It hasn't even been that long since she's been roaming her hands around the tablet that was laid to rest on her mahogany desk. The countless notifications that kept popping up every once in a while however, did bother her. Slightly. Because it it has obviously took her mind off the actual problem she was trying her best to solve. "Unbelievable little thing.", she grumbled in distress and swore she would throw the gadget out the window if it bothers her again. Malva wasn't a fan of the modern day 21st century, that much she was sure everyone knew. She expressed her distaste on their dependency being solely on a piece of trinket, and the rules of technology that was left wide spread around the world wasn't helping. Though it was helpful for their guards and them just as well to keep a well furnished and neat record of tracking, it didn't mean the Aspect of Magic had to have a particular liking to them.

The only thing she finds to her liking was the fact that they no longer needed to deal with the lesser side of civilization. It hasn't dispersed altogether, clearly. But at least, it was at a tolerable rate, better than their early centuries. At least, their manner of a civilized lifestyle was rather nice and stable, instead of barbaric and twisted as Malva would 'eloquently' put it. The amount of sarcasm has made herself out to be a salty person. When she took her time of the day to see if her family of dragons were coping well or not, after going through Cora's 'life', she divulged in her other younger sister's, Argent. The redheaded Aspect of Light led a peaceful and simple life in Evermore, and she was glad at least one or two of them had found serenity in co-existing in the eternal city, even if she, herself, hadn't.

She did come across upon one guy. Donovan Hendrix. He owned a bar called Eternal Blues, just somewhere in the dhampir and vampire residency. And, he had somewhat a relationship with one of their guards, Dawn. She dismissed him easily, until she came across the part where he was also a connection with her sister that was Argent. Malva was rather interested and drawn into their conflict and whilst finding it amusing, she wanted the best for all her siblings, especially her sisters, the ones she doted upon. Being the eldest out of the 4, she felt the obligation to act out in their interest because of her nurturing caring and maternal self kicking in. Yes, surprisingly, Malva Ailward is a nurturing maternal person.

She might have given off the vibe that she couldn't care less but it was quite the opposite. One would think with her current state, she was actually someone who decided to take a left turn of life and turned every single emotion off by putting it somewhere that is not void of use. But contrary to other's belief, she was dealing with the same problem, only it was the opposite. She had too much emotions. And she had to place them somewhere safe because her magic was always derived off it. It has made itself to be the most dangerous component ever. Maybe paying a certain dhampir a visit wouldn't hurt. It wouldn't be the first for her to pay a dhampir one. Shrugging off the memory she had, the slightly flaxen haired Ailward made her way to the garage, so she could drive there. It was 11 pm. Quite late.

-----------------------------

After parking her car nearby, only a few blocks away from the said bar, she tucked both hands into her jacket and make her way in thru the entrance door. It was slightly packed, and she could already see all the auras they emitted. For the Aspect of Magic, she was able to see the natural status of every supernatural creature that she watches over; basically anyone associated with magic. Dhampirs were one of them due to their immortality switch and their runic magic. She couldn't find him within the crowd so she decided to go and ask around. To at least, one person. Making her way to the bartender, she took a seat and gave him a smile. A tight lipped one that managed to come across as a genuine. "Hi, do you have any idea where your owner, Donovan Hendrix, might be at?" Now, unfortunately, Malva does not know how he looks like. She's only heard of him. No more, no less. With that being said, if he ended up being the bartender she was conversing with, she still wouldn't know.

Donovan had spent the last few months constructing ‘Eternally Blue’ with the help of a helpful Nephilim named Siobhan who had a talent for construction unlike any he had seen. After learning about his sister's death while serving as an Ailward guard he knew he need to move on with his life and find his own life, he had spent so much of his life searching for her, so much of his time had become wasted in those years. So here he was in the town of Evermore attempting to have an actual life. He wondered daily if it was a fruitless effort, but meeting Argent turned things around for him even if it was in a strange love/hate way.

