Yeon had never really been one for the politics that went on in Evermore city, frankly he just didn't have much time for them, he knew what was going on sure, he'd be stupid if he didn't pay attention to the tensions going on in the city, but he'd never really gotten personally involved, unless you counted bedding people from other factions as personally involved, in which case he was about as involved as they came. That was beside the point though, the point was that it took a lot for the valkyr to be interested in the happenings going on with his own faction, let alone the worries of the city.

That was why he had been so off about this whole meeting thing that Gideon was pushing between the celestial faction and the valkyr from square one. Of course, he got the idea behind it, Valkyr was weak to celestial energy to the point it could kill them, if there was a way to stop that then it was stupid to say no to right? Yeon just really didn't like the idea of being tied to another person, in fact, it kinda weirded him out. Still, Gideon had asked him not to completely throw the idea out of the window and Yeon had agreed, begrudgingly, to meet people from this so-called faction in the name of the alliance they were trying to form.

As so, here he found himself, on his one day off this week, in the west of the city, standing outside the very obvious and somewhat cheesy looking castle. Everyone else had already had their chance to do this as a group which made Yeon the lone visitor today. Not that he particularly cared, he was the kind of guy who could walk into a party alone and late and not be phased by it. "Here goes nothing" he muttered to himself as he made his way up to the door and knocked, though as soon as his arm rested against the door he realized it was already open and simply pushed it gently. He tilted his head as he stepped into the entryway, the place didn't look like what he'd expected, it was pretty modern and actually kinda home like, appearances could be deceiving he supposed.

Standing there he realized that he actually had no idea what he was supposed to say or do here, he could hear voices in the next room, sounding a little like bickering so he figured he'd go and ask instead of standing around like some crazy stalker. Walking through the stone halls to where the voices came from he popped his head around the corner as he heard one of the voices stating their clear distaste for this whole pairing idea. Ah! Someone who he had something in common with then it seemed. Neither of them noticed him so he cleared his throat "Hi" he stated once he had their attention "Name's Yeonseok Lee, Gideon sent me" to which the dark-haired woman gave the male a knowing look and left the room giving Yeon a nod.

"Nice to meet you too" he commented as she left the room before he focused his eyes on the male he supposed they'd picked out for him. He looked Korean, huh, no points for originality on who they chose to pair him with then. "So this is about as awkward as I expected it to be" he commented as he gave the celestial a once over, well at least he was good looking he supposed. Without being invited Yeon made his way over to one of the couches in the room and collapsed down into it, leaning his head against his arm, he wrinkled his nose when he realized the other male was just staring at him "What? Do I have something on my face?" he asked curiously.

In all of his life, Hanseol only knew to take things from what he can understand, his timidness could easily be mistaken for being aloof sometimes. But it wasn't as if he didn't want to approach anyone, he's just afraid to open himself again only to leave the next day. His nomadic way of life changed his drastically, as far as an opinionated person can change. Greed was one of the seven deadly sins, and whilst he tried his best to stray far from those, there were times when he felt like he owed himself a curiosity trial. So hearing that being greedy wasn't always frowned over from Yeon, he felt relieved. As conservative as he may come out to be sometimes, he also didn't like to stay in the past, for he thinks nothing good will come out of it. The one good thing most people will find about the celestial, is that he's open to change. Any kind of it.

“This is like the first time someone's told me it's okay to be greedy” he chuckled awkwardly, feeling the intensity staring at the back of his skull even though it was literally just the two of them in the living room area. He felt like there's an invisible force penetrating his head from afar, but that could be an effect from his paranoia. When the topic shifted into a more light-hearted one, Han was delighted to hear more about the valkyr. So far, they've only talked about his past, and the star felt like he was at least owed a brief summary of the blond's life too, just so he could get familiar with it. Afterall, if they were going to be partners for life, it's only fair they know one another first before everything else hits them too close at home. Truthfully, he wasn't sure what did effects would it give the two of them, but he was hoping it wasn't anything sensitive.

“A Broadway musical, wow. You really do dream big” which is not at all a bad thing, sometimes Han marvelled at how some people could dream so high up the sky and plan thoroughly of how their life journey is going to be like, how they'll start embarking them. Then there's him who can't even think what he's going to do the next week. He wasn't indecisive, just oblivious. The celestial wasn't exactly exposed to the modernized age with a manual instruction in his hand. First look at the valkyr, and Hanseol knew they would either they along very well or the direct opposite. Suffice to say, so far they're threading the first path moderately, which gives him enough hope to think what they would be in the future. The idea of having another friend was exciting for him. Someone else he could lean on to and someone he probably didn't even have to lie to, since Yeon would figure it out in less than 10 seconds or so.

He was just generally glad that he wouldn't feel like he have to keep anymore secret inside him. All those emotions pent up inside him will explode someday, and god have mercy to anyone near him then. Don't let his shy front fool you, it only meant he had plenty of things repressed aka surprising temper. There were times when Han saw how different the two of them are, but it's the good kind of differences, the one that might even boost his traits up if given thought into it. Okay, now he wants to see the back of his studio. The way his eyes glossed over in twinkling stars showed just how enthusiastic the star was being. “That sounds like a plan. I might even get more inspiration, haha” Let's be real, he would. He can stare at a cup of coffee and get ideas for the color combination palette he's going to use on his next canvas.

“Sell, though? I don't think that'll ever happen” he chuckled softly, nope, that probably wouldn't. The only way to gain access to his paintings was to venture to his place or wait until he wants to show them to you. “But I learned to never say never. It usually finds a way to come back to me” It did cause a swell in his heart to know that there was someone else who wished to see his work, when everyone never saw him more than a veterinarian who works at his own place. It takes a double checking to see if the celestial was truly as artistic as he comes as, but if you're attentive and meticulous, you'll spot that from a mile away since Hanseol had this particular way to how he drives himself. The way he walks, the way he talks, the way he acts even.

