It hadn’t escaped the wayfinder’s notice that the celestials both in the castle and outside of it were under experienced. She couldn’t blame them for that considering everything that had gone through, she couldn’t even begin to understand the fear or anger they must feel when they think about the 100 years they had been trapped. She had been one of the only stars to never experience that treatment and she did her best not to downplay it.

Truthfully she did feel like it was her fault, she was the one who had told them they could trust in the Ailward and in the end it was her word that had been broken and it was her people who paid the price. That was why she had always been so relentless on her quest to save them all, she couldn’t live with the fact that she had caused it any other way. It had made her obsessive and at times ruthless when it came for what was best for her colony. And Ophelia still doubted herself even now, she didn’t think she was an especially good leader, every decision she seemed to make ended up spitting in her face. But it wasn’t like she could quit either, she was the wayfinder, it was her supernatural duty to do this.

The thing that made her saddest however, was seeing there be stars that were afraid to shine, afraid to be who they were at their core. There were several members of the faction who had never used their celestial energy and she intended to change that, she was probably the most experienced celestial there was when it came to energy control. So she had sent out word to each of them, offered to train them so to speak. The raven-haired female didn’t expect them all to take her up on it, she knew there was a certain amount of fear you had to face.

But the mirrored room she’d had built in the castle, it was a start. Ophelia was dressed in workout gear, leggings and a sports bra paired with a loose sweater she wore over the top to keep her warm thanks to how chilly this room seemed to get. She was standing in the center of the room and she could see herself in every direction. The beauty of a mirrored room was that it reflected the light celestial energy caused, bouncing it around and preventing it from becoming visible through the walls. It was a safe space.

After about 10 minutes, however, it became evident that she hadn’t been able to convince anyone in the castle to change their minds on facing their fears. Ophelia sighed softly, it frustrated her no end to see people afraid of what they were. Closing her eyes the wayfinder tapped into that part of her which controlled her celestial energy and a bright ball appeared around her. She stepped to the side and it moved with her, she manipulated its shape and direction and smiled, she felt most herself when she was doing this, shining as a star should.

She hadn’t heard the footsteps enter the room until someone cleared their throat and she quickly retracted the light back inside of her as she turned around to see who was standing in the doorway.

Once upon a time ago, Han would’ve loved it when someone tells him it was fine to have hope. Now? Not much has changed, that was one thing for sure, but at least he knows the way he perceives his own life from now on will influence his future choices. When Ophelia mentioned how powerful and handy the celestial energy was, Han found himself nodding in affirmation, “Yes, of course, it could be very handy given the circumstances. Especially when you are able to project and wield it properly. I think I still have a long road to go there, I’m nowhere near used to it, much less experienced” he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, a grin matching his very own expression to display how bashful the Celestial was being. Hanseol wasn’t sure if he agreed or lean more toward the lone or individual faction rules taking place, it wasn’t as if them stars actually committed any crime anyway, it wasn’t something the doe-eyed fallen star needed to fill his head with worry, but to ensure the proper justice is served, that’s another idea entirely.

“I imagine plenty would oppose it, of course. In a way, some like the idea of being conformed to their ways better than the general one where everyone will have a say in it. In a way, it preserves them… their reputation perhaps, from not being painted in a lesser light” he shrugged absentmindedly, he never gave much thought in it because it never bothered him. The people who had nothing else to lose as the Wayfinder phrased it, scared the living daylights out of him. Those people are known for their reckless and unpredictable ways and had every reason to do so. But what matters was never the general or public opinion of another. Not to them. Han couldn’t say he cared much for it either, but he’s not about to push it away as easily as they said. “I’ve never ridden a horse before, certainly never rode a carriage either” he chuckled, he would love to ride one someday, he was sure they had plenty of horses offered for service, “But then again, I guess it’s not exactly surprising seeing as I’m young compared to the lot of you, I wasn’t born a few centuries ago, only about 90 years ago, the 1930s.”

It didn’t give him good memories, unfortunately, seeing as the Korean War was waging quite actively then and plenty were conscripted as soldiers about 20 years later, but then again he supposed he wouldn’t know much about that too seeing as he spent every single day of his life after 3 years on the ground inside a metal cage. “We should go horseback-riding sometime later” he suggested, he was eager to spend more time with Ophelia, more so because he could find a good company inside the raven-haired beauty, she was interesting and compassionate yet so driven and headstrong, those qualities Han can see right inside her and one he can respect very well. The moment she inquired about his phobia on small spaces, however, did cause him to go down a silent road, it wasn’t something he liked talking about, even with his boyfriend, Han never really did delve much into it, he would rather forget about it entirely honestly.