Opening night was a big night for Donovan the night started, and the club was filled people drinking and enjoying the set till the early hours of the morning. This was how the first week was form him until the club entered the area of regulars and what not. The first few weeks were great, but he enjoyed the mellower crowd that came now. He got to know the people who came often even a few people he didn’t think would show up like his ex-girlfriend Raina and her family. Along with his current girlfriend Dawn who would show up with a few of her diviner friends every now and then. The only person that hadn’t shown up through the door had been Argent. Every night he wondered  if she would accept his invite, he found himself looking for her Everytime a coopered haired woman was caught in the corner of his eye. Finding himself sighing everytime it wasn’t her.

Tonight was no different the music was playing and Donovan wiped down the bar as he showed his staff he wasn’t afraid to help out even though he was the owner when Malva walked in and over to the bar. Donovan made his way over to her and smiled softly as he stood in front of her and leaned his hands on the bar after tossing the towel over his shoulder “Evening Miss what can I get you?” he asked as he waited for her to order her drink and once she did he began to make it for her.

Setting the drink in front of her he crossed his arms over his chest and with a classic Donovan smile he spoke. “So what brings you into Eternally Blue? I just don’t remember your face and trust me I would.” He chuckled softly “Not that I am not grateful for a more customers maybe it means my club may make itself well known one day.” He raised a brow when she asked for Donovan Hendrix and leaned against the bar slightly studying her for a moment “That would be me how can I help you?”

The moment Malva stepped inside the busy bar, she didn't expect to see Donovan easily. Well, she wasn't expecting it, at least. But a busy bar without its owner seemed too far-fetched, even for her. The Aspect of Magic was inexplicably in utter delight upon finding out that she had no need to go out her way while searching endlessly for the said dhampir she was originally seeking. An amused smirk made its way up to the corner of her lips as she took one more glance over the bartender standing just in front of her. Well, that was easy. “Good evening to you too, Mr Hendrix. I must say, quite the spectacular day for your bar. It's flourishing.” For a new business, you don't see that happening so quickly, but Evermore is a rather ‘tantalizing’ place to find oneself in.

Unfortunately, Malva doesn't drink. It was a torn up case between not being able to and not wanting to. Half of her wished she could drink her sorrows away and forget about them for at least a day, while the other persisted heavily how a drunk her was a huge problem. Sober her was already a handful, could you imagine a drunk her? She saw the aftermath of hangovers taking over her brothers before, and she can't say she liked it at all. The aftercare was always the hardest work of all. Especially when they couldn't seem to recall if they did anything stupid the night before. Scrunching up her nose slightly, she waved her right hand in attempts to dismiss the offer. “I'm afraid I don't drink. My brothers would have my head if they find out I did.” she sheepishly remarked, tapping her nails against the mahogany wooden counter as she settled herself a little bit more comfortably on the seat while facing the dhampir.

Luckily, the noise wasn't too entrapping, so a decent conversation can still go on smoothly. “I think just telling my name should ring a bell somewhere, considering the affiliation you have with the histoire of our ‘guards'.” There was slight twinkle in her blue hues as it flickered mischievously in response to what would be his reaction afterwards. “Don't worry, I didn't come here to stop you from dating Dawn or filling up my sister's head. Although she's been quite slacking at lately.  Just wanted to see for myself who the mysterious guy that got Argent off her high horse was. Consider this a- familiar intervention.” Briefly forgetting to introduce herself, she offered him a small smile. “I'm Malva. Argent's older sister. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Donovan.”

Donovan chuckled at the woman who had settled herself in front of him and gave a slight smile as he looked around to the crowd that had manage to gather before letting his eyes rest back on her. “Guess this town needed a blue’s club more than they knew. Tends to keep busy which is nice, gives me a purpose.” He said as he picked up one of the glasses and started cleaning it as he looked over her for a long moment, knowing he noticed her face but couldn’t quite place from where. Maybe she had been in the bar before and he hadn’t had a chance to notice.

Donovan moved the drink aside and then poured her a glass of water. “I have tea and soda also if you want anything else.” He gave a chuckle and leaned against the counter, leaning his head slightly to the side to look at the aspects deep blue hues “Your brothers would have your head? Do I need to ask for an ID? Put a stamp on your hand?” he teased as he moved standing up again fully. “For real though why would they have your head? Religious thing? Or just never drank before so not sure how liquor would affect you?” he question a little more moving a bowl of peanuts a little closer to her so if she wanted she could eat some of them.

