Caleb felt lucky that over the last twenty-four months he had acquired friends that helped him when his past came back to bite him. During those times, he often secluded himself in his studio with a weeks supply of food and just hid himself in paint and canvas. It was often Ridley or Artemitra who would find him on Thursday with messy hair and surrounded by colorful mess. It was Wednesday and Caleb could barely remember how long he'd been sequestered in his tiny haven. His fingers were clutched around a wooden paintbrush as a yawn escaped his mouth. The black paint smoothed it's way over the linen and stuttered near the ending. He was tired and the art he was currently making reflected that, but still he continued, despite the struggle. The strokes began to sag as the muscles in his arm began to fall asleep. Caleb's eyes drifted shut and slipped against the cool tile of the floor, content to sleep, despite the strange circumstance. Hours passed and the early afternoon light slipped into sunset and then nightfall, before stars transformed into a colorful sunrise that Caleb would have loved to paint if he'd not been snoozing on the floor from forcing himself into hours of work. It must have looked pretty ridiculous to the passers who could see in the window and see the young artist fast asleep atop his recent work. Thursday morning and a persistent knock on the door hesitantly raised him from his steady slumber. As Caleb sat up and rubbed his eyes, spreading paint dust across his cheekbones, he peered through the glass into the two faces who routinely found him here. Rising and thankful he'd taken a shower yesterday, he unlocked the door and let them into the studio. "Bonjour, mes amis...." A dark red color decorated his face, as he stared into the concerned faces of his friends. This was becoming far too routine for them to find him like this.

Ever since the move to Evermore 2 years ago. The Celestial had a tight circle of people, she considered close friends. Two of them were Ridley and Caleb. The Instar Diviner, was one of the first few people, that slowly helped her open up and trust. The pair, had met the French-man near enough around the same time. But the Brunette had been increasingly getting more worried about Caleb, and the state she often found him in. They needed to get him, away from the studio for a while. For him to constantly not be drowned in his paint and work; like he had been the last few weeks. So the girls had gotten their heads together, planning an Intervention. They just needed to find the right time to do so.

The Celestial was on her way to Caleb’s art studio, to check up on the French human. Spending time with Cal, Artemis brushed up on her French more. When she arrived;she wasn’t alone. “I see, we had the same thought?” She rose an eyebrow at her Best-friend Ridley. Seemingly, the pair had arrived near enough the same time. Knocking on the door. Caleb greeting them in his usual state. Covered in paint, and looking like he had just woken up. The Brunette furrowed her brows slightly, unable to shake the concern she felt for the human.

"Bonjour. Essayer de peindre, encore toi Cal?!"Artemis asked. A little teasingly, as she gestured to his cheeks. But the concern didn’t fade from her eyes. As usual, his studio was an artistic mess. “When was the last time you been out, Cal?” Artemis asked, concerned. He couldn’t keep locking himself up like this. It wasn’t good for him, and she was sure his other friends missed his presence.

Glancing towards Ridley. It seemed like the time for an Intervention, was today. The sooner the better

The last little while Ridley’s life had seemed to turn upside down in more ways than one, Rikard had sent his men to get her to try and kill her. This of course was a way to try and punish Malachi for refusing to help them anymore, this event lead to her meeting Anders who she adores as well as enjoys his company. Her long time friend Caleb seemed to be really struggling with his emotions as of late and Ridley thought it may have to do with Avalon. Ridley’s heart went out to the male he was such an amazing person and to be going through such a hard time was utterly heartbreaking.

As Ridley approached the all too familiar building she heard someone speak to her recognizing the voice she simply nodded, letting Artie Mitrie knock on the door for the pair. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head as her jaw dropped “Oh no no no this will not do… Come come.” She said in her partial motherly tone as she stepped past the male. Ridley headed towards the back room where she knew he kept spare clothing and grabbed up one of every item he would need before walking to him and shoving the items into his chest gently of course “Go shower, we will see if we can scrounge up some food and coffee for you…” She stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek. “We have plans” She winked and left the room to go join Artemitra

“Alrightie… so food and coffee… if he has some here… which I am sure he should… if not we are taking him out for breakfast AFTER packing for a #KidnappCforTheWeekendPlan.” Ridley giggled excitedly and clapped her hands together. “He needs this… well actually.. I think we all do to be dead honest!”

