Oh, what day is it? That's right, Saturday. What's so important about this day though? Why is Han all giddy and excited for today even though it's just any regular day of the weekend? The Celestial had been planning for this day a week ago, ever since Jae asked him out. So yes, a date day is always something to look forward to for them both. Especially when today would be their first date ever since their fight that occurred a little over a month ago. Unsurprisingly, he didn't go back to work, not physically attending his workplace, at least. He accepted paperwork so sent to his email every single day and made sure to review a few of the new medicine supply for the furballs, while still filling his head with plans for today. Hanseol was being incredibly productive for the entire week and he's happy. His work level increased and so did his head while he was planning grand things for today's date.

He had to backtrack for a while though, knowing that his dhampir didn't really prefer extravagant things. Today, indeed, was supposed to be extra extravagant than their usual dates, it was a special one to commemorate their reconciliation, after all, and Hanseol is nothing if not a perfectionist. He is so meticulous that he couldn't allow the smallest details escape his watchful eyes. Especially if it concerns Jae. While humming to himself in the shower, he even woke up early today to make sure all the reservation were done properly and it wouldn't screw up anything today. The two of them usually had a tendency to screw up their dates halfway if not by the end, whether it's the weather or themselves. One of the notable mentions on their dates were when the weather looked down and started raining even when Han had made sure to check in the weather forecast for the entire month, or the time when Jae burned himself during a candlelight dinner. The Celestial made a note not to actually have a candle lit during those dinners for safety reasons.

His boyfriend is way too reckless for his own good and honestly, despite eliciting a laugh from Han, he wished to see his lover perfectly intact by the end of their date. He used the shampoo and conditioner that Jae liked, the one that had coconut essence to it that matches well with his vanilla and soap-like body wash. After drying his hair considerably in front of the mirror using the hairdryer, he ruffled his hair slightly and wiped the mirror that was fogged up by the steam. Hanseol had a wide grin curved on his lips, both reaching the ends of the corners as he stared at his own reflection with a look that masked one of satisfaction. With a towel wrapped around his waist securely, the fallen star make his way out of the bathroom and rushed to his closet, giving a second look at the clothes that were hung nearby; with its state already being ironed the night before. He was being very prepared, nothing could ruin this day. Not under his watch. Yes, he made sure to check the weather forecast and it had 97.8% chances for a good sunny day. He'll take what he can get, it wasn't as if he could bribe someone into controlling the weather.

After spending a solid 10 minutes of deciding whether he should go with the outfit he chose last night, Han quickly dressed himself despite having an hour left. He donned on a black button-up dress shirt and a dark burgundy tailored blazer that had a few embellishments around the collar area. On the bottom, he matched it with a pair of black slacks and obviously, leather shoes. Shortly after styling his hair properly, he adjusted his cuffs and buttoned the blazer. He wasn't going to pick him up apparently, he made sure Jae's mode of transportation was already secured 4 days ago. The Celestial would be meeting the half-valkyr at the venue instead. Disconnecting the phone's charger cable from his the socket, he picked up his phone from the nightstand and scrolled down a few notifications before tucking it inside his pocket. Han wore another outerwear, a coat, to cover his clothing attire and was about to exit the house when Yeontan came barking after coming out of nowhere in front of him, causing the male to halt momentarily. "Sorry, but you're not coming, fluff. Today is me and Jae only, but don't worry, you'll get to see dhampy in a few more days" he also send a look that almost told him to behave himself while he's gone.

Sometimes, Han trusted his pets a little bit too much but they have yet to disappoint him no matter how mischievous and handful they were, so there was no reason to doubt them, especially given their intellect from continuous training. Closing the door behind him as he locked it, he pushed the key inside his coats' pocket before smiling to himself. It didn't take the Celestial long to arrive to his venue, it was a hotel located at the city's heart, quite literally in the middle of city center. Hanseol took the liberty to rent out the entire restaurant and ballroom, and of course, even the pool next to the restaurant. He took a seat at the reserved spot in the restaurant and fished his phone out to check the time. It would be around that time when Jae would receive a mail, a box containing cute origamis and an instruction letter. He also made sure the car was already parked in front of his apartment with a driver present to bring him to the said location.

First stop was the local florist, where he had ordered plenty of lilies for Jae, knowing it's his favorite flower. Second stop, the city square where a performance was being held, songs that relate to Han's feelings. He was sure that one would not escape Jae's attention. Third stop, he had given the dhampir's photo to 3 cute girls aged 7 to 11, so they could each give him a cliche romance book like how to win his heart and the likes. Fourth stop, the hotel, where they will escort him to the restaurant where he's waiting at. With every stop, there's a new letter containing his words for Jae, and his attempts at conjuring a poem.

“Hoping is definitely a good start” he spoke thoughtfully and nodded his head slightly, wishing for something meant you had a desire and willpower “But what’s really important is trying, you know putting in the work” Jae didn’t believe relationships just worked without effort, sometimes you had to compromise and take care of one another. Han’s next question caught Jae by surprise simply because it was so direct and he went quiet for a moment in thought “I definitely want to” he responded honestly, he didn’t want to make empty promises about something they could never really know for sure but he definitely believed in them, he wouldn’t be here right now if he didn’t “We don’t know where life is going to take us but right now we have one another and we have plans to make and time to spend, that’s what’s important” he lifted his gaze to meet the celestial’s for a moment. Jae still got that feeling sometimes that Han would be there one day and gone the next, perhaps that’s why he always held onto him so tightly when he had him “Well you’re not alone” he assured with a gentle nod of his head “For as long as I am breathing, you are not alone” he nodded, he meant that truly.

Jae had told Han before that he didn’t want to be his only reason for living but he also understood where the celestial came from, that he hadn’t experienced a lot of good in his life and the few good things he did have he held onto for dear life. Jae couldn’t blame him for that, in fact, he quite admired his resilience to be able to latch onto anything after so many setbacks. “Of course I’m not rejecting it” he responded with a gentle laugh “And I’m not even stalling, I just think there’s more to it than just agreeing to it like a pipe dream” he nodded, if they were going to do this then he wanted to do it right was all. He giggled when he teased Han about bringing bad jokes on himself “I really could talk about Shakespeare for 24 hours you know” he teased back with an amused shake of his head, he’d probably need a few drink breaks between but he could and he would be enthusiastic too “But I get the sentiment” he teased drumming his fingertips over the hand he was holding.

The way Han spoke about his future as though he could already picture it gave Jae confidence, most people’s reaction, when he told them he wanted to be an author, was to tell him how hard it was going to be or how it was a penniless kind of job but Han had always been the one who pushed him to go towards his goals and didn’t seem to put any limit on them “God I hope so, I have so many stories I want to share with the world” he admitted with a shy smile, Han had seen a bit of Jae’s writing style, he was definitely into writing little romantic poems and notes which he often gave to his lover. Though he wasn’t so confident when it came to publicly sharing his work. When Han started talking about fears the dhampir went quiet to let him explain how he felt about it all “You know when you think about it, everyone lives their life like that, no one is truly invincible and anything could happen” he met Han’s doe eyes, he accepted it was worse for a celestial as they were naturally treated as prey on the supernatural ranks “It’s okay to feel the fear Han, the key part is not letting it paralyze you” because then it won and you lived your existence never truly reaching for the things you wanted.

He realized his question could put a lot of pressure on Han right after he said it and so he went a little quiet as he waited for the celestial to speak and process what Jae was asking him “I don’t think that’s true” he admitted with a half-smile “Maybe not consciously perhaps but I think there’s always been a part of you searching for family of sorts” it explained why Han held on so tightly to the people he let in and the animals he cared for, he wanted people to care for him the way he did them. “I’m just glad you feel like you can trust me with the more vulnerable parts of you” he admitted in a soft tone as he met his warm gaze “Knowing the things you want most, that’s important to me” he admitted as he bit his lip “Because as someone who loves you I want to see you achieve them” he hoped that made sense, the same way Han clearly wanted to see him make something out of his passion for writing.

His eyes softened as Han insisted his heart was easy to be broken but only by him, Jae could relate to that too, he’d always been the kind of person to brush hurt off and not let it get to him too badly but when Han had disappointed him, that had felt like something entirely different, it stung in his chest and made him feel things he’d never felt before “I guess that makes me really important” he admitted with a half-smile, it scared him a little that he had the power to hurt someone so badly but then he was reminded that also meant he could bring Han a lot of joy and happiness, things he deserved. “Well good, because I am about as graceful as an elephant when it comes to dancing” he teased with a defeated shake of his head because he knew before the night was out he would give in and dance with the celestial “Believe me I don’t need ballroom or alcohol to fall for you all over again” he spoke quite sincerely because he was getting so incredibly lost in the soft laughter the celestial was giving along with the bright look in his eyes that completely lit up his face.

