The Niveis had manage to settle into their new home atop the mountains in Evermore pretty smoothly. It was a tribal effort to get the cabins built enough to have places for everyone to sleep making it a proper settlement rather then just pop up huts. Anivia wanted her people to have a sense of home in their new location. Though the question always lingered in the back of her mind if this was the right choice for her people. They were not a large species by any means, one wrong stepping in Evermore could strike a war between the Niveis and Initia just like with the Phoenix a lot of them once were.

Anivia couldn’t remember the last time she had been alone since settling in to the new town making sure her tribe was safe and settling in. That morning she woke up with a massive headache only having a few hours of sleep. Since her and the father of her daughter got into an argument about their daughter having a job in town. She looked to the time and with a sigh pulled herself from the bed pulling on a pair of pants. She needed some time to herself, some time to reconnect with her element and just be at peace. So she chose to to leave a note on her door stating she was taking a day from the tribe and if she was needed she would know it, since she was Psychically connected to all of them if something were to go down she would feel their panic.

Anivia set out into the forest heading as far from the tribe and anything else so she could meditate in peace. When she reached a small clearing that had snow foxes running around she let out a soft breath of relief. She looked around one last time to make sure she was alone before she stripped aside her clothing not that she was wearing much anyways folding them and setting them aside. She lowered herself to her knees and began to speak in her mother's native tongue. Her mother had taught her to become one with nature fully in her naked form as it was a stronger connection to their element and mother nature.

As she spoke in her native talk all the markings from the ones around her ankles, to her wrist and then along her spine began to glow bright icy blue. Her wings grew from the ice blue tattoos on her back an her opened her eyes they glowed a bright blue also as she slowly leaned her head up, the snow around her began to slowly lift from the ground and swirl around her, as she watched the vortex of snowflakes dance around her. She felt at peace as the doubts she was holding slowly felt like they were melting away.

When she heard the branch snap, her head to the snap to the side and her eyes connected to Wyatt as he looked back up from the branch he had broke. Her eyes dropped to the camera he held in his hands at this point no one had known they were in town yet besides the ambassadors, so a fear swelled inside her chest and she stood up quickly letting the snow she was dancing in the air fall to the ground. Quickly closing the space between them “who are you?” She asked quickly taking the camera from his hands throwing it into the clearly with no care if she broke it or not “and why are you here?” she hissed out to him.

The sun was beginning to peak above the treetops as the crisp air blew over him from the mountains that appeared to be nearby due to their magnitude, but were nestled about a mile or so away from where he stood now. Wyatt lifted a hand to shield his eyes as he looked up towards the brightening sky. There were barely any clouds and it looked like it would be a clear day just as the weatherman had predicted, much to his delight. This would be a perfect day to capture some great shots.

Wyatt had wanted to get a few new pictures up on his website for his photography business now that winter was beginning to come to an end. It was clear spring was on its way as the earth defiantly pushed back against the cold and left over snow that littered the ground. His boots crunched under the snow patches on the forest floor as he readjusted his backpack and continued forward through the trees. The air around him felt different and he couldn't wait for spring to begin. Not only did he enjoy the warmer months, but it was just better for business. People tended to have their events during the warmer seasons and that was when they needed a photographer to capture their important moments.

The diviner moved on until he saw a small family of foxes chasing each other through some brush. He lifted the camera from around his neck and quietly crouched down to take a few shots of the animals as they tumbled about. It seemed they were just as excited as he was about the change in weather. Wyatt watched them for a bit until they ran off up ahead and out of sight. He continued forward as he heard them skittering about, hoping to grab a few more shots of them.

He had almost thought he'd lost the furry family until he saw them darting out from under a bush and through a small clearing up ahead. The diviner lowered himself to the cold ground again and zoomed the lens through the greenery to capture the animals. Wyatt's features suddenly scrunched in confusion though as the snow he was capturing was beginning to lift from the ground. "What the..." Standing up again, his green hues peered through the bushes where he saw a woman crouched on the ground. Her wings were spread out wide and the blue markings on her body began to glow brightly as the swirling of snow he'd seen through his lens continued around her. This form of magic was something he'd never seen before and at first his mind wanted to say she was some kind of Nephilim because of the wings, but they were nothing like the ones he'd seen in his lifetime and it wasn't like they could do this kind of spellwork. Wyatt continued watching in awe until a branch nearby him snapped from his weight as he pushed forward to watch her. The woman's head whipped around and she quickly stood from the ground and came straight for him; the snow that was once swirling around her dropping immediately. Realizing he was standing there with a camera, this probably didn't look good. Especially since she was naked.

