Everybody has a story and Alaiza’s story begins as a tale of romance starring two young lovers named Carli Danford and Alexander Bellerose. With their beginning feeling less than ordinary, it seemed like fate pushed them together. While attempting to rob a Denmark bank that contained a fortune owned by a Russian mafia, Carli Danford was thrust into the arms of a handsome security guard, literally. As she had lowered herself down into the bank, she was surprised by the one and only Alexander Bellerose whom she had practically fallen on. Unknown to her at the time, he was also a con artist attempting to steal money from Izolda Romanoff, the leader of the Russian mafia.

After a heated conversation the two found out that they were both going for the same job and decided to join forces to ensure the fortune would be theirs. This specific bank was one of many that contained the Romanoff money and not long after they conquered four more banks across the world quickly running off to begin a life together. During their heists the two had fallen in love and had become very well known as a power couple within the con industry.

This was despised by Romanoff who soon chose to send an assassin to end them both. Luckily for the young lovers, they discovered this plot just in time and managed to escape to Centre-Val de Loire in France where the settled down and bought a vineyard. Danford & Bellerose spread like wildfire and in no time they were one of the most popular winemakers in the world.

A few years later Carli and Alexander married and renamed the vineyard Bellerose & Family. Not long after that the couple were blessed with the birth of a baby boy named Charles. This child threw the two into chaos as neither knew what they were meant to do but they decided it was best if they leave the con world behind. The first two years were messy, taking some time to settle into parenthood. They didn’t have much time then to prepare for the birth of their second child, Adrianna. She immediately captured the hearts of her parents and two year old brother. Three years after that Cameron was born, the first child to be born with blonde hair, greatly contrasting his mother and two older siblings. Adrianna and Charles instantly felt fiercely protective over the infant. The next two years were filled with the trio becoming incredibly close, Cameron beginning to show that he had a playful streak to his personality. One of his many tricks involved Alexander missing the birth of his next child, much to Carli’s dismay.

The fourth born, Alaiza, resembled both her father and Cameron as her blonde hair shined like the light. From the moment of her birth the family knew that she would be the essence of sugar, spice and everything nice. Over the next five years two more Bellerose children were born, Chase and Arianna. The 5 of them were trained in defence art as Carli and Alexander knew that their children would either be Phoenix or Nephilim and it was important that both species knew as much about themselves as possible.

Unlike the eldest siblings Charles and Adrianna, Alaiza wasn’t very close with Cameron and instead was closer to her younger sister Arianna. Cameron disliked the fact that Alaiza was always completely honest with her parents, something that often resulting in her telling them about Cameron’s pranks. Alaiza only wanted their approval as she was continuously told about how important being truthful was. This friction led to Cameron bringing in Chase as his little sidekick, the two enjoying pranking together and Alaiza spent her time watching over the youngest Arianna who was incredibly spoilt by the nannies. A lot of the time Alaiza would either go out to the paddocks and ride horses or simply sit in the library reading books. She was very much an “angel”. Their positions in the family were Charles and Adrianna acting like the responsible ones, Cameron and Chase as the pranksters, Arianna a rebel of sorts and Alaiza… the only one who could tame her little sister.

Her childhood was happy, growing up surrounded by love and the supernatural. Carli and Alexander often had friends drop by, knowledge of species like Shifters, Vampires, Dhampirs and Fae expanding their minds. It was Charles who discovered which species he was first, red lines trailed down his back and the family knew he followed in the footsteps of his father. After that Adrianna found thick white lines on her shoulder, instead following her mother’s genes. Eventually they had all knew what species they had inherited. Charles and Arianna were both Phoenixes; contrasting Adrianna, Cameron, Alaiza and Chase. No matter what however, Carli and Alexander taught the children to stick together and love one another as they would always be family and family was the only thing you could count on.

Alaiza would never have guessed that this one night, everything she knew would change. The past her parents tried so desperately to hide and protect their children from finally caught up with them. An Italian mafia hunted down the ex-con power couple and forced them into taking a job. Over the next few nights tension was clear within the family. Adrianna had withdrew into herself, Charles was acting sketchy and the two trouble makers had been acting out less. Noticing this, Alaiza spent more time with her younger sister Arianna who had been causing even more trouble lately. Alaiza was the only one who control her so her time was often consumed by the troubled teen.