Tonight was about finding a place where they were happy with one another again and while he would love for it to be entirely filled with laughter and silly jokes, he knew they had to touch on the harder topics and reconcile that part of their relationship and from the open way Han was talking tonight, Jae truly felt like they were taking a step in the right direction. He could feel the way Han’s hand trembled a little as he got all the words out one by one, admitting that he felt he was wrong by what he did and also assuring Jae that he didn’t intend on doing so again, and Jae believed him, that he had truly learned and grown from their time apart and become a stronger person for it “I get it Han, it’s like me with my parents, no matter how much I tell myself differently, I still care for what they think and I still second guess every choice I make because of it” sometimes things were programmed in you and they were hard to shake but Jae was working on it and it became clear Han wanted to do the same.

He could hear the sense of doubt in the celestial’s voice as he spoke which made the dhampir bite his lip, even now it seemed that Han tended to doubt his own worth in Jae’s eyes which he supposed was understandable when you realized everyone Han ever cared about had upped and left him one way or another “Right” he responded to the question which came out as a weak noise which made Jae frown a little “I won’t give up on you because you are someone worth fighting for Han and I care about you in a way I’ve never felt before” he nodded softly holding his gaze as he spoke. It seemed the both of them had been struggling with the feeling like the other might be gone the next day “You’re not the only one scared of that you know” he spoke softly “Sometimes I wonder if I’m going to wake up from the dream and you won’t be there” he nodded a little, especially with how flighty Han could be at times.

“But we can’t wallow in that fear or we’ll forget to make the most of the time we have together” he prompted and then smiled politely at the waiter who brought the food, murmuring a thank you and letting go of Hanseol’s hand to take a long drink from his glass and then pick up his silverware “This smells absolutely amazing” he admitted feeling his mouth-watering from the smell of it alone, he eyed Han’s meal and nodded approvingly “You always seem to know the best places to go for food” he commented and raised a brow “What’s your secret?” he challenged him with a chuckle letting the harder topics wash away.

He felt like he just got rained down by dozens of bricks all over again, it felt heavy on him and in him, he felt like he just disappointed someone he loved very much with those words alone. He didn’t mean to make it that way but then again, Han didn’t have any experience with this, he wasn’t good at wording stuff and with Jae being the recipient and receiver to the end of his words, it made the Celestial feel pressured, so to say. What if he said something that will offend Jae? What if he disappointed him with what he’s about to say or what he’s already said? There were so many what if’s in his head, he wasn’t sure what to make of it now and it’s making his palms sweaty again, the air felt cold and he could feel his chest tightening, his throat feels constricted and no air seemed to come in and out. It was a perfect first step that will end up making him go spiraling down in a panic attack. Shit.

Thankfully, Jae came to rescue, quite literally again, this time. He finally felt like his whole burden lifted up when Jae said that trying was the real thing. “I know… I want to make this work too, I’m willing to do everything. I wanted to try and make all of this work, so we’ll last longer. I told you I want to have a future with you, Jae. I wasn’t lying.” He didn’t what else he should say, mainly because he didn’t know what to say. He’s been in this relationship for 4 months but he had no idea what he actually needed to do which needs to change very soon. He needed to do a few research again, god knows when that’ll end for him. It’s okay, this is for Jae, he wanted the best for him. “Then that’s enough for me. Tell me you want to, and I’ll take it with me for as long as I live, I promise. Your confession of love, that’s all I wanted” he reassured, his grip on his hand never faltered, not once. It was tight but not too much that it will bruise or leave a mark on the dhampir.

“I honestly wouldn’t give a damn where life takes us, so long as we’re together. I just want to be with you. Before this, everything else was so trivial I didn’t even care about them. You gave my life more meaning than it initially was, instead of living because I feel indebted to the world to survive, I want to live because I want to, so I can spend my future with you without worrying that I’ll lose you,” his tone was soft as he didn’t want to pressure Jae, it was the last thing he would do honestly. He wanted to tell him that his love for him surpasses so many things. There is still that worry about having to leave, but he didn’t want to think of that now. For as long as he’s breathing, he’s not alone. Han was sure he had a grin so wide his cheeks was almost hurting from the soreness, and he didn’t miss the sign where he noticed he was glowing a tad bit brighter than before. Giddiness does that to him. So, Jae wanted to move in very soon but he wanted it to be under a process and Han can respect that, of course, it gives him something to look forward to.

A scoff escaped him when Jae said he could actually talk about Shakespeare 24 hours long, of course, he would, “And even though I wouldn’t understand a single thing because of the Shakespearean language, I would keep listening to you say all those stuff because that means I can fawn over your voice and the enthusiastic look on your face when you talk about something you like, I swear you look twice as handsome” he cooed, clearly reveling at this moment with him. He didn’t want it to end because if it ends, all he’ll have is a memory of it and that wasn’t enough for him. As time flies by, Han could feel himself becoming more and more selfish for Jae. The way he drummed his fingers on his, sends a tingling sensation for him, he felt like a child who quite literally got a whole jar of candy handed over to him. That’s how giddy and excited he is about the date. The food and the cheesy talks, those were just the beginning of things. “You can start practicing it with you if you want, I’m always here to hear anything you want to say, Jae. I can be your personal listener,” he offered, a wide grin masking his youthful features, and the way his eyes crinkled up at every smile he gave toward the dhampir, it showed how much he cherished their company together even if Han would be away more times than he’d actually be back at their place, “I’ll be your personal everything.”

The content look on his face says it all, no words could describe the happiness he’s relishing in. That serious topic held his fears, every single one of them, he wasn’t sure if he could talk about them without trembling in front of Jae. Unfortunately, he could clearly see that his hands had been trembling since the very beginning, the moment he opened his mouth. And Jae, out of everyone, knows how easy it was to detect if he was in any way lying about anything when he looks him straight in the eye. “I don’t want it to paralyze me, I don’t. But I don’t know how to stop that feeling, sometimes when you’re plagued by fear, you do stupid things… you tend to let your actions speak for you and they always end up bad. I don’t know if I can stop that, I need someone to look after me, it’s embarrassing but… I hope you can do the bare minimum of looking after me so I don’t do stupid things.” He swore he almost teared up because Han didn’t like to depend on people, everyone knows that, and opening himself up was already a challenge, much less begging.

“I didn’t know how to trust people before… I’m sure you can understand why, everyone I care about always upped and left, one way or another, I don’t try to get close or attached to anyone else because of that same reason… I don’t want to be hurt again. And if you leave, it will break me. So thank you, for telling me you won’t leave me. I know you sincerely mean it and that means the world to me” he murmured softly, he knew Jae wasn’t wrong when he said he had no idea what the future has in store for them, he didn’t either. He’s just gonna hope that nothing comes in between them and try his very best to make sure their relationship stay for a very long time. Family, it feels like a foreign thing altogether. But the more he heard about the idea of it from Jae’s own mouth, perhaps there is some truth to that. Maybe he did want a family. “I guess so… I never really thought of it in that way… I just wanted to have people in my life. I wanted to know what it feels like to lay my life for the people I love.” Okay, maybe he did want a family. As someone who loves you… His lips quirked slightly and Han scrunched his nose up, god knows how much he loves hearing that over and over again. “Can you say that again?” his voice was timid, and it felt like he was doubting his own words, slightly reluctant but it didn’t mean he didn’t want to hear it again.

His right hand extend itself to pinch Jae’s right cheek and giggled gleefully, “at least you’ll be my graceful elephant if anything, so anything doesn’t really matter. A very handsome and attractive golden-hearted reckless elephant…” This is why he made the restaurant was cleared off everything and everyone except the chef and waiter alone, those are the only two people there other than them both. “But I’ll drench you with alcohol just so I can get you to dance, you’re right,” he made a gesture as if he was saying ‘my eyes are on you’ with his two fingers and grinned bashfully, “you and I are gonna dance one way or another tonight, baby, I’ll make sure of it” he chuckled half-heartedly, he was sure at this point his glow kept glowing brighter as time flies by. Like what Jae told him earlier, tonight was all about them. And with what he had planned for the entire evening, they have plenty of time to have fun with one another, he wanted to remind the dhampir how it felt like to be carefree with just them.