“Before we were taken by the guards… I still spent my entire life running away from hunters alike. I traveled the world having to run away from them. And since I have this… inability to hurt or maim others despite them doing the same, I usually get hurt myself and most of those times after they knocked me out, they would often lock me in. I guess you can say the spaces were nowhere near pleasant as well. Once I escaped, I had to keep hiding so small spaces became my friend… or enemy.” His tone was timid and small, it felt like the whole world was trying to swallow him without leaving any part of him available for others to see. The idea of rushing the peace treaty contract wasn’t exactly ideal in his head, but they needed it, they’re quite possibly the most vulnerable species in the world. “I don’t want you to rush anything but we do need the protection, unfortunately” he had a small sad smile, he didn’t want to be a victim of being attacked again. Talking about doing happy things, that’s one thing he wanted everyone to get the chance to do.

That’s a good deal to give, it made him grin in delight, “Good. Because I’m going to hold you to it. Don’t forget” he wagged his index finger in front of Phe playfully and felt his eyes forming a crescent shape since he was smiling widely. A shy blush crept up his cheeks when she said he was cute, prompting the star to put both his hands on his cheeks to cover it up, “I’m a tomato.” Han noticed he had always been so enthusiastic when he was talking about his lover, but then he wouldn’t be surprised seeing as it is his boyfriend he’s talking about, no wonder he would act that way, “He is. It’s a cliche story you can find in any book I guess… I was drawing a puppy in the dark because well, our eyesight is a 10/10 and he tripped on me. He saved me from the attack and… things just happened” The grin on his face was so bright he was sure his glow grew up significantly. He knew being compassionate wasn’t a bad thing, but he couldn’t stop thinking about it at all, it bothered him, bombarding his head with endless how, why and ifs.

“I would love to learn how to outwit them without causing any actual harm to them… I don’t think I can do anything about it but if you would like to teach me those ways, I would be delighted to learn about it” he nodded his head with enthusiasm and excitement that clearly showed he was determined to protect both himself and the people he cared deeply for. “He’s a handsome lad…” he hummed, he could picture every feature on his face even by imagining it, he was so deep for Jae, he knew that and so does everyone. “Yes please,” he quipped and headed over toward her before perching his arms on the kitchen counter, staring straight at the Wayfinder, his hand pulling the mug close to him before taking a sip, “Yes, I do. Sometimes. I like to eat so I guess that’s actually a given, I don’t have anyone else to take care of me before my boyfriend who is still studying in university, a grown man like myself who is already working should know how to take care of myself, no?”

His eyes lit up in excitement when she said she didn’t have a lot of luck when it comes to baking, “I can teach you if you want. Baking is more of my specialty when it comes to cooking, but I get you, the oven can be quite confusing sometimes” Especially when you don’t know the exact model of it and how to navigate your way around one. “We can go and just hang out, Phe. Go watch a movie at the cinema, visiting an exhibition, shopping… plenty of things to do” he shrugged, he was slowly making a list as time goes by, mostly things he wanted to do with Jae. “It’s okay to feel lost, I guess that reminds you that you are still able to be influenced. So I’ll influence you with good things then. It’s a start.”

She was glad that she could win him over a little when it came to his mindset on using celestial energy, it wasn’t easy, she knew that and it certainly wasn’t going to be something that changed overnight either but hearing him say it was more than enough for now “No, that comes with time and practice, but feeling the right way about your powers is the right place to start” she had never been afraid of hers and people were wary of her because of it, they knew she had her energy under control and wouldn’t hesitate to use it if necessary. His thoughts on how the other factions in the city ran things matched her own, it was true, everyone had their own way and no one wanted it to change right now, they wanted to stay where they were, everyone feared what was new but she believed in the idea of an equality been supernatural never seen before “Yeah you’re right, some people are just stuck in their ways, but staying stagnant isn’t an option in an ever-changing landscape, you just get left behind” and the future was coming much faster than anyone seemed to think.

She widened her eyes a little when he mentioned that he’d never ridden a horse before, shaking her head a little because she had so many good memories tied to horses from when she was younger, she’d just always loved riding, it was her little escape from the world, riding a horse for a few hours and just thinking “We absolutely should” she exclaimed with a bright smile “it’s been so long since I went riding it but just thinking about it I can feel the wind in my hair like it was yesterday” she nodded a little, it was something she had been taught by the family that took her in when she fell so it always reminded her of her roots “There’s probably a few ranches out in the open space on the outskirts of the city right?” she imagined so considering the earth Initia lived out there and they had unique connections with the animals, she’d seen it for herself before.