As she mentioned the guards he stiffened slightly, sure he was dating a guard and had grown close to an aspect but his sister still died being a guard. He had a love hate relationship for the aspects and what they are and do. He cocked his brow at her as his arms came and crossed in front of him “Filling your sisters head? Wait what do you mean I have knocked Argent off her high horse?” he pressed his hands to the bar leveling himself to be at her height. “Argent and I are friends, I mean sure we didn’t see eye to eye at first but how can my friendship be effecting how she does her job?” a wave of concern for the copper haired aspect ran over him, her frowned looking down to the bar for a moment.

He searched along the bar before turning to the other bartender tossing the rag at him “I’ll be in my office, try not to need me.” He said and then picked up one of the bottles and looked to her. “Wish I could say the same at this moment Malva. Follow me please.” He said moving from behind the bar towards his office tucked away in the back hall where the bands tend to wait to go on. He moved through the door leaving it open for her to follow in behind him. Twisting the cap off the bottle he sat down in his chair and poured himself a glass before looking to her “Alright. So what is this intervention about?” He asked leaning back in the chair raising the glass to his lips as he takes a long sip from it.

Clubs and bars were never her scene. She wouldn't go as far as to say she hated places like that, because if it's that way, then you probably would not see her stepping anywhere closer than a mile from the said places, much less venture into them. Malva dislikes them for what they represent and what the place was supposed to attract, she is quite old-fashioned to begin with, anyways. There's still some part of her that still held on the conservative ideals somewhere, though hidden quite well. The Aspect of Magic was generally curious to whom the person her sister was taken aback by, and she can't say she's disappointed. Donovan Hendrix seemed like a charming lad.

Perhaps it was why Dawn latched up on him in the first place, and even Mal couldn't blame Argent for filling her head with him. The red-haired Aspect of Light will never admit it to her, and she won't need to, because it's a sibling instinct to sense it. Mal has spent centuries worth of company with Argent, and she's a good reader. From what she could see, the dhampir is quite a carefree guy. So casual and outgoing, no wonder his bar is doing pretty well up the area. You gotta know how to do the marketing sometimes. “That's good to hear. It's nice to have a purpose, keeps you going.” She can't relate, but she does know one thing or two about it, Mal is still working as a pathologist in Evermore General, afterall. It was by far, the only thing that could keep her head away from the darkest pits of where her mind would tend to wander off. Instead, she'll be able to fill it with knowledge and worries on a patient rather than her. A perfect go-to deal for her.

When he offered other kinds of beverage, she smiled politely and thought it'd be rude to decline such an offer. “A soda will do just fine, thank you” she exclaimed softly, her voice completely betraying her physical appearance. There were times when she could pass off as a college graduate, and there were times when she acts her age pretty well. It's all thanks to other contributing factors such as her clothing, her attitude and personality. “An ID isn't necessary, for what it's worth, I am legal, don't worry,” To be fair, her ID does state she's 23. “My brothers would have my head because I'm not supposed to drink. Let's just say I'm your worst drunk ever. Not that I would know, the closest thing I got to being tipsy was when I inhaled a few hallucinogens by mistake.” Granted, not the kind of hallucinogens she was talking about but it works.

Shortly before coming here, Malva did conduct a small research about Donovan. Just a few things she needed to be briefed before anything, so she had a decent amount of exposure to his feelings towards the Ailward faction as a whole. So it did pique her interest to see him dating a guard and now possibly occupying the state of mind of her sister, who doesn't fall for people as easily. Call it protective sister mode. “I'm not saying she's doing a terrible job at her duty because of you. She's fine. It's just that you're a peculiar case.” She would lie if she said he didn't keep her interest going too. He is an interesting person. She couldn't help but to scoff at him saying he and Argent are friends. Sure doesn't look like it to her. But given their family's history of.. Relationships, she wouldn't exactly be surprised.

Malva followed the dhampir into his office casually. “You know all those dramas when the family side of that girl comes to talk to you about leaving her alone? Something similar to that, but not quite. I'm not here to tell you not to see her, just me wanting to know more of my sister's friends,” Okay, this is getting really interesting. “Nothing wrong with wanting to get to know them, right? Also, how did you two meet anyways?”