“You and I, we’re gonna work our way out of this. I’m sure of it.” He knew there was that problem with Jae’s family but he knew there will be a time when they will resolve that problem. Maybe… Perhaps, one day. He knew what they meant to Jae and while he may not say it, he knows that they meant so much to him. “I hope that day will never come, I hope we will never leave one another… no matter what happens.” Actions usually speak louder than words, Han knows that. But he’s not sure how to say that. He brought his hand up and pressed his lips firmly against his knuckle, holding it like he didn’t wish to let it go. Ever. “Tomorrow when you wake up, I’m still gonna be there. I promise not to leave like that. I’m gonna wake up next to you and you’re gonna do the same. We’ll work our way through and live our life to the fullest.” There was so much determination in his tone that many could mistake it as if Han was stating something. When Jae asked how he usually managed to find the best places for food, Han had a blush resting on both his cheeks, and chuckled, “when you like something, you usually get the best for it, I like to eat so I find the best places for food,” he grinned widely, he was glad to see his dhampir eating so well. “Eat up, I wanna see you all full and content because you’re gonna get tired after this” he winked playfully.

Jae could definitely tell that Han was nervous tonight, he felt it in the way he kept averting his gaze here there and everywhere and the way his palms were slightly sweaty where they met with his, he didn’t mind the nerves as long as they didn’t scare him off “Okay” he nodded slightly “Then why don’t we start making plans” he suggested as he looked back at Han “It doesn’t have to be anything big right now but let’s talk about it, let’s talk about the things we want to do together and the places we want to go and what we see our future looking like” Jae had perhaps at one point been a little scared of commitment and what being in a relationship with someone who seemed ready to settle down could mean but now he was ready to hear it out and figure out what the two of them wanted from this. If he was going to risk his parent’s disapproval on this he wanted to know exactly what Han saw in this relationship and how that fit with his own dreams.

Han was holding on his hand so tightly that it was making him smile, knowing how he was drawing strength from the touch they were sharing meant a lot, Jae definitely drew a lot of his own strength from Han, he was the one who made Jae truly believe in his writing, the way he always fawned over the notes he wrote for him or wanted to read whatever he was working on, he felt important and like his works was worth something. “Me neither” he admitted with a smile “A place is a place, Evermore isn’t my hometown or even anywhere I specifically picked for emotional reasons” he shrugged his shoulders “But it is the place I met the guy I fell head over heels for” he chuckled softly his fingers twitching a little as they talked “So what would that mean for you” he pursed his lips “Moving in…” he nodded “When you first offered it was as friends and I feel like it would be different now so I want to hear how you see it” he nodded a little.

He laughed softly, scrunching up his nose in amusement as Han talked about not understanding what the heck Jae was on about when he went into literature mode, honestly, he wasn’t sure the majority of the population understood what he was on about, native speaker or not but those works definitely spoke to him in a way that he could barely describe. Which was ironic considering he was a writer and wording things was quite literally his role. “You’re cute when you pretend you know what I’m on about with that completely clueless look in your eyes” he chuckled because Han had a lot of physical tells which gave him away, it’s what made him such a bad liar. It made Jae smile when Han said he could practice telling his stories to Han, he had always been a little apprehensive when it came to sharing his work, he always doubted himself or thought people might think of him differently if they saw the way his mind worked on paper but he knew Han would never think less of him for it, which meant he was probably the perfect person to practice reading his work to and begin to share it beyond what he had to hand in to his tutors “Okay” he nodded sharply “I’ll prepare a few drafts for you to read” he bit his lip “But you have to promise not to laugh at them” he blushed softly clearly impacted by idea.

It felt a little surreal, being here with him after all the pain they had been through lately but he felt so much better for it, he felt like they had opened a door to honestly that hadn’t been there before and now they could restart this on the premise that things would be better. He believed they would be better which was something he couldn’t before when they parted ways “I understand that facing your fears isn’t something that you can just do, certainly not overnight either but” he tilted his head a little “Don’t you think things will feel just a tiny bit easier if we face it together, so that those fears aren’t just bottled up inside you and kicking up a storm” he hoped that offered some comfort to Han, Jae wasn’t him to know he was stronger than the fragile frame that Han seemed to paint him as sometimes and that he could handle the harder times “I’ll be here for you to lean on when the weight gets too heavy” he squeezed his hand because he could see how hard it was for Han to ask for help, even from someone he was close with.

Things definitely were stacked against them, with Han constantly having to answer to his past the things he went through before the two of them even met and Jae, he had his own issues with the very idea of this relationship, none of them was even anything to do with Han, it was the expectations that his parents put on his shoulders to be this perfect example son and knowing exactly how they would react to the person who meant the most to him. “I understand being scared of getting hurt more than you probably know” it was exactly why he kept prolonging the inevitable and keeping a distance from his family right now “You mean so much to me Han, I don’t even want to have to think about either of us leaving” which was probably naive but that’s how he felt about it. Hearing the way Han talked about what he saw for his future it was clear he had never really believed any of it would actually be a reality and so he pushed it to the back of his mind “And how does it feel for you? Having someone to care about?” it was important for Jae to understand the way Han felt about everything so that he could be the best partner possible for him.

When Han asked him to say that again he giggled softly, blushing slightly as his gaze dropped but then he lifted his head again and smiled “I love you, Han” he did, there was no doubt in his mind about that, no nagging feeling in his stomach telling him otherwise, despite everything that they went through, he loved him. He laughed when Han pinched against his slightly flushed cheek “Well true, at least it’s probably only your toes in danger” he teased softly and raised his drink to his lips again, taking a long sip of it and then swallowing it down, if he was dancing tonight then he should probably work on getting to the point of buzzed “We’ll see about that one” he spoke with a slightly suspicious gaze in Han’s direction “It’s probably in your interests to avoid it though, don’t complain to me when your feet hurt tomorrow” he smirked a little but he knew the star’s heart was set on it and he couldn’t bring himself to say no when he looked so giddy and excited the way he did today.

The confidence in Han’s voice definitely sparked something in him, a grin adorning his lips as he took in the words, they were going to work this out, they were going to talk it through and believe in one another and find the trust which had been somewhat damaged and knocked about lately. “Me neither, I got a little taste of what my life might be like without you and I hated it, Han, I wanted to come running back the moment I left” but he had also known doing that wasn’t going to solve their problems or make him believe in the relationship again. Things seemed to have worked out the way they should in the end, anyway. He closed his eyes when he felt Han lift his hand to his lips and he pressed a gentle kiss onto it, something the celestial had always done since pretty much the moment they had started dating “And I promise to be there too, we’ll be there for each other, take care of each other” he loved the idea of that, being true partners and equals.

“You are always so diligent” he commented under his breath as he looked down at his food and then cut up a few pieces and took a bite, swallowing it down and beaming “Mmm that’s so good” he spoke softly “It always impresses me how much thought you put into everything, it shows just how much everything matters to you” it was the same with his work, he always put so much effort and thought into the care of those animals and that same ethnic translated into so many things he noticed about Han. When he said he would be tired he almost choked on the bite of his food and had to reach for his drink while coughing slightly “Tired huh?” he tried to play it off but it was clear the dhampir was a little flustered.

Of course he never thought he would be this jittery and nervous when the date commenced. The Celestial never actually thought any of those would happen, especially the way his hands were all clammy and sweaty by just staring at the sight before him. Everything was optimistic and positive before his arrival, up until the date actually came and now he's faced with a whole year's supply of anxiety eating his entire existence bit by bit. "Start making plans?" for a brief while there, Hanseol was a bit confused and his eyes grew twice the size as he looked over the dhampir with a confuzzled expression masking his youthful face, and a pout resting on his lips, "Oh! You mean what we plan? Yeah sure of course, let's do that" he nodded profusely in enthusiasm, the way his smile stretched out to his eyes upon hearing suggestion made him wonder how a future with Jae would be like. Chaotic for sure, but it would be blissful and the thought of it already sent him flying to cloud nine.