She knew she was asking a lot when she askied him about his fears and she could see the hesitation in his face as he deliberated how to answer her questions, she placed her hands in her lap and waited patiently for him to say what he wanted to say, she would never make people talk about the things they found hard but she did feel like she could help them a little if she knew, considering she had a lot of her own fears she had to face and she had also seen her fair share of running and never feeling like she truly belonged. “I know the latter well, hiding was so ingrained into my brain for so long that when we came here, I almost forgot that it was okay to go outside, to enjoy the sunshine from the garden or go to the grocery store” she nodded her head slightly and gave him a sympathetic gaze “You’re brave, feeling the fear and yet sometimes managing to do it anyway” and the times when he couldn’t? She understood those too. “You’re right, we do need the protection and one way or another I will get it, that’s a promise” she spoke softly and curtly nodded her head.

Seeing the way he blushed when she told him he was cute made her scrunch up her nose a little, he was sweet and thoughtful and incredibly humble and she really liked the person he was in spite of everything he had been through “That’s okay, tomatoes are still sweet” she teased with a laugh and nudged against his shoulder gently but then she quieted as she listened to him talk about the story of him and his boyfriend, she could see the way Han’s natural celestial glow just got brighter and brighter the more he spoke about him and she wasn’t even sure he noticed, she pressed her lips together feeling herself tear up a little from happiness that he’d found something so pure “He saved you?” she spoke softly and smiled “Sounds like a keeper, protecting you so early on” she liked how natural it all sounded, the two of them just happening rather than a forced awkward date or anything of the sort.

“You can do that” she responded to him with a nod of her head, now she understood where he was at and how he felt about the people attacking him she was sure she could find a way to advise him how to best use his powers to keep himself safe but also uphold these morals which were clearly very important to him “We can do that, it’ll take time and a lot of training but eventually, you’ll be able to fend people off without needing to cause any pain” she liked his enthusiasm, it was like a switch inside him seemed to have been flipped on and suddenly you could see way more than the timid young celestial she knew before today. “So are you” she responded lightheartedly at his comments about his boyfriend’s looks “Bet you look adorable together, you got any photos?” she was a little like a proud mother she supposed, always wanting to see the stars being happy, sharing in the things that made them feel that way.

“Frankly, I’ve not heard many men say that” she commented with a slight laugh an amused shake of her head “but it’s definitely admirable, you wanting to get by on your own” she paused “Or I mean you are getting by on your own” she nodded a little “I’m a little jealous that I can’t do the same” she admitted with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. When he mentioned he liked baking she smiled brightly “That would actually be amazing, I’m so horrible at it and Artemis keeps teasing me for it” she admitted with a laugh, she didn’t have any shame in asking someone else for help, she was helping them in some form in return after all. She gave a slightly nervous laugh when he listed out normal things people went out and did with friends “Other than going to the grocery store for food, I’ve never actually done any of those” she admitted with a laugh “Never had the time I guess...or anyone to go with” which sounded ridiculous considering she had a lot of friends but most of her time was spent being serious and working, there was little time for much else.

Han knew he wasn't exactly easy to be won over, under certain circumstances when it required him to put his trust and faith in front on some pedestal. He didn't believe some things can be done just because you spoke it out in the existence. Words are nothing compared to actions, after all. There was a reason why the saying 'actions tend to speak louder than words' existed in the first place. However, when it comes to talking about fate and destiny, now that is something the Celestial can get on board with. For some reason. So far, Ophelia's explanation on how their celestial energy worked and how it could be tapped into, had Han hearing every single bit of the details. Truthfully, Hanseol wasn't as excited or enthusiastic as he is right now, a few hours ago. When he came here, he expected nothing much other than to finally come face to face with their infamous Wayfinder. "You know, I was so skeptical to come today but I'm glad I didn't let it get to me and came because I managed to make a new friend" in an instance, Han pointed his index finger towards Ophelia in a playful manner, with a cheshire-like grin.

"We can't afford to really fall behind other people's tails, can we?" he murmured faintly, it was at these times that his timidness jumped out. He grew afraid to use his abilities thinking it would only do more harm than good, and that was the way of living for him for the past decades, living mundanely as any mundane could. The talk regarding their species as a whole made Han slightly more interested than before, especially coming from Ophelia herself but he saw the hint of loneliness embedded in her heart, and for someone who has always been expressive with what he felt, Han felt compelled to get rid of that. If he could help, then he would, hence the horseback riding idea. The way she lit up in delight prompted the doe-eyed Celestial to give the same look back, the bright smile gracing her lips was a good look on her, it made the raven-haired beauty live up to her name "I guess I shouldn't say I've never done that because of my busy schedule but the horses...they do freak me out a bit."