Donovan stared at the woman in front of him, he had known he had seen her before but couldn’t quite place who she was. Though he settled on the fact she could be a guard in that brief moment, maybe Dawn had sent someone to spy on him. Dawn had been rather untrusting of him lately, yet refused to come to his club and see it, sometimes it got under his skin. Annoyance was already flaring in him but he kept the smile on his face. “We all need purpose don’t we?” he asked simply after all he assumed all the guards and aspects had their reasons for what they did. A drive for purpose. “Without purpose why are we hear some of us longer for others, is there a cosmic reason? Or not. Life's questions we find ourselves wondering every day no?” He said as he shrugged “Gives me a reason to stay out of my head.”

He nodded at her order and filled the glass with soda before setting it in front of her and then chuckled softly as he raised a brow to her. “You know if I had a dollar every underage girl used that exact same line on me, well I could buy a much bigger apartment then the one upstairs. Though since you want soda no reason to card.” He leaned closer and gave her a puzzled look, until she explained more “Worst drunk huh? I know a few bad drunks so it would take a lot for you to prove that point.” as she spoke of the hallucinogens the Dhampir snorted at the thought “Well none of those here for your liking sorry Darlin’.”

Donovan settled himself in his chair as he reached in his desk to pull out the bottle he kept there, he was sure that he was going to need it now knowing he wasn’t dealing with a guard but in fact an aspect. Something about the aspects brought a pain back he didn’t want to relive after all his sister was a guard and lost her life in the fall. He still blamed them but knew it was also his sister's choice to be there. He just wished he could have seen her in her good days and not the bad memories he had of her. The fact his sister was Argents personal guard before the fall was what drew the pair closer to one another. Argent meant so much to him that he couldn’t stay away from her even when she wanted him to the pair seem to just pull together. He would never admit it out loud to anyone especially since he was dating Dawn his feelings though, he shouldn't have these feelings.

Donovan raised his brow to the aspect as he waved his hand for her to sit down and then leaned back in his own seat “Alright you want to get to know me? I understand that after all I am a stranger to you and yours, other than Argent and Dawn.” he paused for a moment before he poured a glass. “I came to the Manor looking for my sister Ayla, I learned that the people in the house.” he waved his hand at her, “Where the last she had been seen with. So I came and Argent answered. I showed her the picture of Ayla and well she told me she had passed away in the fall of sky.” Donovan chose to leave out the part where the pair had exchanged angry words before realizing they were upset with the loss of someone they both loved. “Then I was invited to one of your events and well Argent told me she wanted to be friends.” he shrugged as he took a sip of the drink “What else would you like to know?”

Donovan wasn't quite what she expected but then again Malva wasn't sure what she had been expecting anyway, she didn't usually have any expectation for anything or anyone, that's the easy and tolerable trait about the Aspect of Magic. She doesn't judge because she really wouldn't have the right to do so nor does she care. Perhaps it's a bad trait or not being as caring as she once used to be, yes, once used to be. Malva wasn't always cold, anyone who actually knows her well enough would know that. Honestly, no matter how deceiving she could be in front of other people's eyes, anyone with a good eye can spy that it is just a facade; a mask, nothing more and nothing less. His question was a rather tangible one though, it's been a while since she actually had been asked such a question like that, so much the Aspect of Magic had to stop momentarily and think about it.

"I guess you do have a point there, I wouldn't know as much though. I don't take care of myself well enough to actually take an interest about life's questions." Lie. Contrary to other people's beliefs, the brunette Ailward Aspect actually asked herself a lot of questions about her own life and what her purpose is, even until today. Maybe that's why she became slightly defensive secretly, because she could relate to it. And that is one hit too close to home. She chuckled softly at his suspicions, okay perhaps that one had reasons warranting it, Malva does appear younger than most, probably the youngest in appearance after Argent despite her being the eldest sister of all 4. "I guess you do have reasons to worry about that, fake IDs are easy to come by these days but no, worry not because I am not underaged. I have an ID just to prove it if you even need one. It wasn't as if you would actually be needing one anyway, you're not giving me any alcohol anyway" she retorted dryly, it wasn't that she wasn't a big fan of alcohol, she drinks, but not often. Very rarely.

