Terrance was the oldest of the Avery siblings he had a twin sister, Tamara. Who he was very close to, he was quite protective of her as he considered her his little sister who he would always take care of. Him and Tamara were very alike in many ways, growing up they were conjoined at the hip; they were insuperable always doing everything with each other. Their dad had nicknamed them both as the ‘Terror Twins’, always acting up and playing games all day and night. They had lived and grew up in a small village that was to a nearby town in the state of Idaho; Pocatello was the biggest city in the state and was a place where Terrance and Tamara were taken by their parents. One of the things that Terrance had loved about where they lived was that they were surrounded by mountains and the great outdoors. It was a place where they were away from society and the only way that they could get to town was by car as it was a long walk away. You could say that they had lived in a biggish estate, they were not rich nor were rich, Terrance’s parents had put money aside for him and his sister’s education so that one day they could both get a job of their own one day in the future.
When Terrance was only 4 years old his mother had fallen pregnant and had another sibling, who they named Kaden. Terrance wasn’t overly fond of his younger brother to begin with as he liked it being just him, his sister and his parents. He now had a younger brother who the new member of his family, he was quite close with Kaden but his relationship he had between him and kaden wasn’t like what is was between him and Tamara. Terrance had attended the local high school in one of the nearby town in idaho, he and Tamara weren’t at the top of their classes nor were they at the bottom. As Terrance was becoming older, during his high school years he had started to notice strange things happening to him,he felt that he was different from some reason. He had felt a connection to fire, he would spent some time just watching the flame of a candle, watching it as it flickered. Although Terrrance always just simply forgotten about it and shook of the feeling and connect he had to fire. It was until one night when he was with Tamara when they had overheard their parents speaking with each other in hushed tones. “What are we going to do when they become initia, they will find out and will want to find out the truth”
Words which was strange to them, they heard their father saying. Although they did not know what his father was talking about and referring. One morning he had woken up after taking a shower noticing a tribal tattoo that had appeared on his back. Terrance had no idea, nor clue of why and how the tattoo had gotten on his skin. As he was about to tell his brother, he had noticed that his brother had the same tattoo on his back too. He had been feeling a burning and itching pain on his back for a couple of days although he had always thought none of it. After the appearance of the tattoo Terrance had found that he was now able to do things that he had thought wasn’t possible.
He knew that he had always felt a connection to fire although not knowing why; he had learnt that he was able to control fire. Being able to manipulate it, using it to his advantage, he was able to use his power, learning different things and what he was able to do with his new found abilities. As he was learning to use his powers, he wasn’t able to control it. As he was trying to use his element for a simple thing, he had set his curtains alight. Which started a fire inside the house, although luckily his brother was there who too was able to control an element like Terrance. Although Kaden was able to control water not fire element, he had used his abilities to put the fire out. As Terrance noticed Kaden began to feel like an outcast, unloved and unwanted due to Tamara and Terrance being the twins out of the three, Terrance started to bond with Kaden a little more, but by that time Kaden had began speaking about packing up and leaving for the military, that it would be best for not only the twin siblings but himself as well. Kaden let his sister as well as his parents know that he was leaving during a small family meeting, the three siblings unaware of their mother being sick, because she had kept it from them to keep from putting a strain on their life and them living a good life, until the night before graduation, Terrance completely disregarded his abilities to minapulate fire when his mother sat him down and told him to take care of his sister, because she didn’t have long to live, she had cancer and explained she was already at stage 4. Terrance pleaded to take her to the hospital, but their mother explained the doctors had done all they could and she wanted to die in the peace and quiet of her own home. Terrance wanted to drop out of graduation but his mother refused to let him and he followed her wishes, seeing as how she was knocking at death’s door already.
Terrance had gotten little to no sleep that night, but the morning after he knew it was graduation day, most people his age would have been excited, but Terrance was distraught by his new abilities with fire, and the fact that his mother was dying with cancer, he awoke to Kaden’s things being gone as well as Kaden, not even a simple goodbye letter from the third sibling. Terrance dwelled on it for a while and finally got ready for graduation, his mother attended their graduation with them, but it was the last thing she ever did, as Terrance and Tamara walked across stage holding hands in their caps and gowns, their mother had died in the crowd of people. The Avery twins ran off stage while others in the crowd were calling 911. They knew their mothers time was up, and they both felt resentful towards Kaden for leaving so soon. Later that night, Terrance had arrived home with a note on the door for him to meet his father at the bridge, Terrance stormed out of the house and fled away to where his father was. His father wanted to apologize and explain why his parents had kept secrets from the siblings, as his father went to wrap his arms around Terrance, Terrance shoved him, not realizing how close they were to the edge of the bridge, his father had fallen and died instantly when hitting the cold concrete below them.
Terrance fell to his knees and sobbed for what seemed like hours, but after several moments, he acted quickly and called the cops, saying his father had jumped and committed suicide from grieving over their mother. It was a secret he had hoped to keep from Tamara for the rest of their lives, they no longer had parents and Kaden was gone. When the news got out to Tamara she rushed to her brothers side, the twin siblings stuck together and Terrance suggested that they moved to Evermore for a fresh start, he had remembered hearing the city’s name during a phone call his father had, talking about Initia’s people like themselves who resided in Evermore. After the siblings both agreed to a fresh start in Evermore, they packed their things and struck a match to the house that held many memories, and left their hometown to start their new lives and both of them decided to go to one of the well known college’s in Evermore. It took a while for Terrance to recover from what had happened but once he did, life had started going by smoothly, he was now attending college with his twin sister.
He didn’t think anything else could have possibly happened worse than the night he pushed his father over the bridge until the comet hit Evermore. Terrance already had the ability to control fire, but after the comet hit, something about him had changed, he felt different, and when he woke, all he remembered was the agonizing pain before he blacked out. That was the night he and his sister gained their second element, both being able to control water and air now. Terrance didn’t allow it to put a damper on his college life, during his free time, he would go into the woods with his twin sister Tamara and practice their elements together, trying to perfect them and went on living his life as normal as he possibly could.
