"Look, I don't want any trouble, okay? Just leave me be and I'll be out of your sight before long. I promise." That's what he had been telling those weirdly dressed and rugged men who had chased him all the way from the last stop to the docks at Reykjavik. He even promised them he would be out of their sight if they would give him the chance to do so but all he received were laughter that felt antagonizing. He remembered running. All he did was run and run until his legs finally couldn't take it anymore and give out halfway before reaching his destination. He remembered how hard the pavement was and how his knee was scrapped because of his fall. He remembered the shoutings and hoots from the group of men who would not stop chasing him even when he's done nothing to warrant the chase.

He didn't steal neither did he lie. Han was just trying to walk around and mind his day per usual. He didn't ask for any of that. And most importantly, he remembered how he kept asking the sky every single night, "What did I do wrong?" He didn't know why people kept chasing him and nobody gave him an answer. The memories felt so fresh in his head, like it wasn't that long ago since it happened when it has been over 87 years since it occurred. When he woke from his nightmare, he was already sweating and Hanseol wasn't even surprised. The Celestial haven't had a hard time sleeping due to Jae but ever since Sunmin appeared in his life, he couldn't get rid of this nagging feeling that was slowly eating his heart away. What if Sunmin was facing the same trouble he once faced? What if he was in trouble somewhere and he wasn't there to help?

From the looks of things the last time, he was confident that the other male was able to take care of himself but he still couldn't stop wondering how he was living his day. Did he sleep comfortably? Is it cold where he's at? Is he dressed warmly? Is he eating well? So many questions kept bombarding his head and it hasn't allowed Han to have any peaceful nights at all. In result of that, the brunette had been searching for Sunmin every chance he could. He even went back to that church he found him, but there were no signs of him. It was like he never went there, at all. Han went to every single place he thought Sunmin would be at but to no avail, his search was futile.

Today was one of those days again, where he would search for the other Celestial endlessly without realizing how much it was slowly taking a toll on his health and well-being. He was supposed to check out from his work 2 hours ago, he was supposed to go home to the embrace of his loving boyfriend, he was supposed to stop wasting his time on this search. There were plenty of things Hanseol was supposed to be doing yet here he was, still waiting in front of the church he first met Sunmin, coughing from the cold weather while only dressed in his work clothes that was nowhere near warm enough for the Celestial to be battling the cold. He even left his coat at his office. The clock struck 11 30 pm and he was still sitting on the bench that was slightly covered by snow, hoping that he would be able to catch a glimpse of Sunmin again. "Where are you, Sunmin…"

His entire career is based on sick animals so seeing a little bit of this and that didn't faze the Celestial as much as it once did. Especially now that he had two puppies to care for, and a bunny to boot. Byul is usually very healthy and rarely caused any trouble, though the same couldn't be said on Yeontan. True to his name, the mischievous Pomeranian had a way to make the Celestial groan and whine in complaint. It was a never-ending saga between him and the pup. "Ugh don't remind me that we have such a troublemaker for a pet so much he comes up with a new episode every week. Who does he think he is? A celebrity dog to make a new episode every week? I'm not paying for any of that... " he grumbled, a shiver ran down his spine whenever he thought about the things that Yeontan chewed and consumed, "Unfortunately, it means I have to pay for the damage done by him." Of course they love him regardless of what he did. Yeontan had a soft spot in both their hearts, no matter how intolerable he could be sometimes.

It reminds him a lot of his situation with Sunmin, no matter what the younger Celestial do to him, he's never going to give up on him. It was simply not possible for the hardheaded and stubborn Celestial to give up without any forcible aspects to it. Hearing the progress in Jae's voice only fueled him to feel like he's achieved yet another milestone in his life and it felt good. "Of course she's smart, she's Byul" he huffed, Han does like to put her on a high pedestal, lovably because he's had her ever since he learned to love a decent life here in Evermore. It's a reminder of what he's done so far. His pout lessened slightly when Jae told him Byul was there for Sunmin because he had Jae taking care of him, "Ah… of course. My boyfriend is so smart" The dhampir's presence alone could now calm him down into thinking everything will be alright hence why he's been improving with his panic attacks. Once upon a time ago, Jae had to talk him through. Now there was no need for it. He felt accomplished because of it.

