BIOGRAPHY

The night loomed over, shrouding the small village of what would be known today as Johannesburg, there was nothing to light the barn across the road, only the moonlight shone over them. One day, Nathalia, sat under a big tree, staring up to the sky bathing with plenty of stars all around. It was the night where the moon shone the brightest, that's what she remembered when she suddenly witnessed a shooting star pass her gaze. Nathalia was there initially to pray for her only child's welfare, a daughter named Hanna, since she has been sickly from birth, 5 years ago. The sight of the shooting star bothered her, so she went tracking where the star was seen passing at, near a terrain a few miles from her place.

When she saw a female figure lying on the ground, covered by the dirt, she instantly knew she should not pry further into this. But Nathalia was generally, a generous and kind woman in her late twenties, she couldn't find it in her to leave and abandon the poor soul. So she didn't. Waking up from her slumber, or at least what she thought it was, Daria had no idea where she was at. Everything around her felt so foreign and new to her. For a while, she wondered if she was kidnapped since her right wrist was tied with a rope, not too tight but it wasn't loose either. It didn't take long for Nathalia to return after tending to the crops, and the moment she saw that the dark-haired female had awoken, she had rushed over to her side and apologized for the state she was in. As she loosened the ties and freed the Celestial from her bonds, Nathalia asked what was her name. Wait, name? Did she have one?

Now that she's asked to introduce herself to the kind person who saved her a few nights ago, Daria realized she knew nothing of her identity. Not even a name. Recognizing the look of conflict marring the female's face, Nathalia did not push her into thinking and assured her that perhaps, she had hit her head so hard and it caused her to have temporary amnesia. The redhead knew that Daria wasn't human, for she too, wasn't one. To identify another supernatural wasn't something new to her, though that doesn't mean the single mother knew who and what the girl she took in was. Upon finding out that she has been unconscious for a few days, Daria quickly thanked the other female for her generosity and promised to be on her way as soon as she could get back up to her feet. Unfortunately, she couldn't even stand up on her two feet until a few weeks had passed, due to the injury she suffered the night she crashed there.

Throughout the time, she remembered her name but nothing could answer the mystery regarding her species. Dariale Evin, that's her name. She glowed, that's what Nathalia knew and Daria couldn't explain since she also didn't know the reason for it. Nathalia took her in, telling the young female that she didn't have to leave if she had nowhere to go and that they are more than happy to receive an extra company, especially when Daria was good with toddlers such as Hanna and took care of the poor child while the mother was out working. The Celestial formed a bond with the sickly child, and she was loving her new home. Weeks become months, and soon it was already 2 years of living there. However, Daria felt lost with no sense of direction when she tried her best to figure out who she was. Sure she had a name, a loving adoptive family though they didn't have much, but that couldn't make up the emptiness she felt. Every night, before she goes to sleep, she would often stare at the sky from the windows and wonder if the stars would provide her with answers.

She started to seek for anything that could possibly be an answer for her. With Nathalia's help who she found out to be a Fae, the two began their search. For what seemed to be the longest time for her, the duo's endless search finally bore fruition. A Celestial, that's what they called people like her, fallen stars. It made sense that she actually did crash down on the night Nathalia was praying out in the open. The shooting star was her. Nothing was said regarding their history, as if the page was torn out, and she wasn't sure if it was kept away for safety reasons or the opposite. A part of her warned herself not to trudge on this path, to live her life as normally as possible with Nathalia and Hanna. But it was easier said than done. Daria couldn't stop thinking about it until Nathalia told her to go and find herself.

Her words meant so much and despite the tears being tears of sadness, the Fae told her losing an identity is a lot more painful and she couldn't possibly wish that upon the Celestial. Letting her go was hard since the attachment runs deep between the three of them, but Daria promised to return as soon as she discovers who she was. With a peck on the cheeks, the brunette bid her farewell to the pair.

Daria found herself traveling to Hungary, and started from the bottom to find more about the Celestials as a species. Her searching drew a better light each day and after spending months in the country, she came across a rumor regarding mysterious phenomenons occurring as of late, at one side of the village, albeit a rather quiet one. That was what led her to Visegrád, a small castle town in Pest County, Hungary. There were not many people who reside there and for a while, Daria felt discouraged due to the fact that no one would talk to her about the strange occurrences that happened recently. It was the same way she fell and she wished to find another of her kind, or more.