"It's not what you think..." Wyatt began as he put his hands up to show no threat, but the woman was on him in seconds. He wasn't sure what to expect, but she quickly took the camera from his grasp and tossed it to the ground some feet away. "Hey!" The diviner didn't move as he sighed and kept his gaze on hers so she could hopefully see the truth of his words behind his eyes. "Listen, I'm a photographer. I came up here to work and I happened upon you here by accident doing... well, whatever it is you're doing." It was obvious she was in full fight mode and though Wyatt could defend himself using his own magic, fighting was not exactly something he wanted to do. "You can go through the camera yourself and see the pictures. That is if you didn't break it," he suggested, muttering at the last part with slight bitterness. "I won't move. Promise. It's not like I'm going anywhere without my baby."

Anivia acted without thinking in that moment, forgetting she was bare in the middle of the woods trying to connect with her element alone. The stranger caught her off guard in a vulnerable moment, something she hadn’t done in years. “It's not what I think? Why would you be up in the mountains this high? Hikers tend not to come this far.” though she wondered if she went far lower on the mountain then she was suppose to go lost in her own doubting thoughts. Anivia rarely acted without reason and yet with this man she was holding to the tree she was not acting like herself.

Her eyes still glowing blue as she was accessing her element for strength to keep him there, even though she was a skilled fighter she would rather not use her power or skills against someone unless forced too. She listen to every one of his words carefully and then slowly loosened her hold, as her eyes turned to their natural deep brown shade. “Photographer?” she question her gaze looking over her shoulder to the object she had tossed from his hands thinking it was a weapon.

“You are saying that is not a weapon?” she dropped her hands from him completely, the fight leaving her body as she let out a soft sigh. She could feel the bitterness in his words as it was clear he was attached to the object that was now rested in the snow that she had kicked up. “Stay.” she said becoming completely aware in that moment she was naked in front of the stranger. Moving picking up her robe along the way slipping it over her shoulders hiding most of her markings now.

She moved picking up the camera and began to look it over. Turning it over in her hands a few times. Being raised on an island that was rather archaic even though traveling through the world the last few years should have had her gain more knowledge she felt like she was truly lacking when it came to technology though. Clearing her throat she looked to him as she held it up in the air. “Show me what this is meant for?” she asked in a question though she was sure it came off stern, it was the iceness in her voice. “If you prove it is not a weapon you can keep your head.” she stated clearing her throat.

Wyatt remained still as the woman seemed to be taking in his words, trying to assess if he was speaking the truth or not. After a moment of quiet with which she decided to listen to reason, he couldn't help his brows furrowing in confusion when she questioned the purpose of his camera. She didn't know what a camera was? This encounter was getting stranger by the moment.

As her grip relaxed on its hold, the diviner dropped his hands slowly to his side and did everything he could to avoid looking at her while she stood in front of him very naked. He kept his hues to the ground as best he could while his periphery saw her begin to step away from him slowly, but with the order she gave him like a command to a dog, Wyatt's eyes quickly zeroed in on her in an annoyed expression before rolling his optics and crossing his arms over his chest.

The dark haired woman wrapped a nearby robe over her body and then began to move towards his camera. It was incredibly hard to watch the scene begin to unfold. Someone else was about to touch his prized possession who had just carelessly tossed it aside as if it weren't the most important thing to him. It was like ripping a piece of him off. Like a limb, in fact. She didn't even know what it was! Wyatt's weight shifted from foot to foot as he anxiously watched her pick the camera up with curiosity, moving it over her slender hands with not as much care as he would like. When she asked or more so demanded that he show her what the purpose of the camera was, Wyatt quickly took it from her hands and felt his tense muscles slowly release. His mouth moved into a thin line as he looked at her, wondering if this was some kind of joke, but he could tell by the seriousness of her expression that she was being truthful despite the oddity of the whole situation.