"Ah so you noticed I've been stacking up on bath bombs on the second top shelf" he teased and bit his lip, "I was wondering when you were going to notice that. I bought them for special occasions and while this is hardly the time I'd use them… I love that you're trying to take care of me so it's a pass" Besides, the mix of cherry blossoms and vanilla extract together was slowly lulling the Celestial to its hold. If he didn't have a man to get back to, he may actually fall asleep once he sunk himself in the bathtub. His eyes raked over the other male's body and hands while he unbuttoned his shirt, every touch was so soft and delicate, it made his heart swell with the gesture. "He didn't want to go to the hospital… he said no hospital, I had to respect that" he murmured softly and pulled his pants down after discarding his shirt aside, eventually soaking himself in the warm bath. A content sigh escaped him as he grinned gently while holding onto Jae's hand, "I won't be long in here, I'll be out soon. You can go ahead and rest up, resume reading that book you like."

Jae had to let out a small laugh when Han made his signature annoyed groan when he mentioned how Yeontan was a troublemaker “Maybe he’s gunning for his own reality show” he teased playfully nodding his head a few times. Despite the fact that he tested their patience and made them curse with frustration sometimes, they loved that dog so much, he had been a part of their lives since the two of them met and in some ways he brought them together “He’s starting to get past the part when we can call him a pup now” he spoke softly and smiled a little sadly “But he’s always going to be tiny so we can just call him that for his whole life huh?” he chuckled under his breath.

And then there was their other fur baby, Byul, she was definitely the more mature and affectionate dog, she followed Han pretty much everywhere he went and looked at him like he was the sun and stars. Jae wasn’t as close with her because Han was her person but together they were still this strange little family “True” he responded softly “I feel like they’re both with us for a reason, Byul to show us all the good around us, Yeontan to remind us to laugh” he nodded a few times, he never expected to have a dog of his own but it was special now that he did. He smiled “Not necessarily smart in everything, but I like to think I’m pretty well versed in Hanseol Park by now” he smiled his signature boxy smile towards him

“I had noticed, though I admit, using one was more of a panic when I saw the plain water in the bathtub” he chuckled under his breath, he was still figuring out this whole being romantic thing but he found it sweet that Han had bought them for special occasions “But it smells really nice and it’s soothing” he spoke softly, so in the end he didn’t regret using it because it was definitely helping to fade the smell of blood and puke which neither of them wanted to linger. “I know, baby” he soothed when he explained why he didn’t take Sunmin to the hospital “I know how important promises are to you” he lingered for a while even after Han got in the tub because he was worried but when Han assured him he could rest he nodded “You know where I am if you need me” he spoke it softly before heading back into the room and climbing into his side of the bed.

He was about 4 or 5 more pages through his book when his eyelids started to feel heavy and while he tried to make himself concentrate, he felt himself getting more and more tired and he didn’t even mean to start snoozing with his face pressed up against the pages.

The thought of his own puppy that once stared at him and blinked innocently has now grown into a big trouble maker that gives them joy in the household really did scare Han, briefly. One, because he had no idea where all the energy came from. Two, because he wasn't sure if he could take care of him this well on his own. But there's the answer to his thoughts too, he wasn't alone in taking care of the Pomeranian fluff, he had Jae to help him. Just like how the Celestial realized he wasn't alone in the world anymore, because he had Jae to help him. "Please, I don't think I can take it if he continues to be such a trouble maker like that, cleaning up his vomit every morning is not how I picture spending my weekend, okay, I came back home with sore muscles only wanting to do nothing more than cuddle you, but no, I have to get called for a vomit cleaning duty" he grumbled, ever since Yeontan kept eating and chewing things he really shouldn't, the puppy also had a penchant for marking his place. At least it wasn't pee. Yet.

