Bio:

The Mortez family is a family that are originally based in France. A small family of shifters the Moretz family were a part of a small pack which was based in the woods in France. A quiet type of family they kind of kept to themselves apart from the pack meetings and the odd party. So it was really not all that surprising that when they had children, that it would more or less be the same kind of life for them. Born July 7th 1994 Max was the first born child of the Moretz family he had a lot to work for so that one day he could become the man of the house, never having a normal childhood Max was forced to grow up far too quickly. From the age of 5 his father would have him walking in the woods with him every single day, and learning the ways of the shifters. Max soon began to resent his father because he never felt like he had a choice in what he wanted to do in his life. To Max being a child meant you should be out playing with other kids your own age, but to his father that was a complete different story. His father never giving him a chance to breath. Young Max didn’t want to be in the family anymore because of the much pressure he was being put under.

It was only as his sister began to speak that his father began to let up on him. Not wishing to have the two siblings split in half, his father finally began to let Max be a child again and just have fun with his sister. Thankful toward his little sister Max couldn’t help but feel that he was making her his excuse for not stepping up, but it was only thanks to his mother explaining that his father didn’t have a childhood that Max finally began to understand. His father was forced to grow up and he was taking that out on him, but now he had to step up as a big brother he was able to chill out a little. Being able to go to school, play football and just have fun like a normal kid Max felt like his life was finally his. As he grew older and he and his sister became even more closer. Max knew for a fact that the pair of them would need to learn to defend themselves and get ready for the future they could end up having. As Max turned 12 he began to ask his father to teach him about the shifters and how to defend himself, however as his father did he explained that there was not only sun shifters there was moon was as well.

This was something that shocked Max hearing about the two shifters and how one became extinct. He couldn’t help but wonder if that moon shifters would ever be able to rise up again from that extinction that had happened to them. It was not long after that when Max’s father had finished speaking with him that they began the defence lessons. Learning how to fight and defend himself Max couldn’t help but take an even stronger interest within the Shifters. Soon pulling back from his childhood himself. Max spent a few years focusing on the life he would one day be living, evening if it meant pulling away from his sister a bit. Max didn’t want to risk allowing anything to get in the way of what he was to become. Attending school as normal Max also pulled back from his friends, but thankfully they understood the reasons on why he was doing this. Although as he turned 15 Max soon noticed how he had neglected not only his friends but the one person who meant the most to him, his baby sister Leah and that was something that didn’t sit well with him. Soon learning how to juggle both his family life and future life in one Max soon made up for the lost time. Mixing once again with his family Max was able to also mix with his friends and lucky enough he had got back on track before their final year.

However just as it came to the time for Max to leave school his life was turned upside down. His mother soon began to get threats and the family were forced to leave the pack they’d lived happily in for many years, moving across the world they landed themselves in Colorado Springs a beautiful place but Max couldn’t accept it. He didn’t like the thought of leaving France and leaving the life he had grew up in behind, however he soon learned to pick up the American English accent. Although while Max was forced to return to school he soon noticed how the American’s were not 100% accepting of him, but that didn’t bother him at all in the end of the day one day they’ll wish they didn’t judge him and make him feel like an outcast. However this time while he attended school he always made sure that he didn’t allow his sister out of his site. Making sure that the pair remained close Max was glad to see she’d not only grew into a beautiful young woman, but she’d also learned the same thing he did never allow people to judge you.

As the time came closer for Max to graduate Max focused on his exams and once he had finished. He was over the moon to hear he was going to be graduating. Not only with a job but with the levels to his life so he could attend college and where else would he want to go? Evermore City, Colorado. A city he’d heard about from a few friends back home he couldn’t help but remember that name, Evermore it sounded to him something you would find in a story book but he was willing to give this place a shot. Explaining to his family he wanted to go there they all agreed it would be the best thing for them, soon packing up for one more time Max and his family moved into Evermore City. However they didn’t move into the Shifter Community both Max and his sister had decided to live outside of it, unable to feel like the sun shifters were apart of who they were. They watched their parents moving into their new lives just as he and his sister moved into theirs. No longer allowing the past to live in their future Max went on to attend the college. Studying for a degree in computer science Max finally felt his life changing and not only for the good for the better.

However that all soon began to change. The massacre running through the city like a forest fire Max gave everything just to be sure his sister was alright, thankfully she was however he didn’t know what had become of his mother and father. Causing him to rush to the Shifter Community he found his parents had hidden and were alive. This was something that not only made Max feel happy but feel glad that his family didn’t fall victims to it. It was from there that Max and his sister asked them to move back in with them. Which thankfully they agreed to without a single argument. Max was glad to see that the family unit was back together and now he could only look forward to the future. A few months after that horrific massacre the city soon came under another threat only not one they could fight, one that actually came from the sky and it was none as the comet.

The comet which was going to change the lives of all those who lived within Evermore City. However when Max and his sister had gotten an invite to join the sun shifters in a meeting to speak about the moon and the sun shifters coming together again, how could he possibly pass up an offer like that? Agreeing to go Max took his sister with him and stood with those who had attended the meeting. It was from there that Max began to feel as the comet got closer Max felt this horrible burning in his arm and soon pain struck his head, like a thousand knives running throughout his head and body Max soon fell to the ground just by a ditch. Soon being pushed inside it by a male figure he had not actually met before, he soon heard a female telling them to take cover. However just as he heard that everything else went blank as if someone had turned off the light switch and he was left in the dark.

Max waking up a short time later he noticed his sister was still out cold next to him. He worried for her but soon remembered the pain he was getting in his arm. Noticing a moon shaped tattoo he was confused to find out what had happened, however looking toward some of the sun shifters he then remembered. The sun and the moon would join together to be one again and it was from there that Max knew he was tapped by the moon shifter. Thankfully he didn’t threat too much noticing the same tattoo on the back of his sisters shoulder blade, he couldn’t help but feel relieved to see that he was not alone on this. From them Max has not thought about the changes which had happened to both him and his sister that night, he thinks more about the future and what could lay ahead for him. All Max hopes now that the moon shifters will never be lead to extinction again.