People like Ridley and Artemitra had become fast friends, both together, and apart from him. They had game nights and went on frequent adventures. It was often what Caleb imagined it would have been like if he'd grown up with sisters. Perhaps it was true that he could use a holiday. Despite all the progress he'd made over the last two years, Caleb did still sometimes backtrack and forget how important it was to socialize and get out out of his own personal bubble. It was why he was thankful that he had several very determined friends who would reach in and jerk him out of his world of art and memories. It could get a bit dark, after a while.

Caleb grinned down at Ridley as she pushed him up the stairs to his apartment, "As you wish."

It would be good to get all of the colorful tones out of his clothing, once again, although in truth Caleb wasn't sure that he owned a piece of clothing which was completely untouched by some kind of paint stain. It had become a calling card. He was used to being covered in splash marks. The young man quickly sorted through his clean clothes and put an assortment into a suitcase, before turning to the shower and rubbing the three days of artistic solitude off of his body.

It took a fair few minutes, but he stepped out as clean as a button and feeling much refreshed.  He'd been teased for his European sense of fashion before, but he was not going to wear sports shorts and baggy t-shirts around all day, ai. It looked like pajamas. Ready to be inspected, Caleb ran a comb through his hair and slipped a pair of boat shoes onto his feet.

"Any better?" Caleb set his suitcase amid the canvases and stood between his friends. "...less painted?"

Things for her had been a little crazy, lately. From getting re-united with both Ery and Cora. To trying to forget the drama and chaos that happened in the woods, getting manipulated by a Dark Diviner, when she and the Aspect of Death crossed paths. It was something, she would much rather forget. Move past and forward from, the events. It still haunted her. Maybe even more so, than Isle of Skye nightmares lately.

Before Artemis could get another word out. Ridley went into her Maternal mode. Ushering Caleb towards the stairs, causing the Celestial to laugh slightly. “Well, I don’t think I could have done that any better.” she said honestly, shaking her head smiling.

Artemitra looked around the Studio. Trying to see if there was a place, where Caleb would keep some coffee downstairs. Looking through the few cupboards, it was just art supplies. “Nope, maybe we should have Breakfast out.” The Celestial concluded. Her friends excitement, made the Celestial smile brightly. “You’re right about that. We do need a little get-away. I know, I could use a different scenery for a while.” Artemis said honestly. As much as she had grown to love Evermore. And all of the people, she knew. They meant a lot to her. But after few past events; she needed a break. To unwind with her friends.

This trip would be a good opportunity for that. Have fun, see new places with her friends. Happy memories.

When Caleb came downstairs. Artemis smiled at the Frenchman “Better, looking more human.” Artemis said with a soft laugh.

As Caleb left the pair Ridley moved from finished work to finished work, she smiled to herself Caleb was very talented much like Artemitra and Ridley were. Ridley didn’t know where she would be without friends like the two in this building. They had become a small family and there was nothing ridley held in higher regard than family. She let out a soft gasp a particular scene Caleb had painted of a waterfall “This is brilliant!” She said to Artie as the other female busied herself looking through various cupboards.

Upstairs Ridley could hear the water running “Breakfast out sounds good to me!” She chimed to Artie's comment. Putting the painting back down carefully to not ruin it; after all, Ridley was an accident-prone kinda gal and well she didn’t want to hurt her friend's finished masterpiece. “I know I could.” The Diviner grinned. The water shut off and a few minutes later Caleb emerged back into their presence.

“Ohhh snazzy” She teased and winked to him “You look top-notch and oh so handsome, ready to hit the town with the two best looking women in town,” Ridley said linking her arm with Calebs. “Oh, and when you become a famous Painter I want that one right there.” She pointed to the waterfall “Oh and I put in a special watermelon themed one!” She giggled happily reaching her free hand out for Artie. “Shall we get this little adventure of ours underway?”

As Caleb entered the room, he was glad to see Ridley inspecting all of the different canvas that covered about 80% of the studio. Almost all of it had at least a sketch over the linen and was the product of a late or sleepless night. Most of it was oil paints and the rest was water color as a homage to the parent who had inspired him to love art in the first place. Before long, he would have to either find a bigger place to store his work, or actually become open to selling some of it. That wasn't something he'd ever put a lot of thought into before, as most of what he painted was an escape and had a deep story behind it. It was hard to picture these paintings decorating the home of a stranger who would have no inkling of everything that went into making them and there were some that he was certain he would never part with for any amount of money.

