If there was one thing that Sariah Holloway was terrible at, it was buying gifts, second to actually being able to keep a secret and not telling people what she was up to. And today? Today she was attempting both. It wasn't that she didn't have ideas or thoughts, it was that she had so many ideas in her head that all started clashing with one another and making her doubt what would be best or whether she was completely on the wrong path. So she had spent pretty much all afternoon walking through shops, looking at things, putting them back and moving on, rinse and repeat.
And now it was the evening, all the shops were closing and she was still none the wiser on what to get for Orion. He was really hard to buy for, considering he already had most of the things he needed, she could have gotten him alcohol but that always felt like a cop-out gift and she wasn't sure he would go for anything sappy. Sighing the blonde ran a hand through her ponytail as she stepped out of the final shop still empty-handed. She had wandered so far towards the outskirts of the city that she actually could see the woods and therianthrope territory in the distance.
And suddenly she was struck with an idea. Sariah remembered Orion mentioning the same bar a few times when they had been together, something about a country den she was sure. Pursing her lips she pulled her phone out and started typing out the part she knew on her phone until the GPS managed to find a place not too far from her. If Orion visited there often he probably had friends there right? Maybe she could bargain them for some help in her gift buying task and if not then at least she would get to see the place that Orion seemed to rate so highly, either way, it seemed like a win.
She followed the GPS which led her down a few different streets until she eventually found herself standing outside the place. She could hear music and chatter inside, though her mind was mostly on her feet which were aching like hell from all the walking she had done this afternoon, frustrating considering she came out empty-handed but she would live. Without another thought, she pushed the door open and wandered inside. The sound of the music echoed louder in her ears, it was nice though, she didn't go to bars often but at least she was able to hear herself think in here. Of course, the moment she walked in eyes were on her, Sariah got that a lot with the supernatural, considering she was nearly always appearing in the first few pages of Evermore daily nowadays.
She tried to shake it off, she didn't really like people staring at her but she figured these therianthropes would probably be especially wary of the human ambassador considering her secret but not really a secret relationship with their alpha. She headed up towards the bar, the blonde leaning both arms on the countertop while she waited to be served. Perhaps she could start with the bartender? Though she suspected most everyone in here probably knew Orion from the looks of things.

Nodding his head he had to agree with her on that statement Orion was a very good man and very upstanding. Kane almost thought he could never measure up to half of the man Orion was, not that he was intentionally trying to be like his friend. Kane just hoped that he could be half as good as him someday. Looking into the fire he got up to put some more wood onto the fire to keep it going, turning back to her as she began to recount her story.
Kane let out another hearty laugh “Wait so you blinded the old fox?” He continued to laugh holding his chest as he laughed harder. Once he was able to calm down and catch his breath he exhaled a breath “Sorry, I just.. Wow.” He took a breath still trying to calm himself down from the laughing fit. “I literally can not imagine that I really wish I had of been there to see that!” He smirked and plopped back into his chair.
“Yeah I do have a bit of time on my hands every now and then so a puppy shouldn’t be too much more to add, Plus I have a few friends that I don’t think would mind giving me a hand with a pup.” Ada that was a unique name for a cat he thought to himself “Program like a computer?” he asked. When it came to technology Kane was utterly hopeless and he never really bothered with it, Hell his Den barely ran on Technology either. He often forgot his cellphone at home too, which resulted in people yelling at him.
The conversation took a quick flip to talking about himself, a conversation that often made Kane a little uncomfortable only because he didn’t often talk about himself or let people know about his past. He cleared his throat trying to think about what exactly he wanted to say, and not scare her away, or think that her man’s close friend was some kind of monster. He took the time to carefully pour over his own thoughts weighing out his options in his mind first.
“Has Orion told you anything about my past?” He asked first, though knowing Orion he wouldn’t as it was Kane’s past to tell someone if he so chooses to or not, Orion knew just how much Kane regretted some of the things he had done in his lifetime. “I uhh… I was a hired hand for a casino once upon a time, doing their bidding whenever needed, I was really good at it. Though it doesn’t really umm… sit well with me.” He said in an honest tone. “I got into it when I needed cash, I had left home, my father and I didn’t see eye to eye anymore”
Hearing the male’s laugh made her smile, he had a really genuine laugh that felt kind of contagious if she was honest “Temporarily” she admitted her face still red as she hid behind her hands, she was glad she could laugh about it now but back then she had been panicking like hell considering she didn’t know whether the effects would be permanent “Thankfully I managed to help him get his sight back before we became valkyr prey” she shook her head slightly but she still had an amused smile on her lips.