He bit his bottom and tried to hide his sheepish grin while awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck, "I know it seemed absurd for a vet to be scared of… animals but what if it got into a series of shock and pushed me off his back? Wouldn't I break my bones upon hitting the ground?" Though he knew there was a ranch on the outskirts of the city, they actually had a license and it was easy to check by, "Yeah, some guy own it, I haven't been there because… well… horses." Talking about their fears sent a nostalgic lightning to Han, it felt just like yesterday when he had to escape the hunters and hide under a bridge or in between some boxes by the docks ready for next morning cargo, his life right now is so much more blissful than what he had. And now he actually have someone to share it with. "How did you get over it? Sorry… you probably didn't… but how did you even find a way to run past it? I remember locking up the clinic and almost looking at every corner and alley I pass by because someone...could be hiding there for all I know" It was the reason why Hanseol could be quite the paranoid soul.

Han decided not to say anything further regarding the peace treaty contract. It was a big pressure on her and he wanted to pull her away from that veil into a world of his own, so they'll be able to have fun together. He could see the faint tired look shrouding Phe, and he hated to see how normal it was. Had misery became something normal? "T-tomatoes are sweet? No they're not…" he scrunched his nose, this time in distaste, Hanseol may have been a big eater who would swallow quite possibly everything on the said table but tomatoes are just a no for him. "I feel silly fanboying to you about him, not gonna lie… I mean admittedly I'm very biased when it comes to him, I'll introduce him to you one day" he fiddled with his fingers nervously and felt a sudden overwhelming sense of shyness washing over him, "But yes, he's a keeper. I got myself a really precious and out of the world kind. I can't think of a world without him now, I want to live forever with him…" Perhaps it was morbid but despite unlocking more of his individuality, Han couldn't picture himself living in a world without Jae.

"Just tell me when and where, I'll be there, Phe." His eyes alone clearly showed how excited he was to look forward to that, he didn't wish to be so defenseless anymore, it only made him worry over the safety of his loved ones having to protect him 24/7. The usual faint red hue that settled on his cheeks made a comeback when Phe suddenly complimented him, even his ears were turning red, which he was quick to replace the awkward situation of dealing with someone calling him attractive or handsome by fishing out his phone and scrolled the gallery, he placed all their photos in one folder named 'Hansung'. Call him cheesy but that's his boyfriend right there. He pushed it towards her and covered his ears with his hands because of how red it was.

There was going to be a few changes around and they don't necessarily have to be bad. "It definitely required efforts… but if I want it bad enough, anything is possible right?" His eyes went straight to the oven and smirked, "So long as you don't end up burning yourself, Phe. You might wanna keep those dresses away when you step in the kitchen, it looks way too pretty to be burned" the intricacy on every embellishment on the dress did not escape his attention, "Are those custom-made? Did you make it yourself? The way it's sewn… seemed like handwork." He finished his cup of coffee soon enough and leaned forward with a pout jutting out, "Come with me then. I'm here for you. Ask me out." Okay, maybe not the best choice of words.

When he spoke words about being scared to come today she gave him an empathetic smile “If it makes you feel any better I was a little scared no one was even going to come” she admitted with a half-smile but then grinned when he said he made a new friend “But me too, who wouldn’t enjoy getting to know that there’s more to this timid seeming celestial than meets the eye” she pointed back at him in the same playful manner he did her. “Unfortunately not” she responded when he mentioned her wariness of falling behind “I fear letting our guard down at any point might put us back where we started” she admitted and pressed her lips together “I don’t mean to scare you with that knowledge but I’m not the type to want to give out false hope” she admitted with a grimace. Ophelia wanted to believe that the world could do better and they were moving towards a time where everyone understood better but the cynical part of her would always doubt people’s intentions when it came to her faction.

She had to admit she was a little surprised to hear him say he was a little afraid of horses and she widened her eyes a little before shrugging “Well they are a lot bigger than us so I guess I could see the reasons why, but I was always raised alongside them so I guess I developed a certain level of trust” she nodded a little “Falling off a horse very rarely results in any serious injury and even then it’s not usually the fall itself” she explained and cleared her throat “Maybe I’m just a little biased” she commented with a laugh, she was happy to hear there was a ranch she could go to though, maybe a good long ride on the back of a horse was exactly what she needed to clear her head. His words about coping with the life on the run made her go quiet for a moment “I don’t think anyone really gets over it, it’s an unfair reality and there is always going to be a part of me that resents that” she spoke it firmly and shrugged “But I also realized that this is bigger than just me, I always have this little voice inside my head that tells me what I should do, I try to listen to it” she smiled gently at him “And I put my fate in the hands of the stars and believe in the abilities they gave me” probably sounded a little cheesy but every coping method seemed to be a little cheesy.

