In a cold night of January, a little child was born in Toronto. All those nine months they thought about that perfect little girl that grew up. By the end of the day they called me Eva, which means ‘ Strength’ as my parents always said. That’s how she was seen in her parents eyes. That’s how they wanted her to be having a beautiful life ahead.   Her parents, Hana and Justin were the most happiest people alive to have a baby daughter as gorgeous as that little girl with chocolate hazel gaze and the biggest wild smile your eyes had ever seen. Even thought they had a secret they been hiding, their specie, they decided that Eva has to learn about it at a young age so it could help her understand more and practice it so she could master it by the age of eighteen. The family never thought it was a good idea for a baby girl to know her special gift this soon but, in a shock for everyone, she took it pretty well. From the age she was able to speak a few first words, there was “ Light”, “Darkness” . Words that her family never spoke around her for safety and of course, not scare the child of such a young age. Being the first child of the big family, she was very loved and cuddled by all her aunts and grandparents. ‘She started growing up so beautiful every single day. They are feeling very blessed that they have a beautiful girl like her. She perfect as a jewelry.’ That’s what it was always heard in the house. But who wouldn’t say that when someone has their first baby child?

That’s how Eva started to become, gently, the diamond of the Martin family. No one ever believed that that little girl would get gorgeous and gorgeous every single day. At the age of three, when every child starts to realize more and more about the world around, she was the most calm and listening of them all. Always doing what her parents asked her. Eva always tried to be the best child for her family even if she was the only one. Even at that little age, she knew that something was different about herself apart from the others in town but at that time she didn’t actually understood what so, alone before her parents would talk to her, she started to do researches. She couldn’t say she was a freak. She just saw herself as being just .. special. Like everyone was , right? Everyone was special in their own way. From that fragile age, she couldn’t understand what everyone was actually wanting, what they need or what they were looking for. But it all links to one thing only, happiness. Even if it turns around and there are low chances to achieve it, they were still looking for it.

Although, people didn’t understood the meaning on different. They understood it as being a freak or a ‘thing’ that is strange. Not even the ones that have that quality of being something else. But that didn’t change her point of view . Even she believed she was ‘that type of category that didn’t stopped herself from being friendly and care about the people around her. She felt in my veins that she could stop couldn’t stop it. That’s how Eva started step by step to make friends. In school, she was friendly with everyone. At least, she tried. Even with the bullies because she realized that those have their own problems as well that they are afraid to talk about. Many of them start bulling just because they don’t feel loved by their parents or that affection from them when they were getting back home. Still, who was she to judge the attitude of someone beside herself? ‘The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without speaking confess the secrets of the heart’.

Evalyn was always the most calm and polite child that everyone had ever seen. She was though to respect others even if she wasn’t getting the respect back. Her parents had always said that she has to let a place for a “Good day”. She even got the news of her powers quiet calmly. Of course, she had denied everything her parents had tried to explain to her. But slowly, she had the power to trust them instead of thinking they are crazy. And with that she started to practice her abilities. And it had seemed that everything they said it was true. She always knew she was different but never knew how much. She started to feel more confident in herself now knowing that she wasn’t crazy about the feeling that she was different from any other people. She was special.

One day, something changed. Even though she was a friend with almost everyone, she got a chance to stay that day with a boy she usually didn’t spoke to, Adam Lee. He looked exactly just like her. Was he a Korean boy as well? She wasn’t shy to talk to him so she just started a conversation about the class they were having. Even though she saw it pretty boring, starting to talk with him was getting things more interesting. She was just a fourteen old girl that didn’t knew nothing about boys that time. And he seemed a pretty nice boy to hang out with and before she know it, she was such a good friend with him and wanted to buy him something for his fifteen birthday. She heard it was coming up and wanted to make something nice for him. But as she didn’t got it done in time, she promised him she will give it the next day. Then was the Adam asked her if she wants to meet to eat ice cream and give him the gift she was trying to prepare. She felt strangely happy that he asked her like that. Eva was starting to think it was one of those things that people do, a date. So, besides of trying to get his gift ready, she was searching on the internet the best way to look cute in front of him. Like, she wanted to impress him.

As the day came, she made some curls in her long hair and put some cute makeup that she saw on Youtube to make her look more gorgeous then she usually was. It was like she was having her first crush on a boy.  Getting her favorite dress, she rushed over to school wanting him excited to enter the class and sit next to her. But the waiting time got longer and longer until the classes were over. She started to wonder what happened to him. Was he sick or something came up and couldn’t come at school? Those thoughts caught her all day as she rested her gaze on the class’s window. Even if he didn’t came she hoped he will come at the meeting they planned. He promise, after all. Maybe he didn’t want to come to school because he was bored? Or not in the mood? She shook her head and started to wait in the park for him to arrive. But it passed half an hour, 2 hours and still, he didn’t showed up. No calls, no message, nothing. Did he forget about her? That meant she wasn’t that important for him? She thought that all night long. It was like hunting her so, she had the plan to ask him the first thing when he arrives at school. Eva felt so disappointed and heartbroken that made her the other day totally out of that world.

That awful feeling cost her everything. As she passed the street, without looking, a car hit her throwing her ten meters on the ground unconsciousness. Being rushed to the hospital, she had the luck that nothing was broken. But they couldn’t say anything about her memory. It seemed that the big impact her head had with the ground caused a amnesia. Lucky for the family, she was remembering everything until the age of ten but everything until she was fourteen had been washed out like a blink of an eye. All her knowledge about her powers, the supernatural world, her abilities, about him. Everything about she had about Adam, even her memories with him, were all gone. From time to time, Eva was having flashes with him but never could get a explanation of how he really was or why does she remember a stranger. From that moment, all her happiness got less and she couldn’t get out of the house for a few months during the recovery she was having. Nobody could recognize her as the happiest person in the world. He smiled was hiding the sadness of an accident that made her feel worthless. So, she had to take everything from zero once again.

Her life resumed a sense of normalcy after her claiming ceremony. Despite the confusion and everthing that had gone on in her life she was claimed by the Light and became a Fae.

Everything was getting new again for her but this time, it was just too much for her to handle. When she was little, she had more understanding in her parents words about supernatural but now knowing there are many creatures around her made her slightly skeptical. In time, she got closer to her normal self but it wasn’t entirely there. She never escaped the stranger’s flashes through her head but she needed to act normal and move on with her like. Nothing is impossible.  Currently, she came to Evermore along with the rest of the factions and the specific species. Eva came here to find more like herself and even meet others. There are no strangers there. Only friends she haven't yet met. And maybe, she will get a chance to find that man that is in her mind for so many years.

The day the comet struck was one that was terrifying and strange to Eva and the entire faction. Pain consumed her and her entire body and family until they were all unconscious. When they awoke, they went to their ambassador for answer. After being turned away at first, it was only a few short days before they were informed they had been changed. They had all noticed it, of course, how different they all felt, how the Necromancers no longer weakened them when they were together. Now they were one. The Instar Diviners....