Sariah smiled, she never thought she was a massive animal person but getting Ada had really changed her mind and now she really loved having a pet around to come home to every night, her cat was always excited to see her, or at least to get food from her anyway “I definitely wouldn’t say no to the chance to walk a pup every so often either” she teased with a smile. When he asked about the program she nodded her head pushing up her glasses “Computer science is my thing, I graduated from MIT a few years ago” which was the biggest computer-based university there was.
The blonde had to wonder for a moment if she’d overstepped, she had a habit of asking questions that were more direct than they probably should have been, it wasn’t that she was trying to pry, it was just that her curiosity didn’t really have a filter and words came out in a stream that she was rarely able to actually control. She saw his reaction and raised a hand about to tell him that he didn’t need to answer her but then he started speaking.
Sariah shook her head when he asked if Orion had told her about his friend’s past, Orion wasn’t the kind of person to spill personal information about his friends, not even to someone he was very close to like her, he was very loyal that way. When he spoke about his past she swallowed a little and nodded “I think we’ve all done things we regretted in the past” she admitted, her voice low because what they were talking about was on the wrong side of the law “I didn’t always use my abilities on a computer for the best causes either” she admitted with a nod, she wasn’t going to judge him, it sounded like he realized his mistake and fixed it, much like she did.
“But we can’t change our pasts, right? All we can do is work towards being better in the present and the future” she nodded and her ponytail swished side to side a little with the motion. She sipped the drink she had been holding for the past few minutes untouched before she spoke again “So Orion helped you get out of there?” she asked curiously, it sounded like something he would do if she was honest, Orion was always trying to save people.
Kane couldn’t help but laugh again “Temp--” He burst out harder, holding his chest as he tried to catch his breath. “Whoa, I would have loved to have seen that.” His laugh faded into a small smile as she mentioned being Valkyr prey. “You two sure have some stories to tell, I will need to hear more.” He said. Kane was interested after all Orion was one of his very closest friends and he took a natural interest in those he cared about, which now that he had personally met Sariah it would extend to her as well.
“Perfect I already have a puppy sitter, think it is set in stone in that case.” He said, “Though I wouldn’t have the slightest idea of where to start. So we could maybe do that next after we get the gift ideas settled.” He added. “Oh wow, beautiful and smart. Orion really did hit the jackpot with you now didn’t he.” Kane finished off his now room temp drink and placed it down.
Taking a deep breath “No, his brother actually.” He said remembering the day he nearly died, and the conversation that followed like it was yesterday. “I had been ordered to threaten the daughter of a man who owed my employer some money. I was on my way to do the job, and uh.” Kane stopped clearing his throat clearly he was slightly choked up. Normally he was really good at hiding his feeling but this particular memory was one that haunted him for obvious reason. “The girl I was to threaten was a child, no more than ten years old.” He wiped at a stray tear “I refused to finish the job.” He folded his hands together in his lap, looking down at them.
“My employer didn’t like that too much, he sent a group of men after me. They had gotten the upper hand on me, and beat me within an inch of my life.” Kane shuddered he could feel every single one of his wounds all over again, He had never spoken of this to anyone other than Orion. Ri seemed easy to talk to and tell his story to, he looked up to meet her gaze. “That is when Aries showed up, he took out the men, saving my life and suggesting I get out now and make my way here to evermore, that I start to live an honest life. Job and all. So that is how this place came to be.”
“I came across his brother Orion, and I pledged that should he ever need me I would be there without hesitation. I may not be a part of the whole you know, pack thing. Yet if Orion needed me I would be there in a moment, His brother his the very reason I am still on this earth. I owe his family everything and more, though Rion would beg to differ and say I owe them nothing.” He cleared his throat. “Sorry didn’t mean to get all heavy on you there, I uh.. I don’t think I’ve told anyone that story before.. Besides Rion.” He admitted.
Sariah laughed softly, she was glad that the story of their first meeting always seemed to bring so much laughter to people, she could laugh about it now that it was over, it was a lot more traumatic on the actual night. “Nothing about our story has been simple or easy but I think that’s what makes it better” she admitted with a smile, they had to fight for this before it was even a this and if that didn’t prove their willingness to work for it then nothing would. Sariah didn’t trust easy and Orion had managed to gain it and really that said everything.