“Yes they absolutely are” she countered his words though it became evident quickly that he didn’t like the taste of them “Maybe not the ones you buy from your average store but the ones I tried directly off the vine of a vineyard near Madrid, she licked her lips just from the memory. She had to stop herself from laughing out loud when Han said the word ‘fanboying’ she had never heard someone say that before though she could guess what it meant “Oh come on, if you can’t talk up the most important people in your life to a friend then what’s the point?” she quirked a brow, she was more than happy to listen, she kind loved the idea of love, even if she didn’t see it in the cards for herself. Her expression softened at the way he described their relationship and the way he felt about him, it made her heart beat a little quicker in her chest just from the way it made her feel “And does he feel the same about you?” she assumed from how happy he seemed that he did.

“Okay” she responded as she looked over the phone which he placed in front of her, she leaned in close to look at it, her eyes scanning over the word at the top which made her smile “Did you mash your two names together? How sweet” she commented before taking in the photos and flicking through a few of them, they seemed very smiley and happy, Hanseol with his usual doe-eyed gaze in nearly every one of them and then the other male who always seemed to have a protective hold over the celestial and looked kind “Awh, you guys make such a sweet couple” she spoke softly “Guessing he’s a little camera shy from the way he keeps hiding his face in most of these” she teased a little as she pushed it back over the table to him.

“Exactly that, nothing ever comes easy in this world, you have to work your ass off for it” she had learned that pretty quickly, she never relied on luck in her travels, she had to be smart and cunning and adapt herself to every situation she found herself in, she became good at lying and evading to help her keep the cover she needed and keep the hunters at bay “Yeah you’re right, I love them but they’re really not practical for well...modern life in general” she laughed “Maybe I should start saving them for special occasions” she glanced down at the dress she was wearing and nodded “One of the main skills I kept throughout my many years, I wanted to be able to make my own clothes in case I needed disguises, plus it’s fun” she shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.

When he said to ask him out she giggled a little and smiled “Okay, then how about bowling?” she asked with raised brows “I’ve heard much about it but never actually tried it, maybe you can teach me?” it seemed silly but the Wayfinder liked enjoying all these mundane things she never actually got to experience.

So he wasn’t the only party who felt a bit nervous and put off by the fact that the attendance there matters. “I was afraid that when I came here, nobody would be here and well, I didn’t know you as well so…” Fiddling his fingers and grinning sheepishly towards her, he cleared his throat and tried to play it off as if it was nothing but paranoia. Honestly, it felt like one for sure. A small blush crept up to settle in both his cheeks when she pointed out that there was more of him than just the ‘timid’ bunny-like Celestial most people knew him to be, that is if they even knew of his existence. Hanseol did manage to keep a rather low-profiled and silent life so it wasn’t surprising to see people see him be someone unknown. It’s not as if he minded all of that either. “Well, I’m glad you find me interesting and more than just this ‘timid’ guy, Phe.” Still doesn’t change the fact that he is, as a matter of fact, quite timid, in nature.

“It’s fine… it’s better to give me the bitter and harsh truth rather than sugar-coating unnecessary things. I prefer the truth. I don’t want to live the rest of my days floating over cotton clouds just because I think that’s my truth and reality” he reassured, perhaps he is scared and he acknowledged that, but it’s fine to be afraid, right? “I don’t prefer to hear this, for sure… but it’s better than lying to myself only to feel disappointed when I did not achieve what I came here to do because I’d hope for too much.” At least, that’s how he sees it. The Celestials weren’t exactly a faction that could afford to live in such a luxurious life without having to look over their backs every once in a while because they fear the worst and the predators may come after them. He understood that sentiment and maybe, just maybe, he could live with it. For now. At least, until they reached a consensus, a mutual agreement to strike.

“I love animals, I mean I’m a vet so I think that’s pretty much a given fact but I can’t stop gawking at big animals though, ones that are definitely twice the size of us. Horses… elephants…” Weirdly enough, Han does develop an affinity to felines such as tigers and lions though. Who knows what goes inside his head. “Tigers are cool though… they’re fiercely beautiful.” Or maybe he just likes them because the ones held in the reservation center reminded him so much of Jae, one particular cat. “One of them reminded me of my boyfriend I actually named it after him…” It was only then he realized he hasn’t been to the center this month yet. “People are always biased, that’s just… what do they call it? Human nature?” Truthfully, Han was still getting used to all those quotes and sayings of the old days. It was so interesting to get a grasp around them. The fallen star tilted his head over to face her in awe, “You follow your instincts? So well? Have you never questioned it before? I assume it couldn’t have told you all only good things either, right? I mean… mine doesn’t. Even then I still try to follow it given the best circumstances.”

