The Garcia family were a rich family in Michigan, U.S.A. Arthur was the head of the house and an Army Officer, whilst his wife Sonja was a well respected Lawyer. The couple had married when they were young; having been high-school sweethearts. 3 years into their marriage; Sonja found out she was pregnant with their first child. On one cold morning of 24th February, Maddison Eliza Garcia was born. The baby girl was healthy, and resembled both of her parents; getting her eyes from her father and her mother’s beauty. The Garcia household, was filled with joy and happiness; when baby Maddison was home. Despite her father travelling for work; he adored his baby girl. For the first few years, Sonja took some time off work; mainly working from home, if clients really needed her help. Getting the assistance from Hilda and Steven; whom were Maddison’s Grandparents. When Maddison was 4, Sonja returned back to work. If Maddie wasn’t in play school, she was spending time with her grand-parents. When young Maddie tuned 7, the family grew; as Sonja gave birth to Maddion’s younger brother; Hudson The young girl, was excited and happy to welcome her baby brother to the world. With young Hudson, being the baby. Maddison was the older, responsible sister.

The two siblings were close. Like any siblings they would occasionally bicker; but there was a love between the two. While Maddison was seen as the responsible one, young Hudson was a bit of a mischievous/reckless one. For a few years, Maddison tried to keep her brother out of trouble; trying to steer him away from people whom were a bad influence. But it wasn’t always successful. Anytime, Arthur was home; the household had very strict rules.Their father seemingly very uptight and military-like-even around his own children. One day, her brother had lost their father’s military badge, in a game with his friends. Maddison knew how angry their father would be. So she decided to take the fault for her baby brother. That particular evening; Arthur was turning the house upside down, in search of his badge. Without it, he felt less important, when it came to ceremonies. When he questioned his children about it. Maddison stepped up shyly, admitting that she lost the badge. Claiming, she wanted to show her friends at school, how important and victorious her father had been to gain that badge of honor. Arthur was mad and disappointed with Maddison. With angry words said, she was grounded. Whilst she took the brunt of the punishment, and didn’t eat that night. She knew, it was best that she suffer her father’s anger, rather than her baby brother.

Maddison stayed grounded for two weeks; she knew nothing but school and her bedroom for those two weeks. Her father making sure she didn’t go out and see any friends. The young girl obeyed without saying a word. Focusing on her studies. Whilst the Garcia’s expected their children to follow in their footsteps. They both had other ideas, about what they wanted to do. Maddison was leaning towards studying medicine. Wanting to become a nurse; so she could help people, whom were sick. Before her punishment ended; the military badge was mysteriously found, by one of Hudson’s friends. Returning it to the Garcia household, one night when her baby brother was having a sleep-over, with his friends. Maddison was relieved, the badge was found. And the truth, stayed hidden. As far as her parents were concerned, she had been the culprit...the rest was water under the bridge.

Over the next few years. Maddison focused on finishing high-school. Coming top of all her classes and exams before college. It was shortly after her graduation; that tensions in the Garcia household rose. Her parents constantly arguing/fighting over anything and everything, especially her and Hudson’s future. It soon was revealed that Sonja and Arthur were getting a divorce; on account of adultery and ireconsible differences.  And a long custody battle began for their two children. Due to stress, Maddison took a gap year; not wanting to start college until things settled down, or she wouldn’t be able to focus on her medical studies. Her brother eventually left home; going to stay with their grand-parents Hilda and Steven. With a broken home; Maddison spent few weeks back and forth between both parents; as College was finally starting. Having a part time job in a popular cafe, to help pay for her tuition, aswell as volunteering at the hospital. Anything to keep her from being home; with one of her parents.

Maddison was 21, when she met a young handsome doctor by the name of Dante Miller. Dante was starting his first year of residency as a Otolaryngologist. The two seemed to click pretty quickly, starting to date after 4.5 months of knowing each other. Dante was her first serious relationship. Maddison didn’t date much in her teen years, having the occasional small crush here and there. But she had been focused on her studies back then. For the next 2.5 years, thing seemed to be going smoothly. One Christmas, Maddison took Dante with her for a family dinner; at her grand-parents house. Dante seemed to receive mixed views/feelings from her family. While they seemed to approve, they had their suspicions he wasn’t good enough for her. But the reasons remained unknown. The two eventually married. What Maddison hoped would be a happy and long marriage.