Sariah smiled brightly at the very idea of being able to share the love of being able to have a pet, honestly, it had completely changed her life in a way she didn’t expect and she loved knowing that, it seemed like such a trivial thing “Sure, though I’m not sure I’m an expert, I found my kitty on a box on the street” she pulled a slight pout, she hadn’t been able to leave Ada after that. Sariah scoffed when he complimented her and she pushed gently against his shoulder “Stop, you’ll make me blush” she teased with a laugh, she couldn’t take a compliment for her life.
Hearing the long pause he gave Sariah realized she’d hit a nerve and so she let him speak, going quiet and not prying too much, she didn’t want him to feel like he owed her any explanation of his life, they had just met after all. But he seemed to want to share the store and so nodded slightly as he listened to him talk, she could see the tears in his eyes which made her soften her expression a little, especially when he spoke about what job he was assigned to do and she gasped a little in shock, how could anyone put a hit on a little girl “Goodness” she commented as she pressed her lips together but let him continue.
As his story came to an end there were hints of tears in her eyes too and she reached over to place a hold on his arm for just a few seconds “We all do things we regret” she assured with a nod of her head, hell she had, not quite to that level but she still regretted it “The important part is realizing the mistake you made before it’s too late” which he had, she squeezed a little before she let go. Sariah was becoming much more confident when it came to human contact now, there had been a time where she refused to let anyone touch her but now she felt confident in her actions.
Orion always struggled to talk about his brothers but she did know their names and she assumed because they were related to him that they were raised as good as he was, it made her sad that she would never get the chance to meet them, especially after meeting Sera and Arwyn and seeing how good those kids were too. When he apologized for getting heavy she laughed and shook her head “No one wants to build a friendship on superficial things, I prefer being around people who can talk the real stuff” she admitted with then tilted her head slightly, very slyly putting in there that she wanted to be his friends. Sariah didn’t have a lot of friends but she figured anyone who Orion liked was definitely a good place to start. The blonde cleared her throat “What do you like to do for fun?” she asked before quickly following it up “Other than drink” maybe they had some hobbies in common.
Kane cleared his throat as she comforted him “Yes I think that is one of my biggest regrets.” The other was leaving Kadrin his ex, who still held a very large part of his heart. He reached up and wiped away his tears it wasn’t like him to cry, not around people really. He cleared his throat again as he regained himself. Taking a few long deep breaths he pushed his hair out of his face, all of this allowed him to calm.
“Thank you for listening, I am more than willing to talk the real stuff, though most of my past is not too pretty so I try not to talk about that. I try to look to the future as that is the direction I am going not backward.” He said which was very True Kane preferred to think about where he wanted to be and not where he had come from. His past had shaped him into the man he was today and he hoped if he ever had children he would be nothing like his father ever was. It made him wonder if that was why he felt at home in a bar, his father was an alcoholic who spent more times in bars than at home with his only son.
Pushing the painful thoughts aside Kane looked over at the blonde who had done her best to console him a moment ago. “Fun?” Kane wasn’t expecting that question, Kane really didn’t have much that he did for fun now that he was asked point blank. “I uh…” he stopped to think “I go for runs and hunt” Leaving out the part where he shifted into a Fox to do so. Kane doubted she enjoyed those things “Ummm, Being with friends I suppose is the most of it for me.” He looked around the bar.
“Oh, People watching… Yes I know that is weird, but I enjoy people watching and making up a reason they are doing what they are doing… or why they act the way they act.” He shrugged it was something he had never told anyone. There was just something about this little human sitting across from him that made him open up and he couldn’t figure it out. Maybe it was a simple as she looked genuinely curious about him, his thoughts his life, it was something he wasn’t used to. Yes, he had friends who cared and asked questions but they never got into the nitty-gritty as Kane and Ri had already.
Offering her a smile “I am a pretty boring guy, I mean I wake up and generally I am down here working away… my life is literally this place.” He motioned to the bar “This is my fun? I guess.” He shook his head what kind of fun could this really be, maybe hanging out with Ri more she could show him other things. “What about you?” He asked. Maybe she would shed light on things he wasn’t even thinking of at that moment.
Sariah nodded softly, she knew a few things about regrets and what they could do to a person, she definitely wasn't short on them but she also tried not to dwell on them too much, after all, what was the point in worrying about things you couldn't actually change, there were many better uses of time “It being a regret means you get to move on for it and make better decisions in spite of it” she certainly wasn't one for making the same mistake twice.