"Should I charge him with the crime of halving our affection time? He made me lose 32 minutes the last time... " Jae was right, Yeontan was far from being a puppy anymore, it almost made Han tear up at how fast he's grown. "If he wants to be treated like a big boy, he'll act like one. Until then" he shook his head and said nope, popping the P just for the sake of it. Byul was more closer to his nature and Yeontan was showing plenty of traits like his other owner. "You forgot to include yourself in the equation, Jae" he murmured softly, Byul and Yeontan rocked his world, but Jae made him never want to leave it. A small giggle escaped him when Jae said he was well-versed in Hanseol Park now, "Next thing we know, you'll even know what I was thinking before I even thought of it. Unless you've already been granted the ability of doing that."

Han was generally sensitive to smells, so he would often be very picky with what cologne he's wearing or how the house smells like. It's the reason why the Celestial would have a cleaning spree every two weeks if possible. The place was surprisingly neat for two boys and 2 dogs, with a bunny, even though the latter slept most of the time. The bath bombs were just there because it smells good and it's fancy, it's like killing two birds with one stone. Truthfully, Han didn't want Jae to leave but he knew he had to wash himself and take this small window of time to reflect on what he did. He didn't forget that he's been neglecting the dhampir for weeks long. Once Jae exited and the sound of the door clicks, Han leaned against the tub while washing himself gently. The blood didn't stick too much so he was able to wash it off without any difficulties.

After a while of soaking himself, the Celestial was already draining the water in the tub, and had a bathrobe wrapped around his body while drying his hair using the hair dryer on the sink. He was about to go to the dresser but then saw Jae snoozing against the pages of the book, which made him smile fondly as he pulled the book away and placed it on the bedside table before tucking him in, "I'm sorry baby... " he pressed his lips against his forehead before taking off his robe, discarding it aside as he joined the other male under the covers.

Jae gave a playful roll of his eyes and shrugged “You complain about it but we both know you love taking care of them, you’re a caretaker, it’s in your DNA” he remembered the one time that he had gotten a little sick in the past year and how Han had immediately gone into caring mode. Same with Sunmin, he got hurt and Han did everything he could to take care of him, it was in Han’s nature to want to look after others and he was sure he enjoyed doing so. “I mean I’m not sure he has a credit card you can bill for the damages” he commented with a slight snicker shaking his head in amusement. Jae’s eyes softened when Han said he forgot to include him in thee equation “I’m here to remind you to love” he responded and nodded slightly.

“You’re thinking that you have the best boyfriend in the world who ran you a bath really hot because for some reason you seem impervious to the heat” he chuckled softly and stroked Han’s hair softly before giving one last look and getting into bed. He wanted to stay awake to talk but it had been a long day for Jae too, considering tonight started with him preparing dinner for the two of them and it was already late then. Thankfully his teacher had emailed earlier to say classes for tomorrow would be cancelled so he didn’t need to go in early. He slept but it was more like dozing than comfortable sleep, his breathing shallow and gentle.

When he felt the book moving from under his face he came to sleepily, opening his eyes just as Han pressed a soft kiss against his forehead, he smiled and shook his head “What are you sorry for?” he murmured as he rolled over in the bed. When the felt the familiar presence of his boyfriend laying in the bed next to him he scooted closer, tucking one arm underneath him and the other over and pulling him close against his chest, he snuggled up against Han’s shoulder “Do you feel better?” he spoke softly as he left a soft kiss against his shoulder.

Despite trying to scrunch his nose up and deny those allegations made by the dhampir, Han knew it was the truth. He may not realize it before but perhaps, he had a penchant for wanting to care for people or animals alike. He just wanted to show and give them something that would make them feel better, even if that was just a smile for the day. It was a pure intention, one that Jae continuously reminded him of, every single day. "It's in my DNA, you make it sound as if I'm a genetically engineered… AI" he gasped dramatically and placed a hand over his own chest to suppress the feigned shock, "Maybe I am one... "

A grumble escaped him when Jae reminded him Yeontan didn't exactly have the ability to make it up to him, "I won't ask for payments in the form of cash or in anything that has monetary value then. If he could stop chewing something aside from his food for 24 hours, that's a start to his road of repaying his debt." He squeezed his hand reassuringly and pressed his lips against his knuckle, an action he does very often to remind Jae how much he loves him. "It feels good soaking in the warmth…" he whined softly, the water wasn't that hot to him, he felt like he could lay there forever. Maybe he had a certain liking to it, who knows? He's never been a fan of the winter aside from the festivity that comes along with it, anyway. "But yes, I have the best boyfriend ever."

