The news of Emily's body being found was one that rocked Rashesh world. He remembered the phone call as if it was yesterday when in reality a year or so had passed since he was to make his return to Evermore. He remembered backing a bag quickly and leaving without a word, not even telling Cora the woman he had grown fond of, even started moving on from Emily with. Yet when Emily's parents called her to explain that her body had been found in Florida.
Rashesh flew down to meet with her parents, it was clear whoever had Emily took their time in killing her. Rashesh gained access to observe the autopsy, yet all answers pointed to a run of the mill so to say serial killer. Nothing supernatural stood out about her death. After her funeral, the finality of how she was no longer alive hit him harder than he expected it too. Coming from an immortal life he felt lost to the storm of his own emotions. He stayed in Florida for a long while trying to settle the estates and everything that came with the loss of Emily. She had left a lot to the star child. More than he felt he deserved.
After time had passed and he was unsure how much time had really passed he made his return to Evermore to the life he had placed on hold. His job understood what had happened and welcomed him back with open arms. His apartment was never a concern as he paid the full lease in advance. Yet with the return, the dust that covered the floor of his home it was clear he left one person behind that may never forgive him for how he left and never got back into contact. He looked at the picture of him and Cora taken on their first date that sat on his shelf covered in dust. “Always a fuck up Rashesh.” He muttered to himself before setting his things down.
He picked up his phone and set a message to Cora, ‘Hey, I know I left without a word. Emily was found, well her body was. If you want to talk more I am home now. I hope you are doing well Cora.’ his finger hovered over send as he knew there was so much more to say but couldn’t bring himself to send it in a text. He wasn’t even sure if she would show up but all he knew is he needed to clean up his apartment and return to some sense of normal.

“Oh shush you” She says shushing him whilst leaning in closer and kissing him to shut from saying or teasing her any more for turning soft around him. Even if it was true. Cora was a different person when she was around Rashesh. Reminding her back of someone whose she’s not been in a long time. Her old self before all the hell she’d been through and back. That she’s able to feel safe and protected. That she can let her guard down and be herself. Not somebody else or the usual cold fronts she puts up to protect herself. There’s only a few people who she truly feels comfortable with. Those are Julian and a few of her siblings now she’s got Rashesh back in her life. All was right in the world for her once again. “And we were both too stubborn to say or admit how we truly felt” she agreed with him. They were both stubborn as each other. Cora knew that he wasn’t scared of the darkness, that he was used to it by now. It was part of her. Part of who she was. “All of the good and all of the ugly” Cora knew she didn’t have to face all of her problems by herself now with Rashesh at her side.
Soon as she mentioned Julian, Cora could sense a bit of jealousy from the Celestial, making her laugh a little seeing how was reacting to it. “Don’t be jealous, he's just a friend. It’s all platonic. He’s like a gay best friend except the part where he’s not gay but still” Reassuring him that there was nothing going on he didn’t have to worry about Julian. “A couple years back me and Julian met when he was stationed in Siberia for training. He saved me from some thugs then realised I can handle things myself. Then we kind of hit it off and became close friends. He knows me better than anyone” She smiled remembering back to when she and Julian first met, how much she valued their friendship. “He’s a Nephilim. He’s more of a book nerd to a comic, film and tv nerd” Trying to say what her friend was like before saying what might be difficult at first. “He knows everything… He did say he might drop you off the Empire State Building if he was to meet you” The Aspect spoke nonchalantly waiting to watch as the Celestials eyes widened. “Don’t worry he’ll just interage you then get over it” Reassuring him that he didn't have to worry much. That's what she hopes.
One of the things she’d never been good at was communicating. Being the one to keep things to herself and bottle them up until it was too late. And she’d just break. “It’ll all be a working progress to start off” Nodding her head agreeing with him how they gotta work at communitating. Compromising was the start of it. Cora could see how excited he was for them to watch tv shows and films, seeing how much of a big kid he was. Too it was a way they always spent quality time together, this time around there would be a bit more cuddling. “I’ll leave you to make up the list. There’s already some stuff you know will be already a no from me” Letting and leaving him to make up the list knowing he’d enjoy doing it. She only hopes that there won’t be too many nerdy things but knowing about him she wasn't too sure. “Good!” A mischievous spark glinted in her eyes as she teased him about what plans she had for him in the bedroom. Knowing of his weakness and buttons to push.
“I agree” She smiled softly nodding her head listening to him when it came to her family finding out about them. Still she never understood how Malva was allowed a tiger. “Aurues wouldn’t let me have onem unfair really” Sulking a little remembering how she was told no. “Dawn is a little terror” Pre-warning him for what he was getting into.