She smiled, she was a very down to earth person, she hated being around people who were fake or only cared for superficial topics or conversations, she would be polite around those kinds of people but they wouldn't get much out of her that could be considered real. Sariah didn't really let a lot of people in, not because she didn't like people but because she found it hard to trust people, especially those who were supernatural after seeing the way that some of them could act around humans “Forward is a good place to look, lots of things to look forward to if you play your cards right” Sariah had dreams just as she was sure everyone else “So do you have more dreams? You know things you wanna achieve from life” could be as small as seeing a certain place or as big as saving the world, that's why they were dreams after all.
Sariah had to laugh at the way he responded to her question like it was completely foreign to him to do things for fun. That was the thing about being an adult with responsibilities, sometimes you forgot what fun even was. She did appreciate the fact that he made an attempt to answer the question regardless though. Her expression was contempt and she nodded as he added new suggestions to the list. She wrinkled her nose a bit “Oh he's a runner too” she laughed, she couldn't run to save her life, she'd much rather do things like dancercise.
“I can respect a people watcher though, sometimes it's nice just to sit back and remember just how small you are in comparison to the world, see everyone caught up with their own thoughts and lives” plus you could often witness some pretty hilarious things, especially if you managed to run into someone who was clumsy. “You make it sound philosophical though, why they do what they do? Deep” she raised her brows in an amused expression as she watched him, he probably thought he was boring but most people had more hobbies than they thought, just didn't consider them hobbies.
“You managed to come up with an answer” she commented and laughed “I swear every time I ask someone that question they act as they've never had fun in their life” she gave a mock roll of her eyes and when he turned the question back on her “Well I'm a coder so I have a pot of personal projects I like to work on, challenge my skills and see what I can build” she nodded, some saw that as work but she actually really loved “I try to go to the movie theater at least twice a month because I'm addicted to movies, mostly the ones with superheroes in them, I love those” she tapped her chin a couple of times “I often visit the local animal shelter and take the dogs out for walks cause I really love walking up the mountains, though I'm really slow, figured I may as well bring a friend along” her apartment wasn't big enough for a dog so she couldn't have one until she got a bigger place but she got her fix on her walks “Plenty of stuff, I keep quite busy” she nodded.
Kane chuckled some “Yes I enjoy a good run, though I don’t think it is the way you are thinking.” He said with a smile. “Out in the woods” He gestured behind himself. Kane hadn’t thought his answer was all that deep but according to her, it was so he would go with it. “Thank you, it is one of those questions I think that just you know throw people off sometimes.” The Kitsune nodded his head. Kane couldn’t help but laugh more as she rolled her eyes “Yes fun is the enemy of an adult didn’t you know.” He gave a playful wink.
“The movies, wow that is something I haven’t done in some time,” he said, Kane hadn’t really gone and done much lately it was like he had forgotten that he was allowed to have fun sometimes. “I shall have to do that sometime soon, I use to really enjoy seeing a good movie when I had the chance.” He added. Shooting her another smile as she went on to describe another hobby of hers.
“Oh see lookie there you already have an in with an animal shelter, maybe you really are my Ace in the hole for finding a perfect dog for myself.” Kane was pretty stuck on the idea of owning a furry family friend to keep him company. “Next time you go for a walk I might join you if you don’t mind. Nature is one of those things I can’t get enough of.” Which was very true the Kitsune preferred to be out and away from the city whenever he was able to.
The noise of the city could be overwhelming whereas the quiet and soothing sounds of nature calmed him to his very core. It was nice to be able to let loose and talk about his likes with someone and not feel as though he was being interrogated for some FBI file.
Sariah laughed “Oh it’s exactly the way I’m thinking” she responded with a shrug of her shoulders, she’d been around therianthropes long enough to know what their version of going for a run was, she still hated the idea of running, even with four legs it sounded like more effort than it was worth but she couldn’t really judge considering she wasn’t one herself. “Fun is the only thing that can keep us sane” she commented as she ran her hand through her ponytail, if everything was serious and solemn all the time then what would be the point of getting up in the morning “There has to be some point to suffering through the daily grind right” most people’s motivation was holidays and traveling or family she found. Sometimes both if they had the money.