Caleb smiled as Ridley carefully looked over the canvas decorated with a blue and green orchestra of color. It was one of his first of the locations in Evermore and he could see why her eye had been drawn to it on a wall of darker colors. "Have you ever been to the waterfall? It's a small hike, but it's well worth it, especially after it rains." He'd met several other artists in the secluded little nook. It had a way of drawing creative people.

It was true that there was not a lot of food in the downstairs area of his suite. There just wasn't room. A small fridge contained water, some yogurt, and other simple things for when he spent more than six hours in a muse bubble, but it certainly wasn't a fully equipped kitchen. "I'm starving." The young man nodded. "How about we catch something over at the diner and then drive...somewhere."

He reached into the pockets of his jeans and handed Artemitra the keys to his car. "I call shot gun! And since you're driving, I guess you get to decide where we're headed."

Looking over her shoulder. Artemis smiled at how excited Ridley looked, in regards to one painting. “It’s beautiful.” Artemitra had been told about the Waterfalls numerous of times, but she had yet to venture there and see them, with her own eyes. Hearing what Ridley said to Caleb, amused the Celestial to a degree, shaking her head smiling. “So you saying, that we beat the rest of the female population in Evermore?” Artemitra rose an eyebrow. “You really are an adorable shortie.” she said. After she walked closer, she lightly pinched Ridley’s cheek in a cute, best-friend manner. Out of the two girls, she was taller. But not tall enough to tower over Caleb. Most men towered over her; she rarely ever met any short guys.

“I agree with Ridley...it’s beautiful.” She complimented, as she glanced towards the Waterfall painting. Caleb had captured the moment well. Almost like the water was alive and flowing on canvas.

Hearing Caleb’s words, she smiled. “Sounds like a plan.” As the human handed her the car keys, she rose an eyebrow. “As if you think, I am the best driver?” she teased. The Celestial knew how to drive, but most often she sometimes got lost en route. “Fine, but you can’t complain...when/if I get us somewhere that I didn’t set off towards, in the first place. We all know, I get lost.” She lightly tapped his nose.

Taking Ridley’s hand. The trio walked out of the studio. Her other arm, wrapped around Caleb’s shoulder, giving him a squeeze. Her hand still gripping the car keys he gave her. Once outside, she unlocked the Caleb’s car, with the press of a button. They first loaded up their bags, into the boot of the car. Before, she got into the driver’s seat. Artemis started the car, waiting for the pair to get in. Whilst she buckled herself in. Checking the fuel tank. They had plenty, but certainly would have to refill.

Once they were all in; Artemis took off in Caleb’s car towards the dinner. Reaching over, Artemitra flicked on the radio. Any car journey, needed some tunes. One of her favorite songs was on, so she turned it up and started to sing along. Artemis had quite a decent voice. But if she was drunk and singing something random, it sounded bad. Slightly bobbing her head along to the tune, as she sang. The Celestial playfully pointed towards her best-friends, as if she motioning them both to join in.

"No, there is a waterfall! You will have to take me there!” Ridley loved nature and even more when it involved taking photos, anything she could get a beautiful picture out of. Food did sound wonderful she thought as her stomach growled a little, spending all the time with Wyatt she had learned how to eat a larger variety of foods. In fact, he had opened up her eyes to many different cultures and foods.

“I should like to think we do” she responded to the best looking women in evermore, though Ridley knew many stunning women.

Ridley all but bounced as she made her way out to the car and slide into the back seat sitting in the middle so she could see them both easily. When Mitra turned on the tunes and started singing and pointed to them Ridley, of course, chimed in singing along with the music. Opening up her cellphone she checked her e-mails making sure Wyatt wouldn’t need her before she set off on their adventure.

Pulling up her camera she snapped a few photos and took a video of the Trio singing, their voices oddly complementing each others even with the various accents. Ridley sat back looking from the driver to the passenger she was glad she had met the duo they had become a large part of her life and she couldn’t imagine it being any other way.

It was nice to be surrounded by people that he cared about. No matter what path or differences had lead them here, they'd found similarities in their circumstances, their pain, and the things and other people they enjoyed. Caleb had never had siblings, but he always had wanted them; growing up the child of divored parents who lived on two opposite hemispheres, however, made that complicated. His primary school mates had always been girls and so had his college friends. He got along well with them, and while some of them were like sisters, some were more. Artie, and Ridley, were definitely like a pair of younger, mischievous sisters in Caleb's eyes. He always wanted to look after them, but the truth was that they did an equal amount of looking after him. They made sure that he never went too far down his path of asserting independence to the point that he forgot about others. On days like today, it made him glad that he had two little nuisances he loved in his back pocket and in his heart at all times. The radio blared out of the open convertible and Caleb kept his eyes, mostly, on the road. He'd become a better driver after crashing in Evermore.