"I want to go hiking…" he murmured, the idea of it just popped up when he was busy racking his head to find any suggestions or ideas that would influence a trip in the future, he would love to take Jae somewhere and spend it with him, "Swimming while watching the waterfalls…" Most activities he listed in his head usually consisted of just the two of them where they would be granted a much more nearer level to privacy. He never thought there was any other possible way for him to fall for the guy he's in love with any further than he already has, but Jae kept proving him wrong with every word that came out of his mouth. It was no wonder he became a literature major, the dhampir sure had a way with words. "Head over heels? You flatter me too much, baby" he giggled, covering his mouth with one hand while averting her gaze away to hide the reddish hue forming on both his cheeks prominently. Since he was pale, it was easy to spot those. "I came here thinking it's a nice place to start my life anew, a place to grow and learn… didn't expect to find someone that made me understand what love is supposed to be about and how much I can even begin to fawn over someone"

Han always tried to shower Jae with compliments, however most of them were never empty words or sugar coated ones with the intent of making it sound more impactful, they were sincerely from his heart, the one that the latter had a tight grip around. "When I first offered you to move in as roommates, I was just looking at you with those doe eyes filled with hopes that I'd have a companion to share my stories with, that hasn't changed. I still want to go home and lie in your lap and tell you stories, but I also want to kiss you before I go to work and end up snuggling you after a long day at work, I want to see you wear my clothes, I want to smile at the way you would play with Yeontan like a proud boyfriend…" he inhaled and exhaled slowly, his dark mocha hues taking in the beautiful man before him with a smile, "I want to wake up next to you. Every morning." Most of the time, he didn't have the slightest idea on what Jae is on about when he began reciting Shakespeare's work but he always stayed and listened because who wouldn't take the opportunity to listen to that voice? "One, I'm always cute. Two, you were so focused and emotional, it felt like I was watching an actor running his lines."

When Jae agreed to send him a few drafts of his work, Han squealed in excitement, that was purely instinctual and it even surprised the Celestial himself, "You promised okay? I'm gonna hold you to it. I'm gonna mark it. And I won't laugh" he assured, rubbing his thumb on his wrist soothingly as he bit his bottom lip to refrain the enthusiastic giggle. It never crossed his head about facing his fear together, and it was understandable why the fallen star is a bit weirded out by the foreign concept, "I… maybe it's because I never had anyone to start with, so I don't know the concept of taking things together. I've been alone for as long as I can remember" the last line wasn't supposed to sound so rueful but it did, it felt like his persona just jumped out, Hanseol is one of the many that was wrongly mistreated for his identity that he didn't even choose, and it bothered him until recently. "But I am willing to try, I want to do those things. I want to be… healthy." It was a weird choice of words but to Han, it fits his scenario the best, all along his independence had cost him a trust issue between them that placed a wedge in their relationship, he wasn't about to jeopardize Jae's feelings anymore.

The way he's been leading his fears had taken a toll on him, leading him to consume an unhealthy amount of sleeping pills frequently, drowning his sorrows by drinking, up to overworking himself and falling asleep on a desk rather than his comfortable bed. "I don't want to leave you... " he whispered, barely audible but with the proximity between the two of them and Jae's enhanced hearing, the other male would've been able to tune in, "Having someone to care for and knowing that person cares for you all the same, if not more, it gives you more motivation to believe in things that are likely or unlikely to happen. If I believed in fate and destiny, I would definitely believe in them more after this. I would finally know how it feels like to be… important to someone. To know that someone would fight for me… and that I'm not disposable like the hunters make me out to be. And that feeling is a one in a million." It was hard for him to speak out his feelings so outrightly, it makes him feel very vulnerable but he couldn't afford to even come close to the idea of losing Jae.

Those sacred three words that he never thought he'd get tired of listening, it kept hitting his heart like it was pounding the drums. He even placed one hand over his chest and exhaled heavily, "I'll never get used to hearing that…" A scoff did escape him when Jae made it clear that his feet would be more likely to get sore tomorrow, "Bold of you to assume I'm not prepared, I don't have work tomorrow. I'm all yours baby" he purred and winked playfully, tonight would be one of those nights he'd focus on enjoying. "And I did too… a month without felt like a year in a desert without rain, I was dying… I was deprived. I don't want to think about the idea of not having you by my side…" he shook his head and internally flinched at the perspective of it, it was dangerous. His lips lingered on his knuckles as he held onto his hand tenderly, he didn't want to let it go but Jae had to eat and he too, needed to finish his food, "I'm gonna haunt you Jae, take my word for it. I'm not going to let you go. You're mine." There was a hint of possessiveness underlying his serious tone, he may not look the part but the timbre in his voice says enough.

"You matter to me, baby" he grinned sheepishly and continue to stare at him like there was honey dripping from his eyes, "So of course I would put my thoughts into everything because it's the thought that counts, right? You told me that." The moment Jae choked and had to get a drink to wash it down, Hanseol actually panicked momentarily, his eyes growing as wide as saucers upon seeing the reaction elicited by his boyfriend until he saw the way his body language translated into his flustered state which prompted the Celestial to smirk coyly, "Oh yes, quite tired. I'm gonna keep you up all night, Jae. That's why I took a day off tomorrow."

Jae had a serene look on his face as he watched Han process what he was saying, it was a pretty big step for the dhampir, til now, the only future plans he had really made for himself were to go to college and to eventually get a career in writing, he supposed because his parents pushed their idea of his future onto him so much, he felt like he was rebelling against it by not making plans. But with Han, he wanted to make plans, many plans and hopes and dreams, he wanted to have things to look forward to and to plan, to feel like an active participant in his own life. “Who knew you were the outdoorsy type” he teased with a soft laugh but he liked the sound of both those things, especially because it would just be the two of them “I wanna go to an animal sanctuary just to see you interact with the cute animals” he nodded slightly “And I wanna take you to one of those dessert cafes because of the way you’d light up with the sweets” he giggled a little “And I want to spend Christmas together and do all those little things you do, decorate the house, make gingerbread, wear silly sweaters” perhaps he had thought about this more than he let on.

He smiled softly and shrugged “It’s not flattery, it’s simple facts really, not only did I actually fall on my ass when we first met but” he pressed his lips together thinking how to explain it “You changed everything for me” he lifted his gaze to look at him “You made me start thinking about myself and what I wanted, who I was when it was just me, no parents judging and no siblings to try and live up to” and he would be ever grateful for that realization. When Han spoke about his own experience and how his life had changed too, Jae blushed softly but continued to look into his eyes “So I guess we both kinda snuck up on each other” he spoke gently and judged Han’s foot gently with his own under the table.

Jae had to admit he was a little worried to ask what the whole living together thing would entail because he really had no idea what he wanted when it came to all that. They’d only been dating for what would seemingly be called a short amount of time and frankly, he was afraid that Han might see him differently after a while or they’d find out they weren’t suitable in one way or another. He was breathless as he watched the star with eyes of awe as he imagined each and every one of those things, holding one another after a long day and just chatting about everything and anything, walking the dogs hand in hand, going to bed completely tangled up in one another and waking up the same way “I want that too” he spoke shyly as he searched Han’s gaze “I’m just scared of rushing this” he admitted with a slight nod of his head “I don’t want anything to change between us” and he knew to move in would change things and they had no idea in what ways, it was a big step and he wanted to make sure they were ready.

The excitement Han had at the idea of seeing his work made him smile “You showed me your paintings, it only seems right I give you a sneak peek of my work” but he definitely was a little concerned about sharing his work, always worried it wasn’t up to standard and that people wouldn’t understand what he was trying to convey in his stories. He listened attentively as Han talked about the life he had been through til now, he knew the star didn’t like to talk about it and tended to avoid the subject where he could and Jae couldn’t blame him for that, thinking about all the times that Han must have felt so alone and like he had no one he could turn to made the dhampir’s heart hurt a little “That’s okay, I can be patient with you as long as you’re honest with me” he nodded his head “It will be hard for me to let you go through things alone, but if you tell me that’s what you need, I’ll do my best to understand” Jae understood that nature didn’t just immediately go away or fade.

The whisper Han spoke had his heart lurching in his chest, he wanted to forget the dinner and just pull the celestial into his arms, hold him until he understood that Jae wasn’t going anywhere, that he was far too deep for that “Then don’t” he spoke softly back as he held Han’s gaze sternly, he would always protect Han, together or not, he would always protect him. Jae could sense the vulnerability in Han’s voice as he spoke which made his gaze soften as he watched him “You never really had anyone looking out for you so you don’t know when to ask for help because help was never an option” he spoke the words sadly “I think I can help Han, I can protect your heart, be the one who’s there for you when you’re so sad you can’t see the happy times or so scared you forget how to move” he nodded a little “I’ll be there, you can lean on me” and obviously Jae would lean on him right back when things became harder for him, that was what a partnership meant to him.

The way Han spoke felt a little like a roller coaster, from the way he got all fluttery when Jae told him he loved him to the way he got suggestive about the night they might have ahead of them and then the way he described what it was like for him being apart, Jae felt a mix of all those emotions too, they came and went. There was a certain possessiveness and protectiveness he had over Han, there was sadness from losing him, there was anger about the things Han had said but most of all there was love “I’m yours” he responded, summing all of those feelings up into one sentiment. “I did tell you that” he spoke softly and nodded “I just wanted to remind you how much I appreciate the effort you put in, especially when you don’t need to impress me”. Jae laughed as he ate a few more bites of his food thoroughly enjoying it and downing another glass of wine, enough to start getting him a little buzzed “Who’s to say I won’t be the one keeping you up all night” he winked “You have a lot of making up to do after all” he grinned mischievously as he finished the last of his food and set down his silverware ready for what came next.

