Grayson had spent most of his childhood growing up living in foster care having to move foster home to foster home around every 4 months or so. He never really had anything solid in his life; he never really cared about anything much since he didn’t have much to care about. Expect one thing, his cello. He spent a lot of his spare time locked inside his room, away from the children and adults in the foster home. He liked having his own space, a place where he could be alone. Grayson had been playing the cello for years since he had been in the second grade, he had always felt peace and unity when playing. There had not been a day since then he had gone by that he had not picked up his bow and played Ludwig Van Beethoven concerto. He became very skilled in the art of playing his cello, getting better and better each day that had passed. On his 15th birthday, Grayson realised that there was something different about him. Whenever he would feel extreme emotions like anger, sadness, excitement even, things would blow about around him whether it be almost like a breeze or a full on hurricane. It didn't matter where he was or when it was. When Grayson was 17 years old, he got into a fist fight with one of the people that attended the school he had only been at for 8 weeks over a girl that he had gotten drunk and kissed that was apparently this guy’s girlfriend. Grayson managed to blow him to the ground and knock him out upon the concrete 4 metres away.

Shocked upon his new found ability, Grayson ran home immediately and packed a backpack full of a few sets of clothes, his music folder and a water bottle. He through a plaid and grey hoodie over his shoulders and strapped his cello case to his back before slinging his bag over the half of a shoulder he had left and running down to his bike, hoping on and riding. Just riding. Through dozens of towns and cities, resting in a park for a night, dozens of nights without end until one night. One night where he was playing his cello upon a park bench, occasionally receiving 50 cents from the random passer-by when a hand was placed on his shoulder. Grayson jumped at the touch and turned to see a tall blonde woman who invited him to go with her. Grayson hesitated at first but he had nothing to lose. He packed up his cello and carried his stuff to the woman's car, packing it in and she drove them into a city. Evermore City.

10 months had massed and the mysterious woman, who he learnt the name of, was someone called Aurora, she permitted Grayson to live with her until he got on his feet, so Grayson did everything he could to repay her. He kept their house clean and did the dishes every time though it was probably no consolation for what she had done for him, he had to try. One day Grayson was in his room watching the TV he had felt a pain in his back for a while; he had always seemed to ignore the pain and think that it was only just because he may have overworked in the gym and pulled a muscle in his back that was causing his pain. He had felt a soaring pain that shot right through his back, the pain was unbearable. It had felt that he was getting a tattoo; he went into his bathroom to try to see if he had a bruising on his back or something. He ran and looked in a nearby mirror only to see that he had a tattoo on his back, he had no idea why or how it had gotten there. On an orange skied Friday afternoon, Grayson was doing the dishes and Aurora told him that she had to go out so once she had left Grayson decided to use the skills had had been channelling for months now on a target, so, he twisted the air above the soapy water filled sink into the water, carbonating it, forming large amounts of foam to bubble off the top. Grayson smiled at his new ability the channel the energy. Aurora came back inside to collect her forgotten keys, catching him using his powers. She picked up her keys and dragged him to her car and drove into the depths of the city, stopping outside a large building and dragging him inside and explaining everything along the way.

He was what she called an 'Initia', specialising in the air element.