It's mostly because when she's drunk, her head is very unstable and her actions are usually quite unpredictable and that does not bode well with an unstable Aspect of Magic who surrounds herself with magic. Literally. Better be safe than sorry, others said. Can't say they're overreacting either, the last time she got drunk, she turned Deus into a rodent for 2 days. "I'm the kind of drunk who really likes to sicc people when they touch me. My brother suffered for 2 days, I don't think it was pleasant because I had to make it up to him a week later. And he still brings it up during annual family dinner." He will never let her live in down for sure.

Hearing his story did make her raise her eyebrow in amusement, he did not expect for him to be the one who barged in inside, "so you're the one that I heard the last time… The one who came by and well gossip travels fast," she whispered distantly and smirked wryly, "I think you left out something but I'm not gonna prod, it's not my business. Besides I'm really here genuinely and personally on my own behalf, if someone is good friends with my sister or brother, surely I should get to know them too. Insurance purposes. They've been through plenty of hurtful days, sometimes we can't even count them altogether and I'm sure you would understand as a sibling, I am entitled to take care of their welfare" she mused lightly, her tone no longer snarky and sarcastic but softer in comparison. "Not that they make it anywhere particularly easy at all" she huffed. "I'm sorry for the loss of your sister, we lost many good souls during the fall" Offering her condolences for their fallen guards are not something foreign for her, she had done it so many times it was starting to get numb.

Mainly because she shut down her feelings, no point in torturing herself if she is only gonna lash out and hurt people. "I'm just here to know how well your friendship stretch out, Donovan. And to make one of my own. You seem like a good guy, I trust my sister's judgement too, I just came by to see what kind of person you are."

Donovan found himself giving the Aspect an ya right look. “Everyone has wondered about life's questions at one point or another, even if they are not actively thinking about it.” The dhampir gave a shrug. “But what do I know, I’m just a nobody.” He shrugged as he messed with some of the glasses. “Almost like fake IDs happen like magic.” he gave a snort at the thought wondering if a Diviner was making money this way or not. He noticed she was rather defencive for someone he had just recently met, maybe he had pressed a button he didn’t intend too. He finished cleaning the glass he was holding and gave a slight chuckle. “Well then I guess it is best you know that drinking is for you especially if it affects the others around you. I am sure  your brother appreciates you making the effort.” He gave a gentle nod.

Donovan stayed quiet for a long moment as she spoke of how he was leaving something out, he didn’t think it important since Argent had already forgiven him. “Insurance purposes.” he gave a slight snort but nodded “Only wish I could have done the same for my sister, before her death.” he said with a sideways glance.”We all have been through plenty, clearly some more than others but I feel the loss echo in me for her. So I get it.” He gave a heavy sigh as the last memory still played in his head over Ayla. “It's something that brought Argent and I closer, since Ayla had been her guard.” He reached his hand to the back of his neck rubbing it softly. In that moment all he wanted to do was reach for his phone and call Argent, have her near him.

Donovan’s Dark eyes moved to rest on the woman in front of him. He chose to move around the bar and take the seat beside her and crossed his arms as he leaned upon the bar top. “After learning that Ayla was gone, I was going to leave town again. Yet Val my leader needed me. She needed help, losing my sister, I couldn’t leave my best friend. So I stayed and besides Val I wanted to get to know the people who knew my sister.” His gaze flicked to her and then away. “That is what Argent offered me insight on a woman I didn’t know. Ayla was hooked on so many things before she disappeared I figured I would find her dead. But not dead because she was a hero. I was angry that I didn’t get to know that side of her.” He said as he shrugged.

“Other then that your sister comes in and likes to listen to me play, I plan on teaching her guitar since she wanted to just learn everything the world has to offer.” Don chuckled at the thought of argent a stupid smile on his face. “That little ball of light could brighten anyone’s day. She is the good. I am just trying to make sure she sees it, and she is happy.” The phone in his pocket growing heavy with the want to talk to her.

