When he first came to Evermore, he didn’t know much about what the whole city was built upon. He initially thought they were just like any other cities in another side of the world. Where he came from, there weren’t a lot of people like him, at least not out in the open. Not like how it is in Evermore. But after a few months settling in the eternal city, Adriel realized how different it was compared to home. It has only been three months since the initia made the decision to move here with his sister and daughter, yet the flower shop he opened on behalf of his sister, had already gotten a jump in popularity. It seems that a lot of people were big fans of flowers.
“Seems like we’re quite popular nowadays, I didn’t know people in the modern day of the 21st century are big fans of flowers…” the cost to maintain them is not cheap either, it’s quite tedious so he was amazed. Yuna scoffed as she packed the bouquets, “I beg to differ, they order from us because they get to have personal deliveries from you, you know.” Adriel raised his eyebrow knowingly and chuckled “Sure, if that’s what you keep telling yourself. But isn’t that just a selling point? We do have beautiful and one-of-kind types of flowers” The initia took extreme pride to grow these plants, most of them were made from his creation in the first place, making good use of his earth abilities.
“You’re going to send another delivery to the office right?” He hummed softly in return and took a few of them with him as he loaded them up in the truck. He often went to the Organization to make his regular deliveries every week, every Tuesday specifically, and get the chance to see a particular person. He even stopped by the coffee shop nearby to pick up some nice lattes.
Adriel had a light chat with the security guard as he walked in with the flower arrangements. He didn’t even have to search for her, the sight of a blonde ponytail was all too familiar to him. “Good morning Sariah” he quipped with a smile.

It had been a hard couple of years for the human ambassador, she felt as though every high in her life somehow needed to be balanced out by lows, because every time she felt as though things were going well, somehow it would turn around. It was frustrating…it was heartbreaking, but it was life. She didn’t let it bury her in some pit of sadness though. Regardless of what was happening in her personal life, she felt purpose when it came to work, going to the office, figuring out some puzzle, helping her colleagues and making progress, even if it was small, gave her purpose.
Maybe that was why she was always here so early, no time ever really felt like enough time to achieve everything she wanted. And running the organization meant leading by example, she was most often the first person to arrive and leave. She arranged everything she possibly could to make the place more comfortable for everyone who came, drinks were always stocked in the fridge, snacks available for those who forgot to bring lunch. She wanted the sterile environment to feel more lively…welcoming.
Tuesdays were always her favorite day because the deliveries of flowers would arrive, perhaps it seemed trivial but she enjoyed them so much, brightening the place with a new set of colors each time, making the place feel so much brighter…happier. It was perhaps a strange thing to find so much joy in, but she couldn’t help it. When she heard the sound of the flower truck pulling up outside she excitedly got up from her desk, ponytail swishing through the air as she went to greet him.
“Adriel” she greeted him brightly when he arrived, her eyes moving from the handsome dark-haired male to the series of bouquets he had begun unloading already “I’ve been so excited for this one…sunflowers are my absolutely favorite…I can’t believe they’re finally in season” she inspected the bouquets and bit her lip “Tell Yuna she did perfectly…as always” she mumbled softly.
Yuna always asked him why he was so eager to be the one doing the deliveries personally when he is also working at the same time. And every single time, he told her that his work is remote so he had the time to still do other things without it affecting his time allocated for his job. But really, that was just an excuse on his part. Adriel didn’t do all the flower deliveries personally, but he does for when it involves the Organisation and a certain blonde in presence. Only when she’s there to be the one to receive it. It’s the very reason why the initia also had a cup of coffee in his hand as well.
Before he departed, he made sure every flower was as vibrant as the receiver, and he even had a separate bouquet of flowers just for Sariah. He didn’t know when, but Adriel found himself always wanting to make the human ambassador smile. It was nothing too personal, but seeing her smile amidst all the hectic work seemed nice.
When Sariah came down to receive him, he grinned brightly, right, just the person he wanted to see. Before he could offer her the latte in his hand, he could help but to clear his throat and cough in response to her compliment given towards his sister “It’s not from Yuna, these sunflowers specifically are from me” he had to emphasize that he’s the one responsible to nurture all of these flowers personally. It’s important that she knows it.
“And for these-“ He took out a seperate basket for her, filled with sunflowers and a variety of similar ones that could not be found anywhere else because he made them, becoming an earth initia had its perks “-are for you. Specially curated by yours truly.”