The entire time he soaked himself in the tub gave him the time he needed to reflect on what he did to Jae. He was going to make things right. He wanted to talk, maybe just a bit but the moment his gaze fell on his sleeping figure, he couldn't find it in his heart to wake him up. They can talk tomorrow, he told himself, and was quick to wrap his arms around him. Han was a bit surprised when he rolled over, "I'm sorry I made you wait… I left you hanging. We were also supposed to have dinner today, huh? I'm sorry baby... " he buried his head against his chest and sighed before nodding, "A bit better yes… I want to make it up to you. I want to."

You could say that Jae was a bit of a pushover but it wasn’t hard to make him happy, he enjoyed the little things, from someone taking time out of their day to spend time with him or just getting him something small they knew the liked. He supposed he wasn’t a grand gesture guy when it came down to it but he was a romantic in the sense that he found a lot of joy in his partner. When Han was happy, he naturally felt happier himself, he liked it when the star would rub his back after a long study session or bring him a meal if he got wrapped up in work and forgot to eat. He enjoyed mattering to someone who mattered to him.

Jae still had his eyes close, he pulled Han close against his chest and could smell the scent of cherry blossoms and vanilla on his skin “You were worrying about everything” he commented in a soft voice “You can’t stop yourself, you see people in need and you can’t turn your back on them and you knew that Sunmin needs you” he was murmuring the words softly while cuddling Han against hs chest, it had been so long since he had gotten to be awake before Han went to bed and no matter how tired he was, he was going to soak in this moment for everything it was worth.

“You wouldn’t be you if you changed that part of you” he spoke softly and nodded slightly “But I did really miss you...the take out that I got us is still on the table downstairs” he chuckled under his breath “No doubt the table I set is still there waiting too” it wasn’t until that moment that he realized he hadn’t eaten anything until lunch earlier, he had kept waiting because he wanted to eat dinner with Han, he went and got his favorite takeout special for this after all. “You can make it up to me by telling me a story from before I met you” he spoke softly “I like listening to your past, especially when you talk about your parents” he nodded slightly.

Han was a simple guy, at least that's what he tells himself. He doesn't want a lot, probably a reminder for the Celestial because he knew he's been in a time where he didn't have anything on him. Back then, he hardly had anything of value. Han remembered wanting only three things. One,  to have someone to comfort him so he's no longer alone because that was the most painful thing he had ever endured and never wished to do so again. Two, a roof to house him because he no longer wanted to sleep in the slums again and end up having to go away when someone else claimed he took his spot. Three, food. There was a reason why he became such a big eater, and a past that came alongside it. Finding food had been hard, especially when you're living your life on a run with nothing to trade to even buy something. And when he did have the money, he used it to buy a plain book that he used as a sketchbook.

It was why he would always pull Jae closer to him every time they sleep. He hated having to see the dhampir gone by morning because it scared him to wit's end, what if someone took him? All of that gradually died down the longer he learned more about the dhampir, who seemed to be so strong from the outside but is really a precious gem inside that you really wanted to give a hug and kiss all the tears away. Even now, Jae is still reassuring him that he did nothing wrong and Han wasn't sure how to feel about it; was he torn between feeling guiltier or was he so grateful to have someone understanding? Maybe a bit of both, but definitely more to the latter. When he heard that he bought them takeout, his eyes drooped and before long, his lips were already forming a pout, "Aren't you hungry? All of that… wasted away. I promise I'll cook anything you want next time, just tell me what you want, I'll find a way to cook it, or have Dae kidnap a Michelin chef." Doesn't seem far-fetched but he's more likely to nudge Yeon and give him those puppy eyes while convincing Yeon to get him the best chef he knew.