One time, he did refuse to listen when his instincts kicked in and told him to just maim his attacker during his attack for the sake of preserving his own life yet Han couldn’t do it. Of course, that got him a few injuries and bruises. Nothing major but Jae could’ve gotten hurt even worse if it was prolonged. “Put your fate in the hands of the stars… sounds poetic” he quipped humorously with a small smile. “Madrid? As in Spain?” Of course, vineyards much like those grew well in other continents, definitely not here. “Maybe one day I’ll find myself there and finally get the chance of testing one.” The idea of going to Spain for a vacation getaway does sound pretty convincing for the fallen star, an idea he’ll have to pitch over to Jae soon. Though knowing the latter, he would try to worm his way out because it would cost quite the expense.

When asked whether Jae felt the same for him, Hanseol shrugged shyly and grinned bashfully, “He tells me he does. I’d like to believe that with all my heart because honestly, I can feel the sincerity dripping in every word he says” he shot her a playful look, “But who knows, maybe I’m biased.” His doe eyes never left her as he pushed the phone to her side, mulling over the fact that he is lucky in that sense. He had him. “Yeah, he’s a little camera shy. He only took those photos because I wanted to keep them for memory.” Han gave her a reassuring smile and eyed the intricacy in her dresses, they were striking and unique, even he could see that. “Maybe you should, it is pretty. Make your own clothes though, teach me sometime later, why won’t you” he giggled, “In return, I can teach you something I’m good at.”

Thankfully bowling is one of the sports he actually got himself into over 2 years ago, it was fun. “Oh definitely, there’s a bowling alley in the city, we can go there on the weekends if you want. I would offer weekdays but I’ll be working” Unfortunate but unavoidable.

She gave him a slightly sad smile when he commented on the way he saw himself “I think you should give yourself more credit than that, just because you’re a little quiet doesn’t make you any less of a person” she assured it with a nod of her head, she didn’t care what a person’s nature was as long as they were a seemingly good and kind person. “I’m trying to build us a picture of a real-life here and that means being realistic about what we can hope for” she nodded slightly “We’re never going to be 100% safe and there are always going to be threats out there, what will change is how we handle them and the impact it has on our lives” with stricter rules, her amulet back and a city full of people who looked out for one another, they were in a much better place than they ever were before. She just needed to secure all of those things, something she was working hard to do.

She beamed when he said he liked animals because she felt like you could tell a lot about a person by the way they were with animals and someone who made their entire life about taking care of them was definitely in her good books “It’s pretty spectacular to see the variety that’s for sure” she commented it with a thoughtful nod of her head, some animals she had seen her time had been almost stunning to see for herself. “Can’t say I’ve ever seen a tiger in person but I’m pretty sure one is more likely to kill you than a horse” she laughed gently “Did you tell him that you named a tiger after him?” she arched a curious brow, that was an awful strange dedication but she didn’t know his boyfriend so it might be the greatest compliment for all she knew. She shrugged her shoulders when he spoke about being biased “I guess so, we aren’t soulless, it’s hard for us to make the decision we know is right if something else weighs on our mind”.

“If I questioned these strange whims every time I think I could actually get lost in my mind” she admitted with a slightly shy laugh “As the Wayfinder I always feel like the decisions I make are more than me, that someone up there” she pointed out towards the sky in the window “Is helping me make them, as crazy as it might sound.” she nodded slightly “It won’t always seem right at the time, it might be a painful choice or one which hurts people but in the end, things always seem to come full circle” which was her way of answering that, yes, it did tell her bad things too, or things that could be perceived as bad anyway. His comment on her line made her laugh and roll her shoulders back “It is pretty poetic indeed” she returned his smile “Kinda beautiful too, knowing you’re part of something so much bigger” she nodded, that was how she found peace with what she was, but accepting that it was part of some bigger picture she didn’t know right now.

She nodded when he asked her to clarify where she meant “I really hope everyone here has the chance to travel for the fun of traveling, it’s certainly something I intend to do in time” when it wasn’t quite so pressing for her to be here and take care of the colony. If that day ever came. Evermore was their base, the place she would always come back to for as long as life allowed her but she definitely longed to live her life and figure out if there was more to it. She was immortal after all. “London is the one that’s always special in my heart as it was where I fell” she admitted as she glanced up at him, pretty much everyone knew she was English as she never lost the accent.

