Xander is an orphan who was taken in by an adopted family while still a baby, it was never really explained as to why he was given up as he seemed to be a perfectly healthy child. However there was a letter given to the adopted family when they took him in which was only to be opened by Xander when he turned Eighteen years of age. Xander had a fairly ordinary childhood, a happy one, he fitted in well with his family & they provided everything he needed & more. However once he started High School things began to change, it was around this time of puberty that like all teens he was beginning to find himself, his emotions up & down due to hormones. He had some anger issues, mostly because he held things in & would often get into scraps at school during the first few years.

However, as he got a little older & further into school Xander began to find himself & settle more. He had a small, but supportive good set of friends which helped. He was considered to be quite Cute & Handsome among his peers which brought an altogether new dilemma for him, he'd already come to the realization that he was homosexual, however he wasn't entirely comfortable in himself enough to tell people about it. So instead, of dating or attracting unwanted attention Xander would claim his family are considerably strict on such matters & that he was to concentrate on his grades.

After his Eighteenth birthday, the letter he was supposed to open failed to be presented to him. His parents couldn't bring themselves to give it to him, he was happy & he felt belonging so why would they want to tell him something he didn't need to know? Little did they know, questions were already being raised in his mind when he woke up from a drunken night before with an odd imprinted tattoo on his lower back, it would tingle every now & then when the first brush of air hit him when he'd leave a place. This began to become more prominent, when he was heading home on a cold winters night he was walking down a back alley & something startled him which caused a strong gust of wind to swirl around him & then blast immediately forward which knocked a few bins over.

After getting over the initial shock of these odd events which seemed to become more & more frequent, at the age of Nineteen he asked his parents whether they knew anything of the family history, that was when they realized they had to tell him that he was adopted. It broke his heart, but they continued to reassure him that they was still his parents & they loved him as he was their son. Eventually he got over it, but he still had questions which needed to be answered & that's when he finally plucked up the courage to read the letter his parents had given to him, it seemed to be that his Birth parents did what they did to protect him & that he had a sister named Aurora too. That led Xander to do some research which brought the young man to the small Town of Evermore, Colorado. He's been here a few years now & has formed a somewhat close bond with Aurora, along with receiving much needed help with his abilities. He still remains in frequent contact with his adopted parents who he now fully considers his real family.