A few days later Alaiza woke up to yelling from Charles and Adrianna. It turned out that her parents had never returned home that night and the two eldest Bellerose children had an idea of what was going on but they refused to give it away. This had become a common thing as of late so she didn’t bother to ask too many questions. They rest of them simply thought that their parents had gone on a sudden trip to check out some of their other vineyards and had forgotten to leave a note. It was a huge surprise when Adrianna and Charles had also disappeared. This is when Cameron stepped up and tried to keep the remaining three positive.

A few days later Adrianna and Charles finally returned, it was 3am when a loud banging was heard throughout the house. Cameron was the one to see them first. When Alaiza finally got out of her bed she was led to Charles’s bedroom where he lay unconscious on his bed with a sobbing Adrianna. It took a lot of effort to get what had happened out of Adrianna. Their parents had been murdered and Charles severely injured when he sought revenge. Unable to comprehend what had happened, the entire family fell to sorrow.

Adrianna completely cut herself off from the rest of her siblings, Cameron and Charles stopped with their pranks but still tried to keep smiles on everyone’s faces, Arianna almost fell into the darkness of the mafia world however it was Alaiza who kept her sane, she was her younger sister’s light during these dark times.

When Charles finally came out of his comatose state, it had been realised that he and Adrianna were now the legal guardians within the family of six. The two eldest Bellerose children had to begin making some serious decisions for the future and what it held in store for them. The next few days were a blur to Alaiza but she remembers one painful night where the entire family had been arguing about where they would go next but all of a sudden a searing pain exploded within her leading to the middle child completely blacking out. When she came to they all realised something massive had changed. The four Nephilim children Adrianna, Cameron, Alaiza and Chase now had wings and the two Phoenixes were able to manipulate the weather.

These new gifts were enough to give a small distraction from the devastation at hand and soon led to Adrianna and Charles deciding that the family needed to move away from France and travel the world. It seemed that everyone except Arianna agreed but with some incredible persuasion techniques, Alaiza was able to convince her sister that this was the best thing for them in the time being.

For a year and a half the family travelled all across the globe, never staying anywhere for too long but still enjoying the adventure. It was towards the end of their journey they found themselves in Spain. Alaiza especially loved Spain as it held so much culture and essence. One night out on the town, Alaiza ran into a small group of supernaturals who were also travelling around the world were incredibly friendly to her. One woman in particular, Cornelia Bradford, made her feel comfortable within their company. Cornelia was a Nephilim just like herself and told Alaiza stories of where they were all from, a city called Evermore. Evermore sounded like the perfect place for her family to settle down, a special abode for the supernatural.

In the following weeks Alaiza stayed in touch with Cornelia while continuing to travel with her family. She then decided she would drop hints and small information to her brother Cameron without him knowing it was her who decided Colorado should be their next travel destination. Cameron and Alaiza still had a tense relationship as he never much warmed to her presence so the only way she could convince him to go somewhere was by doing so anonymously. If she had asked him outright, he would have denied her request and she knew that Evermore could be home for the Bellerose family.

Sure enough, within a few months the family had journeyed to Evermore City in Colorado and decided to settle down. Alaiza was thankful to reconnect with Cornelia once again as she felt a connection with the Nephilim Ambassador, she knew she could trust her. Cornelia then introduced the rest of the family, specifically Charles and Arianna to Leona d’Fierro, a woman she recognised from Spain. Leona was the Ambassador of the Phoenix faction who was also welcoming to the Bellerose family.

At first the Bellerose’s were disheartened that they might not all be within the same faction but were guaranteed by both Leona and Cornelia that their family ties would be respected and they could stay together while still having connections to their separate communities. Evermore was finally going to be the home they had been searching so long for. It wasn’t long before the entire family settled into the life the city held for them. Cameron and Chase began pulling minor pranks again, Adriana and Charles were able to relax, Alaiza once again found her love of horses and with a fair amount of rebelling, Arianna slowly calmed down with the help of her older sister.

Alaiza finally felt happy and safe. Not long after she settled down into the community Cornelia asked her to become the assistant ambassador for the Nephilim faction as she knew she could trust Alaiza to keep the peace and stay loyal. The future was looking bright for the Bellerose family and they knew they could handle anything the world would now through at them so long as they were together.