"It's a camera," he said simply and with a hint of exasperation. His fingers moved about the various buttons and lens to ensure they hadn't been damaged from being thrown with such recklessness. He pulled the bottom of his shirt up and wiped away all the dirt and wet snow that clung to it quickly and carefully. After deciding the camera was still okay, a shaky breath escaped his partially parted lips. His gaze looked over to her again more calmly. "You take pictures with it." The words sounded strange coming from his mouth as if it should be so obvious and this was still some kind of joke. "See?" Wyatt pushed on the power button and scrolled through the various pictures of the fox family he had captured only a few moments ago. "Here, you try." He offered the camera back to her and lightly took her finger to place on top of the capture button before moving back a few feet. "Normally I'm not so fond of being on the other side of the lens, but I guess I can make the exception this time around." He motioned to lift the camera up. "Okay, now look in the screen and center me before pushing the button." Wyatt stood still and waited for the sound of the shutter while standing there somewhat uncomfortably. The familiar noise echoed in the quiet woods a moment later and he stepped closer to her, scrolling to the last image she had just taken. "There I am. No weapon. Mind if I keep my head now?" he questioned, the words laced with sarcasm as he took the camera back from her and put the strap over his head. The weight of the camera hanging from his neck was comforting and instantly relaxed him more as he glanced at the stranger who seemed to have been living under a rock. "So... My name is Wyatt. What can I call you?"

Anivia knew that to an outsider someone who grew up in the world with the advantages of knowing what technology was. She was not so fortunate, getting to know what a car was blew her mind when the outsiders joined the tribe. They told tales of large buildings and many other things that brought most of the tribe to their knees in thought. While the Niveis tribe had been committed to learning to fit in there where still many things they didn’t know or understand about this world. A camera was very much one of them. As she turned it over in her hands until his much warmer hands took it from her grasp.

She gave him a softer expression then more of wonderment as he began to explain what the device was. “A camera.” she repeated storing the word in her memory for later us as she watched him look it over as if it were his child. She felt bad in that moment for throwing it, it was rather unforgivable how she acted even being caught off guard. “Pictures?” she question and then moved closer to him to look at the photos. She reached out touching the display of the fox family she had watched run around the mountains many times. “Beautiful.” she let the word pass through her lips as she leaned closer for a better view.

Though before she knew it, the camera was back in her hands and he placed her finger over the button. She watched him step back after raising the camera up to her face. She looked to the screen as she pressed down on the button. The shutter sound made the Niveis almost jump and drop the camera but she kept a grasp on it until he took it from her hands once again. Looking to the display once again now seeing his photo there. “That is amazing.” she looked at him with pure excitement in her eyes, before quickly frowning softly as she looked away from him.

“I must sound like the red queen.” she gave a soft sigh out. “Forgive me for the threat, as my tribe and I are still new here. We are not sure what to expect fully. I tend not to be one to react first but as I was naked and in the middle of reconnecting with my element I was rather vulnerable.” She admitted. “I do hope your Camera is okay and if not I will make sure you get a proper replacement.” she spoke in a much softer tone then their first interaction as she gave a slight bow of her head to him out of respect. “It is a pleasure to meet you Sir Wyatt. My name is Anivia, Anivia Frostbourne The Chief of the Niveis tribe.” She stood back up from the bow with a gentle smile on her face.

“Maybe I can make it up to you the whole throwing your camera thing.” She said as she took a step from him. “That family of Foxes live in a snow den but I watch them from time to time and make snowflakes for the kits to play with. They enjoy chasing them around. Maybe you can get more shots of them.” she offered as she started to move through the treeline deeper into the woods. She felt like she was on an adventure all of a sudden though he could easily turn it down and be on his way.

Wyatt raised a single eyebrow at her long lost formalities as she gave a slight bow and apologized for her reactions. He was more and more intrigued as she spoke, wondering how he had not heard of this species in his research before. The countless hours he'd spent hunched over books, records, and a computer screen to find out anything he could about his kind throughout history would sometimes bring up the lives of other supernaturals and how they were connected to the fae and necromancers. Not once had he come across anything that mentioned this Niveis species.