“You know I stopped for the longest time and then those unlimited movie memberships came out and I forgot how much I enjoyed them” she chuckled “My friend Holland had no idea what to get me for my birthday so she paid for my subscription and now it’s really nice to be able to go and just make the effort to get out of the house really” she was a bit of a homebody given half the chance so having something to look forward to going out for was actually really nice.
Sariah giggled and held her hands up in defense “Alright I could be a little biased but believe me when you see their faces you will be too” she really enjoyed being able to take the dogs out for long walks up the mountains, she followed a new trail every time she went and it felt a lot like a new adventure every time she managed to get away. Admittedly, she really wished it could be more often because work often got in the way and took her time but she did really enjoy the time she managed to get. “Oh for sure” she stated with a bright smile “Just make sure to bring your best walking boots because I can literally walk for hours” it was her alternative to running she supposed, she liked going to scenic places and just taking in the view, she’d brought Orion with her a few times before too “I was actually planning on heading down there on Saturday if you wanted to meet me there” she beamed softly imagining if he found his animal match there.
“Did you hear about the spring fling event coming up?” really who hadn’t, it was plastered on every streetlight in the city and there were even billboards on the buses. Sariah wasn’t much for big parties herself, always preferring to hang out at home rather than around a bunch of strangers. She wrinkled her nose showing her obvious distaste for the whole thing “I really wish being an ambassador didn’t mean being expected to go to these things” she chuckled, but really she was hoping to find out a friend was attending too so she’d at least have someone to look forward to bumping into.
“You are so very right Ri, there needs to be fun or else the daily grind sort of wears on well everyone.” He offered her another one of his genuine smiles. Kane had built most of his life around the bar, he wasn’t even sure he knew how to do much of anything else really. He had been on a scattered few dates and had even attempted to date a woman named Zeus at one point, he had found that to grow to be a bit awkward really after how they had met but over time the Kitsune and started to miss her company. He still was not sure how he was supposed to go about letting the Nephilim know how he was feeling about her, she instead he was being stubborn and keeping it to himself. He in a way felt as though he was betraying his first love thinking about another woman, she had forced him to go out and have fun; now that he and Ri were talking about socializing and having fun he couldn’t help but have his thoughts trace off in that direction.
“There is such a thing as an unlimited pass? To the movies?” He looked almost shocked at the idea “Wow do I ever feel old and out of date now.” The kitsune let out a loud happy laugh and shook his head at his own obliviousness to the advancements in the life around him. “I think I can learn a thing or 20 from you Ri” He shook his head and looked around the room “If you can’t tell I am not one for being on the grid, I tend to prefer being harder to find, and people get so caught up looking at those little screens all the time they forget there is a life outside of them.” Kane shrugged, yes he knew that Sariah was into technology but he didn’t get the impression she was glued the way some of the people who came in here asking if he had Wifi. The look Kane always gave people was the same, just a sort of F off type look. Which was likely not too great for his business but if they came here it would be for the environment and not get access to more Wifi to stay connected to a digital world.
“I am sure I will become biased as well, and all I ever wear is hiking boots of sorts. I’m always walking around in the woods chopping wood for here, or getting orders and just generally cleaning up.” He smiled and nodded his head “this Saturday sounds great.” Kane was looking forward to going out for a hike it would be a nice change of pace to go out and about with some else and not be so alone as he often was.
Thinking about the spring fling he nodded, he had heard of it since he was supplying some of the alcohol for the event. He wasn’t planning on being there though, just dropping off the booze and leaving to go on more supply runs. Kane was not one for major social events, which seemed a little weird because he was very social when it came to his bar everyone knew him by name. They often spoke of how friendly he was but yet a fancy formal event that was not really his thing.
She laughed, as complicated and serious as her job role was, she had to find a way to let go of it sometimes or she seriously would go insane, you had to have a switch inside of you and when you turned it off, you had to let it go. She had a phone for organization emergencies which she always carried but until it rang, she did her best to keep her mind off work and instead focus on the here and now. Of course, it was often easier said than done but she liked to think she could be a fun person when she wanted to be “Sometimes you just gotta put fun above everything else” she admitted with a smile. Her idea of fun was usually being with people she cared about, while she didn’t have a massive circle of friends, the ones she did have she was very close with and being with them made her feel like she had more energy, she felt brighter and happier just being with them and she was enjoying slowly making more of those kinds of friends.
