Wyatt's fingers moved over the old tome as he internally translated some of the ancient runes within its pages. He was somewhat proud of himself for even being able to read it when only a year or so ago it would've looked like symbols on a page with no meaning. Things like this were starting to become easier and easier now that he had made researching ancient magic a new hobby of his. Well, more like obsession. Being able to cast both light and dark magic was ever tempting to him and the Brookes family was determined to bring as much knowledge to the coven as possible for all to learn freely.

The bell hanging from the door chimed and took him from the deep concentration he was in. His head lifted slightly as he glanced at the man coming through before turning back to the shopkeeper who chuckled at Wyatt, noticing how focused he had just been. "You're getting better at that, young man," Marie said, being mindful on the herbs she had been crushing and sprinkling into the small jars in front of her. The corners of her eyes crinkled as she smiled softly. It was strange for anyone to call him 'young' seeing as he had walked the earth for more than a hundred years, but he knew the woman who owned this shop was far older than he. Though she appeared to be in her eighties, Wyatt was quite aware that it was in fact only that. An appearance.

"Some day I might be as learned as you," he replied to her, turning to face the woman with a matching smile. His hues casually moved over to the only other person in the shop with them that had just come in. Wyatt hadn't seen this person before which was to say somewhat curious. This store was far off the road of diviner territory and was only known to its faction. Seeing as Wyatt knew mostly everyone in the coven now that his cousin was the ambassador and he her right hand, not knowing someone in the shop was a little surprising. Of course it didn't mean this man wasn't just a passing diviner who had heard of the shop from someone in the coven, but it was his request which peaked his interest even more.

"I'm looking for baneswood sap," he asked with an English accent that had a bit of a drawl at the end. His eyes were dark and peered around the store as if to take in everything around him without even looking to the owner with his question. He finally leaned on the counter top and looked at the various items she kept in the cases before looking to her. "That and phoenix ash."

Wyatt was somewhat surprised to hear the request as both of those items were very rare and also mostly used in dark magic that was as advanced as it was dangerous. He looked to Marie as she took her eyes from the stranger and flickered over to him for a moment before speaking as she was undoubtedly thinking the same thing. "I'm sorry, but I don't carry those items here."

"Hmm.. no, I suppose you wouldn't." The man turned around on his heels with a sigh and cut his eye quickly to Wyatt before opening the door to the shop and exiting.

Wyatt's eyebrow raised for a moment as he looked over to Marie with a smirk. "Pleasant guy." Marie rolled her eyes in agreement before taking the jars she had been filling and heading behind the curtain to her stockroom. Walking to the front windows of the store, he peered out as the man continued towards his car with a nagging thought. Wyatt was dabbling in ancient magic for a while now and meeting other diviners that were that far advanced was rare. Even if he did run after the man now to make small talk, it didn't seem like he would be very interested in talking with Wyatt. It didn't seem like he would be interested in talking to anyone for that matter.

He tore his glance away from the window as the Englishman got into his car and began heading towards the antique register to be rung up for the ingredients he was buying for his own practice when he suddenly saw the man had left his cellphone on the counter. Wyatt hurried over and quickly snatched the phone before racing out of the shop.

His sneakers pounded against the dirt driveway, but it was too late as he watched the car becoming smaller by the moment while it drove down the main road through Evermore. "Dammit." Wyatt looked down to the cell and tried to unlock it with no luck. "Great." No way to contact anyone to let them know he had the man's phone. "Well.. guess it's time for a tracking spell." The diviner sighed shortly before heading back inside to see if Marie wouldn't mind helping him with a little magic.

Hana would have much rather been back in college, months ago when things seemed normal.. and before Ha-joon ended up in danger with the same group of people that Hana and Wyatt had found themselves wrapped up with now. She felt horrible, waves of guilt continued crashing down on her as she tried to tell herself that Wyatt was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Surely that's all it was, that he'd be free of this soon enough when they were able to capture her and Ha-joon. She assumed that was all they wanted. But then after realizing what Wyatt was, perhaps they did have plans for him after all, and it hurt her heart. Hana never wanted this for her and her brother, let alone a complete stranger who didn't deserve any of it. Regardless, he was here now, and she felt like he was much a part of it as she was. They know who he is now, and she didn't imagine they'd leave him alone just because it's what she'd hoped for. Hana took a deep breath, sighing in relief when she noticed that they were alone after Wyatt's thorough inspection.

After she'd been ushered safely back to Wyatt's car, Hana blinked at the gun now in her eyesight, and at the words Wyatt spoke. Sure, she'd had plenty of training from her father. But, that was hand-to-hand combat, and such. Never had the petite female touched a gun, let alone fired one off at someone. "Killing someone wasn't on my to-do list today.." she frowned over at the Diviner, knowing he knew better than her, that she may very well have to use this gun to protect herself. "What about you?" she then asked, blinking tears from her eyes.