"Uh, just Wyatt. Sir is giving me a little too much credit," he said with a crooked grin as he began to walk with her after putting his backpack back on. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Anivia. I am sorry if I startled you. I suppose the right reaction was to want to murder me if it were any other woman in your place, especially since most would know what a camera was." He tilted the camera around a bit and gave her a small smile. "I think she'll make it, but I'd be happy to take you up on that offer of seeing the foxes."

The diviner quickly followed her through the woods and lifted the camera, taking pictures of the scenery as they went. His favorite place to take photos would always be in nature during any given season, though he was a bit partial to autumn. The colors it provided was a perfect backdrop to any picture he took. When Anivia stopped, he followed her slender finger to where she pointed at the snow covered den, seeing the small animals still tussling about as they dug to get to the earth below. Wyatt squatted low and zoomed in taking a few photos, but couldn't help to look at her as she began to use her powers to move the snow about for the foxes.

"Anivia," he began softly, lowering his camera for the moment. "I don't mean to pry or seem rude, but I've never heard of a niveis tribe before. Do you all live here in the mountains?" His hues glanced up towards the massive elevations, wondering how long they might've been living there without the interruption of others. If he had to take a guess, it seemed like that was exactly what they were wanting; to be left alone from the outside world. Wyatt let his gaze wander to some nearby fallen branches close to where she stood and lifted them slightly with his mind for a few moments before dropping them back onto the snow. "I have powers too. I was just wondering about yours, if you don't mind my asking."

Anivia give the man a smile with a gentle chuckle. “Alright Wyatt it is then.” she said as they moved through the tree-lines. “It honestly isn’t your fault, the Island we use to live on was far no one just ever came upon it. Guess I thought the mountain would be the same way even though we are still part of the city.” She said as she walked barefooted along the snow. “I should know better to react the way I did, even if you where a murder I could have easily overwhelmed you once I knew your true intentions.” She looked to the camera. “Gut reactions are not always the best I learned that a long time ago.”

She watched Wyatt take photos, wondering if he saw the beauty in nature the same way she did. Beauty in the iciness like she did. She had never met anyone with a camera, though those who came to the tribe from the outside always had strange devices she found herself wondering what they where. A lot of them had their noses stuck in them even told her she should get one. She focused on the snow as she made the snowflakes dance for you the young focus who bounced around chasing it. Bringing a soft smile to own face as they danced with the snowflakes.

As he spoke her name softly she turned her head towards the man she had just met. “It is not prying to want knowledge of something you do not know.” Anivia had a mind that thirsted for knowledge, it was why she spent so much of her time with books since well before leaving the island. It was the only reason she spoke English, because she wished to learn things outside of the culture she was raised in. She mused for a moment on how to explain what a Niveis was, as she watched him lift the branches in awe. “Well I may not have been able to overwhelm you as easily as I thought I may have earlier.” She tilted her head to the side. “I will tell you what we are, and what I know the best I can if you can tell me what you are.”

The woman moved to sit in the snow and closed her eyes as she began to tell the story of her people, making it a show using the ice as her puppets to make figures and move. “I am sure you know what the Phoenix race was, fire birds with a temper that seemed to never end.” She said as the markings along her arms, ankles, and spin that were interlocked began to glow an icy blue. “Well my father wished to no have his tribe murdered in the bloodshed between initia and Phoenixes. After all he was a phoenix himself and they were losing the war rapidly. So he took his tribe of phoenix after losing his first lover Unyak, to an Island far away. Claiming the frozen wasteland the phoenix started to get ill, not being connected to their element in any way.”

She paused for a moment. “Coldren… My father was the first to past but he didn’t rebirth right away. As the tribe realized they were no longer as immortal as they thought they went to bury him. Yet he did rebirth but not as a firebird, but rather an ice bird. Feeling stronger than ever Coldern murdered his tribe that night and waited for each of them to rebirth. Naming them Niveis, he claimed his first of many lovers. My mother.” She said as she paused, “Things happened on the Island, and the title of chief was thrusted upon me. That is a different story though. When I took over, I began to send out some of the tribe members to get in contact with other Niveis I had felt. Many came to see that they were not the only ones like themselves.”