Perhaps it was a push from his supernatural status but Han was really surprised at how defined his proportions were. It definitely showed his physical appearance in another light. The celestial only ever exercised in his spare time because he was still hindering himself from tapping into his celestial energy. So, if anything happens, he could only rely on his physical. When the fallen star pointed out that he could pass off as a siren, he wasn't kidding. Yeon's voice had this certain charm to it, none other that he's ever encountered before. It's sweet and honey like that came out like saccharine music to his ears. The timbre in his tone always fluctuates at every syllable which is a fresh sound to him. He's no vocal expert but he was sure that if Yeon sung, he'd be captivated too.

Right, don't tell Jae.

“You have the aura so I wouldn't say I'm surprised you're on the path to being a businessman if you're not one already, but I'm still taken aback” Yeon didn't seem serious but what does he know about business anyways. All he knew was that it's a tough field to be threading with if you're not cutthroat enough to compete with others. Yeon could easily command his presence, so he wouldn't know. He just seemed to carefree it was amazing to see the shift. “But 12, sounds a little too early..” he mumbled absentmindedly, he didn't know anything about growing up form one's childhood but even he had a sense that children weren't supposed to spend theirs like that. It was a waste, in his view. “I thought most should fill theirs with good memories and whatnot..” It was clear that he still had that innocent view about children descending into adulthood.

Rubbing at his arm, he glared at the blond as his mouth began to mutter a few profanities under his breath, yes, surprisingly so. It didn't hurt that much, obviously, Han was just overly exaggerating for the sake of it. He didn't appreciate being used as a test subject though, not that he takes it too deep or anything. “I feel like I should be afraid…” he felt his breath hitched momentarily in response to Yeon's statement about how he's his Volakiri which means he's his only test subject from now on. “I know I should tell this to myself but please don't get hurt” pointing his index finger to himself, he gave the valkyr a facepalmed expression, minus the hand covering. “This guy is very fragile” he pouted and stared at the wound on his palm from the cut he made earlier. It's healing. Good.

“I think the definition of greed is pretty lucid” he commented with a shrug “There’s a line between taking things that you aren’t owed and hurting people and sometimes putting yourself first” the blond nodded his head, he wouldn’t step on someone else to get what he wanted but he also knew the things he wanted and the path he needed to take to get there, he was driven, not mean. Did it hurt anyone that he was successful and made a lot of money from bringing his routines to big clients, no, if anything it brought joy to people because they got to see his art in person? Greed was all about intent.

Yeon chuckled softly “They say to dream big and even if you don’t make it then you’ll still have done something important” he shrugged a little, he really hoped that one day he would get the opportunity to live those dreams but it was also okay if he didn’t, he was comfortable with the life he had right now, perhaps even happy with it. He liked to bring joy to people in the form of dance, seeing the look on people’s reactions as they took in the performance, he enjoyed watching people dance himself. And all kinds of art really, he had an eye for beautiful things.

Yeon wiggled his brows a little and smiled, he had quite the collection of art, he liked keeping the spaces he was in bright and cheerful, a lot of the pieces he bought were made up of bright contrasting colors, though his absolute favorite was a painting of a sunset he had in the entry hall to his apartment, it was bright and had contrasting shadows which made for a setting in the foreground, it was stunning and took his breath away every time he saw it. “Well I can’t promise that your tastes will be the same as mine, but I’ve met many talented artists since I started collecting” and they were probably worth a lot of money too, now that he thought about it.

“Why not?” Yeon shrugged a little “I think artists are owed just as much compensation for their work as anyone else” the valkyr smiled brightly, how was it fair that a doctor got paid for his time but an artist was always expected to do something for free, they both took time, effort and talent. Though he supposed if it was just a hobby that Hanseol wanted to keep for himself then that was okay too, likely a waste of talent that the world would want to see, but it was okay.

The valkyr was used to the way people acted around him, he tried his best not to get too egotistical but he’d always had a pretty magnetic personality and that tended to draw people towards him, a lot of the time he would push back, because, despite people liking him and wanting to be around him, there weren’t a lot of people he felt the same way about. With Hanseol there was potential though, the celestial knew how to stand his ground around the valkyr which he respected and he was thoughtful and diligent, qualities Yeon knew he needed around him more in life.

“I’m not one of those cutthroat guys you see at the top of a big office building but I also know how to work my way around people and influence them to get what I want” he shrugged, basics in charisma and socialization really, though a lot of people fell at the first hurdle, confidence. “Luckily I made some pretty nifty connections that way so I had strings to pull on the way up” which was about as underhand as it sounded but the valkyr didn’t let much stand in his way. “It was” he admitted with a shrug “But it’s not like I can go back and give myself a childhood now so” he smiled softly, no point holding on to things you couldn’t change right.

The valkyr actually found this whole thing quite amusing, at first he thought he would be worried about being linked to someone but it actually felt like sharing the weight of the world a little, plus it was fun to see the pout on the celestial’s face when he realized they now share pain “I’d rather know what we’re dealing with up front than wonder what the hell is happening in an emergency” he stated matter of factly, it wasn’t about being a test subject, it was about being ready for what the two of them might face together. “Well I don’t have any intentions of getting hurt” Yeon clarified with a quirked brow “It seems we have a long road ahead of us Hanseol” overall though, Yeon was optimistic and who knew, maybe letting another person in wouldn’t prove to be the worst decision he ever made.