When Jae said he could make up to him telling him a story of his past, Han pondered for a moment, trying to find a not so sad memory. "When I first got here, I was volunteering at the pound. Those animals needed a caretaker… so I did it willingly. One day, I was cleaning the pen, there was a middle aged guy who approached me and asked how long I've been working there. I told him I only volunteered, for twice every week. He said he would like to borrow a bit of my time so I allowed him to" It was frankly, a good one. "He took me to an ice cream parlor, and that was the first time I ever tasted it. I didn't know what it was but it sure tasted good"

His eyes were crinkled when he laughed, Han brushed his thumb against Jae's cheeks lovingly as he continued, "Guy told me he wanted me to help him. I didn't know what it was but he was a good guy so I went with it. The next week after that, he introduced me to a bunch of people and told me to write my name. That was all he needed from me. He turns out to be a professor of veterinary medicine and the head of the facility I worked in right now. He furnished me with everything I needed to start this life with a smile." Brushing his thumb against his nose, Han cleared his throat sheepishly, "Sorry it wasn't about my parents. I just thought to tell you this because you never knew."

Before long Jae had sidled up close to him, he liked just laying here in one another’s arms and talking, he could do it for hours, sometimes they talked about their favorite movies, places they wanted to visit, about their day at work or college, about something funny or interesting that happened. Jae was invested in this relationship and he was always learning more about Han every day, it never got tiring. “I guess I went past the hungry stage” he commented and chuckled slightly “That’s okay, there will be plenty left to eat in the morning” unhealthy breakfast because he didn’t have class? Why not. “You know michelin stars are overrated, I prefer your cooking” he grinned slightly “Kimchi fried rice” he spoke softly, yes, that would be nice, a little taste of home.

Jae made himself comfortable, honestly there was nothing more comfortable to him than this bed, he had three pillows which he had positioned perfectly so he could be as comfy as possible, the bed was always warm whenever he shared it with Han. It made it really hard to leave in the early mornings when he had class. He had his eyes closed as he listened to Han’s story, picturing him at the pound helping out all the animals, he imagined him greeting every single one by name as he came to feed them and clean out their kennels. He smiled at the story “What flavor did you choose for your first one?” he asked with a soft smile framing his lips.

Jae leaned into Han’s touch against his cheek, fluttering his eyes open for a moment so he could see the emotion in his expression. Hearing him explain how the guy had helped him to get into the veterinary programme was touching “So he saw how you were with the animals and decided to take a chance on you” he surmised it in a soft voice “You must feel really lucky to have met him that day” he smiled softly, he was sure that Han would have found his way there either way, after all, Han was pretty much destined to be a vet, his attachment and bond with animals was almost indescribable “Did you ever want to be anything other than a vet?” he was sure Han must have had thoughts about what he wanted to do with his life before then

The dhampir's embrace brought him warmth, as he was sure he was trying to generate the same heat so he could share it with him too. There was no other place he would rather be at than in Jaesung Moon's embrace. It was quite literally the best spot he could find himself at. He was worried when Jae brought all of that takeout food only for it to go to cold because they are currently in bed now and there was no way either one of them was gonna go downstairs and eat. Not now, especially when the two of them are huddled up in each other's touch. Who would want to leave the bed, even? Not even his favorite food will manage to get Han out right now. "In the morning? Are you not having class, baby?" he asked, there were times when Han would forget about this and that but he memorized enough of Jae's schedule to know when he had early morning classes at the crack of dawn or late classes until twilight waves a hi.

"Still, Michelin chefs are… exceptionally good at their presentation" he cleared his throat and attempted to mimic Gordon Ramsay, managing to equip himself with a similar accent and gesture, "It's all about the presentation." Kimchi fried rice had been one of the earliest dishes he had cooked for Jae, in fact, if he could recall the memory, it was the first dish he cooked for Jae. "You'll get that too, I'll make it warm and nice, just for you. Maybe I'll even add the meme egg" Meme egg was the name Han gave the egg that he had butchered once. It was a mistake but it ended up serving them a platter of humor. At least it tasted good. Telling Jae the story of how he became a vet student and how it helped to shape his future back then, actually made Han feel proud. It feels like he's accomplished something major. "It was a weird flavor… I knew it tasted like toothpaste but it's surprisingly edible… mint chocolate. Apparently I started ordering another pint every week at the same parlor." It was why his fridge was almost always stocked with ice cream, mostly strawberry cheesecake and mint chocolate flavored ones.