She smiled at that point, “They made it so the tribe didn’t fear leaving the island, we traveled around for a little while picking up other Niveis along the way before settling here in a supernatural hub. A place I hope is welcoming enough even though our phoenix counter parts burned their bridges.” she said softly as she let the snow settle back to the ground. “So no we do not all live in the mountain, we are just the largest settlement of Niveis in once place. There are many out in the world, but they all feel confused on what they are.” she said as she placed her hand over her heart feeling the confusion each Niveis was feeling from around the world. “I do hope to help them all one day.”

Wyatt stayed kneeling as he listened to the woman explaining the origins of her tribe. He of course knew of the warring that continued on endlessly between the initia and phoenixes as did most of the supernatural world. It was something that ended in far too much bloodshed and death for no good enough reason at all. As far as he knew, none of the phoenixes in Evermore were still around anymore and had all but disappeared. Even in his travels, Wyatt hadn't come across a single one of the species and had thought they had all perished or went into hiding. It was quite unbelievable to see that some had in fact adapted and evolved into something else entirely.

A brow raised at the mentioning of her father killing the entire tribe. 'Well, that's one way to test the theory.' He shook his head and gave a quick whistle when she finished her tale. "Wow. Quite the story." His mind went back to her icy blue wings and wondered what other changes happened to the phoenixes in their risen state of becoming a niveis.  Wyatt could see how she felt the pull of those of her kind who were still caught between the devastating change of stepping away from their once fire tribe to a new kind of supernatural. "Honestly, I understand where you're coming from in similar ways."

He let the camera hang from his neck and sighed as he recalled the beginnings of his own faction. "I'm what my people like to call a diviner. Once my kind was separated into two kinds of groupings that were constantly at odds, much like the phoenixes and initia. Throughout history they were fighting among each other for the mistakes and choices of their ancestors, leaving nothing but the bodies of hundreds for reasons they couldn't even remember. Eventually the leaders of the covens came together to put aside their differences and try to understand how their supernatural abilities were affecting one another. See, some of us are stronger in the daylight hours while others are stronger when night falls and being near one another seemed to cause for chaos."

Wyatt's mind recalled the events of the night that changed everything. It was something he could never forget. "A comet flew overhead us one night and the power it brought with it knocked us all unconscious. When we woke, we discovered we could do both light and dark magic instead of just the kind that we were more drawn to for most of our lives. Much like being born again. It was somewhat exhilarating and scary all at once, but it brought us all together even more. We still have our quarrels, but I think we are on a better path now than we have been as a species in hundreds of years." His eyes glanced absentmindedly towards the den where the foxes were still tumbling about, thinking of all the drama that seemed to befall his coven. "Perhaps one day we can truly learn to master ourselves, though I'm not so sure that anyone truly does in their lifetime. Even the supernaturals who live forever." He looked to her with a quick smile before standing up again. "Are you keeping away from the other phoenixes? Do they even know besides the ones who are changing?"

Anivia let the snow settle back in mound on the frozen earth as she finished telling the abridged version of her tribes history. There was much more to the history, so much that Anivia had talked about writing it down with the help of the elders of the tribe. She wasn’t sure if it was something that should be done, but after reading the human’s history she saw they had their share of bloodshed. She looked to him as he let out a low whistle it pulled her from her thoughts on the tribe history she was stuck in for that moment.

“You understand?” she questioned leaning her head to the side, letting the frosted tips of her hair fall to the side. She listened to him as he spoke of the diviners and how they two had once been two ruling factions and how they fought but came to terms with one another. How things settled after the comet she had heard about before and how it affects several of the species. She looked back to the foxes as she thought for a moment. “I am glad your faction has seem to banded together unlike the firebirds and element wielders. The fact any species wishes to fight another so often baffles me, and I was raised by a man who believed in an army style of life.” She hoped she was speaking clearly enough as English was her second language, and while she used it often sometimes things got muddled in her head. “Guess its the need for chaos if we are at peace truly we would go mad.”