Malva was always shutting everything else that surrounds her from her head, whenever she's immersed in something. In this case, she was busy occupying her time trying to finish what was left to pick up from last night. Her muse always tends to come at the weirdest of times, she never had time to actually question its credibility. Why was she doing this? Why is she here out of all places she could be at, interrogating, well… more to questioning this guy that her sister just so happened to have an attachment over? Was it one of her many attempts on searching for peace and serenity? Tranquility? It sounded far than absurd in her vocabulary and dictionary, but then again Malva was a natural-born pessimist who sometimes sees the good and positive in others. Occasionally.

“It’s as easy as it comes, I don’t think it would be a complicated process to get an ID working, I would think some diviners are in it for it as well, witches like us like to be very dependent on the magic” she shrugged absentmindedly, it definitely wasn’t impossible. Admitting to being a witch was not weird for her since it wasn't exactly the first time she's done so, but again, it has been a while. Whilst she doesn't like being called a witch, it's only fine if it comes out from her. Double standards, really. Technically, they were basically witches and warlocks, so there was nothing foreign about the word in any of their contexts. “Yeah, a drunk me wouldn’t be in anyone else’s favor so I’ll stay away from any prospect of letting me rain fire on everyone” she retorted dryly, it wasn’t surprising. They can be a whole mess when they’re drunk, the Aspects. She’s seen it firsthand, and well, it wasn’t exactly posing to others as a good example to get them drunk or anywhere near the word of high or hallucinated.

“He better… The way I’m holding myself back from any alcohol for his sake is a sacrifice itself, especially when everyone around me kept drinking” she huffed, it was slightly unfair to the Aspect of Magic who couldn’t do much because drinking is okay but since her tolerance is nowhere near high, she can only consume a certain amount, and because of what happened the last time she got drunk on alcohol, they decided to keep her warded off any substance such as that. Losing a sibling was not something everyone can take without a heavy heart so she applauded his strength, she couldn’t fathom what would happen had she lost any of her current siblings. Despite being the only child of her family, the other Aspects grew as her brothers and sisters, and so did the guards.

The name Ayla perked her ears up, it was familiar and it wasn’t until he told her that’s his fallen sister, that Malva was able to piece it. Ayla had been one of Argent’s many personal guards, when the other falls, another takes up the mantle, hence Aurelia’s current rank as well. “I remember how tear stricken my sister was… losing your personal guard is not an easy thing, you can almost feel it tug on your heartstrings” she would know, Tati did leave her after all. But at least, she wasn’t dead and now she had Damien. He was good for her sister, that much Mal could see from the way his emotions filled his eyes and movements. When you live your life a while, you tend to read people very well. “I’m glad she found someone she can be happy with. We weren’t granted the luxury nor privilege like that, so I’m happy to hear she could find it here.”

“Last time I called a Diviner a witch she took my voice for a week.” He muttered under his breath remembering the not so fine week of his past before focusing on her again. He gave a short chuckle as she talked about raining fire in his club. “I would appreciate keeping my club doors opened. Thank you for being so kind.” He never really thought much about giving alcohol to Diviners as much as he did in that moment. He gave a gentle smile and gave her a slight chuckle putting his hands up slightly worried he hit a soft spot. “I am saying if I was your brother I would appreciate you taking one for the team and what not and not drinking to keep our home safe.”

After he told her about his sister and who she was and what had happened and how he became a part of Argents life he saw her soften her features towards him. He frowned softly at the face Argent cried over his sister's death, it made the lump in his throat show up thinking about Ayla. With a gentle sigh he looked down for a moment working on controlling his emotions before looking back to her. “I know I am an outsider when it comes to the Ailwards, I know you are here trying to do what is best for your family. Just know I don’t intend on hurting Argent or Dawn. Who is actually my girlfriend.” He wondered if Malva knew about the Diviner and the fact they were dating.

“Argent and I are just trying to get over what happened to Ayla together. I think it helps her me being so much like her in many ways. As it helps me because she can tell me stories about who she was. The last I saw of Ayla she was a drug addict lost in the world. With the Ailwards she found a place that made her a hero in the end.” He swallowed softly as he thought about Ayla for a moment before turning his focus back to her. “Argent has come to be my friend and I like to think if anything we will always will be even…” he cut himself off reminding himself he was dating Dawn and that Argent and him were not a thing. “Anyways...I am guessing I pass your test?” he asked gently.