Not knowing if her brother was okay, had turned her life upside down entirely. Hana didn't even feel like the same sweet innocent girl she once was, sitting in this car, holding a gun, and being tracked by a dangerous group of people who apparently wanted her and her brother both. She felt like they would eventually win no matter what, that they'd find a way to bait her and Wyatt while Wyatt was still with Hana, especially if they knew the gifts he possessed.

Hana's gaze had lowered to her feet after typing in the address for Wyatt to follow. His question was more than fair, and she felt bad that she'd not already explained. Wyatt couldn't even be looked at as a stranger at this point. She'd been through more with him, than she had with anyone her entire life, which was insane, but it was the reality of their situation. "I wish I knew exactly what was going on. Ive come to learn, my parents.. and I believe my father is more so involved than my mother, but my parents are in trouble with these people, and nothing makes sense except for they're only hunting Ha-joon and I to teach my parents a lesson. But then there's the truth, which is, it could be something entirely different than what I just said, but to assume it could be any worse than that.. no thank you. This is as bad as it gets for a person right?" she knew Wyatt couldn't answer that question properly, and she was more so just venting but still. "I'm just sorry that you found yourself in the middle of it. And, I do feel like we'll find more answers as we get closer to my brother, as in.. what these people truly want, and why,,"

Hana took a deep breath and had cried the entire time she'd spoken just now. It was too much for her to wrap her head around.

After Wyatt explained that they had a small window of time, but he didn't know for how long, and that he didn't even feel at full capacity himself still, the curious human that she was, glanced over to him "So what you are.. I mean.. can it kill you if you use your.. gifts too much, or for too long?" she asked, almost sure she already knew the answer, but Hana had never been around a Diviner who's had to use their powers, and frankly she didn't know very much about most supernaturals, just that they existed.

Wyatt's hand rested on Hana's shoulder gently as the spell he was using continued its purpose. They were completely cloaked from sight while he let her lead the way to her home. Even magic as simple as this, one he'd done countless amounts of times, was somewhat taxing on him and his energy as he still felt the effects of the encounter with the man who had captured them. Not being at full capacity was an awful feeling, especially for someone who was so adept at magic and constantly needing that feeling of being capable performing it and performing it well and with ease. The great amount of vulnerability he had was something he wasn't used to and this weakness was something that began to make him put doubt within himself. Someone being able to best him was not the norm and yes, he was cocky in that aspect, but with good reason. He was one of the best. To be bested made him feel inadequate and weak.

His focus was on the task at hand, but he did like the feeling of his own amulet gently bouncing against his chest which brought some amount of security. "Yes," Wyatt answered simply at first as his eyes scanned the area for anyone that may be watching them. It was hard to know if anyone was truly out there when he was currently occupied in keeping them cloaked. There could be others out there also hidden from sight, waiting on her return home. "Magic is infinite, but diviners are not. We draw power from the sun and moon. I'm fae, so I draw from the sun. It's like a power source. At night I'm not as powerful, but when light and dark diviners work together, their casting can be the strongest. That's why our friend took me and was using my magic to aid in his spellwork." Wyatt thought back to when the man had walked into the diviner shop and set the whole charade up to capture he and Hana in the woods. "He needed someone powerful to try and locate the members of your family with the blood spell. One that is probably meant to track you endlessly without the use of having to do the spell constantly. I think the amulet he had was amplifying that magic. I put it away in a runed box, so hopefully that will at least slow his efforts and keep you from sight for now."

As they apparently moved closer to where she lived, Wyatt tried to focus on the house itself. There didn't appear to be anything he could feel from the outside. Nothing screamed that this place was triggered to set off any alarms to alert their enemy of their arrival. That didn't mean it wasn't. Wyatt removed his hand from her as they entered through the back and glanced over his shoulder to look around them once more before stepping through. Perhaps their captor was really working alone after all. He had a feeling the man wasn't the type to want help from anyone as he was probably just as confident in himself as Wyatt tended to be. If the Triad had hired him to do their work, the likelihood was Wyatt's thinking was right.

He stepped into the unfamiliar space of her home and glanced around. Everything seemed to be normal and now that he wasn't using the energy to focus on keeping them cloaked, Wyatt could concentrate more on feeling the magic that might be in the house. Eyes closed, he let out an unsteady breath as he tried to focus. He hated feeling this weak. He pressed his mind forward regardless and still felt nothing obvious that was put in place to alert anyone of their presence. His green hues fell back on the small human in front of him then and he nodded as an indication to go further into the house. "Let's hope your brother is here."
