind. Well, a better mind." His eyes went over to Tyrell who was still looking back and forth between the door and him confused and appalled and he looked right back at him with annoyance he couldn't quite control. "Any minute now, man." Dominic shuffled crookedly along with Svetlana as they followed their newly hired manager out which he had the feeling wouldn't be wanting to stay in the position much longer.