Malva couldn't help but to allow a snicker to escape the reins of her mouth the moment she heard him muttering how a diviner took his voice away and rendered him voiceless for a week upon calling them a witch. "To be fair, most hated the term being used on them. They think it's... " she pursed her lips slightly and tried to rake her mind to find a much more suitable word to phrase it, "Well, derogatory? Unfit? I don't know. They just hate being referred to as one because the media didn't exactly pose them well. You have to thank that one Hollywood filmmaker who got offended by a diviner refusing to help him a century or two ago. People can be so petty over trivial matters." She shook her head and clicked her tongue in response to that, she wasn't going to defend the humans for giving them such a name, especially after the Salem Witch Trials that affected many of them but she did know it hurts when it does. Cold as she may be, the Aspect of Magic was still considerate.

"Hope my brothers saw it that way, we don't communicate as much these days, I'd say the same doesn't apply to my sisters but unfortunately that's the matter now" she shrugged, it was fine. Siblings fight. They make up. Things get settled. Before another cycle starts again. Malva knew she could always count on her siblings, at the end of the day, even if she didn't like the idea of being so dependent on someone. Truthfully, she was a bit taken aback when he said he was dating Dawn, a member of the Guard, now she did not know the authenticity of that said rumor. But then again, it wasn't like her to be taking a part in knowing her faction's other welfare that doesn't need her attention. She wondered if Argent knew, she probably did. "Oh, I didn't know that. I guess that kind of explained things…" she trailed awkwardly, the air was getting to thin it was so silent she was sure she could cut the tension with it. Even the music outside didn't manage to get into her head.

"I am not always a good judge of character. That being said, it means I am not a saint nor do I pretend to be one. I have my flaws and faults, but as you may well know, I've lived for quite some time and reading a person from a single glance is something most of us figured out to do as a practice for future preservation skills. I know you don't intend to harm either party, Donovan, so fret not" she reassured with a smile, Malva always looked so youthful whenever she smiled, contrasting her usual default expression. "Besides, if you had any intentions of doing that, then I will be hunting you down, tread the lines very carefully, Dhampy" she warned playfully, there was a slight edge to her tone which said she was all kinds of serious but the mischievous glint in her bright hues said she was trying to jest.

"I don't know your sister that well, I'm guessing because I don't pay as much attention as I thought I do. But I do know who she is. Personal guards are given a lot of respect and are held in high regards. In fact, they are the highest ranked guards in the faction. They are close to us in so many ways people never thought they would be. They connect with us. She was definitely special." It was sad to see her fellow comrades dying over the centuries but it was inevitable. As time passes by, Malva just tried her best to get over it. "I have plenty of them to be honest but… I like that you're honest, Donovan. And that is enough for me to know you're not a bad influence in my sister's life so yes, you passed the test" she mused heartily. "My sister is a fragile soul. Strong hearted yes, but I can't help but to see each and every one of us can be quite delicate in a way. She's been through enough heartbreak and pain, I hope you can at least bring her solace by being her friend and who knows, maybe something more in the future."

Donovan gave a slight snort from his nose as he thought for a moment back to when his voice was taken from him. “Well she was acting like a witch beforehand, so it was deserved.” he grumbled as he rubbed his throat again. “Didn’t like me telling her No about having a kid with her.” He gave a slight shrug of his shoulder. He listen to her talk about how Hollywood’s portrayal of Diviners as Witches was from a scorned Screenwriter. It was interesting to know that the history of why Hollywood did Diviners dirty that way. Though it made it easier for Diviners to hide among humans since they could be portrayed as evil. “People and petty kind of just go together, always have. Even if we like to think of ourselves as not petty people we often find ourselves being petty over something at least once in our life times.” He gave a gentle shrug and sighed.

“Ah sibling hood the people you would die for but often fight the most with.” He mused as he had been part of a decently size family with a sister and a brother of his own. He knew well how communication could fall to the side. After all, he didn’t know his sister left to better her life and now she had past and he would never know the person she was. He watched her face turn into one of shock after learning that he in fact was dating a Guard. “Explains things?” he wondered what the woman in front of him thought, as things seem to turn into a silent awkward moment. “Dawn is sweet and we have fun together.” he said softly as he looked around the club as a way not to look at her, because if he was being honest, he couldn’t see a future with the diviner guard.