Days became weeks, the dark-haired Celestial almost gave up and was just about to leave until an elderly woman approached her. Apparently, Sofi, the elderly woman's name, was the one who witnessed the shooting star incident a few months ago and much like Nathalia, she took the liberty of caring for the Celestial who fell. Sofi was alarmed when she heard of Daria's search the first time she set foot in the small county, and tried her best to zip her lips and took an oath of silence in order to protect the star who ended up being a member of her household.

After she was sure that Daria is who she said she was, with a brief glance to identify the star to check her authenticity about being a Celestial, Sofi invited her to her home. Sofi, who she found out to be an Initia, told her that her daughter is very shy and timid, warning her beforehand that the other Celestial may not be so open around Daria. The Celestial who she knew to be Kira, was indeed very reserved, paired with striking optics and flaxen locks, she looks a lot younger than Daria in physical appearance wise. The two formed a friendship after Sofi had generously offered a place to stay for as long as she wishes if she could help Kira. For once in her life, Daria didn't feel so alone, every part of her was relieved to find Kira, someone else who was just like her; lost and confused, and above everything else, different.

And she did, she stayed there until a year became three, establishing a strong connection and attachment with the entire household, consisting of Sofi's two grandsons, Remi and Erik, and their sister, Andrea. Kira was her sister, that much they were all very sure of, considering how close the two duo were. If not biologically, they were definitely family from their origin alone. Despite being happy with learning more about their lore and history from the old books that once spoke about a fallen star, Daria missed her ward, Nathalia and Hanna very much. She wondered how they were doing and once confiding with Kira, the latter prompted her to go and visit them. Kira even promised to tag along so she would not feel lonely. After talking things with the family, the two accompanied by Remi, left Visegrád and head back to where Daria fell, almost 6 years ago.

Things were not what she expected. She was met with hostile looks from the neighbors when she enquired them about Nathalia, who she could not seem to locate even after scouring the entire place. Filled with confusion, the Celestial didn't know what to do. Remi came back with information regarding what happened to the single mother and her daughter. 2 years shortly after Daria left them, Hanna's condition worsened and Nathalia was desperate to save her daughter. The poor child contracted measles and passed after a few months of struggling to hold on to life. Her mother was in distraught from the sudden passing and closed every doors, shielding herself away from any neighbors, filling her days with dread. The once kind and compassionate woman fed on her fear and slowly the fear turned into hatred, creating a bitter woman who hated everything. She eventually killed herself after going off the rails.

Upon hearing the revelation of what happened to the poor souls, Daria blamed herself for not being there for Nathalia. She spent her nights crying herself to sleep while allowing her head to think of the worst, like how she could've been there for her, how she could have prevented her tragic demise, and the most important of all, how she could've came back right after discovering Kira, just like how she promised she would. Daria spent her years wandering halfway across the world searching for their Wayfinder, still filled with guilt because she saw herself as someone selfish who forgot her roots. Even with Kira and Remi's assurances, things were never the same again for the star. She no longer spoke enthusiastically as she once did and even Kira said she felt as if all light had dimmed from the other Celestial. Fortunately, they did find the person they sought out for; Ophelia Dreyvalian. Or rather, she found them.

The two followed the Wayfinder wherever she went, while remaining loyal and faithful. Despite the change of demeanor in Daria, she didn't allow it to change everything else. She became detached and slightly emotionless, but that soon changed after she found love in Remi, the person who's been with her throughout every obstacle and hurdle she faced in those years of running from the hunters. Pushing the thought of being together with the male due to the danger she would face for the rest of her life, it wasn't until he nearly got killed that Daria made it clear that he was not needed. Or at least, that's what she said. All she wanted was to protect him from harm's way, he didn't deserve to be put on the front lines whenever she landed herself in trouble. On one fateful night, the two argued and this time, there was no mending or exchanging apologies for Daria had made up her mind. The two of them parted ways, leaving only Kira with her.

Once again, Daria lost another part of her that Remi took with him when he left.