It was only when Maddison discovered she was pregnant; that things started to take a turn. Dante suddenly became more possessive. It was like something had over-come him. He needed to know where she was, whom she was texting/calling, spending her time with. For a while, Maddison tried to ignore the signs that started to present itself. She was blind; blind to the truth. As she was in love with him. Maddison kept in contact with her baby brother and grand-parents, visiting on occasions. It was her escape from Dante’s random outbursts and possessiveness. 4 months into the pregnancy; Maddison suffered something heart-breaking. A miscarriage. With all the stress of Dante’s actions and outbursts...her body couldn’t cope. Her heart was shattered; loosing her unborn child. Dante on the other hand was outraged and blaming Maddison for it. Calling her a failure. That night was the first time, he struck her;physically. And it would not be the last.

Over the next few years. Maddison suffered from domestic abuse. She never knew what would set Dante off. It could be anything, even the small things; like a broken plate, forgotten message, or speaking to her brother on the phone. Like many women in such a situation. Maddison suffered in silence. Scared to tell anybody, even her baby brother; whom she never kept secrets from. But she feared for his safety too, if Dante found out that she told anyone, what he was doing to her. Slowly Dante was forcing her to cut ties, with people close to her. It started with her friends, and eventually her grand-parents and baby brother. The last time she had seen the trio, was when Hudson passed his firefighter exams. That day, Maddison felt proud of her baby brother and what he was trying to achieve. Besides her grand-parents; she was the only one proud of him and supportive of his career choice. As much as it hurt her to cut ties with her family members; it was for the best.

One Christmas evening; Maddison and Dante had gotten into one of their arguments again. Yelling, Crying, things being thrown. It had caused one of their neighbors to call the police; to check in on them and see what was going on. When the police arrived; it was quiet. Dante had been cooling off in his study, when Maddison answered the door. Still teary and a few scratches on her face. The Police officer began to question her, about what was going on. But knowing her partner was in the house; Maddison tried to lie her way out of it. Claiming it was nothing, but a silly argument. But the officer knew better. Trying to get her to open up and speak if she needed protection. Maddison couldn’t do so, as Dante walked in on the conversation. The Police officer, backed away; knowing with her husband near by. He couldn’t get her to open up. Instead faking a story about a break-in few, houses away. Whilst it seemed fruitless. That encounter with the police officer, made Maddison realise something. After he left. Maddison took another beating from Dante; whom was angry, knowing what the police officer most likely told her. Threatening her, that she couldn’t leave him. That they were meant to be, and meant to die together. And that if she left him, he’d kill her with his bare hands.

That night, something had truly snapped in Maddison. She needed to leave. The last few years haunting her; every time she closed her eyes. Nor did she truly recover from losing their unborn child either.  It was a long night for her. Dante went on an evening/double shift for the next day. When he was gone. Maddison jumped at the chance of packing her things, grabbing her documents and fleeing. Quickly quitting her job, as a nurse in a smaller hospital, than the one that Dante worked in. She knew she didn’t have much. But she needed to get away from the life she had, needing a new start. Heading to the airport. She had no idea where she was going. For a short while, she hopped around. Hoping to loose track of Dante, in case he was following her. Before she eventually found herself on her brother’s doorstep.  Whilst Maddison knew she had a lot of questions to answer, she hoped to make up with her baby brother and start a-fresh in a new city.

The two siblings slowly rekindling. Maddie told Hudson parts of the story, as to why she had left/was running away from her husband. What she left out, she was sure her brother would figure out himself. With the help of her brother; she slowly began to try and get her life together. Eventually getting an apartment and a new job. Rather than going back to being a nurse. Maddison got a job as a 9-1-1 operator. With a new job; Maddison was still able to help people, without being face to face. Her life was slowly looking up. Eventually getting the courage to file for divorce; to be truly free of her psychotic husband. But unknown to her, Dante had managed to track her. He had been following her from a distance, for a few weeks. Trying to find the perfect time to strike.