It was cute seeing a sense of jealousy coming from him. Julian was someone who he wouldn’t have to worry about. They were and always would be friends nothing more, let's just say that the Nephilm was quick to shut her down from anything romantic straight away. There’s been a few things she wasn’t proud of since being apart. It was no secret that the Aspect didn’t take him leaving so lightly. Always taking things to heart. Then lashing out at others and then to herself. There were some things that she did that she wasn’t proud of. Not wanting to spoil and ruin the happy moment. Leaving till another time to open up and tell him about her downward spiral and picking back up old habbits. As he corrected her she gave him a blank look. “You do know I’m old right?” An easy excuse so he didn’t win. The Asepct rolled her eyes to his teasing to find everything about her. “I see what you're playing about but no” Quickly shutting his idea down. “He’s not as nerdy as you” To say the least. Never before meeting someone who was obsessed with games, tv shows and films as he was. “I was always more attracted to the bad boys. You are one of a kind exception” She mused softly, empasising it. As they say the opposite attracts, why how it was for them.
She was a little bit stubborn to say the least when it came to his shows and films with how they are something she wouldn’t normally turn to. Yet she knew they had to work and put their differences aside and make compromises. Slowly Cora nodded her head agreeing to his idea. Knowing it’ll make him happy, sure that he’ll have fun creating the different charts and spreadsheets knowing how much he enjoys stuff like that. “Finee, I’ll try to watch them for you” Wanting to be a supportive girlfriend. It was a lilttle bit weird to think now they were official and all. One night stands turned into a fling that eventually turned into something more. Cora raised a brow to his other idea. “Hmm so you're saying instead we could Netflix and chill” She teased softly winking to the celestial letting him know how she’s able to distract him. “And her aunts and uncles too” The poor pup being raised by the Aspects. As they pulled into the car garage Shelley stood out of the rest to say the least but she couldn’t exactly leave her in the driveway. “She’ll be fine” Reassuring him with a huff pulling him away from his beloved car before he could change his mind.
Sometimes she forgot how the manor took strangers by surprise. It was all grand and huge but it was home. It’s come a long way other than the years becoming more homely now rather than just the original base for operations. Still they all preferred the Isle of Skye but it was no more. “My… I mean Our room is next to Erytherus’s just to warn you” Quickly correcting herself not used to living with someone for so long. “Our rooms are our safe space” It wasn’t rare for some of them to spend most of the time locked away inside. Finding it comforting. How they're able to find balance with each of their Aspects “It’s a bit of a mess” Pre Warning him for what he’s in for, letting him into their room. As they walked in she could see he was glowing a little with how dark the room was. A little night light. Something she might tease him for. “There’s some windows somewhere” Forgetting how she’d last left her room, preferring to be in total darkness. It was a bad habit.
And then it was only them. Nothing else mattered. Cora missed him, missed it all. She couldn’t resist quickly pulling his shirt off then to unbuckle his trousers. Not wasting any time. Skin against skin and when there was nothing more between them at all she kissed him, deeply giving him everything she had. They had a lot of catching up to do in all areas.
Back then before she was the other woman. Although Emily was a missing person. Rahsesh’s attention weren’t fully focused on her that he would be thinking of Emily. That's why he couldn’t fully open his heart hoping that she would come back yet she didn’t. A part of her was jealous. Knowing that the Celestial wasn’t all hers that she was sharing him with another woman. It hurt her more when he left. Thinking and believing that he’d choose her first but at the time she’d always known that she was second. Neither of them had opened up to their true feelings. They were both to blame. Now Cora has Rashesh back in her life and he was hers, she wasn’t going to let go. She was sure that it was the same for him. “You don’t have to worry” Reassuring him once again. Yet as an Aspect they always had a target on their back. It is what came to be being one of the most powerful beings in the world, holding and keeping the balance. “I never thought that I would fall for a nerdy guy but here I am” Shooting him a teasing wink.. Her usual type of guys were bad boys but who she could have wrapped around her finger but at the same time never treated her right.. Yet now here she was.
“You do like your gadgets” She mused softly, reminding her of many guards who wanted the newest and latest gadgets. Like other Aspects she was more of the old fashioned type except when it comes to fashion. That she loves to wear clothes that show off her curves and hug in all the right areas. They were already making compromises. Both wanted for this to work. “That sounds like a good idea, there’s only so many of your nerdy shows I will be able to take without some breaks” Not wanting to go stir crazy. “I may or may not have binged like 19 seasons of grey's anatomy. I could always rewatch” To let him go through the torture that is grey's anatomy. For each death, tragedy or heartbreak she’d be watching his reaction. It’ll be her own little bit of payback. “There’s always a start for something” Now this time she’d have his full attention. To explore each other physically and emotionally now there was nothing stopping them this time.
By now she was oblivious to the way that the manor works. Malva’s powers had it mostly to thanks. Saving them a ton of money. “ Just stay out of other rooms. Especially those of Aspects then Malva’s own place” Giving him the usual pre-warning if he wanted to stay alive when living here. “I don’t like to clean or organise” Going down her downward spiral, she’d not been taking care of herself, her room had to show too. “Good thing I have my own personal night light” Shooting him a teasing smile. Looking over to him she could see how he was already glowing that he wasn’t able to help it but it was comforting. She was eager for their bodies to intertwine. Missing all of it. Missing every gentle and caressing touch. Taking the lead to see how bright she’d make him glow today for her.