Before this, Han never quite saw himself to be an adventurous guy. But now that those thoughts are starting to bombard his head with one after the other slowly as time passes by, he was sure if given the year alone, he can muster up the courage to try every single suggestion. Yes, even pouting his way into poking Jae to go on a haunted house journey by visiting all 12 different places that says that. “I never thought I was the outdoor type too, what can I say, you make me do crazy things for you babe” he cooed, sending a playful wink his way as the deep laughter rumbled against his chest, everything felt so on point he was elated. Upon hearing what Jae wanted to do, Han found himself gaping at the dhampir in awe, an awestruck reaction shadowed the entire Celestial’s face, “Wow… an animal sanctuary? That’s benevolent of you, Jae. I mean I know my boyfriend is humble and kind-hearted, and that you have a soft spot for animals in general, but damn I never thought you would ask to do that."

After all, taking care of an animal isn’t an easy job, it takes heavy precision and discipline as well as a commendable amount of patience to accompany them, that’s only for one, much less the lot of them. The idea of dessert cafes got him beaming like a child who was just offered a whole jar of sweets for bribery, “Okay you got me there. What… kind of sweets?” he squinted his eyes questioningly as his stare bore into Jae’s own dark hues in wonder. Christmas? It almost brought tears to Hanseol, seeing as the doe-eyed Celestial never celebrated Christmas, much less had a Christmas celebration. “Christmas?” he stuttered, blinking rapidly a few times as his eyes dropped to the table, clearly pondering, “I… that’s a good idea, Jae. It would be my first time celebrating Christmas, and not being alone too” a grin makes its way up to his lips as he tilted his head to the side so he was granted another angle of his boyfriend.

“Mistletoe. I always wanted to see all the excitement for that, what the rave is about and all…” The sudden nudge against his own foot made the Celestial’s blush deepened. He was sure the faint hue is no longer faint. “You’re making me a tomato, Jae…” he whined and pushed both hands into his cheeks, feeling the way it warms up to him, “Ugh…” While he stared at the male before him, Han did wonder what Jae was so worried about the moving in part, it would only signify their ties together when it comes down to measuring their significance to one another and of course, start a new chapter in their lives together.

It wasn’t until he realized it was pressuring the dhampir because things might not work out in the future and Jae was just worried about what would become of him, which prompted the fallen star to furrowed his brows into a frown, “Nothing will change between us, if anything we’ll be closer than before, I really want this genuinely Jae” his eyes were already pleading with the dhampir’s, truthfully he wanted to be sure that Jae would be living somewhere safe too, “I want you to stay with me… you always go back and forth, even I get tired and I don’t even commute my way here. I live in the west side, a place a bit secluded and quiet, I want to cook food for you when I don’t have to go into the office and you just need to attend your classes. I know we’ve only been dating for a while… But I want you to be a part of my life” he admittedly truthfully, the idea of losing him scared him to oblivion.

“But I don’t want you to push yourself into making a decision… take your time, for as long as you need, I’ll wait” he promised, his lips forming a small smile. He wouldn’t lie and say this didn’t strike him and made him slightly upset but he’s still young in so many aspects, he didn’t know what Jae was worried about. “I showed you my paintings because it is for you, it’s about you” he grinned and caressed his face lovingly, “One day I’m going to paint our story” It was one promise he’ll keep forever. He’s not used to being so dependent but it was a nice change, “I’m gonna try. I don’t like being alone so I’m sure it would not take me forever” At least, that’s what he hoped. The moment Jae said he can help protect his heart, Han felt himself faltering, his knees buckled and had it not been to the fact that he was just sitting on the chair, he would’ve fallen, “I don’t know what to say… nobody’s ever wanted to do any of those for me, much less all of them for me” he was sure the tears were already brimming and threatening to fall.

He stood up and went toward him, pulling him up to his level and wrapping both his arms around him before hugging him as his life depended on it, “Thank you” he obviously tried to wipe the tears away because he didn’t want to show it to him, he was so vulnerable. He pressed his lips against his left cheek before returning back to his seat and beamed per usual. His words got so close to home and he could feel his heart swelling up in happiness, this is it, Jae is his. He said it himself. He was halfway eating his food when Jae responded to him like that, causing the Celestial to choke and grapple momentarily before grabbing the wine glass and down it all, “Making me choke to death… is that your way to send me off?”

It was really nice, to talk about all the things they wanted to do together, no matter how small and dumb, it gave him things to look forward to and let him see a potential future for them, one where they did fun things and were smiling at the silly comments one another made. One where they were a family, a small one albeit but a family nonetheless. “Well I know how much you care about animals and I love them too and I figured we could meet some of the animals and I could save up to make a donation” he blushed softly wondering if Han would think it was silly, he just liked the idea of helping animals that were in need, even if he couldn’t take them all home, it felt like he could make a small difference anyway “Plus the chance to get to cuddle cute animals, who could resist” he laughed gently and smiled.

He had a lot more ideas than just those, these were just the ones that came to mind right now but there were many times Jae had been somewhere and seen something and thought about how nice it would be to do it with Han, like when he saw a couple throwing coins into a fountain and making wishes or seeing people rushing to head out for their summer holidays to some other country. “Any sweets, they do ice cream and sorbet and all kinds of brownies and cookies” he laughed softly, he’d been taken there by his classmates one night because he was being especially mopey that day and it had lifted his spirits but also really reminded him of the celestial knowing how much he loved it. There were so many little things in his life that made him think of Han, he was such a big part of it now and Jae wanted him to continue to be.

The way Han responded to his suggestion of Christmas made the dhampir lift his gaze intently, meeting Han’s for a moment with a smile, his lips parted in surprise when he admitted he’d never celebrated it “Oh…” he spoke softly “Of course you probably hadn’t…” he hadn’t even thought about it before but Han seemed to be pretty positive about the idea “Well then we’ll do it properly, tree, decorating, presents, going out caroling, cozy evenings with hot cocoa and candy canes” he smiled softly “Mistletoe everywhere in the house”he giggled softly. Seeing the way Han was blushing made Jae give him a gentle friendly smile “You still look gorgeous as ever” he assured him with a shake of his head in disbelief.

Jae went quiet to listen as Han talked about what he imagined them living together might be like and he nodded softly, he was glad to hear Han say that he didn’t think anything would change between them but Jae knew he was taking a big risk on this which is why he didn’t want to rush the decision or regret it down the line. “You have no idea how perfect all of that sounds to me” he admitted as he reached out take Han’s hand within his own, his eyes dropping to where they touched “and you’re right it would make my life easier in some ways but uh….” he didn’t really know how to breach this topic “Have you thought about how it might make it harder in others?” he spoke the words really quietly “My parents, they’ll find out if I pull out of the dorm and they’ll want to know why Han” he nodded a little “And I can’t lie to their faces, I’m a terrible liar” he pursed his lips “And I want to be positive and hope they will be okay with us but” his voice was shaking just a little “I also have to be prepared for the possibility they won’t” he looked up at Han and swallowed.

“I just want you to know how big of a deal this is for me” he spoke softly and nodded slightly “It’s not that I don’t want to Han, god I want to, but it’s my entire future I’d be putting on the line if they turn their backs on me” he nibbled on his bottom lip as he met his gaze hoping Han might understand a little the conflict going through his mind when it came to all this. When Han talked about painting their story Jae couldn’t help but grin because for a moment it seemed Han had forgotten all about his injury and the pure joy of the idea of painting had taken over him “I can’t wait to see it” he spoke softly in an encouraging tone, he really couldn’t, considering how beautiful he thought ever piece that Han made was, one based on their whole story would be an actual masterpiece he would cherish the view of forever.

Jae knew how hard it was for Han to show vulnerability, he spent the last few years of his life trying to fight every emotion even close to that he was sure “Okay, I can be patient, I know things aren’t going to change in a minute” he spoke softly watching as Han raised from his seat and came around the table, Jae could see the emotion in his eyes and was about to tell him not to cry as he allowed him to pull him up. But he quieted the moment Han wrapped his arms around him and he closed his eyes taking in the moment as one hand pressed against the small of Han’s back and the other at the base of his neck, holding him “You are so welcome” he spoke gently, he intended to keep that promise, to always protect Han’s heart and be the person he could turn to for anything “I’m here for you, always” he smiled into the gentle kiss that Han pressed against his cheek and then returned to his seat.