Han seemed really bashful when it came to talking about his relationship but she could tell it meant a lot to him and was probably one of the first really good things he had in his life, she could hope his Volakiri whom she had set up for him to meet would be another. “Well that’s always a good sign, sounds like you should hold onto him tightly” it made her heart ache a little because her experience with love wasn’t a pretty story and pretty much everything ended in heartbreak for her. She really hoped he never had to experience that “I think everyone’s a little biased when it comes to their feelings” she commented and winked “Does he know what you are?” that was definitely a key step to take “That’s really sweet” she commented as she scrolled through the photos seeing how the other male always seemed to be looking at Han rather than the camera, it was cute “Keep every memory you can, they’re incredibly precious” and the important ones stuck with you for a very long time.

When he asked her to teach him how to make clothes she laughed and nodded “Maybe once I’ve had some time to get back into the practice, it’s been a while since I did any tailoring” she had worked in a tailor shop for a while when she was on the run and it had been a very enjoyable experience for her, getting to help ensure the outfits were perfectly fitting but she’d always had this idea of making her own designs and bringing them to life. “Bowling it is then” she spoke brightly and nodded “Weekend, then how about not this weekend but the one after, maybe Saturday? We can play the game and maybe get some food” she grinned “Can always bring some others along if you’d like” maybe he’d wanna bring his boyfriend or they might be able to tempt some of the other celestials to come with them.

Han wasn’t all used to compliments, in general, so receiving one from someone such as Ophelia, it means a lot to him. Far more than what he showed, for sure. “I know it doesn’t… but I don’t think much of myself, in the first place, so it doesn’t bother me” he mustered up a small smile but it wasn’t a faked one either, he knew where he stood and he really didn’t care what others thought of him, but it would impact him a lot if those people are the ones he cared deeply for. "That's a good start for things, Phe" he pointed out when she said she was planning for them to open a new chapter here where they could finally settle down peacefully without having to look on their back and sprint for their lives. The rules here had kept the eternal city standing for a while, it should be keeping them firm and strong for more years to come. Hopefully, nothing will jeopardize that while they were still there.

"With the rules and supervision in this city, I think it's very likely for us to be extra safe… maybe not forever… but safer, for sure. We can only hope for the best and strive for it" he smiled sadly, that seemed to be the reality of things for the Celestials but Han is willing to get through it if it meant he would still be given the chance to further his future here with his loved ones. When she said a tiger would be more likely to kill you than a horse, Han blushed briefly because that was the truth, how could he be fond of big carnivorous felines such as that and still be afraid of a horse? "But they're cute" he murmured shyly, eyes darting up to meet her own warm orbs when she asked if the dhampir knew he had named a tiger after him, "Not yet, but I'll let him know soon enough" he grinned sheepishly, probably best for him to break it slowly, god knows if the latter ends up having a heart attack on the spot. The Wayfinder had her way with words, somehow it felt lighter and wiser when it was from her tongue, but then again Han hasn't been around long enough to hear those motivational talks. He never did have the time to do that.

His eyes followed her finger when she pointed out the window, parting his lips slightly in awe regarding her words, "Must be some kind of a higher power, for sure" he grinned, he hoped that they also have things in store for him too. Hopefully, the good ones. He likes the life he's leading now and the last thing the fallen star wanted to do is to give it all up because he couldn't keep it. "Things can't be all rainbows and fluff, I get it" he nodded gently, of course, he understood that. It was hard to accept it, maybe. But what other choice were they given? "I'm just glad that we're at least together now… being alone sucks. It doesn't hurt as much when you have people to lean onto, thank you for giving us that" Han had been immensely grateful to Ophelia ever since he found out about her. Slowly but surely, Han was sure that one day, sooner rather than later, he, too, would find solace in his identity. He's felt so lost for the longest of time and with the help of the raven-haired Wayfinder, he was positive he could find the light inside him. No point in denying who you are anymore, right?

Hearing that she wished to travel, he tilted his head slightly to the side cutely, "Then you should go. Once everything about the peace treaty is settled, take a few days off. A week or two, rest your mind somewhere you want to go. You deserve it." Things have been hectic for the faction, no doubt. They were mysterious to begin with, after all. "I hope we'll have the time to spend… but for now, I intend to make the best use of the time that was given to me" he beamed brightly, every minute was precious, he always told himself. It was precisely the reason why the Celestial went all out when it comes down to dates and the likes. "Ah… no wonder you sound like a native. You have the accent" he quipped, it was very prominent from the tip of her tongue, really. It makes her sound… calm. He wasn't used to talk about his relationship to anyone else, there were times when he gushed about Jae to Yeon most of the time but that's about it. Having the opportunity to tell someone else who is just as meaningful too, it made his heart lurch in happiness that he could share these details.