"I felt like he gave me tremendous support to get me where I am today. He had the connections and apparently, he saw something in me, I don't know if he pitied me or if I stood out, but I know it's never good to dwell on the bad side of things. Nothing will come out of it if I was being paranoid. Now I'm doing well…" he pressed his lips against the dhampir's own and grinned, "I have you, a stable job, and a shelter to live in. My worries grew lesser." As expected, Jae seemed to dive in and ask him something regarding the topic, "I didn't know anything about ambition back then. I didn't understand the concept of it, I think. Why would I bother have one if I won't be able to stay long enough to secure it? But, my father was a doctor. And my mother was a nurse before she quit. Maybe I wanted to be like them. Help people. My mother nursed a bird back to its health and I fell in love with animals ever since. So no, I didn't have any other paths to think about. Did you?"

Jae would stay forever in moments like this if he could, with his arms wrapped around Han, both of them feeling sleepy and comfortable in the bed they shared and just talking, he could talk for hours with Han and never get bored, there was so much to learn. He didn’t have any intention of moving a single inch from where he was, in fact, he only leaned in closer, pressing his face close to Han’s hair so he could take in the scent of his shampoo “Oh I forgot to mention my class for tomorrow was canceled, Professor Maine needed to take his daughter to the doctors” he remembered reading the message and getting excited because it was finally an evening he didn’t need to sleep early and that was why he had prepared dinner for Han that night, so they could talk.

“Presentation lasts for about three seconds before you start eating it” he teased laughing softly at Han’s bad British accent as the attempted to impersonate Gordon Ramsey “Maybe closer to 2 seconds for you because you can’t resist eating what’s right in front of you” he jested with a laugh, nudging against his chest with his elbow. “I can’t wait” he spoke softly when Han promised to make him kimchi fried rice just the way he knew he liked it “And you have to add the meme egg, it’s not the same without it” he chuckled under his breath, they had so many random inside jokes between them now, it was really special. “That explains the endless supply of mind chocolate in the freezer then” he commented and laughed softly “I can’t say I remember the first time I had ice cream so I guess I was young, I do remember the first time I had a crepe though” he remembered begging his parents to take him to get one so many times.

Jae giggled under his breath when Han leaned in to kiss him, his eyes fluttering shut for a moment as he took it in before opening once more “I guess you could say maybe luck was making up for the rest of your experiences til now” he spoke it softly, Han hadn’t had the best lot when it came to his life until now but the past few years he had gotten to experience a lot “I know I feel very lucky to have met you, if it wasn’t for you I’d have probably let my parents pressure me into going back to Korea by now” he didn’t want to do that, he had a life here in Evermore now. He nodded as Han explained how he hadn’t had any drive to want anything for a while “A professor who saw something in you and parents who paved the way” he smiled softly “I think you’ve made them all proud” he noted with a smile.

When Han asked if he ever thought about other paths he nodded “I feel like it’s a rule that every kid dreams of being something completely different to where they ended up, I wanted to be a fireman” he laughed softly “I had the toy trucks and everything” he smiled softly, it just wasn’t something that stayed with him as he got older “If my parents had their way, I would be an accountant” he pulled a face “I hate math” he pouted slightly.

Jae had moved closer to him and all the Celestial could think about was how good the dhampir smelt. It reminded him of strawberries, somehow Jae always smelt like them,  he wasn't sure if it was the shampoo or the perfume he wore. But then again his bed sheets are often drowned with the same smell too so who was he to complain? "If you push your face any deeper against my hair, I'm gonna be forced to think you're this close to eating my precious locks, Jae" he cleared his throat and poked the male softly against the chest. Upon hearing that his classes tomorrow was cancelled, Han's eyes lit up almost instantly, "That's a code for me to keep you in bed until the sun is at the highest peak, right?" He tightened his hold around Jae firmer and giggled while burying his face against his neck. "Thank you Professor Maine."