The way Han was grinning from ear to ear made him smile gently, blushing as he dropped his gaze for a moment, especially because of Han’s response to his slightly suggestive teasing, he chuckled to himself “Oh you can’t die yet baby, we haven’t even had dessert” he gave him a mischievous look and pressed his tongue to the roof of his mouth “I’m thinking something strawberry” he commented as he picked up the menu to cast his eye over.

It was clear as day now, albeit not really the daytime setting for them at the moment, but he knew something for sure. When he sees Jae, he only thinks of one thing now; this is the guy he'd laid his life down for, the man he promised to marry one day in the future, the person he will promise to love and cherish until Death decided to cut his life string upon the said time. That is who Jaesung Moon is to him. His moon and sun. His life and death. His everything. "You paid attention to what I like and dislike, huh? Why am I not surprised" he giggled, covering his mouth with one hand to suppress that shyness from jumping out on the dining table and break out into a dance, "Such an attentive boyfriend" he cooed, his right hand almost tempted to pinch his cheeks because he couldn't hold himself back anymore on that. "We can donate every month under our name if you want, we can start this month. How about… every 14th?"

He pursed his lips lightly because this needed some thinking. "That's our anniversary, we'll put a donation under Hansung. And I know you will whine about how you want to save it up and put it in your name but baby" he clasped his hand and put it up in the thin air for both of them to stare at, "we're together. Han and Jae comes in package, Hansung. We can pick a day to play with them, and clean the compound while doing volunteer work, it'll be fun" Hanseol had already done that a few times before, it became a routine for him up until he got a bit busier and couldn't even spare enough time for Yeontan and Byul, much less other animals. Now he can even share that with Jae. "You could cuddle me though, cute animals… I'm a cute bunny, you have a freaking bunny slash star for a boyfriend, dude" he teased. The idea of spending more of his leisure time making up activities together as they go along the way, it was something Han look forward to. The fallen star groaned in response to the dhampir's answer to dessert, "Great now I'm craving ice cream… I want strawberry sorbet" How shocking.

"I want to plan a summer vacation for next year babe, let's go to Hawaii or Malta… bathing under the sun, I get to see you shirtless… those abs you've been working on deserves some outside world recognition, Jae" he winked playfully and pointed his index finger to the direction of the latter's tummy. "Knowing me we'd probably spend an entire week at the resort alone because I wouldn't want to go anywhere or get out of bed" he giggled sheepishly, his cheeks flushing slightly. He'll also get to celebrate their Christmas together, his first Christmas ever, being excited would be a great understatement. "I want to try and make egg nog too… I heard people kept buzzing about but never really found out what's all the hype" And honestly, they would be far too drunk to even care probably. If Jae kept telling him how gorgeous he was, he would have fainted from all the heat rushing up to his cheeks to which he quickly replaced it with a glass of wine. "Oh… I do like the idea of decorating the house with lots of mistletoe. Every corner. Every room… we can even change the rule" he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively only to cover his mouth with a laugh.

At first, he didn't think it would be a big deal for Jae to move out of his dorms to come live with him. It didn't seem like a big deal when he invited him over to do the same thing when they were friends. That was until he listened to the dhampir's reasonings intently and gaped, of course, how could he forget about that problem in hand? Jae had always struggled to get out of his parents' grip but they also controlled his finance and well, who would want to be disowned by their own family for no goddamn reason? "I... I'm sorry. I totally forgot about that, baby I'm sorry" he held his head down and fiddled with his fingers underneath the table, biting his bottom lip in apprehension because how could he not think about that? However, Han didn't try to hide it that he was slightly upset with how things were going, no matter how mature the Celestial can be in his own right, there were times when he acted exactly like what a teenager freshly out of high school would. "Nevermind, it's… not something you should rush, I get that. I truly do" he assured, smiling gently to support his claims but it was hard to do that when he kept filling his head with pessimistic thoughts that he could be losing Jae one day.

"You are not ready to tell them about your relationship… about us. I understand that." Unfortunately, the smile didn't quite reach up to his eyes which said everything considering how expressive the doe-eyed Celestial can be, especially around Jae. He didn't like this topic, as childishly as that might make him out to be, Han spent his entire life living in the dark, dimming his own light and glow because some things just aren't meant to be so he kept silent about it. "Let's change the topic, we wouldn't want to make the mood go sour right?" he grinned, this time it didn't feel as forced, so it showed clearly on his face. He never forgot about his existing injury at the moment but the idea of being able to paint them in the future again, it gave him a sliver of hope. It wasn't much but it was there, flickering. "When I can actually paint I'll let you know then" he beamed but waved his injured hand in front of Jae sadly, "Let's hope that it will…" Despite the somber tone in his voice, he wanted to feel happy.

Today was all about making up to his boyfriend so that is what he'll do. Getting to hug him there, in the middle of the spacious area of the hotel restaurant where it's just them, it made his heart flutter. "Thank you again for being patient with me… I know it can't be easy to deal with me" he had an awkward smile because at the moment, Han was really wondering if he was good enough for Jae. That always however, did embedded itself into his heart, enough to keep him going on with their date today. He felt the temperature rising, or maybe it was just him, he suddenly felt hot. "Dessert? Well well well look at you, all ready to order… I would love to leave you to it, but" he pulled the menu from him as he walked over and placed it on the table before pulling him up from his seat, "You can order them for room service later on" he whispered and acted as if he was smoothing his shirt down before extending his hand out to him with a smirk.

"Would you give me the honor of having this dance with you? I know you're not drunk yet but" as if on cue, the classical music played from a distance, a ballroom next to the restaurant, "I really want to dance with my boyfriend. Just once is fine. Please?" He had his doe eyes out for display as he still waited for him, "But if you don't feel comfortable with it, we don't have to, it's totally fine, you and I can just watch and hear them play" he quickly tried to assure him because he didn't wish to push him.

“Of course I paid attention” he laughed lightly “You don’t let someone into your life like that without thinking about the things that make them happy” Jae smiled brightly at Han because he enjoyed knowing him and thinking about things that are important to him. He nodded slightly at the idea of donating to the sanctuary, he didn’t know why but he kinda loved the idea of sponsoring an animal and that meaning they gave it the proper care it needed. Visiting was a bonus too but not the main driver behind Jae wanting to do so. “Does that make 14 our number?” he raised his brows for a moment, he’d always like that number anyway so it worked for him and he was sure it would work for some cute gift ideas in the future. It was funny how Han immediately knew that he’d want to pay for it but he wasn’t completely opposed to the idea of jointly doing it, then it became theirs and that felt special “Alright as long as you let me contribute some to it” he gave Han a scrutinizing gaze “And we have to pick which animal to sponsor too” he widened his eyes realizing that would be pretty hard to do considering how much they both loved animals.

“Well I’m not complaining about cuddling you either” he teased with a laugh, watching Han from over the table and smiling gently “But cuddling you while also cuddling cute animals” he pressed a hand to the back of his head as though he was swooning and giggled softly. “You’re always craving sweets, it’s nothing new to me” he commented and poked his tongue out at Han “We can always order some later or take a walk and find some cute little ice cream shop” he shrugged, he wasn’t sure what Han actually had planned and he didn’t want to step on any of his plans. The idea of getting away for the summer sounded nice but it immediately reminded Jae of how much it cost to go abroad and made Jae grimace slightly “That’s a long way to go for the summer” he admitted and blushed softly “Maybe a road trip to California?” though he knew how Han felt about cars so maybe a long drive was out of the question. He did blush when Han pointed out his abs and hid his face slightly “They’re barely there” he spoke basically and rolled his shoulders back.

“Well you do enjoy staying in bed most weekends, even though I tried to drag you out to the market with me for like three weeks in a row” in the end Jae had been won over and crawled back into bed with Han who always told him he wanted to make the most of the time they had together. Thinking about Christmas and having someone to spend it with in Evermore felt really special to him, he was often thinking about how he wouldn’t be with his family at times like that but now he had Han to spend it with “I’ve never actually had eggnog” he admitted with a gentle laugh “The sound of it always put me off” he admitted as he gazed back at Han “So I guess we’ll get to try it together...or probably get drunk on it together, I heard the stuff was pretty strong” he giggled at the idea of hiding mistletoe all over the house just to have more excuses than they already had to make out “Just be careful other people don’t use it against you” he teased with a wary look in Han’s direction “Rules and all” he eyed him with a mischievous look.