One evening after her shift. Maddison was getting ready to go out with a few friends from work. One included a handsome young male, whom developed a bit of a crush on her. Knowing about the plans, Dante felt jealous. In that moment he struck. Attacking the guy; shooting him. Before proceeding to kidnap Maddison. Nothing was left on the scene, aside from blood, a dying male and Maddison’s phone that she dropped in the chaos. Maddison was scared; trying to think of ways to escape. But her hands were tied and there wasn’t much, she could do being in a car. Trying to wait for an opportunity to fight back. If she dared talk back; it was met with a hefty slap. As usual, she was to blame for everything that Dante was doing. Whilst Dante was on the run with Maddison, trying to take her far away. The search for her slowly began. Eventually, Maddison tried to make a run for it, when they reached a gas station. After attempting to climb from a window in a bathroom. The shop owner; tried to protect the young female by standing up to Dante, only for the poor elder male to be shot, for trying to defend the scared female. And once again, the car journey continued, after being dragged back. Maddison had no idea where Dante was taking her. The pair eventually ended up in a winter resort in the middle of nowhere. The cabins were all empty, as it was out of season. But Dante broke in; regardless. Now that they had stopped. Maddison had some time to think and see if she could escape. Dante was trying to persuade Maddison to take him back, that things could be different. But she wasn’t stupid. She had learned her lesson and wouldn’t be fooled into thinking he had changed. When she found an opportunity. She swang a fire stick at him, cutting him deeply across the face; near the eye. Before making a run from the cabin.

The chase began. Dante running after her; shooting after her. Maddison had been managing to duck from incoming bullets; fleeing into the woods near-by. Trying to find a way to escape. Soon enough, a battle for life or death between them took place; as she was defending herself from him; with the make-shift weapon from the cabin. Screams, grunts, stabbing sounds filled the silent air around them.  Both of them bleeding, from wounds inflicted by each other. In the near distance;there were voices. Cops and her brother searching for her; so they could bring her to safety. Eventually succumbing to their injuries...both of them were laying on the snowy ground bleeding. Whilst it looked like they both might die, side by side. Like Dante always claimed. Maddison was determined to live, to fight on. Getting up, bleeding and weak. She carried on running. Her vision blurry and everything else distorted. But she could make out someone in the near distance.

But she heard footsteps behind her, fast approaching. And a series of gunshots. But they weren’t fired by her ex. It belonged to a cop; who managed to shoot Dante. Finishing him off. Panicked and traumatised. Maddison fell into the arms of her brother, who had come to the rescue. Maddison’s mind was spinning...and wasn’t sure; who was responsible for her crazy husband’s death. Her...or the cop, whom saved her back, from Dante pursuing her further. Whilst she was finally safe; and the one whom made it out alive. She got taken into hospital for treatment of her wounds. With weeks of recovery; Maddison had also went to therapy sessions; to try and deal with her emotions and heal from the trauma. Whilst she had been used to keeping emotions and everything to herself; this was entirely too different for her.

Slowly time passed, trying to move past those traumatic events. Feeling broken and like damaged goods after everything her ex put her through. But she was free, finally free of him. 2 years later, for her 35th birthday. Her brother had planned a surprise family vacation. It had been a long time, since they had enjoyed a vacation and family time. So Maddison was looking forward to it. The destination was kept a secret. Wanting it to be a surprise, for Maddie; until they’d reach the airport at least. When the day of her birthday arrived; the journey began to the airport. Like any journey to the airport, it was a bit of a hasttle with transport and waiting. But it didn’t deter her excitement. Once they boarded the plane; a long journey abroad began. What was supposed to be a happy day/celebratory day, would soon turn into a tragedy.

Maddie was having birthday drinks, up in the air after the plane had taken off. It was about 3 hours into the plane journey; when the plane began to shake uncontrollably. Something was wrong. People screaming, wings on fire...things eventually flying about. As much as everyone tried to hold onto dear life; it was no use. It felt like time almost slowed down for a few moments; before the plane crashed, half inland...half in the sea. The plane crash killing almost everyone on impact, including her.

Her whole life went flashing before her eyes with all being ripped away from her, with no time to react to her death. That her brother would have the same fate as her. Everything went black like this was the end for her. With time passing before her but she couldn’t see it. Just as all darkness appeared, a light appeared, Maddison could see someone was offering her hand for her to take. To be brought to life, all away from the darkness. It took her a while to process it all. Remembering as the plane was starting to go down, the screams of people. Learning how she’s given a second chance at life to her brother too, becoming Aurazin’s. Maddison went on with her empath training, taking it more easier than others did. Soon she was out on missions with other senior Aurazin’s.

One day she was at the veil with her mentor, both of them felt something strange happening, feeling she was being pulled through the portal and fallen to Earth. Not knowing of a rip in the veil trapping and keeping them to Earth. Maddison stood with her people, going to the Ailward Aspects hoping they can help them to find out how to go home.
