Alice Miller is nineteen years old, and has been living in Evermore City since she was born. When she was eight, her dad, a shifter, was killed by a human when outside the city. Her mother is a human. She has fuzzy memories of her dad. She remembers that he was always taking her places to do things, and that he smelled like a mix of spearmint and wood shavings. He had a brown leather jacket that he always wore, and he left it home the day he died. Alice often wears the jacket now, and has since he died. Her mother was devastated, but did an amazing job raising her, and made sure she had everything she needed.

She's not very fond of social interactions, such as parties and other things that involve being social. She's a huge nerd, she adores Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and loves to read. She plans on becoming a preschool teacher, she's excellent with them, and enjoys it. She writes creatively when she can, she's had less time since her first shift. A couple months after her eighteenth birthday, she got a burning pain on her right wrist, it lasted for a month, until a moon tattoo appeared on her wrist.

All was normal for another month, and then the nightmares happened. She dreamed of a snow leopard that walked on two legs, and had the face of a woman. They started out pleasant enough, but ended in the destruction of a village, the leopard's fur stained with blood as smoke swirled around, and screams were heard. The spell was performed two and a half weeks after her visions started. Her first shift happened in the forest, she had seen a Siamese cat earlier, and shifted into it. It was painful and she was terrified, but since then, she has progressed in shifting.