He looked up at Han and gave him a vulnerable look, he knew how much this relationship meant to the celestial and it meant a whole lot to him too but Jae had this irrational fear that if his parents didn’t accept his relationship and cut his finances then he wouldn’t be able to cope, which was probably a little dramatic considering Eun was in the city but he hated having to rely on another else to get by even Han “I’m not saying never Han” he spoke intently as he leaned forward meeting his gaze “Believe me everything you said you wanna do, I wanna do that too” his eyes softened a little, he couldn’t help but feel like he was letting Han down a little by not being strong enough to cut that rope right now. “It’s not about you, I hope you know that” he didn’t want Han to think he was embarrassed to be with him or that he was any less committed to the relationship. “But how about a compromise, for now, I spend more nights at yours” he spoke softly playing with his hands in his lap slightly nervously “They don’t have to know I’m not always at the dorm for now” he hated just changing the subject when he could tell this upset Han.

Jae was glad that Han was trying to see the bright side when it came to his injury “Well we have to make the story first right?” he spoke encouragingly, his smile spreading across his lips slowly “There’s no rushing any of this Han, we have each other and that’s what’s important” at least that’s what was most important to Jae anyway. Tonight had been a whirlwind of emotions so far and the hug they shared was just the head of that particular swirling storm, he held Han close against his chest for a few seconds before he let him go “And thank you for being patient with me too” he spoke it softly “We both have our mountains to climb Han, but with a boost, maybe it’ll feel easier” Jae had to face his parents, Han had to face his past and eventually they would get to the top together. Or at least that was what Jae wanted more than anything. “Oh I wasn’t actually looking at the menu” he teased as he looked up at Han a little suggestively but quickly quieted when he saw his outstretched hand.

Han’s words made a pang of nervousness strike through him as he looked up at the celestial, he was worried about this part because despite how silly it sounded given how clumsy Jae was, there was still a part of him that wanted to impress Han and dancing definitely wasn’t the way to achieve that particular feat. Still, looking at Han’s expression he found his lip quivering a little, he grabbed the wine bottle from earlier and lifted it to his lips downing a large amount and then swallowing hard “Just remember I warned you how bad at it I am” he spoke before he set down the bottle and placed his hand gently in Han’s letting him lead him towards the ballroom, he nibbled on his bottom lip a little nervously about this part but tried to swallow it down “Why do you want me to dance so much?” he asked as he reached his hands up to wrap around Han’s neck and attempted to sway, albeit quite rigidly, along to the music.

A part of him was eternally relieved to hear that response from Jae, his heart kept fluttering there was no way it was going to stop and steady itself now when the dhampir is telling him things that got him reeling for a ride directly to cloud nine. But then again, when it comes down to Jae, Han pretty much adores every single thing he does. "Such an attentive boyfriend" he cooed, squinting his eyes a bit as he tried to pinch his cheeks again because the temptation to do so was strong enough to overpower his own conscience, "My hand is itching to pinch your cheeks and I don't know why" he pointed out and patted his other hand with a sheepish grin. "When I let you inside my life, I intend for you to stay in it a while longer" he murmured softly, his doe eyes kept staring at the dhampir's own dark hues without any hints of backing down, "So thank you for this. For all of this. For being with me."

They definitely had plenty of ups and downs in their relationship but that didn't have to follow them forever and dig a hole every time they try to rekindle their connection. Thankfully, their connection and love never faded away. When Jae asked for clarification whether 14 was going to be their number now, the fallen star nodded enthusiastically and beamed, "Of course. I still find it ironic that our anniversary would fall exactly on Valentine's Day but then every time I see people reciprocating other people's love, I'll be reminded that was the day I plucked my courage to tell you my feelings, call me sappy but that's uber cute" At this point, Hanseol is already known as a cheesy sap. "Fine, but you know I don't like you to think too much on things like that okay? Your genuine feeling and sincerity makes up for it" he knew he had to say it, he saw the insecurity in Jae, he wasn't blind. But most of the time, Han had no idea how to approach it with caution without offending any party.

"Now you're telling me we have to pick one? Jae, come on let's be real here for a sec, tiger, how can we only pick one" he shook his head, laughing at the latter's reaction to it, "Let's just do a random picking in some random generator app you can find on the app store." He scrunched his nose up cutely when he mentioned cuddling him alongside cuddling cute animals, "By cute animals, do you mean Yeontan and Byul too? Because I swear those two know they're cock-blockers…" he grumbled and huffed, clearly not forgetting the times they were interrupted by the two fluffballs, Yeontan especially. "I don't think I can agree to that though Jae… I wouldn't want to share you with any other being when it comes to cuddling. It's written in the cuddling rights." He pointed his forefinger towards the male when Jae called him out for liking sweets, "How can I not when I have sweet things catering to me all the time? Maybe you should stop giving me sweets- No! Nevermind…" he crossed his arms and shuddered at the thought of having his sweet supply being cut off.

He saw the change in Jae's facial expression when he mentioned a summer vacation abroad and that made him purse his lips, why can't they enjoy things? "Road trip?" he wanted to agree to that so badly but then is reminded of his claustrophobic self and averted his gaze downwards while fiddling with his fingers, "I'm sorry I can't give you that." But he was quick to change the subject when Jae said he didn't have any existing abs building, which made Han snort waving his hands teasing him, "Yeah yeah sure…or so you say that now." Han liked to travel but he likes spending time with his loved ones more which was why he always chose to stay in bed with Jae whenever they have the leisure time to do so, "A, markets are a blackhole trap for me, darling. I will end up having no self control and buy the entire snack aisle" That actually happened once, he ended up getting a lot of snacks. "B, I like staying in bed with my baby. Sue me."

Han shook his head once again at the dhampir and fake-gagged, "You're definitely gonna have to try one I'll do this year. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up a knitting class and knit you a baby sweater" Really, that sounds like something Hanseol would actually do just for the fun of it. "I'll be wary of my steps, always. And bold of you to assume I wouldn't just hang up one mistletoe when others come venturing, well except Yeon… he'd love that though."  Can't say he's against all that either, just more reasons to stick his tongue down Jae's throat. Though it was possible to see him throwing a tantrum if someone else had to kiss his boyfriend. The topic of moving in was slowly eating him away but despite being a bit upset and put down by all of the circumstances, he understood why Jae did what he did, and that's enough. "I like the idea of that compromise…" he murmured, hiding the blush setting in his cheeks by turning his head aside, "Just for the record, how often? You already spend at least 3 times a week, won't you be tired commuting here? The west side isn't exactly close by…" he was worried that Jae would end up being tired.

Hearing Jae being all ready to get through all of this with him was more than enough to fuel his fires from within, this is what he wants, yes. "Who says I don't already have a story on my canvas yet?" he replied with a coy smirk, which in a way grew when Jae retorted that he wasn't actually looking at the menu. He wanted to see him dance, Jae could trip on him and he would still laugh and kiss him with affection, it's something he's been wanting to do with the dhampir. "Just dance with me, Jae" he giggled and looked at him with an amused glint when he saw the latter drinking straight from the wine bottle, the way his body grew rigid and stiff did prove it that the dhampir wasn't kidding, so Han guided both of Jae's hands on his waist instead, replacing it with his own hands around his neck. "Because you made me watch Dancing with the Stars" he rolled his eyes playfully, "Just because, I guess." The music was flowing slowly and the way they swayed their bodies to the side slowly started to follow the tempo of the song. He leaned into his ear and whispered, "Stay with me tonight."

Jae laughed when Han said he wanted to pinch his cheeks “don’t make it sound so much like I’m a baby” he commented and pouted a little, no doubt looking like one anyway so he supposed that defeated the point he was making “Good, because I’m not the type of person who gives up easy, I mean look at me, right back with you” he didn’t regret giving Han another chance and he hoped he would never have a reason to. “I don’t find it all that ironic, I mean we did plan our date for that day because we liked the idea of doing something for valentines day” it was really special, finally spilling his emotions for the celestial had been a major relief for him “but it was a really special day” he spoke softly and nodded his head slightly, one he would never forget.

Jae nodded a little and bit his lip “I just want to feel like I’m contributing something to it, we can split it fairly based on how much we get paid” which meant they would be equally giving what they had towards the cause and therefore made Jae feel better about sharing the responsibility “Sometimes I feel…” he paused for a moment as he thought about how to phrase it “Less than you” he admitted softly “And I know how silly that is given the factors involved but I can’t help it” seeing Han’s success made him incredibly proud but it also reminded him of his lack of it. “Yes, we can’t afford to sponsor the entire place, that’s for sure” he laughed and scrunched his nose at the way Han called him tiger “A random generator also works, as long as you don’t insist we spin it again because it picked the wrong one” he snickered and poked his tongue out at him.