Riah covered her mouth to stifle the laugh when he was surprised about there being unlimited passes to the movies “Yeah, I guess it encourages people to go see more, cause you’re pre-paying for it” she nodded a little it was a nice idea and having it meant she made more of an effort to get out and see a movie. She had a few friends who also had one so she would meet with them once a month or so and see whatever they felt like on the day. The way he spoke about learning new things made her beam at him a little “I can teach you plenty of little hacks to make your life easier” she commented and then winked really badly “Stick with me” she laughed gently. She wasn’t always glued to her phone, only when work came around, the rest of the time she preferred to watch the world around her, though she could be somewhat introverted at times.
She nodded a little “Well my work kinda calls for heels or otherwise smart shoes but when I’m at home it’s trainers and boots all the way” she laughed softly, she liked to wear comfy clothes but she also liked to be presentable. Her office attired was usually bright colors and patterns, she often got compliments on her style. “Alright, well then give me your number so I can text you the address” she spoke before pulling out the contacts app on her phone and offering it out to him. Today had been pretty successful, she felt like she’d made a new friend and gotten some decent ideas on what to get Orion. Plus she may have found a new place to come sometimes after work when she wanted some peace and quiet.
Kane nodded his head when Sariah said to stick with her and that she would teach him plenty of life hacks “That sounds like a pretty good plan to me Ri.” When the smaller woman offered her phone to him, he punched his number into it and handed it back to her. “I must warn you, I more often than not leave my phone at home. I often forget I have it. I mostly only got it because of Orion and the young ones I am not too fond of having a lot of technology around.” Kane was still trying to keep a low profile to not allow the people of his past to find him. After all, he had escaped his past and not on the best of terms, he was still all these years later, waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak.
He stood up once more “Would you like another drink? Or a bite to eat?” He asked, waiting for her response “You can join me in the kitchen if you would like.” Kane turned and walked off to the kitchen his stomach was growling something fierce, he decided to make some popcorn chicken as well as a poutine with extra cheese curds. While he waited for the food to cook the Kitsune cleaned up the rather small yet efficient kitchen. Turning towards Sariah he offered up a smile.
“Thank you for stopping in today, it is always nice to meet a new face as well as meet my closest friends other half. His better half might I add.” Kane loved Orion and respected him, he could see what Orion saw in this particular woman. Kane was happy to one day call her his friend, he really didn’t have too many of those he would take them whenever he could provided they were good people and Riah seemed like just that. “Do you have any plans for the rest of the day? Did you walk here or drive?” Kane asked, depending on what time she left he didn’t want her walking in this area alone.
Sariah laughed softly when he spoke about only keeping a phone because other people needed him to “That’s okay, my mom is totally hopeless at answering her phone but she still finds time to send pictures of her cooking on occasion” she scrunched up her nose cutely and smiled “As long as you check it once before Saturday, all should be good” she spoke as she took the phone back from him and texted a quick hello to him so that he would have her number in return. Sariah didn’t give out her personal number to many people but she felt like she owed him a shot considering he’d been really helpful in her gift finding quest this evening.
She looked up at him, pushing to her feet when he offered her food or drink but she shook her head to protest but before she even managed to get a word out he had already disappeared into the kitchen. She chuckled softly at the randomness of it but she wouldn’t say no to food if it was put right in front of her, that would be incredibly rude after all and whatever he was preparing actually smelt amazing “I never knew this place did food” she commented, though she didn’t really know a lot to begin with so that wasn’t all that surprising she supposed. She climbed up onto one of the bar stools and leaned herself against the countertop as she let him do his thing.
“Thank you for providing me with some good leads for gift buying” she responded in response to his compliment, giving a slightly shy smile at the compliment “I don’t know, he’s the one with the killer beard so” she snickered softly as she rested her hand against her chin as she watched him busy himself around the bar area, she noted the fact he didn’t seem to stay still for long, always moving or doing something with his hands “I walked” she answered with a light laugh “But don’t worry, my Uber app is well equipped to get me home safe” she took Uber everywhere nowadays, after being followed home by Elijah several months ago, she just preferred not to walk at night anymore “As for plans, PJs, book and maybe a glass of wine sound like a decent plan” she chuckled softly, she did have work in the morning after all but it was nice to meet a friend today, she needed more of those, ones who didn’t just wanna know her because she was an ambassador “Speaking of, I should probably be heading back soon” she spoke sofrly running a hand through her ponytail.