"I should. And I will. I'll hold onto him tightly." It was like a promise to himself, he had found his love and he won't be letting go of him. He did wish that she would be able to experience the same as him, if not more, in the future. Phe was too kind and genuine, headstrong in her own ways. It only made the younger star admire her more. The question popped and Han pressed his lips together and nodded slowly, "He does. He actually protected me during the first attack… and I conjured up the shield because of him later on. It's safe to say he knows everything about me including that part." And he wasn't ashamed at all. This is who he is. He would keep it in mind to store every single memory properly after hearing Ophelia. The thought of being able to spend more time with her excited him, he would be able to learn new skills and perhaps, so will she.

Before he could talk anymore regarding the arrangements on their bowling session, his phone rang and he noticed the name on the caller ID, "Sorry, I totally forget I should be back cooking dinner. Wow it's been a few hours passed.." he marveled at the difference before looking back and forth from his phone to her, "I'll text you when, prepare to be beaten, Phe. I'm a king in the alley" he jested and wrapped his jacket around him, "I'll try to coerce Jae into coming. You should invite others too, the more the merrier right?" He stared back at the time displayed on the phone and grinned bashfully as he rubbed the back of his neck while sparing her a sweet smile, "It was lovely to meet you, Phe. I hope to see you again." Oh, after exchanging that moment of sweetness between them, he literally dashed out, no doubt to cook before Jae gets home.

“Well safe is always word I’m cautious around but I think it will lend us more freedom” and that was all she could really aim for, she wasn’t silly enough to delude herself into thinking they were going to ever get a full break or people were going to forget the power you could gain from killing a celestial, she was just ensuing the consequences were stacked should someone think about breaking the rules. Evermore was special for that and made it easier to keep people protected, it wasn’t like in other cities where the supernatural lived in the shadows and tended to run by their own laws. She laughed when Han called tigers cute, she’d never seen one in person and she certainly knew better than to pet one but she would agree they looked cute “Well at least the namesake was after something cute, he can’t complain really” she laughed softly, she didn’t think anyone had ever named something after her but it was a sweet sentiment.

She shrugged slightly “Or just some kind of family looking out for us” she believed in the whole constellations were a family thing and that meant there were more members of the family up there in the sky and until it became their time to fall, they were up there watching, guiding from afar. Perhaps the optimist in her also wanted to believe that you returned there when you died. “From someone who has spent pretty much her entire existence trying to put together a colony, I’m really glad to see it finally come together, even if it feels a little too late” but then they lived forever technically so there wasn’t really a too late but she hated the way they had all suffered in those cages and seeing the aftermath of it all. She smiled gently at his thanks and shrugged slightly “You are all my family, there really was no other choice to make” she was adamant about that.

“I probably should but part of me thinks I’ll just be constantly worrying about what’s going on here” she laughed softly, she definitely did want to travel one day but it didn’t seem all that fun to go alone and honestly, she didn’t even know what she would do when she got there, having a break was something pretty foreign to her so perhaps she needed to start small for now. She shrugged slightly when he commented on her English accent “It’s faded over time because I’ve been in America so long but there will always be a little bit of it in my blood” She smiled serenely glad he had opened up so much since coming here today, she felt confident with time and practice he was going to be able to embrace his celestial side well.

She nodded slightly when he said he was going to hold on to the guy who made him happy, she was glad to hear it because being a star you could get so used to everything being temporary and constantly being on the run that you never realized everything you had right in front of you. She was glad to hear that Han had shared what he was too, being a species that can pass off as human it wasn’t uncommon for celestials to want to hide what they were. There were times in her life where she had wanted to do that too, because it was easier to hide than to be proud of being a species who were constantly chased and hunted. It made her smile, hearing his pride in his tone “Good, you should be proud of what you are” she nodded slightly.

Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing which made her check her watch only to notice that a few hours had indeed passed “Oh I have no doubts about you winning but I’m looking forward to it anyway” she encouraged and shooed him towards the door so he wouldn’t get in trouble for forgetting to cook dinner “I’ll see if anyone is free to tag along” she commented with a laugh, truth be told though she didn’t really have very many friends so she wasn’t sure who she would even invite. “Go before you get in trouble” she teased with a laugh and smiled “Have a good evening Han” she nodded slightly and waved him off before heading back to her room.