“I mean Byul is pretty cute but Yeontan is more like the devil in a cute body” he commented and shrugged his shoulders but Han was right, they always seemed to want attention or treats right when the two of them started getting busy “they don’t like sharing attention” he responded with a laugh and prodded against Han’s shoulder gently “I know how they feel” he spoke softly, his eyes looking back at the celestial like he was his whole world. “The cuddling rights huh? Who’s in charge of writing those?” he giggled softly enjoying how lighthearted and fun this all felt and the way Han seemed so happy and free from worry right now, so different than the version of him that Jae had last seen. “If I stopped giving you sweets, you’d just get them from another source, you’re addicted” he leaned in giving him a scrutinizing look.

It seemed like their ideas of what they could do for summer varied a lot “Well what if we hired one of those trucks with all the space in the back, you could nap the whole way there” he suggested with raised brows, Jae didn’t mind doing long-distance driving and while it would be nice to have someone to talk to he could always just sing along to the radio while Han napped. “We’ll figure something out” he spoke softly though Jae was a little confused as to why a car was a problem and a plane wasn’t but the last thing he wanted to do was push Han when it came to his fears. “Markets are the place we need to go to get groceries every week, it’s no fun shopping on my own, even when you give me your credit card” he laughed shaking his head slightly “I am actually convinced you would never leave the bed if you didn’t have to” he teased.

Jae grimaced remembering sweaters he had been given in the past for Christmas and having to wear them despite how itchy and uncomfortable they were “Yes to the eggnog but maybe we should give the knitting a pass, I have bad memories of itchy sweaters” he laughed softly “We can always choose one for each other online instead” he winked thinking of all the funny designs he had seen for them in the past and chuckled softly. “The valkyr better watch it, I don’t mind giving him a reminder of what happens when he gets too close to my man” he narrowed his eyes a little, he’d agreed to give him a shot but that didn’t mean he was okay with him being all over Han. Jae smiled softly as he stared into Han’s eyes as they talked about compromise “Well I can bring some things to keep at yours right? Maybe a drawer” he spoke the words softly with a light smile “And your worth it, at least 5 nights a week, as long as I can still get my mail from my parents then they won’t know” he stroked against Han’s hand softly “I always wanna be at yours when I’m not anyway so” he gave a slightly sheepish grin.

He smiled softly “I’m sure you have a story but don’t you think there’s a whole big adventure still to come?” they were still young after all and they had so much to do together, as evidenced by all the things they talked about today “I’m looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds” together, that was the key part, they got to continue being together, writing their story together and that was everything. As Jae closed in the gap to dance with Han he had a nervous look on his face, purposely trying to follow the music but not having much success with it, what did feel nice was wrapping his arms around Han and just having him close, being with him after everything that happened. “I did no such thing” he protested and narrowed his eyes “It was just on the channel and you were too stubborn to turn it over” he commented and then sighed at the next words Han said. He leaned in closer to him, head pressing onto his shoulder and letting Han take the lead as they swayed together to the music. He let out a shaky breath when he heard Han’s words and smiled “Tempt me” he whispered back as he rubbed gently against his back.

Scrunching his nose up at the sudden remark Jae said when Han expressed his delight on pinching his cheeks, he shook his head and poked them either way, "It doesn't have to mean you're a baby, Jae…" he paused momentarily as if he was pondering on something before resuming, "Well, to be fair, you are my baby… but not in a literal sense. What I meant was that my awesome boyfriend is cute and handsome at the same time that I couldn't find the control in me to restrain myself from pinching these cheeks" just to make a point, he poked against his cheeks once again. He was in awe when Jae said he wasn't someone who would give up easily, in his head Han was already applauding himself for scoring such a man. He should not mess up this fine second chance he was given. Hanseol was always such a cheesy sap so having the date of their anniversary being the Valentine's Day really had him excited, "Of course we would plan something for Valentine's Day, it's V Day and I wasn't about to stay at home and eat chocolates, even though the idea of that sounded so tempting. I need to do something special for my boyfriend, no?" he giggled sheepishly, "And so I did, it was one of the best days, definitely. Of course, we could easily beat that day any time we want."

If Jae wanted to go to Hawaii? He'd do it. Paris? No problem. Anywhere the dhampir wished to go, the Celestial wanted to fulfill it. If there was something he knew about Jae, it was that the latter is extremely equal when it comes down to anything. Everything. "Of course, we'll do that. It's your idea, I'm just complying because it makes you happy and seeing you happy makes me happy. Besides, volunteering and making those two devils at home jealous is an activity I would gladly partake" he chuckled, he remembered that time he brought back an injured golden retriever puppy who stole his every bit of attention that caused Byul and Yeontan to howl in sadness. It was an interesting day, though Jae had to console Yeontan after that and bribe the Pomeranian with extra treats to get him to forgive Han. Upon hearing that Jae feels lesser than him did hit the fallen star for a quick moment, causing him to fidget in his seat as he stared back at the other male in confusion, "Why would you think you're lesser than me, Jae? You and me, we're the same." Han knew they were in two different categories; Han was already working and had established a good and stable income for himself whilst Jae is still a student who worked part-time but he never saw that as a conflict.

"What's mine is yours, Jae. We both settled on that long ago" he murmured and brushed his thumb against his knuckles reassuringly. "Pfft I won't" Lies. Knowing Hanseol, he would probably do that. It was no wonder Jae knew him inside and out. The doe-eyed Celestial raised his eyebrows in amusement the moment he heard Jae summarizing their two pet dogs, "You know Yeontan is you and Byul is me, right? They are a direct manifestation of their owners and the moment I gave Yeontan's ownership to you, he's yours. So are you saying that like Yeontan, you're a devil in a cute body while I'm just 'pretty cute' in general?" The stupid grin on his face says it all, he was teasing him again, "Are you saying you're cuter than me?" The way he covered his mouth with one hand tells a lot on how dramatic Han could be. "They don't like sharing attention because they're spoiled" he rolled his eyes, Jae definitely spoils them a lot more between the two of them. "But I can't blame them either… I don't like to share too. And the cuddling rights is written by me, the esteemed star, Hanseol Park." He puffed out his chest proudly and hit it a few times only to wince at how hard he hit it, he had to cover his cheeks because he blushed as soon as Jae called him out for getting another supplier for sweets, namely Yeon.

His eyes did lit up when Jae suggested on a road trip but with a bigger space to occupy his claustrophobia, "You're so considerate, you know that? I don't want you to get tired from driving though… I hate driving but I can spare a few hours. For you." It was going to be hard but he usually could survive an hour to two hours long car ride. "Oh you're right, if I didn't have to function like a normal being I wouldn't leave the bed. It's like… a sacred place I worship. Besides, most of the time I get to cuddle you on it" he cleared his throat and leaned closer to the table to whisper, "The bed serves me a lot of good memories too" And just like that, he leaned back to his seat with a smirk like nothing happened. "But fine, if you can drag me off the bed I'll follow you anywhere." Han had to agree with the online buying part because his skin is quite sensitive hence why he always hand washed all his clothes. Perhaps the only dedication he'll ever have.

He had to gush at how cute his boyfriend was being when he's jealous, "I kinda like this jealous side of yours, Jae. It's cute… and incredibly hot. Yeon knows how to mend the lines though if I became a victim under the mistletoe then maybe" he teased, he didn't mean to rile him up but he was just so cute when he's defensive. "5 days- a week? Are you serious? Are you telling me you're gonna be in my bed, well our bed, for 5 days of every week? Is it Christmas already because this feels like a gift" he actually gaped until he had to close his mouth, this was big news for him, "Bring your whole wardrobe if you want to, not that wearing my clothes is not an option, it just means I get to steal some of those shirts." He smiled softly as he nodded in affirmation, "This is just the beginning of the story for us, babe" There were so many things that he has yet to do anyway, "You and I, we're gonna last long. It's a good thing we have the time to do that. Though I have to question… would it be illegal for you to date a minor" he giggled sheepishly.

The way they glided to the music following its beat made them look like decent dancers even though his eyes were on Jae the entire time, not even noticing if he would be stepped on, the sight before him was too marvelous to look away, "Those couples that danced looked romantic… I just wanted to have a go, I'm still exploring, remember?" The two words were more than enough to send shivers down his spine as he kept his eyes locked on Jae's as he dipped down to press his lips on the dhampir own, softly. "Stay with me" he murmured, one hand holding his waist delicately while the other held his face, "Please."