Perhaps Ava's warnings had finally caught up with him, or perhaps, he'd just finally learned to listen to the advice of the people he cared about. It was important to take them seriously. He took less for granted these days, certainly. It wasn't cold out, but the Dogwood trees were only just beginning to blossom along the side of the road. Just as they were about to hit the highway, a cafe with a large neon side came into view in the distance. "Pancakes, anyone?" He'd like some blueberry. It would be a good start to an adventure.

Artemis was amused by Ridley’s comment. “Well as sweet as that is. I am sure there’s plenty of beautiful gals around.” She saw pretty girls around the city. Not that Artemis swung that way. But she did think that other women were indeed quite pretty. Few of her friends included.

The start to the drive seemed pretty chill and fun. Of course, Artemis saw Ridley in the back with her camera; getting a few snaps and video of their little performance. Even if they drove each other crazy sometimes; the trio were close. Like Siblings. A Human, A Celestial and A Diviner. All different as could be, yet similar in a lot of ways. Maybe it was one of the reasons why they could bond so well. They each went through tough times in life. But it made them stronger for it.

As she focused on driving. Artemis glanced to the side to where Caleb was pointing too. “Oooh, never a bad time for pancakes.” Pulling into the other lane, she followed it until they pulled up outside of the Cafe. Parking Caleb’s car, in the parking lot outside of the cafe. Artemis turned off the engine. She was sure, they all needed some decent breakfast and coffee, for the road to keep energised. Waiting for the car to empty, before she locked it. Keeping Cal’s car keys in her purse. Heading towards the entrance of the cafe.

Entering the small cafe; it looked like a typical american diner. But Cozy and welcoming. “Table for 3 please.” Artemis spoke to the lady near the entrance, whom was handing out menus. Once Caleb and Ridley were near her, the lady led them over to a corner table by the window for the three of them. Taking her spot at the table. The Celestial sat down, as she began to browse through the Menu. “How can one decide? All of these look tempting.” They had so many pancake combinations on the menu, it was making her mind spin. Not to mention, her stomach rumble.

Ridley put her camera down at the mention of food “I could go for mixed fruit pancakes and some tea.” She nodded and watched the duo in the front seats. Once they arrived at the destination Ridley hopped out of the car and headed inside behind the two and to their table. “I’ll have tea, two sugar and a small amount of cream please.” Ridley’s big wide grin showed her happy mood.

Since her arrival at Evermore, she had noticed she hadn’t had too many downs yet, which she was thankful for. She wasn’t sure how much her friends would want to stick around her if they saw how low she could get. Turning to her friends she waited for them to order, “sooooo what all do we want to do on this Vacation? Hmmm?” She smiled happily towards them.

Ridley knew for sure they needed Painting, and Photo taking involved, maybe a camping trip... who knows just something they didn’t normally do that was for sure. Swaying to the music playing over the speakers' Ridley had always had a passion for music on the side it just spoke to her in ways that words couldn’t always.

Caleb slid into the booth, wondering why he hadn't eaten before they left. Breakfast was an essential part of the day, but sometimes his was scattered all the way down to noon, as his sleep schedule was not exactly normal. It was a bit odd to be awake at six in the morning with the intention of staying up through the day. He'd have to do his best to not snooze off in the car. It had been a while since Caleb had been on a real adventure. His last one had brought him into the city and he had spent most of his time since then trying to acclimatize himself to living in one place and putting down roots. He was still adjusting to that, frankly, but his friends were right. Everyone needed fresh air and new things to look at from time to time. Even lonely artists. He scanned the menu, before quickly settling on the breakfast selection and fruit pancakes. He'd never been a picky eater and his favorites had been set in place since childhood. Before long, a steaming plate of warm pancakes drenched in syrup, jelly, and butter were in front of him. Healthy? Well, no.

But, they were on vacation. Vacation was about relaxing and letting yourself cheat a little. Caleb happily forked his breakfast, feeling quite relaxed as the girls conversed back and forth. The light drifted through the blinds and scattered across the table in a soft way that made him wish he could capture it. Without asking, he slyly reached for Ridley's camera and snapped a photo of the two of them in enamored debate over sausage or bacon.

It seemed like bacon was winning.