Her sadness that plagued her didn't last long when Ophelia came back with a promise of a new life. Isle of Skye, that's what they called it. A beautiful island located far from civilization, inhabited by dragons. But what caught her attention and interest was the promise of being able to live their life without the fear of being hunted down again. Daria trusted Ophelia, of course, she did, the younger star looked up to the Wayfinder ever since she came across the story of Emilia Dreyvalian. Like her ancestor, the raven-haired Wayfinder was just the same, in her own way, responsible, daring, and protective. Her compassion toward her people was what really melted Daria's heart. Knowing that someone is looking after them made her heart lurch in happiness. Their time in the island was filled with laughter and elation, everyone was nice and welcoming. Her cold exterior cracked and she gradually returned to the person she once was, only happier. Could this place possibly be her home?

Two years ahead of her stay in the island, she befriended the new Celestials that came to join their ever growing family, but that wasn't the only people she met. One person in particular; Remi. The flaxen haired male had joined the Ailward faction, working his way up to the guard ranks diligently. She was so engrossed with her sweet time in the island because she finally didn’t have to run away from hunters anymore, so much she didn’t even notice his presence within the guards residing in the same place. He held no ill feelings towards her and acted like he didn’t know her. As if he’s never seen her before his life.

Daria was relieved, but that didn’t mean she could forget her feelings as easily. The feelings she harbored for him was still deeply embedded inside her heart. No matter how many times she tried to rid him off her memory, nothing worked. Unlike the star, the male kept a rather professional front which made her wonder if he had forgotten about her altogether or if i was just him pretending. It wasn’t until Kira talked to him that she was able to find out the truth behind it. Kira told her that he had suffered an injury to his head while traveling, prior to joining the guards, as one of the Ailwards came across him and took pity on his state, left wandering about while not remembering his own home or family. The only thing he had was his name and his conviction towards the mistreatment placated on supernaturals and has had enough of it.

Being an Initia himself, it wasn’t easy to turn a blind eye. Everything was right back to square one, she got to know him and those feelings returned, and while Remi didn’t have any memories of it, it wasn't as hard to bring back a few triggering events that would jumpstart his head. Daria had everything she ever wanted, a happy family of her own consisting the Celestials and a stable relationship with Remi once again. But once again, obviously, the world had something against the fallen stars basking in their happiness. Well, at least that’s what Daria thought for her own case.

It was on Christmas Eve, Remi was on a mission and Daria was planning a surprise gift with Kira for him. When Christmas came, she was greeted with the news of his missing self. No one could track him down,  which sent the Celestial spiraling back into her depression hole. As if that news wasn't bad enough, she was met with the decision that would be her biggest mistake for ever thinking she could have a life there. It was so late at night when the doors were knocked by a few guards, and instead of being greeted with a smile or an apology, all she got was a frown and conflicted look. When she was being escorted away, she didn't know what was going on. Daria asked for Ophelia but got no answer or any response whatsoever.

The days she spent behind the steel bars of the cage? She counted. Her glow dimmed considerably as the days passed by, until she couldn't see her own no more. She wondered how long did she spend her days being locked up but it felt so long. Ophelia was gone, that's what she was told, but she refused to believe it. The Ophelia she knew was a lot more stronger than many thought she was. But it was hard to hold on to something when you're not even sure if you'll ever escape your captivity. Slowly, the twinkle of light she always had dancing in her hues fled her eyes and what's left was an empty shell; someone hollow and bitter. Staring into the moon that seemed to mock her every night, Daria waited for the day where Ophelia would come to their aid once again.

To her surprise, her wish came alight, when she saw movements in the dark, unlocking the doors to their cells. The Celestials rejoiced the moment they were released from their bonds and ties to the place that also held some of their happy memories. She felt terrible when she saw the state the island was in, for someone who spent a portion of her life there, filled with nothing by happiness, it wasn't easy to see people she knew being one of those who were fallen. Contrary to her own belief, Daria actually liked Isle of Skye, it was seen as a perfect place for them to start their lives anew. Unfortunately, that wish didn't last long for them. Daria was reunited with Kira and the two once again followed Ophelia without a doubt. She had nothing to go back to, all that's left from her personal life was Kira.

The trip to Evermore wasn't supported by her but she also wanted to settle down properly. They had ran around for so many years before, and Daria was tired of it. Little did she know, she was about to meet a lot more than just new adventures.