He was thinking of taking a day off tomorrow too. After what happened today, he wasn't sure if he had the energy to be walking around, much less work. "I'm gonna take a day off tomorrow too, so you and I, we can cuddle for an entire day." Which wasn't that impossible considering how clingy he could be. Han could literally cling onto Jae like a koala. "But still… I would've given points on presentation" Taste matters the most to him, of course. A pout presented itself when Jae teased him further, claiming that he wasn't that good at self-control when it comes to food, "You know me, I don't have one when it comes to things and people I like…" he purred and sucked a spot on his skin teasingly before allowing the laugh to come out. "One plate of kimchi fried rice coming up tomorrow then, for a certain Jaesung Moon." The ingredients should still suffice, seeing as Han hasn't been that free enough to cook anything back home for the past month. That'll change tomorrow, for sure.

"Ice cream is the best… then I discovered slushies… that was good too. I had a brain freeze so many times but it was so worth it." It was quite literally the period of growing up for Han. "I like making up now, I've learned a lot… I met new people, I had the chance to fall in love and I'll always cherish that" he murmured and brushed his thumb against his cheek gently, he was glad he had him by his side. He felt so important to Jae, knowing that he was a reason why Jae still hasn't returned to Korea. He shouldn't let him down either. "Hehe… your son is a doctor too, father… mother… " If only they were still alive, he was positive they would've loved Jae. "My mother would have loved you so much… she told me to always look for people with a kind heart, because they'll take care of me. Yours have been the kindest." And he wouldn't have it any other way.

The thought of Jae being a firefighter and then an accountant made him frown funnily, "I mean, you can water down the fire you caused in my heart" he winked, "I don't like math either… so many numbers and symbols… it's so daunting." His eyelids were slowly feeling a bit droopy and Han was already nuzzling against Jae's chest while hooking one leg over the dhampir, clearly making himself comfortable. "You're so comfy… so hot and warm... "

When Han accused him of trying to eat his hair Jae laughed and made a fake chewing sound against him before pressing soft kisses a few times against the spot of his hair he was leaning against “Well they do smell amazing, maybe I can’t resist” he giggled under his breath, he enjoyed being playful with the star, especially at times like this where it was just the two of them and there didn’t feel like there was anything to worry about. Han seemed excited the moment that he confirmed his classes tomorrow were canceled “Well you’re supposed to be at work tomorrow” he chided with a chuckle, but then he supposed he could give the star a pass on a sick day this once, he had actually been unwell after all “But I suppose I can turn a blind eye this once” he teased with a soft smile, closing his eyes and enjoying the warmth of having Han lean into his neck.

Jae laughed when he defended that even if he ate the food fast he would give points for presentation “But how many more points would you give for it tasting amazing?” he knew Han was a taste over visual person but he could understand why he enjoyed elements of both considering he was of an artistic nature. He squealed a little in surprise when Han attacked his neck playfully and he whined softly “Hannnnn” he drew out the words as he snuggled back in close to him. “A whole day at home with you and my favorite food all in one, I feel spoiled” he mused it softly as he reached up to caress Han’s check softly, his skin was really smooth under his gentle touch.

He laughed when he spoke about all of the brain freezes he had given himself “Whenever my parents would take us to the movies they would let me have a slushie, I remembered being more excited for that than I was the movie itself” he laughed under his breath, well now he had a whole list of different treats which he could get Han in the summer. He smiled sweetly when Han listed out all of the things he felt happy to have experienced but his expression softened when more when the other male spoke about his parents. It was rare that Han would openly talk about them but Jae always enjoyed when he did because there was always such tenderness in his voice “I wish I could have met her” he spoke softly “There’s so much I’d want to thank her for” he was looking back at Han as though to say that he was pretty much the entire reason to thank her.

Jae rolled his eyes, leaning up for a moment to reach for the lamp on the bedside table and he flipped the switch off, leaving the two of them in the dark “Where did you learn all of these cheesy lines” he teased shaking his head and clicking his tongue, he could feel himself getting really sleep again, especially as a natural reaction to his hatred of math. He smiled feeling the way Han nuzzled himself in closer again him and he returned the gesture, holding Han securely in his arms as though he never wanted to let go “Good night Han” he spoke softly as his eyes closed.