Anivia raised to her feet as she dusted the snow from her rope and looked to him as she gave a shake of her head. “Most phoenixes are gone from what I have been able to tell, those who aren’t reside hidden.” She said as she took a step closer to the foxes as the kit ran over to her. She leaned down scooping the baby fox in her arm and looked to him. “I fear Phoenixes for what they did, for how they tore many people apart with their hot headed ways. Many of them have gone mad and it isn’t their fault, just how the blood boils in the brain when using fire the way they did. With that being said though, no we are not keeping away from them. We prefer the mountains, we can make it snow and it not look out of place. It's safer for us up here and easier for our kind.”

She mused over the last question before giving a shrug. “Many who have come to me that are outside of the tribe had no idea there were more than them. So it is safe to say Firebirds do not know until after the change takes place or a loved one changes.” She said as she then looked him up and down for a moment. “I have never met a diviner before. What do diviners do?” She knew each species had their special abilities or tricks of the trade. She walked closer to him with the kit as she scratched behind its ear causing it to close its eyes as she did so.

"We fight a lot," he said automatically with a scoff, watching her come closer. He reached out with his hand slowly towards the fox in her arms and let the animal take in his scent. The kit moved its slender snout across his fingers before deciding that Wyatt could be trusted. Its whiskers tickled his skin and the animal rubbed his red and white, furry face against his palm as he lightly pet its head. Wyatt lifted the camera and focused in on the baby who raised its ears fully at seeing the foreign object moving closer. He took a few pictures as the fox placed its snout directly on the lens. A small grin formed as he breathed onto the lens and used the bottom of his shirt to wipe away the residue from its nose.

His gaze went back up to Anivia and he sighed softly as he tried to sum up in his head how to best answer her question. "Diviners can perform magic," he began, glancing down to make sure he'd properly cleaned the camera before lowering it to hang around his neck safely. "Me, I'm a light diviner. I'm strongest during the day hours when the sun is up. I draw my power from the burning star. Those who are dark diviners draw their strength from the moon. The light members of my group are called fae and our other kin are called necromancers. Once the Gemini comet hit, we combined to be called diviners as a way of inclusion and a showing of equality now that we all could do both light and dark magic. I'm one of the oldest in my faction, actually. My cousin likes to tease me about that." Wyatt met her eyes then as he continued talking. "She's the leader currently, much to the surprise of all. Long story."

Another one of the foxes gathered enough bravery to come check on its sibling as it slowly crept up to Wyatt's feet. It sniffed him ferociously before biting the edge of his jeans and pulling. Wyatt shifted his weight slightly causing the kit to run off again towards the den. "Essentially though, we can do a lot of things when it comes to magic. Some spells can be done with the speed of thought." His hues landed on a tree nearby where he focused on a lower hanging branch which still had the remnants of clinging snow. He mentally shook the limb and caused the snow to fall to the ground. "Simple things that don't require much else such as telekinetic thought. Other spells require ingredients and tools. Audible words to be spoken. I've been looking further into more difficult, ancient magic myself to strengthen the coven." That and he couldn't get enough of learning as much as he possibly could when it came to his kind.

"We can even teleport distances a few times in a day by ourselves or with someone else." He shrugged matter-of-factly while saying it. "Actually, causes for some great laughs and great scares if there's someone on the destination side that isn't expecting it. Diviners know to be rather careful with doing that, though the idea of porting to a convenience store when you run out of milk to opt for the easy way out is incredibly tempting." Wyatt had in fact done that to his cousin on a few occasions when he knew she was getting into trouble and stopping her before she could make a bad decision. A handy spell she didn't take too kind to. "And what of the niveis? Is it a form of elemental control over water and all its forms?" he asked, taking a guess from what he'd seen of Anivia's powers before the throwing of the camera and death threats.

“Seems there is a lot of fighting in this world.” she gave a soft sigh as she looked to the treeline doing a scan as she was trained to do from a young age then looked back to the kit in her arms moving towards the diviner. “I think she likes you.” she said as she watched him smile taking photos. She could tell he enjoyed the camera thing in his hand and taking photos. She never had anything she was passionate about besides being a healer. She wondered if maybe she could develop a hobby outside of being a chief or if it would be to much on her. Her brain working a mile a minute in her own head. She couldn’t remember the time she did something for herself.