“Age is something that Argent and I have not talked about, I know that she is older, much older.” he paused for a moment as he rubbed his forearm softly. “But I also know that means nothing to me since our words immortal is kind of a thing.” He gave a soft chuckle and nodded gently “you are correct I don’t wish to harm anyone.” he looked to her and felt his lips turn into a slight smirk as she gave him a playful warning. “You Malva strike fear into anyone with those words. I will heed your warning clearly.” He spoke back in a serious tone despite his smirk he wore. “I am sure you will be the first to come to me if you feel I am doing something wrong.” He said softly as he figured she knew where he worked and most likely knew he lived above the club.

Donovan always felt strange talking about his sister, especially because she had never been the way she was with the guard to him and his family. “I am just glad she found a life worth living before she went down a fully dark path she was on before.” he spoke softly as he smiled that she had reached a high rank within the guard and had been honored and loved. All he ever wanted was for her to be happy. She had seemed to reach that for what Don could tell. Donovan gave a soft chuckle and smiled. “Well glad to know I passed the test.” He said as he shrugged “But I make no promise on not becoming some kind of influence on Argent. I plan on teaching her how to play guitar and maybe get her to write a song or two.” he smiled softly at the thought of writing a song with Argent. His eyes rested on Malva as she spoke of Argents fragile soul and he knew that things between them where a weird push and pull, but he told himself he couldn’t hope for more as she made her feelings clear to him. “Aye we never know what the future holds.” he said as he took a sip from his drink. “I promise not to break her soul though. I would never want to do that.”

Malva chuckled softly upon hearing his response regarding that one bad matter from his past, "Well, an encounter with the wrong witch can get messy, at least you got out intact?" Did he really? Though, she had to admit, the Aspect of Magic was visibly floored when he said it was due to the fact that he would not have any offsprings with her, "Oh? Wow… those people still exist? Was she the kind who goes batshit crazy because someone rejected her advances?" She couldn't say she's never heard of those cases but then again, they didn't encounter as much of those rabid ones, at least they didn't surface up to her radar, one she was sure the other guards took care of before it reaches her attention. Malva was never tolerable when it comes to petty and trivial matters; that was certainly it.

"I guess you're right about that, but we can't always satisfy everyone, no? Even if we were as kind as the epitome of kindness could be, people would always find a way to pinpoint the wrong in whatever we did. It's a never-ending cycle that really does need to stop but in a way, things are balanced. So I guess, I can't complain." His definition of siblinghood certainly made the brunette Aspect grin, how accurate the description was. "I don't mean to make this awkward between us, sorry for that" she coughed sheepishly, "It's just that rumors were spread, you know? The Guard is overall, a big family to us. But sometimes we're not that close to be knowing their personal lives, we heard that Dawn got herself a new boyfriend and that she was utterly smitten but I wasn't expecting that, so that explains things for me" she reassured him it wasn't a big of a deal. People can be surprised genuinely over things they weren't sure of.

"Though, I have to ask, Donovan. Are you really happy with her? Don't get me wrong but I can identify what a person who is content looks like… and you don't seem to fit the description bill when it comes to her. I'm sorry if I'm prying, you don't have to answer that if you don't want to." Okay, perhaps, she wanted to see why Argent was close to him, the Aspect of Light was generally good around people but surely there was something special about this dhampir. Malva scoffed when he said Argent was much older, "You don't say." She never really tried to instill any fear to anyone else for fun, contrary to people's beliefs, the Aspect of Magic didn't prefer being known as someone hostile but it does work in her favor all the time. "Good, I don't want to go on a hunting trip on another person who broke my sisters' hearts."

It must've been hard for him to recall about his sister, losing one without knowing what happened to her would've made anyone feel guilty. "Oh? That's actually a good kind of influence so I don't think we have a problem with that. The only ones I have to warn you about is those drinks, she's a lightweight" she whispered teasingly, if she had a dime for every time she saw an Ailward drunk, she would really be able to hold a whole collection of moments in her book. "Take good care of her, Donovan. She's been through a lot and I wish for nothing but the best for her and I know you do, too. From the looks of things, it seems that she would be in good hands though, so perhaps I worry over nothing."
