Born on the Isle of Mull off the coast of mainland England, Oscar was born into a wealthy family that come from a long line of pure blood Nephilim. The Hastings family have established a large Manor house for their family many generations ago on the far side of the Island. The house has a large cave system beneath it which houses a library with historical events, family history & unique knowledge of the Supernatural world. It also holds a natural water spot, similar to a pool which has healing qualities to it. 

In the past during hardships of mankind & persecution of supernatural Beings alike the Hastings ancestors would provide refuge to those who sought it. Many witness accounts of these events are kept in the library where Oscar has spent a lot of time over the years studying the books; something which fascinates him.

Oscar has always been a man of tradition & family orientated, yet he is compassionate & open minded. He's always been fiercely protective over his siblings which is shown how he would watch over them & even help train them out in the woodlands by their family home. He was responsible for teaching his brother Alastair how to fly, Oscar himself having an impressive set of wings. A bit of an old soul, the dashing young man was often sought out by many potential companions but he never truly settled with anyone, partly because they didn't hold the same kind of values, compassion & crave for knowledge.

When Alastair, his younger brother took off to live in Evermore where he hoped to find out more about the Meteor that struck & what the consequences was to be for the Supernatural world Oscar didn't realize just how much he'd miss him. As patient & family orientated he was, Oscar did enjoy his lone time too which is where Alastair as a young lad became quite a nuisance as he constantly would follow Oscar wherever he went. The family often would jest at how Alastair was like his shadow, to Oscar's bemusement. Feeling concerned for Alastair being alone out there along with his drive to learn more about the recent events Oscar decided to migrate to Evermore to join his Brother.