She focused her gaze back to him as he explained the difference between the diviners and their magic. “Why didn’t you use your magic on me when I, well, attacked you?” She wondered as she tilted her head towards him in question. “If you command  magic then you could have stopped me easily no?” She then chuckled at the thought of him being the oldest but looking much younger than she did herself. “Well nothing wrong with being the oldest. Maybe you she remind her to respect her elders.” She joked and then moved to rub her face the young fox in her arms. “If anyone knows a long story about leadership its myself as you know by my little display earlier.” she said gently. “Do you like following her rule?” she wondered out loud to him.

She chuckled at the other Kit as it ran off from Wyatt. Her hues watching the telekinetic power that he used before looking back to him. “An adventure.” she said more solidly understand him a little more. “I think we are more alike than I had thought. Though my adventurous nature was not one of magic to strengthen my tribe but rather one to learn about was off the island we were locked away upon.” She moved lowering the kit in her arms to the ground to run off with her brother. “Have you found what you have been looking for? I imagine even if you had, your heart would always want to venture more.” She said as she moved to watch the foxes again as they ran around. “Looking for ancient magic, has it been dangerous?” She asked gently.

She gave a soft laugh as he spoke of how his teleporting was used for scares sometimes, or for everyday items. “Interesting, so you are a… what's the word.” she paused for a moment. “A prankster?” She finally managed to come up with it. “I am sure your cousin must love that.” She chuckled remembering her brother she had lost and how they use to joke with one another. Giving a gentle sigh in missing him. “Yes, Water in any from the more there is the stronger it can be for some. Though training really is what decides that factor. Sometimes takes many years to get to the skill level of well someone like me.” She gave a gentle shrug. “Though being the first pure born of my kind I had more people wanting to see my limits from a very young age.” She said as she looked back to him for a moment. “Though unlike the cousin initia of ours we have wings also made of ice and can breath under water and use our wings for both flying and swimming.”

Wyatt was intrigued to hear about the abilities this unknown species was capable of. He couldn't believe that their existence was essentially the branching off of another that was dwindling away. It almost seemed like that could've been the fate of the diviners when they had been at each other's throats throughout time. Their evolution and resilience was something to admire in a way. They'd escaped the fighting and survived what might have been a total extinction, even gaining new abilities. What he wouldn’t do to have wings of his own that weren’t attached to a plane.

“Looking for ancient magic has been the best parts of my long life, honestly. Traveling and magic are the things I’m most passionate about, so the fact that I get to do them together is more than a dream come true, really. I'd say I do it for the coven and I do, but it would be a lie to say that that was the only reason alone. It can get dangerous, but it’s worth it. Knowledge and history in any form is worth the danger. We need to know where we came from to do better in the present and future. Learn from our mistakes.” One of the best and worst parts of history was finding out what your kind was really capable of with the amount of power they had and a lack of knowledge because of silly biases.

He thought back to her statement of people wanting to see what kinds of power she could do. “I know what it’s like to feel the pressure of others wanting to see what you’re capable of. My father was a bit of a perfectionist in a way and always wanted to push me to do the best. Be the best. Sometimes I would get frustrated with him and myself, but later in my years I realized that without his guidance and drive, I wouldn’t be as passionate or strong in my abilities as I am today. Probably get my stubborn ways from him.”

“As for my cousin,” he continued putting his hands in his pocket and sighing. “She and I haven’t been in each other’s lives very long, but we’re building on our relationship. We’re probably the only ones left in our family and she was hesitant about coming to Evermore. Her leadership was a surprise to many as I said, but she’s taking it in stride and leans on me when she needs a second opinion as I’ve been in the coven for much longer. There’s been some pushback, but she’s doing really well.” He grinned thinking of the time he ported in Kaelyn’s kitchen making her scream and drop a bowl of spaghetti. The tomato sauce splattered over everything and all over her face which had Wyatt in stitches for a solid minute before he could begin helping her clean up the destruction. “I’d say the prankster in me helps to keep things light between us when we’ve had a heavy past. We've lost a lot family in death and also literally not knowing where they are. I've been trying to find as many tracking spells as possible to see if I can possibly locate any that might still be alive, but I'm not getting my hopes up to avoid disappointment.”
